If I get blown off by support or the webmaster with an issue, I'm not likely to rejoin. There are enough great sites out there that listen to their customers.

I agree with both guys, customer service is really important and its always great to think you are supporting great sites too. The ones trying to use underhand techniques to get more money out of people are not doing themselves any favors as if you treat people well and they enjoy the site and had great customer service. They will return and return.

Since I have had so few interactions with one than it's never really been a major reasons whether I join or do not join a site.
