Octopuss Solo available Gratis! Amazon sent 2 in error. They told me to keep the second. No wonder their prices are getting higher! Anyway, one of you will be the lucky recipient of the extra one that I have. It is unused and still in the original unopened box. PU will be handling the offer and hopefully Amanda will chime in with details. The only caveat is that I ask the recipient to pay the shipping charges (postage only) - paypal is best but I will accept any method of payment. Having said that, I'm not crazy about the product and don't use it. Not my cup of snot. https://www.hotoctopuss.com/?v=7516fd43adaa

All those interested, just pipe up here and your names will go in a hat! I'll announce the winner. I am thinking this be open to all those who have points and who have been active in the last few months on PU? Is that fair?

Certain products they will not accept returns on even if unopened. This might be one of them. I am guessing the value is above the shipping price so if a "normal" item they would have wanted it back. Although, they did want back a rather expensive toy once when a second was shipped because the tracking got all messed up on the first one and it was delayed. I did not even realize it until I happened to look at my returns page and seen that it was pending. I had assumed because of the item type they could not take a return. Dont worry, amazon is coming out way ahead even with letting people keep occasional items. You buy two items from the same person on ebay and with will typically combine the shipping to give a better rate. Amazon builds their shipping price into each item as if it were to be the only item in the box. Every time they put more than one item in they pocket the shipping cost of the additional items. This is why I usually avoided free shipping on items on ebay unless I only needed one or their price was better than others after combined shipping discounts. Amazon takes back anything. I once returned a pair of worn running shoes. After 2 weeks I realized they didn't fit right; I mistakenly ordered the wrong size. Amazon took them back no questions. I didn't expect it and had only called to see if anything could be done. I am a prime member and do not pay shipping costs for items I purchase. My cost to ship back the Octo first class would have been under $3 per the USPS website. Hence, my bewilderment that Amazon did not want an item that retails for $99 returned. However, I don't want to discuss returning products. My intent was to give something back to PU, a community that has greatly benefited me. I'm a little put-off that the offer went totally unappreciated, though I can accept that no one is interested in the item. I listed it on eBay yesterday for $60 plus shipping. In a few hours, someone offered me $55. I said thanks, but no thanks. This is a fixed price auction with no best offer option. You cannot find this item for under $99 anywhere.

I believe the offer of the free Octopuss Solo was appreciated, even if no PU member requested the item. We're a friendly community, but the truth is, not a lot of members say "Thank you" a lot. The thanks are implied--if that makes sense. Along with the attitude of trying to offer helpful advice or reviews or comments. So--glad that you will make some extra money off Amazon's mistake. PS: What is your avatar? All I can see is a tiny figure, that I can't make out what it is. It's a picture of what? Edited on Sep 14, 2016, 12:58pm

I guess I'm sensitive, haha. Not a problem. The photo was taken of a dog lying in the shade on an incredibly hot and humid day in Santo Domingo. I thought he was dead when I first spotted him. I felt like him that day... people would literally push one another to be able to walk in the shade.

Edit, double post. Hey Amanda or whomever, can the posting problem be fixed? The vast majority of times I post anything either on the forum or in the review section I get an error message and usually lose the post. It seems lots of people have experienced the same.
