The webmaster or technical support should respond to a site problem as soon as possible.
The truth is, most sites either do not respond to emailed requests for help, or do so in a very delayed manner.
The best network I've ever dealt with is MetArt network, which responds with an automated email acknowledging that your problem email has been received.
And then a person from technical support or customer service responds with an email that tries to solve your problem, usually within a few hours.
I realize that most sites can't afford that kind of service, but I've never dealt with a support staff from a different paysite that comes anywhere close to the customer service that MetArt provides.

I know it's frustrating to wait but I think 48 hours is an acceptable time to wait for a site to fix what may be a huge issue.

I picked 48 hours too. While the standard for emails in business is less than 24 hours, the bar for porn sites has been set pretty low. Literally half of them will never respond, although there are some great ones out there too. If 48 hours were the standard across the board, it would be much better than the current situation, and I would be very happy with it.

I think they should respond within a working day.
