We are losing one of the PornUsers Veterans :( It is with a sad heart that I am posting this thread.... Some of you Porn Users will know "Khan", he was the original moderator here at the PU forum, so I wanted to give everyone an update on his condition. We are sad to report he's in acute hospice care with no life support. We have set up a GoFundMe online memorial for our good friend Khan. It is our hope that this will give everyone a chance to send their respective goodbyes as we are hopeful Khan will have a chance to read these comments in his final few days: https://www.gofundme.com/robrose Khan has been working in the adult biz for about 20 years now. He is one of the true original old school guys in the biz but he always kept up with current trends, spoke his mind, stayed true to himself and is a true professional. Khan was completely passionate about the PU community and he loved being an integral part of it. The success of this forum and the PU community in general is due to his love and efforts. We'll miss you Khan. <3 https://www.pornusers.com/profile.html?id=13 Vegas Ken

My heart goes out to Khan and his family, I hope they find some peace in all this and know that he was loved and respected by everyone that crossed his path. He has always presented a calm demeanor and set the culture that made this forum the civil and respectful place it is. I hope this forum continues for decades more and maintains that welcoming and courteous spirit Khan imbued it with. He will be missed by all the members here! This is truly shocking news and my heart also goes out to Khan, his family, friends and co-workers. We didn't interact on a daily basis but we did it often enough for me to say that if I was to think of one word to describe Khan or now Robert than that word would be decent. I know many people look at porn negatively and by default they probably look negatively at the people who make their living from the porn industry but those people will never get to know a man like Robert and to me that is sad because he truly was a nice man. May he find the peace that we all deserve. Love Pat. Long live the Brown Coats.

I have been away for too long. I am terribly shocked and saddened to hear about Khan's illness. He is a true gentleman, moderate and even handed and did a lot to keep this forum one of the most pleasant places to be on the Internet! My heart goes out to him and his family and, for once, it is not just words when I say he will be sorely missed by me! Messmer

I am so sad to hear this news as I too loved the way he was always calm and dealt with any issues in a professional manor and had a great way with words and he was a major reason this forum getting to be a great place to hang out and chat about porn from the beginning, such a shock to hear of this and my heart goes out to his family and friends. I posted this on a different thread. But this thread seems to be the more popular thread on Khan's condition. So I'm re-posting it here, because Khan and his GoFundMe memorial are worth our attention: https://www.gofundme.com/robrose I made a small donation. Made it anonymous because I don't need my real name posted on the Internet. But I sent a message to Rick Moby stating: I just had a casual contact with Khan through PU over the years. He was a professional, and helped maintain the site in a neutral, friendly way. He never mentioned anything about his personal issues, which is why this recent news is so surprising. He was a major force at the PU site, and made many friends.

I had some interaction via emails over the last 10 years here and he was always up beat positive and encouraging. I was gone for a short time did this twice I was said upon my last return that Khan was no longer here, while the rest of the staff here is great. Its a different feel without him. The positive note on this is his work and commitment kept this community alive. I have zero doubt there would be no PU or community without the work he did here. He took what some look at as taboo and made it a friendly dare I say normal place to be and share a hobby we all do. I and grateful for his part here and the times I got to interact with him were great. I will pray for peace for him and his family he always seemed like a good decent person with a spot of perv on the side. Heres a couple for you Khan thank you ! Since 2007

Shocked and saddened are the common words in the above threads, and they describe exactly how I feel. He was someone I never knew or even met, but think I would have liked him. I may have a wrong impression, but from his posts and online style, he came over as a quiet, genuine and private man, with a lot of integrity, determination, and application. In the few communications I had with him he was an absolute gent. I feel like the above members, that he is one of those people who will be missed by friends, but also made enough impression to be missed by people who didn't even know him. A very sad thread. Khan - (to borrow a very apropos line from Dave Allen) may your God go with you.

It's such a shame. We've been so fortunate to have such a fair-minded, level-headed "father figure" here at PU, stern at times, but always only when necessary and never given to excess in that regard. He will never be forgotten. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

I am very sad to hear this news. Khan helped PU become a truly unique community. Having a place where porn users and porn producers come together on level ground is not something that happens naturally. It happens thanks to respect on the part of porn users, care for their customers on the part of producers, and vision by moderators such as Khan to make this place what it is. Thank you for your tolerance and your kindness. Better to be pissed on, than to be pissed off.

This is really a shock. I'm sorry to hear this sad news. Khan was a great resource to all of us here at PU. I'll be sure to make a donation on the link provided.

I really hate hearing this. Khan set a standard here at PU. I did everything I could as a productive member to live up to that standard. I used to wonder when he was going to tell me to shut-up or tell me to go away (back in my earlier years as a member), but he never did. I think he knew I would eventually shut myself up. There's not any words I can say to make any of this any better, but I can say thank you for showing us all what a relaxed, laid-back personality can accomplish when compared to the overly-argumentative one most of us in North America see way too often. The world needs more soft-spoken, lead by actions not words men like Khan. My first time I jacked off, I thought I'd invented it. I looked down at my sloppy handful of junk and thought, This is going to make me rich. - Chuck Palahniuk

It was a couple of weeks ago I saw a post from Khan. I was happy that he was going to continue to participate here. I emphasize participate. He not only administered this forum, but also was an active member. Both roles shaped this site as a welcome and friendly place to banter porn and humor. Warning Will Robinson

Khan is probably the person most responsible for forging the identity of PU that persists to this day. It's one of the few civilized user oriented porn sites on the web and that is in large part to his vigilance and guidance, especially in the early years. A tip of the hat to Khan for all his work and my condolences to his family.
