MyPorn Update - limited special invite Hey folks, I've been poking my head in from time-to-time and am happy to see Amanda and the Rabbit's crew taking such good care of everything after the transition. Hell, they even got a raffle re-started and I know you've got to be loving that. See, I said I was leaving you in good hands. BTW, we have their permission to make this post so no-one is stepping on any toes. Well, we told you we'd keep you posted on what's happening with MyPorn and that's why I'm here today. There have been more than a few delays and the site has evolved a lot since it was first planned. But, we're excited to let you know we've officially launched MyPorn for alpha testing/preview. It's not open to the public yet. In fact, so far it's just been webmasters and industry insiders who we've let in. However, we're at the point where we want to bring in a handful of end-users and your loyalty over the years has earned you top of the list privileges. Besides, we can't think of any group of folks who are more expert in using porn sites than you. We would love to get some feedback from you porn experts on how you think things look early on. So here's the deal ... I have some invite codes to give away to some of the regulars here. We'll want you to look around the site, test out the bells and whistles, and let us know what you think. To make that possible and by way of saying thank you for your time and effort, we're giving those selected $100 US in free credits to use to check the site out. To get an idea of what the site is now, you might want to drop by MyPorn.com and watch the short introduction video. If that looks like something you'd like to help test out, contact us at admin [at] MyPorn [dot] com with the subject link "PU Special Invite". Be sure to include your PU user name so we know who you are and a good email address that you check regularly. It goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway, you won't be added to any list and the only thing that address will be used for is this special invite. We’re extremely proud of the results of all our hard work and can't wait to share it with you. There is a limit to how many of the early invites (and $100 credits) we can give out so we can't promise that we'll be able to take everyone who applies. Still, we'll let in as many as we can. To those who don't get one of the invites this time, our beta version (group A & B) should be up sometime in April. On the off chance you haven't signed up yet, you may want to do that while you're at MyPorn.com. Before I go it bears repeating ... Kudos to Rabbit for keeping TBP and PU alive and well and for putting in the effort to spruce things up around here. Wow Khan, it looks awesome going off the video, really much more than I thought it was going to be from looking at it a while back. So glad you are making it something really special and bet you guys are excited now to finally launch. I've posted off an email 5 mins ago to hopefully be selected to review the new site. Hey Elephant. Your invite code has been sent so I'll look forward to seeing you inside. Am really glad you liked what you saw in the video. We've been working like crazy and are pleased with how it's turning out so far. And yes, Rabbit's crew is doing a great job. Thanks so much for the invite  , received and currently checking out. Really impressed with its slick interface and navigation and love the ability to follow models in browse mode without having to click on each model.Will other sites be added further down the line? its an impressive list already but just wondered if you'll be trying to add most decent sites out there. What is obvious on plus points and will be awesome about it, is the ability to check a site out before you think of joining or maybe even greater for people who like certain models and not always interested in joining a whole site for a handful of movies from a certain model. I have been out of the loop for a while. I was not even aware that our old friend Khan had moved on. I was just checking to see what the MyPorn invite was about and seeing if it was legit. I just randomly seen it in my email. Half shocked the spam box didnt eat it. Only even noticed it because yahoo gave the first line preview and it mentioned PU. It is with a sad heart I must share news with my TBP Pornuser friends. It appears MyPorn is closing. I just got a email. "It is with a sad heart that we write you today to let you know that, effective immediately, MyPorn.com will be closing its doors. Unfortunately, the first half free business model didn’t perform as well as we had anticipated, and the costs to run the site were growing too quickly for us to fix things before we got to this point. I must say I enjoyed their service and they had a lot of good scenes. Before I mention the ideas I have that might make this type of site work in the future I would like to hear what you guys think? I really hate that for Rick and the staff at MyPorn. I tried it out for several months, and tried to give honest feedback to Khan. One of the things I thought hurt it was it was a little ahead of its time. From all the back and forth with their staff, I took it they were trying to reach a middle ground between the people who use free tube sites and the people who join paysites. The only problem, in 2016-17, is most who are using free tube sites do it either because they don't want to risk joining a paysite (parents, spouse) or they're like mp3 pirates who just refuse to pay for something they can get for free. On the other side, those of us who join paysites still can download a lot more in a month from a paysite than we could from MyPorn. I'm guessing us that pay are stuck on the side of, "If I'm paying for it, I want a lot to show for my money." Then where it was ahead of its time was with the quality. As much as us paying members like our high quality porn (720p or higher), there's a lot of people who believe lower quality is just fine as long as it's free. There's the last group and that's the people who just can't afford a monthly charge for porn. Which I assume is a pretty large amount of people who use the free tube sites. I, too, just left a comment with the one and only review "myporn" will ever receive. I am truly saddened by the demise of this site, not only because I found it a valuable source of high quality porn but also because we, the regulars of this site, know and respect the builders and therefore wanted them to succeed beyond their wildest expectations. Yeah this is sad news as I know those guys put so much into it and the site was amazing, such a great achievement and put lots of porn sites to show with their look and functionality. Weirdly I did visit their forum only last weekend and did notice how little had been added, I remembered it quite busy with the launch and after for a while. The reason I didn't really use it was the movies to be honest I noticed lots of vids from the featured sites were not the ones I would of wanted to buy and were not all their best and I'd look at all these vids being added not see the ones from a company I wanted that I'd seen on the site so my visits to myporn became less frequent I'm sad to say. I do feel for the guys though cause I know the studios only allowed them certain vids as to trial the system out.
