Is It The Full Moon ...

... or something? Recently we've been discussing "abuse" of models and our hatred of it, as well as our contempt for certain other actions and niches but my question is:

Is our dislike/contempt/hatred a constant thing or do our inbred/acquired dislikes and contempt for certain niches / actions get beaten down during certain stages of the moon, or by some sort of cycle when it comes to our libido?

I know that I am the softcore, solo, mature woman type. This is what I am looking for, basically, yet when the moon is right or whatever I have strayed into many an area that I usually dislike and have found material that would normally turn me off quite arousing. Does that happen to others as well or are their likes and dislikes eternally fixed, body rhythm or not?

I don't know about the full moon influence.

But over time, as the years go by, my attitudes have changed. I don't like abuse (slapping, choking, spitting, name-calling, etc.). If I see it in a clip, I turn the clip off and watch something else. But my emotional response is far more muted than it was years ago.

I guess that is being de-sensitized. Because I see and know that there is a lot of abusive acting/behavior in porn. I don't enjoy it, I don't like it, but there are plenty of people who do, or it wouldn't be so common.

On the other hand, my tastes have changed over time. My prime interest is in softcore teen photography. There is plenty of that on the internet that is of high quality.

Finding hardcore videos that I like is much harder. There are many more factors in creating a film than a photoset.

There are some porn niches that I once thought outrageous, or perverted. And the idea of those niches now seems more enticing. But I don't even want to get into that, because I think our fantasies, if they get too fucked up, can fuck us up as well.

I'm not so sure that sexual fantasies would fuck me up, they could, I suppose .. maybe they did already without my realizing it!

As to outrageous and perverted niches .. what I am talking about is that at certain times I wouldn't go near them while at other times I find them quite erotic. That's why my facetious reference to the moon!

Different sides to our characters coming out, I suppose.

I think experiencing something we don't normally go looking for gives some balance & refreshes our thirst for that which we like.

A juxtaposition?

I'm heavily not into toys, but on rare occasions I've seen something involving their use that really fired me up, like this scene of Aneta Smrhova getting it from a girl wearing a strap on.

But the more things change, the more they stay the same. I'd say my true and lasting tastes have simply been refined with experience.

And they don't include BBW's

I don't find abuse pleasurable. "Pleasure" and "abuse" are two different words and concepts. When people go on pleasure cruises, you don't hear them being asked, "Oh, you mean an abuse cruise?" I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

It's just a cycle, as time goes by the fantasy builds and builds and builds. Then when unleashing the urges to watch the hard abusive porn, seeing those scenes immediately sends reality rushing back - thus completing the cycle

Then for many others their attitude is "I'm all against abuse & such... BUUUUTTTTTT... as long as the video already exists, well, there's no harm in watching it now"

There's abuse and there's abuse, Drooler. If the New York (or Kent U.K.) BDSM Club goes on a cruise it could very well be pleasure mixed with pain!

There can be a dark fascination in connection with some subjects. We may abhor them but yet are strangely drawn to them at times. (That cyclical thing I'm talking about again) But then, as you wrote, your true self manifests itself, gives you a slap across your temporarily perverted face, and sends you back to your normal gentler self!

But I have never had a fantasy that would even remotely lead me to imitate it in real life as my friend lk2fireone seems to imply.

There was a period in this business when new niches were being defined monthly. Then when those ran out of being reinvented for the web they stated one upping the intensity of them.

Max Hardcore embraced this move and made a ton of money off of it. Of course it helped that Max was really a scumbag to begin with.

Now hes in jail as he was the canary in the coalmine and the Feds came down on him hard.

hey messmer, it happens to me all the time. i don't typically like bondage material, but every once in a while when i'm looking at a bonus site or something i see a scene that just hits the spot at the time.

although hopefully i don't venture into your mature women niche anytime soon, my girlfriend can handle a lot, but that one would definitely freak her out... not that there is anything wrong with mature ladies or anything. Bunny Lebowski: I'll suck your cock for a thousand dollars.
Brandt: Ah hahahahaha! Wonderful woman. We're all, we're all very fond of her. Very free-spirited.

It is quite funny but I've noticed an exact pattern when there's a full moon more members tend to join the site... can't deny that there's moon does affect our behaviour somehow, me personally getting more active during the full moon

Sure. I was just saying "in general." But if I were on a pleasure cruise and heard a whip snap and a yelp in the cabin next door, it wouldn't surprise me. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

Abuse is a difficult term to apply to porn today. Some people consider that any type of BSDM is abuse while some limit this to the more intense BSDM(ie: leave marks).

My idea of abuse is anything that involves slapping in the face, spitting in or near the face, verbal abuse,
chocking where it's almost strangling, intense BJ where the performer is chocking on the penis, pile driving sex and not stopping when a performer is clearly not into what is being done to her. Long live the Brown Coats. Edited on Dec 05, 2010, 09:27am

More likely to do with when folk get paid, rather than phases of the Moon.

Yes, I guess for some long time porn users there's an ever escalating need for stronger and stronger material to get the same kick. I guess that would separate the addict from the user. I'm sure Max Hardcore got himself a lot of addicts for subscribers before they shut him down.

I don't appear to have an addictive personality (unless you classify collecting as an addiction ) because this need for increasingly more outrageous material hasn't manifested itself yet. But who knows, maybe this acceptance of darker material at certain times means it's lurking underneath, being kept in check by my gentler nature until .. and here, once again, we are back to the full moon theory!

I suppose we have to face the fact that any form of collecting is a form of addiction.

At least in our case it is a benign one.

IMO a fantasy is always best left that way.
You maintain more control of it, rather than releasing it into reality, which is chancy at best.

When I talk about mature, slutty, I am not thinking of "grannies" exclusively. In the past I have happily subscribed to All Over 30 whose models were 30, 40 and fifty. Even women in their mid to late twenties are happily looked at .. ask Basileus.

I sometimes think that my pre-occupation with truly older women has two sources: a) they are my age and are often ignored as sexual beings, and definitely don't look as old to me as they would to someone in his thirties, and b) they are a refreshing change (for me) from all those glossy, unmarked by life, Barbies. There you go, Basil, theory confirmed! Our libido is tied to the moon .. or maybe Porn Users are mentally unstable because I hear that the staff of mental institutions get quite active during a full moon as well!

I don't find the BDSM generally found online very exciting or abusive. The role playing in this case is too obvious.

And I completely agree with your latter paragraph .. provided .. that the "performer is clearly not into what is being done to her." I find real abuse of any kind abhorrent, disgusting, criminal, subhuman .. don't have enough words for that sort of behavior. When it comes to play acting ... see full moon! True, as full moon date changes every month. Me personally feel more energetic during the full moon so I guess your theory is true.

Someone I know who worked as an RN at a hospital was dead-set positive in her theory that all the freak accidents and what-not always occurred on the full moon each month. When they'd get all the really weird stuff come into the E.R.

Coincidence?

I really don't think it is a coincidence. The word lunatic was coined because mentally ill people always seemed to need extra attention at full moon time. At least nurses of my acquaintance told me so. Of course, all of us might also have fallen for an old wives' tale and Wikipedia might prove us wrong!

Cap'n.

I always find the best two weeks for sales are the last week and the first. The middle two are almost always much weaker. That definitely correlates better with paydays than moon phases. The main time it doesn't hold up is the last week of November and first week of December, but that just proves that Christmas shopping overpowers the payday effect! Hmmm, missed the connection, suggesting that buying extreme / abusive porn is the cause of the increased hospital visits

Yeah, but this was happening long before extreme Porn became so available so I never thought of that connection.
