They're further along futuristic innovations than we think, alfie .... and 3D might hav'ta do some catch-up just to keep up. My money is on Virtual transfer, wherein feel, touch, smell, as well as other important sensory wonders packaged and geared to heighten ultimate sexual stimuli (via perhaps some sort of electrolytic energy ) to those who'll shell-out the mullah required to join the lift-off. Gimmicky, just like 3D TV. But that is just my two cents. Part of the reason 3d TV isn't really going anywhere is because of the hideous glasses you have to wear. Not only do you look silly, it also is uncomfortable and a nuisance to have to wear the heavy goggles to watch TV. I also think 3D movies are not really that great. A friend of mine has a 3D and it really isn't as good as advertised. But again, that is subjective. To me, it certainly isn't worth the inconvinience of wearing glasses and all that. We would also look a bit odd choking the chicken to a 3D Porn movie while wearing the goggles:  | |

I bought a pair of red/cyan glasses at a local dollar store a bunch of months ago, not really thinking about why I wanted 'em - I guess I was thinking I'd have 'em in case I stumbled onto something 3D. Turns out it was a pretty good purchase. They aren't heavy like those goggles but not flimsy like the cardboard versions. Yeah, it's a little gimmicky. The color rendering with cyan/red 3D is pretty weak, but the effect is interesting enough to make me think that whole big dollar was well-spent. Glasses free 3D (that isn't head mounted) will not be here for at least another 5 years, and when it does, I hope you don't want to move anywhere in the room while you're watching it. The technology technically exists, but not in any way that's actually ready to sell to consumers. | |

I got a 3D tv some time ago, but never really used the 3D until last night when I was bored and messing around. Found a sample video on one of the pay sites and tried it out, it isn't terrible, some of it seemed like it was 2d-3d conversion such that the action seemed more front-and-center, while some of it was clearly shot with a stereo camera. Its a little gimicky, doubt I would join a site like this anytime soon - especially since the two I found are both pretty small and seem to focused on large breasts. From the preview I downloaded I am not sure how many closeups there would be (they didn't really show any), I would hope they would have better sense then that. It was mostly just sort of gimicky crap like the girls foot sticking out of the screen when she is laying down or her reaching out towards you. It was sort of cool at times, but I doubt worth joining a site for, plus I have to put the movie on a jump drive to play it on my TV (the USB port on my TV must not have enough power for external drives or something), and for some reason playing it through HDMI off my laptop doesn't work even though I have a "3D compatible HD" graphics card. I think that 3D TV is an idea whose time has come and gone. Disney recently announced the discontinuation of its ESPN 3D channel by the end of 2013. | |

I sort of doubt it lk2, I thought so at first, but movies continue to be released in 3D, thus 3D TVs will continue to exist.
