https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2HFSaxIsJCE YouTube needs more discipline. I've seen a YouTube video where two stoats were thrown together without any adult supervision, and the stoats (a male and a female) were fighting and playing and exploring each other's bodies, all without any adult supervision. Thankfully, both stoats were probably virgins, so no hardcore sex was on display. But with a boy and a girl stoat, you never know what will happen, if the parents aren't around to handle things.

The winner of the Palme d'Or this year sounds like a film the PU site should be promoting. Here's the plot: a serial killer impregnated by a car who disguises her gender and goes incognito as a lonely fireman’s long-lost son. I'm not sure how much time or visuals are spent on the woman gettig impregnated by a car, but the premise sounds intriguing. Is it the wires or the pistons that do the impregnating? How many orgasms does she have, and is this a love-hate relationship, between her and the car? And why does she turn into a son and a serial killer? Is it because society will not accept her for her true sexuality? Enquiring minds want to know: is she an anti-hero, or the next candidate to replace Jame Bond as the killer from MI6? ------ ------ Variety Jul 17, 2021 10:41am PT Wild ‘Titane’ Wins Palme d’Or in Upside-Down Cannes Film Festival Awards 'Titane' Tops the 2021 Cannes Film Carole Bethuel - Diaphana Distribution Spike Lee jumped the gun, announcing Palme d’Or winner “Titane” before the other prizes at the Cannes Film Festival awards. The unplanned goof could have robbed the awards of their usual suspense, but instead, created a thrillingly unpredictable energy as presenters and attendees alike tried to imagine how to get the train back on track and what the jury president might do next … while holding their breath for the festival’s second-ever female Palme d’Or winner to accept her prize. With “Titane,” French director Julia Ducournau (“Raw”) delivers a radical horror vision — a portrait of a serial killer impregnated by a car who disguises her gender and goes incognito as a lonely fireman’s long-lost son — sure to make waves as it rolls out in the wider world. Turns out, the run-of-show slip was the first of many surprises, which included two ties. When it came time for Ducournau to accept her prize, she described watching the Cannes awards each year as a child. ”At that time, I was sure that all the films awarded must have been perfect because they were on the stage. And tonight, I’m on that same stage, but I know my film is not perfect — but I think no film is perfect in the eyes of the person who made it. You could even say mine is monstrous.”

We have to pity the wealthy. They might have to pay more in taxes in the coming years. Because their income keeps growing, far beyond the income of the average working person. A study based on last year's pay shows the average S&P executive made $15.5 million, 299 times the pay of the median worker. Which means, the average worker has to work 299 years to make what these presidents make in a single year. Of course, a president of a big business has to work hard to keep his workers healthy and happy and satisfied with their job. So presidents earn their perks. ----- ----- U.S. CEO-to-worker pay ratio rose to 299-1 last year Reuters Ross Kerber July 14, 2021, 7:43 PM By Ross Kerber (Reuters) - The average S&P 500 [.SPX] chief executive made $15.5 million last year, 299 times the pay of the median worker and a higher ratio than in 2019, the top American labor union said on Wednesday, as the COVID-19 pandemic drove layoffs while executive compensation grew. The ratio was 264-to-1 in 2019. “Working people bore the brunt of COVID-19 and its impact on the U.S. economy," said Liz Shuler, Secretary-Treasurer of the AFL-CIO, the largest U.S. labor federation. Its annual report is frequently cited as a measure of workforce inequality. While many companies reduced salary and bonus payments to executives as they eliminated jobs during the pandemic, those cuts were more than offset by gains in equity compensation, Shuler said on a conference call with journalists accompanying the report's release. The result was an increase of $712,720 in the average S&P 500 CEO's compensation, which stood at $15.5 million last year, the union said. That was 299 times the average of what they reported in securities filings as the pay of their median worker. Among all U.S. workers, the average production and nonsupervisory worker earned $43,512 in 2020 according to the U.S. Labor Department, a union spokeswoman said. The union cited the figures to argue for the passage of a bill backed by Congressional Democrats known as the PRO Act to make worker organizing easier. Pay ratios between CEOs and workers were lower in more heavily unionized industries, the AFL-CIO said. Among utilities the average pay ratio was 97-to-1, but stood at 741-to-1 among consumer discretionary companies, for example. (Reporting by Ross Kerber in Boston; Editing by Marguerita Choy)

I haven't been a member of Hegre for many years. So I can't comment on their customer support. Except one PU member stated he had a lifetime membership with Hegre, that Hegre no longer honors. And Hegre customer service gave him no satisfaction with his complaints. I've been a member of MetArt for many years. I thought they had the finest customer support team of any paysite I ever joined. Then I joined Adult Time, which has a live chat option for customer support, in addition to email and telephone, all of which are 24/7. The live chat answers within a few minutes, is friendly and helpful. I think Adult Time's support is even faster to respond to questions and complaints than MetArt (via live chat). I often complain about the Adult Time navigation issues, but their customer support is even better than MetArt's, in my opinion.

Our nation under attack. Freedom of speech is supported by the US Constitution. That covers making lies, if done for a political purpose. But Rudi Giuliani, one of the bravest, most honest people in America, is being punished for standing behind Donald Trump, our most glorious President we've ever had. Shame on the US judicial system. May judges everywhere in these United States hang their heads in shame. ================= New York court suspends Rudy Giuliani's law license AOL Associated Press June 24, 2021, 12:20 PM NEW YORK (AP) — An appeals court suspended Rudy Giuliani from practicing law in New York because he made false statements while trying to get courts to overturn Donald Trump’s loss in the presidential race. An attorney disciplinary committee said in its motion to suspend Giuliani’s license that there was “uncontroverted evidence” that Giuliani had made false statements to the courts, the public and lawmakers as he pushed theories that the election was stolen through fraud. “This country is being torn apart by continued attacks on the legitimacy of the 2020 election and of our current president, Joseph R. Biden,” the committee wrote. “The hallmark of our democracy is predicated on free and fair elections. False statements intended to foment a loss of confidence in our elections and resulting loss of confidence in government generally damage the proper functioning of a free society.” The ruling, signed Thursday, will prevent Giuliani from representing clients as a lawyer. In the decision, the committee wrote that Giuliani “communicated demonstrably false and misleading statements to courts, lawmakers and the public at large” as a lawyer for Trump. Giuliani had claimed that the investigation into his conduct violated his First Amendment right of free speech and that he did not knowingly make false statements, according to the decision. The court rejected those arguments, noting that in Pennsylvania, Giuliani failed to “provide a scintilla of evidence for any of the varying and wildly inconsistent numbers of dead people he factually represented voted in Philadelphia during the 2020 presidential election.” A message seeking comment about the ruling was sent Thursday to Giuliani and his lawyer. Giuliani was the primary mouthpiece for Trump’s lies after the 2020 election, standing at a press conference in front of Four Seasons Total Landscaping outside Philadelphia on the day the race was called for Biden and saying they would challenge what he claimed was a vast conspiracy by Democrats. The lies around the 2020 election helped push an angry mob of pro-Trump rioters to storm the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 in a shocking effort to stop the certification of President Biden’s victory. And since that time, Republicans have used that lie to push stricter voting laws nationwide.

Donald Trump, our dearest, most honestest President of the United States of Trumperland, can now point out absolute proof that there was fraud in the November election. A Republican official voted twice in that election. He voted once for himself. And voted a second time in his father's name. His father had died, and the Republican offical forged his father's name to an absentee ballot. Perhaps, the Republican official can testify that he was following his father's wishes. Will that get him off the hook, of fraudulent voting? Will a dead father's vote be counted for Donald Trump, and thus enable Trump to regain the White House? Enquiring minds want to know: Will Joe Biden, a low-down-dirty-Democrat, be dragged out of the White House and put in prison, where he belongs, so Donald Trump can return and make America Great Again? -------- -------- Republican official in Ohio faces charge for voting twice in November election NBC Universal Corky Siemaszko June 22, 2021, 5:23 PM Scroll back up to restore default view. Republican lawmakers in Ohio pushing for more “safety and security” at the ballot box can now point to a clear example of voter fraud in the November 2020 presidential election. Unfortunately for them, it involves another Republican. Edward Snodgrass, who is a Porter Township trustee, has admitted to forging his dead father’s signature on an absentee ballot and then voting again as himself, court records and other sources revealed. Snodgrass was busted after a Delaware County election worker questioned the signature on his father’s ballot. A subsequent investigation revealed the ballot had been mailed to H. Edward Snodgrass on Oct. 6 — a day after the 78-year-old retired businessman died. In an interview with NBC News, Snodgrass said he made “an honest error” while struggling to take care of his dying father, who had advanced Parkinson’s disease. He said he had power of attorney for several years and because his dad had broken his right arm he’d already been “signing for him.” He said his dad had requested the absentee ballot. “It was there with a pile of other paperwork,” Snodgrass said. “I was sleep-deprived and not thinking clearly. But I’m not going to run away from it.” Snodgrass, 57, declined to say who he voted for but said it would not be accurate to characterize what he did as “just Trump voter fraud.” “I was simply trying to execute a dying man’s wishes,” he said. The veteran Ohio prosecutor assigned to the Snodgrass case said this was a career first for him. “I’ve been doing this since the 1980s, and this is the first one I’ve seen like this,” said Morrow County Assistant Prosecutor David Homer, who is also a special prosecutor for Delaware County. Snodgrass is due back in court July 9 where, according to a plea agreement, he is expected to plead guilty to a reduced charge of falsification and receive a sentence of three days in jail and a $500 fine. Initially charged with illegal voting, which is a fourth-degree felony, Snodgrass could have faced a prison sentence of six or more months along with a $5,000 fine had he not agreed to a deal. “It ain’t over till the guy pleads guilty and that’s July the 9th,” Homer said. Snodgrass, who owns a business in Delaware County, is paid a little less than $9,000 annually to serve as a trustee in Porter Township, which is about 30 miles north of Columbus, records show. His father's absentee ballot arrived at the local board of elections on Oct. 15, and he cast his own ballot eight days later, according to the records. Donald Trump, who has refused to concede that he lost the presidential election to Joe Biden and continues to push the lie that there was widespread voter fraud even though there is zero evidence to back that claim up, actually won the state of Ohio in November. But GOP lawmakers there — as they have in other states — have been pushing “safety and security” bills that Democrats say are aimed at making it harder for their constituents to vote. In the aftermath of the presidential election, Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose released an audit that he said showed a 99.98 percent accuracy rate. NBC News reached out to his spokesman to find out how many allegations of voter fraud have been reported to his office. So far there has been no reply. Christopher Devine, an assistant professor of political science at the University of Dayton, said it's not likely there are many. “In fact, what is typical about this crime is that it is so at odds with the typical claims of voter fraud that we hear from Donald Trump and other (usually Republican) politicians,” he said in an email. “The fact is, very few people commit voter fraud and when they do it usually looks like this: one person casting an additional vote through a strange series of circumstances that gave him an opportunity he shouldn’t have taken. And he got caught.”

Ned Beatty, Actor Known for ‘Deliverance’ and ‘Network,’ Dies at 83 Variety Carmel Dagan June 13, 2021, 3:49 PM Film and TV actor Ned Beatty, who was Oscar nominated for his supporting role in “Network” and appeared in a number of the most significant American films of the 1970s, has died. He was 83. Beatty’s management confirmed his death to Variety, adding that he died from natural causes on Sunday morning surrounded by his loved ones at his home in Los Angeles. Beatty appeared in four films that were nominated for the Oscar best picture award in the 1970s: “Deliverance” (1972), “Nashville” (1975), “All the President’s Men” (1976) and “Network” (1976). In addition, he voiced a character, Lotso, in 2010’s “Toy Story 3,” which was also nominated. The actor was equally at home in the drama of “All the President’s Men,” in which he played a reporter who uncovers part of the conspiracy, and the buffoonery of his role in 1977’s “Superman,” in which he played Lex Luthor’s sidekick Otis. Beatty was lucky enough to come to the attention of both the public and the critics with his first film role, as the genial vacationing hunter Bobby who is the victim of a sadistic sexual assault in John Boorman’s landmark 1972 drama “Deliverance.” Beatty gave many excellent supporting performances as unsympathetic characters. In Robert Altman’s “Nashville,” for example, Beatty portrayed a politically connected lawyer who is impatient with his deaf children, making no effort to communicate with them. In “Network,” Beatty had a small but memorable role as the head of the conglomerate that owns the network, described by the New York Times as “a folksy messiah, beautifully played by Ned Beatty, [who] is the mouthpiece for some of [Paddy] Chayefsky’s bluntest thoughts about the current state of the wealth of nations.” He utters the famous line “It’s because you’re on television, dummy.” By the mid-1970s, Beatty was also a steady presence in TV through guest shots in “Gunsmoke,” “The Rockford Files,” “Hawaii 5-0,” “Hunter,” “Delvecchio,” and in TV movies such as 1980’s “Guyana Tragedy: The Story of Jim Jones” in which Beatty played Rep. Leo Ryan, the San Francisco congressional rep who was gunned down in 1978. One highlight of Beatty’s film work in the 1980s was the New Orleans-set Dennis Quaid vehicle “The Big Easy,” in which Beatty played, in the words of Roger Ebert, “the police chief who sincerely wants to do the right thing and sincerely cannot” in what amounted to “his finest performance in years.” Another ’80s highlight was “Hear My Song,” in which Beatty played the central character, an Irish tenor on the lam from the tax man and actually absent for most of the movie. Rolling Stone’s Peter Travers declared that “his finely shaded, deeply romantic performance as Locke is a unique and unexpected pleasure.” The actor also turned in a great deal of excellent work on television, drawing an Emmy nomination in 1979 for the topical telepic “Friendly Fire,” in which Beatty and Carol Burnett starred as a couple who, while mourning the death of their son, uncover the ugly realities of the war in Vietnam. He was also nominated in 1989 for his work in the family film “Last Train Home.” AdChoices Most memorable of his TV efforts, however, was his performance as the acerbic Detective Stanley Bolander on the excellent ensemble police drama “Homicide: Life on the Street” in the early 1990s. Earlier, in 1975, he turned in a powerful guest performance on “MASH” as Col. Hollister, the puritanical Army chief of chaplains who arrives at the 4077th to evaluate Father Mulcahy. Beatty made two attempts at starring in a series of his own, with the brief 1977 sitcom “Szysznyk” and 1993’s even briefer “The Boys,” in which he played the father of Christopher Meloni’s character. He recurred on “Roseanne” in the early ’90s as the huckster father of John Goodman’s character. He was also a regular panelist on “The New Hollywood Squares” from 1987 to 1988. More recently, Beatty played a senile judge who had become the puppet of his law clerk in a 2006 episode of “Law and Order,” and on a 2007 episode of “CSI” he played a memorably serene but creepy dentist who is unmasked as a serial killer. Ned Thomas Beatty was born in Louisville, Ky. At age 10, he began singing with professional gospel quartets. He spent the early years of his acting career at the Barter Theater in Abingdon, Va., followed by the Erie (Penn.) Playhouse, Houston’s Playhouse Theater and Washington, D.C.’s Arena Stage Company. He appeared on Broadway in the original 1968 production of “The Great White Hope” that starred James Earl Jones and Jane Alexander, and returned to the Main Stem in 2003 to star as Big Daddy in a revival of “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof” that also starred Ashley Judd and Jason Patric. Of Beatty’s performance as Big Daddy, the New York Times declared, “From the moment Mr. Beatty first shows up in the play’s second act, he brings with him the invigorating breeze of passionate, scrupulously detailed acting. As long as he is allowed to dominate the stage, Anthony Page’s production exhales the galvanizing honesty that is the elusive holy grail for Big Daddy.” At the Music Center in Los Angeles he starred in a revival of the musical “Showboat” in 1996. Though he did not sing for himself in the film “Hear My Song,” he released an album of Christian music, “In the Beginning Was the Word,” in 2006. Beatty was married four times, the first time to Walta Abbott, the second to actress Belinda Beatty, and the third to Dorothy “Tinker” Lindsey. He is survived by fourth wife Sandra Johnson; four children from his marriage to Abbott; two children from his marriage to Beatty; and two children from his marriage to Lindsey.

@Wraith0711, Are you talking about the Foxy D that is called Nensi B at MetArt, and is called a bunch of other names at different sites? Nensi B has a lot of content at different sites. Very attractive model, but I think she's probably retired now. But if you can transfer your collection focus to Nensi B, you should have plenty of content available. I've even collected some of Nensi B's content myself. LOL.

Just saw an interesting movie on Netflix: The The Devil All the Time (2020). The preacher, Robert Pattinson, who rose to fame as the one of the vampires in the Twilight series, tells a young girl that to open yourself to the Lord, to show yourself as the Lord made you, that takes true courage. A strange way to seduce a young girl. But if you have the holy power, it can be an effective ploy to get into the girl's pussy. Doing the Lord's work, and spreading joy. Hallelujah.

Evidence in Mexico serial killer's house suggests 17 victims AOL Associated Press June 12, 2021, 7:16 PM MEXICO CITY (AP) — Investigators digging under the house of a suspected serial killer on the outskirts of Mexico City said Saturday they have found 3,787 bone fragments so far, apparently belonging to 17 different victims. Prosecutors in the State of Mexico, which borders Mexico City, suggested the grisly finds may not end there. In excavations carried out since May 17, authorities have dug up the floors of the house where the suspect lived. They now plan to extend the search to the soil beneath several other rooms he rented out on the same property. ID cards and other possessions from people who disappeared years ago were found at the junk-filled home, suggesting the trail of killings may go back years. The number of bone fragments found underneath concrete floors at the suspect's home would imply the corpses may have been hacked into tiny pieces. That could make sense: the suspect, identified by prosecutors only as “Andrés,” was formerly a butcher and in fact sectioned and filleted his last victim. “The bones fragments are being subjected to ‘lateralization’ studies, which include carefully cleaning each one, identifying what part of the body they are and then placing them in their anatomical position, providing a method for determining the approximate number of victims,” the office said in a statement. “This analysis indicates that, up to now, the bone fragments found may possibly be those of 17 people,” the statement said. Authorities have not released the full name of the 72-year-old suspect under Mexican laws protecting a suspect’s identity. He has been ordered to stand trial in the killing of his last victim, a 34-year-old woman whose body he allegedly dismembered with a butcher’s hacksaw and knives on May 14. He was caught, not as a result of keen investigative work, but because his most recent alleged victim was the wife of a police commander whom he knew personally. He was to have accompanied the victim on a shopping trip the day she disappeared, so her husband suspected him when she failed to return. The police officer gained access to police surveillance cameras showing his wife had entered, but not left, the street where the suspect lived; the policeman went to the home, confronted the suspect, and found his wife's hacked-up body inside. But what investigators also found was women’s clothing, voter IDs and audio and video tapes suggesting he may have recorded his victims. The format of the video tapes found at the house may suggest how far the killings went back: authorities found 28 8mm video tapes, which were discontinued around 2007, and 25 VHS cassettes, which largely fell out of favor by 2016. However, outdated tech formats often remain in use in Mexico after they have been abandoned in other countries. In total, prosecutors said they have found 91 photographs, many of the type people would have used to obtain ID cards; eight cellphones, and women's jewelry and makeup. Prosecutors said they are still examining the bone fragments to see if they can extract any DNA to identify the victims.

@Wraith0711 You posted some replies at the indexxx.com site for the model named sinovia. https://www.indexxx.com/m/sinovia Apparently, she has appeared at many different porn sites. But you are looking for boy/girl content of her. I never followed this model. If she is the one who is listed at this indexxx page. But if you joined clubseventeen, my advice, for what it's worth, is to look at the site, to find what interests you. That site does have a lot of good content. And you might as well enjoy it, since you paid for it. Also, the model apparently has a lot of content at All Fine Girls. And I believe you are a member of that site. So try to find content at that site that interests you. Because I think the Wow network has a lot of really fine content. My advice is to enjoy what you have access to. And if you do get to see the content with this girl that you are looking for, that would be great. But don't consider the memberships that you paid for worthless. Because the Wow network, and even the Club Seventeen site, has a lot of really nice content. Note: I haven't checked the model's content at the sites I mentioned. Sometimes content is deleted and no longer available. But the indexxx site lists her names at those sites.

Some rich never have enough. And some scammers have a heart of gold. Bella only made money to help people. She was trying to make porn legitimate, and to remove the stigma of sex. What a girl. She has balls of brass. She has risked her career to stand up for her fans, and will make it right that she scammed them. Maybe by posting new PG13 photos, since she wrote that posting nude photos was only a tease and not something she would really do.

@riccha64, https://besthdsexsites.com/ Seems like an interesting site for ideas on porn. But some of their ideas seem to be questionable. Listed under "Best Free HD Porn Sites" is UltraFilms. That is a regular porn pay site. I am a member, it's not free. It's associated with the Wow network. You join Ultra Films, for cash, and also get access to the Wow network. Under "Great 4K Porn Sites", you have some sites that are good, but to label them great is opinion-only. New Sensations is a nice network, but I wouldn't call it great. Porn Fidelity and Teen Fidelity are better sites, but calling them great is personal opinion. "Top 4K Sex Networks" lists Devil's Film Teen Mega World Devil's Film is part of Adult Time. I've been a member of Teen Mega World many times, had several year-long memberships. It's one of my favorite teen hardcore networks. But this site, although interesting and nicely designed, seems like more like a fanzine than a source of porn ideas. The PU and TBP sites are better sources of porn ideas. Just IMHO thoughts. The CEO of a pipeline defends his decision to pay $4.4 million to hackers. The FBI says never pay hackers: it only encourages the hackers. But the FBI is not the ones who will pay if your company's computers are hacked, and your business turns to shit. The FBI takes the high ground, when it comes to moral responsibilty. They carry badges and wear jackets with "FBI"printed on the back, which I've seen in lots of movies. Also, they often have a FBI baseball cap and a ballistic vest. It's illegal to wear a ballistic vest if you are a criminal, or to have a FBI baseball cap. -------- -------- Colonial Pipeline CEO explains his decision to pay $4.4M ransom to hackers Yahoo News Jenna McLaughlin June 8, 2021, 9:59 AM WASHINGTON The CEO of Colonial Pipeline, during his first appearance before lawmakers, took full responsibility for the decision to pay a multimillion-dollar ransom to criminal hackers that penetrated the companys networks in May. I made the decision to pay, Joseph Blount Jr. told members of the Senate Homeland Security Committee during a hearing on Tuesday morning. I put the interests of our country first. Blount, who became president and CEO of the major U.S. pipeline in 2017, explained to the committee why he chose to make a payment of $4.4 million for a decryption tool to try and bring the companys networks back online as quickly as possible, knowing that the pipeline is a critical asset that millions of Americans rely on daily, he said. On the morning of May 7, he said, the company quickly responded to the attack by calling the Atlanta field office of the FBI within hours. The FBI scheduled a call just before noon on the East Coast to bring in investigators in California from the bureaus center of excellence on the DarkSide ransomware group a ransomware-as-a-service business that sells access to its malicious tool in exchange for a cut of the profits from successful digital extortion campaigns. Colonial Pipeline CEO Joseph Blount testifies during a Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee hearing one day after the Justice Department revealed it had recovered the majority of the $4.4 million ransom payment the company made in hopes of getting its system back online, Tuesday, June 8, 2021, on Capitol Hill, in Washington. (Graeme Jennings/Pool via AP) At the time, however, Colonial did not know just how much information the attackers had stolen or how far into the networks they had penetrated, Blount said. The company preemptively shut down its IT systems to prevent further compromise. The FBI on the morning of the attack was focused on gathering information about what happened, Blount said. The FBIs official guidance is not to pay ransoms because it encourages future cybercrime. Blount said he was aware of that guidance but did not discuss it with the FBI that day, concluding after discussions with lawyers and outside experts that it was our understanding that the decision was solely ours as a private company to make the decision about whether to pay or not, he said. The lawyers fact-checked whether ransomware group DarkSide was a sanctioned entity to make sure a payment wouldnt be in violation of federal law, Blount said. While Blount also hired private cybersecurity company Mandiant to help investigate the breach and restore access to the companys backups, there was no guarantee it would be successful, and he wanted access to every option available to get the systems back up and running. He understood the importance of restoring the flow of more than 100 million gallons of fuel the company distributes every day to 45 percent of the East Coast, from gas stations to first responders and airlines, he said. Watching panic rise across the country as people filled plastic bags with gasoline and as fist fights broke out at fueling stations, Blount said he wanted to act as quickly as possible. We already started to see pandemonium going on at the markets, he said. Blount ultimately tasked third-party negotiators with paying the ransom on the morning after the attack on May 8, he disclosed. The encryption tool worked to some degree, he said, but it was not a perfect tool, making Mandiants restoration of the companys backups even more important. While the company began restoring the pipeline within six days of the attack, the FBI is still investigating what happened, and the company is still gradually bringing its systems online. This week, it brought back seven financial systems we havent had since the morning of May 7, Blount said. On Monday afternoon, the Department of Justice announced that the FBI was able to recover the majority $2.3 million of the ransomware payment by tracing the funds back to the criminals cryptocurrency wallet. While its unclear how the FBI got access to the wallet, court documents outlining the seizure note that the FBI had access to the owners private keys. As ransomware becomes a bigger problem for companies from small businesses to critical infrastructure firms, both the private sector and the federal government will need to continue to find ways to defend against and respond to the attacks, including tackling the problem of ransomware payments. Blount told senators that his company, like many in the pipeline sector, has a broader emergency response plan, but that did not previously include a discussion about ransom, he said. Going forward, its likely both private companies and the government will need to factor in the crime of ransomware while doing defensive planning and conducting tabletop exercises simulating potential attacks. Increased regulation or reporting requirements for companies has been one suggested avenue, though Sen. James Lankford, R-Okla., noted during the hearing that he was not confident the U.S. government would be agile enough to develop those standards and continually maintain them. Regardless, Blount said he hopes other companies learn from Colonials experience and that the U.S. government and private sector develop ways to improve defenses. The most important lesson learned is to respond immediately, Blount said, adding that Colonial learned the value of communication. I think that what we learned was that being transparent ... was probably one of the most important things that we did.

Rich pay next to no income tax. AOL Associated Press PAUL WISEMAN June 8, 2021, 11:18 AM WASHINGTON (AP) The rich really are different from you and me: Theyre better at dodging the tax man. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos paid no income tax in 2007 and 2011. Tesla founder Elon Musks income tax bill came to zero in 2018. And financier George Soros went three straight years without paying federal income tax, according to a report out Tuesday from the nonprofit investigative journalism organization ProPublica. Overall, the richest 25 Americans pay less in tax 15.8% of adjusted gross income than many ordinary workers do, once you include taxes for Social Security and Medicare, ProPublica found. An anonymous source delivered to ProPublica reams of Internal Revenue Service data on the countrys wealthiest people, including Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, Rupert Murdoch and Mark Zuckerberg. ProPublica compared the tax data it received with information available from other sources. It reported that in every instance we were able to check involving tax filings by more than 50 separate people the details provided to ProPublica matched the information from other sources. Using perfectly legal tax strategies, many of the uber-rich are able to whittle their federal tax bills down to nothing or close to it. Soros went three straight years without paying federal income tax; billionaire investor Carl Icahn, two, ProPublica finds. The findings are sure to heighten the national debate over the vast and widening inequality between the very wealthiest Americans and everyone else. ProPublica reports that the tax bills of the rich are especially low when compared with their soaring wealth the value of their investment portfolios, real estate and other assets.

I've found the new theme song for the PU site. Menopause Rhapsody - Bohemian Rhapsody Parody Song for every Queen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcVFtu-ZmmM The PU site owners need to negotiate terms to allow this song to be played, any time a user logs on the site. This might draw even more traffic our way. Just a suggestion, of course. But since the performer (it's one woman playing 4 separate parts, thanks to photoshopping or a similar software program), is not a professional singer, you should be able to get her cheap. Listen to the song. It will crack you up.

The first episode was released on Epix (available through Amazon) on June 6, 2021. The series has 8 episodes. I saw the first episode, thought it was very good. I'm guessing the series will have 1 new episode released each week. They don't make the release schedule information in the news release available, as far as I can tell. "Domina follows the rise of Emperor Augustus Caesars third wife, Livia Drusilla. The series will bring to life the exploits, affairs, and battles for political clout that surrounded this power couple who sat at the heart of the Roman Empire."

Wasn't Darth Maul supposed to be a Prince of Evil, or some such thing? I never followed the Star Wars films or history/legend. But I figure, being red like a devil, and with all the horns sticking out of his head, Darth is evil. Except your version is supposed to be cute, So I guess South Park is a comedy or cartoon series? Anything to do with Seth MacFarlane? Seems like he is supposed to have done some cartoon things. I've seen MacFarlane as host of some TV shows, he can be very biting in his humor. But I never watched any of his cartoons or comedies or whatever he produced/acted in. But your personality is very polite and respectful, which seems at odds with a cute devil figure. Unless you're being polite to sneak up on people? To catch them by surprise?

Unfortunately for the man, there was surveillance footage that showed the man tormenting the lizard for 32 minutes before the lizard finally died. So the judge didn't buy the man's story of self-defense. The man could have killed the iguana legally in different ways. The law allows people to kill iguanas. But not with cruelty. Freezing, drowning and poisoning is illegal. The man should have talked with a lawyer, before he killed the lizard. Or made up a better story, instead of saying the lizard attacked him. He should have killed the lizard, where no one could videotape the death. It's his word against a dead lizard, after all. Who are you gonna believe? ------ ------ Florida man tries to use stand your ground defense after beating iguana to death NY Daily News KATE FELDMAN June 2, 2021, 1:00 PM Scroll back up to restore default view. A Florida man argued that he feared for his life before violently bashing a three-foot iguana to death. A judge didnt buy it. Palm Beach County Circuit Judge Jeffrey Dana Gillen ruled against PJ Nilaja Pattersons stand your ground defense in the standoff, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reported Tuesday. Patterson, 43, was charged with animal cruelty for the brutal beatdown in Lake Worth Beach in September. According to his lawyers, Patterson rescued the iguana from the middle of the road, after which the animal allegedly bit Patterson, requiring 22 stitches. But prosecutors painted Patterson as the aggressor, pointing to surveillance footage that showed the 32-minute attack, during which Patterson savagely beat, tormented, tortured, and killed the iguana. Patterson clearly tormented the iguana and reacted in a violent rage, Animal Care and Control Sgt. Adam Moulton wrote in an arrest report obtained by the Sun Sentinel, claiming the man chose to stalk the helpless iguana and deliver vicious strikes to the animal. The iguana suffered a lacerated liver, broken pelvis and internal bleeding, according to the necropsy. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission allows residents to kill iguanas, but it must be done humanely, such as shooting them with a pellet gun, stabbing them in the brain or decapitating them in a way that they do not feel pain. Freezing, drowning and poisoning is illegal. If convicted, Patterson faces up to five years in prison.

This girl, only 3 years old, is a genius. She understands how people behave. And will become President of the United States, bypassing kindergarten and elementary school and maybe even college. The girl is that smart. ------ ------ Girl, 3, requests morbid 'Lion King' scene on birthday cake so she can have it all to herself NBC Universal Hayley Vaughn June 1, 2021, 2:23 PM A request from a 3-year-old girl celebrating her birthday went viral when pictures of her birthday cake were posted online by her family. The special request from the birthday girl, Leona, was that her cake depict the scene from "The Lion King" where Mufasa, Simba's father, dies. And Leona had a reason for such a seemingly morbid request. Everyone will be too sad to eat the cake and it will be all for me, she said, according to a Twitter post by her uncle, Casey Feigh. "Leona is hilarious and quirky, her mother, Alison Feigh, explained in an interview with "TODAY." She's also a very empathetic, sweet kid. The 1994 Walt Disney classic is apparently still a hit with a new generation of young kids. Leona was thrilled that her cookies-and-cream-flavored cake, custom created by Thirsty Whale Bakery in Minneapolis, was designed to show her favorite scene, claw marks and all. Alison Feigh told "TODAY" that Thirsty Whale Bakery not only agreed to the request, but offered her different 3-D options for cake dcor based on which part of the scene she wanted. The final product, showing a young Simba looking down over the edge of the "cliff" and an edible version his dead father lying below, left Leona grinning with excitement. Feigh describes the moment she put in the cake request for her daughter comically, saying, "I actually emailed them because I was too embarrassed to call," she told "TODAY." "I was like, Ill just put it in writing and click send. The worst they can say is no.

Man must follow God's law. If God commands you to kill gays or other infidels who don't follow God's laws, you must obey God. Kill with love. Amen. God will reward you in heaven, for loving God. And don't follow the rules a school might impose, because God rules all. Listen to God (and Donald Trump). Hail, Trump, our leader on Earth, who will overcome Biden and return to the White House, where he will lead Republicans to make America great again. ---- ---- Teacher on leave after speaking out against pronoun policy for students NBC Universal Minyvonne Burke and Tyler Kingkade June 1, 2021, 1:20 PM A Loudoun County, Virginia, gym teacher was placed on leave days after he spoke out against a proposed school policy that says educators should refer to students by the pronouns that align with their gender identity. Byron "Tanner" Cross, a physical education specialist at Leesburg Elementary School, said at a May 25 school board meeting that following the proposed policy would go against his religious beliefs. "I love all of my students but I will never lie to them regardless of the consequences," he said, according to a recording of the meeting. "I'm a teacher but I serve God first and I will not affirm that a biological boy can be a girl and vice versa because it's against my religion, it's lying to my child, it's abuse to a child and it's sinning against our God." During the meeting, Cross referenced a recent "60 Minutes" episode that talked, in part, about young people who once identified as trans but changed their mind and detransitioned. One person said they did not "get enough pushback" and were allowed to begin gender-affirming hormones after only two appointments. Cross told the school board members that he was "speaking out of love for those who suffer with gender dysphoria." Two days after the meeting, Cross was informed via a letter from the school that he was on paid administrative leave. The letter, which was shared publicly by Cross' attorney Tyson Langhofer, says that the teacher is being investigated for "allegations that you engaged in conduct that has had a disruptive impact on the operations of Leesburg Elementary School." Public schools have no business compelling teachers to express ideological beliefs that they dont hold, but its beyond the pale to suspend someone simply for respectfully providing their opinion at a public meeting, which is what such meetings are designed for, Langhofer said in a statement. This isnt just about a pronoun; this is about endorsing an ideology. The school favors certain beliefs, and it wants to force Tanner to cry uncle and endorse them as well. Thats neither legal nor constitutional, and neither was the schools move to place Tanner on leave. The attorney said the school violated Cross' free speech rights and demanded that they reinstate him as a teacher. He also announced on Tuesday that a lawsuit had been filed on behalf of Cross against the school board and superintendents to try and halt the suspension. Cross is one of many Loudoun County community members who have spoken at school board meetings in recent months to raise objections to the district's diversity and equity initiatives. Parents have argued the district is "indoctrinating" children on racial and LGBTQ issues, and complained that books assigned to high school students are too pornographic for the classroom. Frustrated by what they consider a dismissive response by the district, they are now collecting signatures in an effort to recall six of the nine school board members. Many of the parents and conservative activists involved in the recall quickly highlighted Cross' situation last week as evidence of the district's leadership has become too liberal. A spokesperson for Loudoun County Public Schools confirmed that Cross was placed on leave but declined to comment further. "Under state and federal law regarding the confidentiality of personnel records, this is the only comment Loudoun County Public Schools can have on this matter," the spokesperson said in a statement.

https://www.aol.com/news/watch-teen-scra...peech-214723963.html Watch: Teen scraps graduation speech to call out 'dehumanizing' abortion law Mashable Siobhan Neela-Stock June 2, 2021, 2:47 PM It appears graduating high school senior Paxton Smith knows that well: The class valedictorian didn't waste time or mince words when giving her commencement speech in Texas on Sunday. Instead of delivering a pre-approved speech on teen media use, D Magazine reported, she used her platform to decry a bill Texas Gov. Greg Abbott recently signed that bans abortion in the state at six weeks, a time when most people don't know they're pregnant. While her voice shakes at first in the video above, Smith gains confidence as she goes on. (The speech starts at the 4:30 mark.) "Starting in September, there will be a ban on abortions that take place after six weeks of pregnancy, regardless of whether the pregnancy was a result of rape or incest. Six weeks. That's all women get," Smith said. Then Smith made the ramifications of the law personal: "I have dreams, and hopes, and ambitions. Every girl graduating today does," she said. "And we have spent our entire lives working towards our future, and without our input, and without our consent, our control over that future has been stripped away from us." At that point, the crowd broke out in cheers. Smith continued: "I am terrified that if my contraceptives fail, I'm terrified that if Im raped, then my hopes and efforts and dreams and efforts for my future will no longer matter. I hope you can feel how gut-wrenching that is, I hope you can feel how dehumanizing it is, to have the autonomy over your own body taken from away you." She ended with a call to action: "I cannot give up this platform to promote complacency and peace, when there is a war on my body and a war on my rights. A war on the rights of your mothers, a war on the rights of your sisters, a war on the rights of your daughters. "We cannot stay silent." Her address has reverberated far beyond the Dallas community where, as D Magazine reported, administrators threatened that her diploma could be withheld. On Twitter, it's been viewed more than 600,000 times and more than 210,000 times on TikTok, Vice reported. What the student did was unexpected and not supported by LHHS or RISD," RISD School Board President Karen Clardy told Advocate Magazine of Lake Highlands, a suburb northeast of Dallas where Smith went to school. "We are going to review student speech protocols in advance of next years graduations to prevent something like this from happening again.

Me too and other movements can easily go overboard, and leave victims behind. And in the real world, it can be easy for some people to make accusations, whether those accusations have any basis or not. I never heard of Joey Ryan, don't follow pro wrestling. But it seems like he was an easy target. Cultural attitudes shift over time. Being gay was considered evil, criminal, a disease of the mind, when I was growing up. Today, it's considered a life choice (I'm probably wrong in this terminology, since it's not what you choose, but how you are made). And many people still believe gay, lesbian, etc. are sinners. And should be punished. Or even killed, in some countries. What I find ironic is that hidden gays can be anti-gay rights as any other extremists. Hypocrisy is part of the human condition. Amazon says its Prime Day promotion will run from June 21-22 By Aimee Picchi June 2, 2021 / 1:01 AM / MoneyWatch Amazon is bringing back its annual Prime Day as a mid-year event, aiming to juice sales during the typically slower summer period for retailers. The change comes after the ecommerce giant in 2020 postponed the two-day event until October due to the coronavirus pandemic. Prime Day will kick off June 21 at midnight Pacific time (3 a.m. Eastern) and run through June 22, the company said Wednesday in a statement. Since debuting in 2015, Prime Day has generally taken place in mid-July, which means Amazon is holding the event earlier this year after last year's delay. While the pandemic shuttered many brick-and-mortar retailers, Amazon enjoyed a surge in sales last year as consumers switched to online shopping to avoid leaving their homes or because local shops were closed. But the company has also come under increasing scrutiny for everything from its treatment of warehouse workers and delivery drivers to concerns from lawmakers over Amazon's growing size and dominance over smaller businesses. Amazon's sales jumped 34% last year to more than $215 billion. This year, the retailer said it will aid small businesses that sell through its website by spending more than $100 million on promotional Prime Day events to support them. As part of that promotion, Amazon said it will offer a $10 credit to use on Prime Day to members who spend at least $10 with some small businesses that sell through Amazon from June 7 through June 20. Critics say Amazon's online dominance hurts local businesses, which generally can't compete on price with the larger retailer. For Amazon, Prime Day is an opportunity to attract consumers for its $119-per-year Prime service, with only members being allowed to take part in the sale. The company said it has more than 200 million Prime customers, or more than double its membership when Prime Day launched six years ago. Here are a few things to know about Prime Day 2021: Amazon said its Prime Day event will offer discounts on 2 million products across the two-day sale. As always, some of the best deals will be offered on Amazon's own products, such as 50% off four months of Audible and discounts on Fire TVs. Amazon said it will give Prime members a $10 promotional credit if they buy $40 or more in select Prime-branded Amazon Gift Cards from June 2 through June 20. Unlike in the U.S., Amazon said Prime Day will be postponed in Canada and India "due to the increasing impact of COVID-19" in those countries. We live in a free country. So people are free to do what they like. Here is a cafe where they charge you an extra $5 if you're wearing a mask. Since most places in California require you to wear a mask if you're entering a public place, I thought it was very funny the owner is charging people $5 to wear a mask. Castleman said in a phone interview, "I don't force anyone to pay. I give them the freedom of choice, which seems to be a foreign concept in these parts of the country." My guess is this guy is a Trump supporter, and he's thumbing his nose at the requirement of wearing masks. Also, who is going to audit the guy, that all the $5 fees he collects will go to charity? Trump is famous for collecting charitable donations, that wind up for his personal benefit. ----- ----- California cafe owner charges customers $5 fee for wearing masks NBC Universal Wilson Wong and Bianca Britton and Dennis Romero May 28, 2021, 8:53 PM Diners are mostly free to speak their mind at a Northern California cafe, but doing so through the protective confines of a mask will cost a cover charge of $5. Fiddleheads Cafe in Mendocino on Sunday put up a sign announcing the fee for customers who wear masks while ordering. In March, the cafe announced an ongoing 50 percent discount for those who throw their face coverings in the trash, said owner Chris Castleman, 34. "I don't think $5 to charity is too much to ask from mask wearing customers who claim to care so much about the community they live in," he said by email. Proceeds will go to Project Sanctuary, a local domestic abuse organization, for two weeks before a new nonprofit enters the rotation, Castleman said. (Project Sanctuary did not immediately respond to a request for comment). "It's about time that the proponents of these ineffective government measures start paying for the collateral damage they have collectively caused," the owner said. The restaurant also planned to charge an additional $5 fee to those "caught bragging" about being vaccinated, according to a couple of the posted signs. But Castleman said in a phone interview, "I don't force anyone to pay. I give them the freedom of choice, which seems to be a foreign concept in these parts of the country." In June 2020, Castleman temporarily closed the cafe 200 miles northwest of Sacramento after Mendocino County officials warned that masks weren't optional at restaurants during the pandemic. "The government shut everything down," he said Friday. "Everyone wearing a mask is complicit." He abided by temporary mandates requiring curbside service only, but requiring masks for servers and other workers, he argued, is too much. "I don't believe in mask-wearing," Castleman said. "Our customer base has been strongly aligned with our beliefs, but I think some are really angry at our cafe." "It's their choice," he continued. "They can choose what business they support. They can go to any other business in my county, state."

I've been thinking about the woman who was shot. Does she have proof she was going to a hospital, before she was shot? She might have been driving to an illicit drug deal. Or she might have been driving for some other illegal purpose. Did she show her driver's license to the cop, to show her right to drive on public streets? Did she show the car's registration, to prove she had paid the license fees due? These are questions that, if answered in the negative, gave the cop the right to arrest the woman as a suspected criminal. Thus, the shooting was justified. Remember, the woman was driving away from the cop, instead of surrendering herself to a law enforcement agent. So add evading capture, and resisting arrest, to her list of potential crimes. No wonder the cop felt justified in shooting at her.

An apparently unarmed woman was shot by an off-duty officer. The officer was off-duty. But everyone knows that off duty cops are still on duty. This is an important legal distinction that is very important, but meaningless. Did the cop have the right to defend himself? Obviously, he thought the woman was attacking him. She might not have had a gun, but she was still a danger. The cop fired once, after she got out of her car to speak to the cop, who had been tail-gating her. The cop missed. Once the woman realized the cop was shooting at her, she ran back to her car. The cop kept shooting, hitting her six times (because he thought she was still a danger, and should be eliminated from the streets, to make people safer). The woman was able to drive to the hospital for treatment. The cop did identify himself as a cop, after he shot the woman. And an expert on criminal justice said that you can't know what happened until you've heard the cop's side of the story. Which won't be released until the investigation has finished. And the cop needs to be lawyered up, to make sure his rights are upheld. Plus, the cop's union needs to stand behind the cop, to make sure his right to be heard is upheld. Support your local police. They are there to support you. And to shoot down any criminal suspects they encounter. Whether the criminals are armed, or only suspected to be armed. (Flashlights, cell phones, and anything held in your hand is evidence of being armed with a dangerous weapon. Walking canes are also considered dangerous weapons, if held by a suspect, I've read.) -------- -------- Woman shot by off-duty officer in Cove says she was going to a hospital By Thaddeus Imerman | Herald staff writer May 25, 2021 Texas Rangers are investigating a officer-involved shooting that happened on the 1500 block of Robertson Avenue over the weekend. The woman who says she was shot by an off-duty police officer in Copperas Cove said she was attempting to get to a nearby hospital when she was shot. Lacresha Murray, a Copperas Cove resident, told two TV outlets (KWTX and KXXV) that she was on Robertson Avenue near her home when she began to feel ill. She made a sudden U-turn on the residential street in front of a silver truck, she told KXXV. She said she was attempting to get to AdventHealth-Central Texas in Killeen. According to her account of the incident, Murray said the driver of the truck went around her vehicle and slowed down. She told KXXV that she went back around the truck. After that, the driver of the truck began to tailgate her. At a stop sign in the 1500 block of Robertson Avenue, she said she got out to approach the driver with her hand clutching her hip area, which she said was in pain. She said he shot at her and she ducked as she ran back to her vehicle. “I ran back to my truck to get in and drive out,” she told KXXV. “He just started shooting, all I could do was lean over and he hit me six times.” Murray told KWTX that the man did not identify himself as an officer until after she had been shot. The incident happened around 12:45 p.m. Sunday, police said in a news release. Tammy Bracewell, an associate professor of criminal justice at Texas A&M University-Central Texas, said there are no laws or standards that require officers to act in an official capacity when they are off duty. “Even though you’re always considered ‘on duty,’ what that really means is you’re responsible for your actions on and off duty,” Bracewell said. “It doesn’t mean you’re always required or expected to act.” She said that the expectation is that an off-duty officer calls something in to an on-duty unit and acts as a witness. Bracewell still holds an active Master Peace Officer license and served 10 years as a police officer. “Now, there are times when — particularly in situations that have the potential to turn violent — where you may see an off-duty officer act in a capacity of an officer,” Bracewell said Tuesday. She also said shooting incidents involving off-duty officers cannot be lumped in, or compared, with other officer-involved shootings involving on-duty officers, because some situations involving off-duty officers may be instances in which the officer is acting under his/her own volition. The Texas Rangers, a division of the Texas Department of Public Safety, are investigating the shooting. The Copperas Cove Police Department has directed all questions go to the Texas Rangers. Neither law enforcement agency has substantiated Murray’s version of events, saying the case is still under investigation. Bracewell emphasized that Murray’s account of the incident is just one part of the story. She said she is confident the Texas Rangers will determine the facts of the case and determine whether the off-duty officer was acting within the letter of the law or not. Officials with the DPS said the incident is still under investigation and no further information is available. Lt. Kevin Miller, a spokesman for the Copperas Cove Police Department, said the officer is on administrative leave. He did not specify whether the leave is with or without pay.

Got an email today. The Vixen sites are on sale: 50% off. $14.95/month (or $100/year) for Vixen, Tushy, Tushy Raw, Blacked, Blacked Raw, Deeper. Haven't been following these sites lately. Hadn't realized there was a Tushy Raw. But I've seen all the other sites advertised before. Glossy glamour. But would be expensive to join all of them. I guess the porn sites are waiting to get closer to the Memorial Day holiday, to start advertising the discounts. Seems like a poor strategy, to me. But Amazon hasn't released the days for the Amazon Prime sale that happens in June yet. Other sites like Best Buy and Wal Mart offer competing sales, on those days. Look at the photo of this monster. This is a creature only a mother can love on payday. I've never had turtle soup. But I've heard it can be tasty. Can we all get together and celebrate Memorial Day at Jack in the Box with a bowl of turtle soup for takeout? Who wants to come? ---- ---- https://www.cnn.com/2021/05/26/americas/...-intl-hnk/index.html Giant tortoise thought extinct 100 years ago is living in Galapagos, Ecuador says Story by Reuters Updated 12:13 AM ET, Thu May 27, 2021 2019: 'Extinct' Galapagos tortoise believed to be found The rare Fernandina Giant Tortoise believed extinct was seen earlier this week for the first time in 100 years. 'Extinct' Galapagos tortoise believed to be found Ecuador confirmed on Tuesday that a giant tortoise found in 2019 in the Galapagos Islands is a species considered extinct a century ago. The Galapagos National Park is preparing an expedition to search for more of the giant tortoises in an attempt to save the species. The turtle was found two years ago on Fernandina Island, one of the youngest and most pristine in the archipelago, during a joint expedition between the Galapagos National Park and the Galapagos Conservancy. Scientists from Yale University then identified it as the Chelonoidis phantasticus species, which had been considered extinct more than a century ago. "Yale University revealed the results of genetic studies and the respective DNA comparison that was made with a specimen extracted in 1906," the Galapagos Park said in a statement. A tortoise of the Chelonoidis phantasticus species, which had been considered extinct more than a century ago, is seen on the Galapagos Islands in July 2019. In the Galapagos Islands, which served as the basis for the British scientist Charles Darwin's theory of the evolution of species in the 19th century, many varieties of tortoises live together with flamingos, boobies, albatrosses and cormorants, a family of species of aquatic birds. It also houses a large amount of flora and fauna in danger of extinction. "It was believed extinct more than 100 years ago! We have reconfirmed its existence," Environment Minister Gustavo Manrique wrote on his Twitter account. The current population of giant tortoises from various species is estimated at 60,000, according to data from the Galapagos National Park. One was known as "Lonesome George," a male Pinta Island tortoise, the last known of the species, who died in 2012 without leaving any offspring.

Jeff Bezos is stepping down as Amazon CEO. Will the stock market crash and burn? Will Trump's supporters unite to take down the Federal Government, and place Trump back in the White House? Will Walt Disney rise from the grave, and lead the Disney universe to greater glory? Enquiring minds want to know: what happens to porn when Bezos steps down? ----- ----- Jeff Bezos is stepping down as Amazon CEO By Clare Duffy, CNN Business Updated 7:08 AM ET, Wed February 3, 2021 Andy Jassy will be Amazon's CEO. In 2019, CNN asked him if he wanted the job New York (CNN Business)Amazon founder Jeff Bezos will step down from his role as chief executive later this year and transition to the role of executive chair, the company said Tuesday. He will be replaced by Andy Jassy. Bezos has been Amazon's CEO since its founding in 1995. He oversaw its growth from an online bookseller into a $1.7 trillion global retail and logistics behemoth, which has also made Bezos into one of the world's richest people. Jassy has worked for Amazon since 1997 and currently serves as CEO of the company's cloud business, Amazon Web Services, its biggest profit driver. "This journey began some 27 years ago. Amazon was only an idea, and it had no name," Bezos wrote letter to employees Tuesday. "The question I was asked most frequently at that time was, 'What's the internet?' ... Today, we employ 1.3 million talented, dedicated people, serve hundreds of millions of customers and businesses, and are widely recognized as one of the most successful companies in the world." The news came as part of Amazon's fourth-quarter earnings report. The company handily beat Wall Street analysts' projections for both sales and profit, capping a banner year as the pandemic boosted its retail and cloud businesses. The company's shares were essentially flat shortly after the market closed Tuesday, but gained almost 1% two hours after the closing bell. Amazon's stock has grown nearly 69% over the past year. Andy Jassy, who currently heads Amazon Web Services, will take over as Amazon CEO from Jeff Bezos later this year. Massive earnings beat Amazon (AMZN) posted quarterly net sales of $125.6 billion, up 44% from the same period in the prior year and well ahead of the $119.7 billion Wall Street analysts had projected. Net income in the quarter hit $7.2 billion — nearly double the $3.7 billion Wall Street predicted and more than double the $3.3 billion in income the company earned in the year-ago quarter. Earnings per diluted share were $14.09. The quarterly results include sales from Prime Day, which was held October 13-14 after being postponed over the summer because of the pandemic. Sales from Prime Day, as well as continued demand for online shopping as Covid-19 cases surged, contributed to 40% year-over-year growth in Amazon's net sales in North America, which totaled more than $75 billion. International sales jumped 57% to nearly $37.5 billion. Amazon said it delivered more than a billion products to customers worldwide during a "record-breaking holiday season." Revenue from Amazon Web Services grew 28% from the prior-year quarter to more than $12.7 billion, which the company attributed to "significant customer momentum," including new commitments and migrations to the cloud by the likes of JPMorgan Chase (JPM), Twitter (TWTR), Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, among others. AWS posted full year revenue of more than $45 billion and operating income of $13.5 billion. "AWS is well on its way to creating an annualized $50 billion revenue company," Patrick Moorhead, principal analyst at Moor Insights and Strategy, said in an emailed statement. "This makes AWS larger than Salesforce.com and SAP combined. Equally impressive is that AWS delivered over half of the company's operating profit." Amazon to Biden: Prioritize our workers for the vaccine A key growth area for Amazon is its advertising business. The company's "other revenue," which primarily includes advertising, grew 64% during the quarter, an acceleration in growth from the two previous quarters, CFO Brian Olsavsky said on a call with analysts Tuesday. Amazon's strong overall sales performance "may obscure the more important story of Amazon's surging ad business," eMarketer Principal Analyst Andrew Lipsman said in a statement. "Two consecutive quarters of huge bottom-line beats in the face of rising operational costs and softening AWS growth points to a much more profitable ads business than previously appreciated." As for the full year results, Amazon reported total net sales increased 38% to $386.1 billion, more than $6 billion more than analysts had projected. Net income for 2020 reached $21.3 billion, or $41.83 per diluted share, an increase of nearly 84% from a year earlier. The strong growth in profit came even as Amazon spent more than $11.5 billion on pandemic-related costs in 2020, Olsavsky said on the call. That includes $2.5 billion in additional Covid-related employee pay and ramping up in-house employee testing. Despite those efforts, Amazon has faced intense scrutiny over its warehouse safety during the pandemic. Nucleus Research analyst Daniel Elman said he's "not entirely surprised" to see the huge jump in annual sales "given the worldwide shift to e-commerce in light of the pandemic." "With this change in consumer behavior likely to remain permanent, and Amazon's accelerating shipping and fulfillment speeds, the company's dominance as the go-to platform for e-commerce will remain unchallenged," Elman said. For the current quarter, Amazon anticipates revenue will grow between 33% and 40% compared to the prior-year quarter to between $100 billion and $106 billion. The company also expects to incur approximately $2 billion in costs related to Covid-19 during the current quarter, putting quarterly income guidance at between $3 billion and $6.5 billion, compared to the $4 billion Amazon earned in the first quarter of 2020. Bezos stepping down Bezos said in his Tuesday letter that he is excited for the transition, which will free up more time for him to work on outside projects. As executive chair of Amazon, he will focus on "new products and early initiatives," he said. "Being the CEO of Amazon is a deep responsibility, and it's consuming," Bezos wrote. "When you have a responsibility like that, it's hard to put attention on anything else. As Exec Chair I will stay engaged in important Amazon initiatives but also have the time and energy I need to focus on the Day 1 Fund, the Bezos Earth Fund, Blue Origin, The Washington Post, and my other passions. I've never had more energy, and this isn't about retiring. I'm super passionate about the impact I think these organizations can have." One of Big Tech's top moneymakers is getting a pandemic boost He added that Jassy "will be an outstanding leader, and he has my full confidence." Jassy is an obvious choice for the top job, especially after Jeff Wilke, the head of the company's worldwide consumer division and another veteran Amazon leader, announced his retirement in August. Jassy is a longtime member of Amazon's elite leadership group, the "S-team," and has overseen the growth of AWS into a cash cow and the world's biggest cloud computing provider. The cloud computing market is expected to expand even further in coming years as the pandemic accelerates companies' adoption of cloud, as they aim to be more effective in an era of digital-first interactions. "Andy Jassy stepping into the CEO role at Amazon is a natural fit," Tim Hubbard, assistant professor at the University of Notre Dame's Mendoza College of Business said in an emailed comment. "Amazon Web Services is a powerhouse within the company, driving a lot of profitability. The transition may indicate that for the core of the company, it's going to continue down the path it's going."

I've seen little or no special deals this week. Strange. Usually see lots of porn deals for most holidays, with spam emails or just on web sites I visit. But nothing this week. I have seen a few advertisements for Amazon Prime Day, which is supposed to happen in June 2021, but not yet revealed which day(s) it will happen. That's mainly for Amazon devices, but other stores often have sales to compete. But if you're in the market for an Amazon device (tablet, ear plugs, whatever), the prices can be low. I use an Amazon tablet to read kindle books and watch Amazon Prime movies and series, since I'm a Amazon Prime member.

Is Donald Trump a secret Mafia Kingpin? Where is he getting his money from? He spent $300 million cash to buy 2 golf courses in 2006 and 2014. "But if the Trump Organization couldn’t satisfy the court that the money was clean, the government, in theory, could seize the properties." That's the way it's done in America. So Britain passed a similar law in 2018 to fight money laundering and target the illicit wealth of foreign officials. Is Trump a crook? Nixon said he was not a crook. Will Trump admit that he is a crook? Or will he stand behind the "Witch hunt" and "Fake news" defenses? ---------- ---------- Exclusive: Court action seeks probe of Trump’s Scottish golf course buys Reuters Jason Szep and Tom Bergin May 24, 2021, 7:09 AM By Jason Szep and Tom Bergin (Reuters) - The Scottish government is facing a new legal challenge over its February rejection of a motion to investigate former U.S. President Donald Trump's all-cash purchases of two golf courses, reviving an effort to force Trump to disclose how he financed the deals. Avaaz, a global human rights group, filed a petition in Scotland’s highest civil court seeking a judicial review of the government's decision not to pursue an "unexplained wealth order" on Trump’s business. In February, Parliament voted 89-to-32 against the motion, which was brought by the minority Scottish Green Party and would have sought details on the source of the money the Trump Organization used to buy the courses in 2006 and 2014. The Avaaz petition, which has not been previously reported, was served on Scotland's government on Monday. Trump, after decades of buying properties with debt, spent more than $300 million in cash purchasing and developing the Scottish courses, neither of which has turned a profit. Some Scottish politicians have cited mounting investigations into Trump’s U.S. financial interests as grounds to scrutinize his business dealings in Britain. The British government introduced unexplained wealth orders in 2018 to help authorities fight money laundering and target the illicit wealth of foreign officials. The orders do not trigger a criminal proceeding. But if the Trump Organization couldn’t satisfy the court that the money was clean, the government, in theory, could seize the properties. The 13-page petition filed by Avaaz alleges that the politicians who voted against the motion did so based on a flawed legal interpretation. "Such a continued misapplication of the law would be contrary to the rule of law," it said. The Scottish Parliament rejected the motion seeking the order on Feb. 3. Before the vote, Humza Yousaf - the justice minister and a member of the ruling Scottish National Party - called Trump “deplorable” but argued that unexplained wealth orders should be instigated by law enforcement officials rather than politicians. “There must not be political interference in the enforcement of the law," Yousaf said. Yousaf said that the Civil Recovery Unit - an enforcement authority reporting to Scotland's most senior legal officer, the Lord Advocate - should “undertake the investigatory role.” Avaaz challenges that reasoning in its court action, which asks the Court of Session in Edinburgh to rule that Scotland’s ministers have sole responsibility to determine whether to apply for an unexplained wealth order and cannot delegate that responsibility to other people or institutions. It also argued that the legal standard for issuing the wealth order against Trump had been met and that Scotland's leaders had failed to perform their duty. If the court sides with Avaaz, the government would need to make a decision. The ministers could, in theory, decide to pursue the wealth order against Trump. Or they could find a new argument for rejecting it but that may open them up to further litigation. A spokesman for Trump did not respond to a request for comment. His son, Eric Trump - a director of the Scottish golf courses - said in February that Scottish politicians who supported the unexplained wealth order were “advancing their personal agendas” and that the Trump Organization had “made an overwhelming contribution to the leisure and tourism industry.” CALL TO ‘TAKE ACTION’ Avaaz lawyers and opposition politicians - including members of the Greens, Labor and Liberal Democrat parties - have criticized the majority’s interpretation of the law governing unexplained wealth orders. “It raises eyebrows as to why Ministers are not availing themselves of this ability to put questions to the Trump Organization,” said Nick Flynn, legal director at Avaaz, a nonprofit that has pressed for the Scottish probe since 2019 as part of its global push for investigations into Trump. “If Trump can't explain the source of the money, then the Scottish government has the responsibility to take action." In 2006, Trump bought 1,000 acres in Aberdeenshire for more than $10 million. Since then, he’s spent another $60 million building a golf course, a small hotel and a handful of holiday cottages, according to company filings with the UK corporate registry. The Trump Organization has said in public statements and filings that it has spent a total of more than $140 million on the development. Trump, an avid golfer whose mother was Scottish, made a bigger investment in Turnberry, a seaside course that has four times hosted The Open - Europe's only golf major. In 2014, he bought Turnberry’s course and resort for $60 million. Company filings in the UK show that Trump’s company spent another $100 million on course upgrades and other expenses. In addition to the Turnberry and Aberdeenshire courses, Trump purchased five other golf properties outside Scotland in all-cash deals. In 2016, Trump told Reuters that the operating losses at his courses didn’t matter because his “big play” was developing real estate at the properties. But Trump appears to have made little progress in executing that play, according to a Reuters examination https://www.reuters.com/investigates/spe...al-report/trump-golf of satellite imagery and U.S. and European property filings. The report, published last year, showed that the Trump Organization hasn’t built a single home over the past decade at any of the 11 golf properties the business owns outright, according to land records and the president’s financial disclosures. DISPUTED QUOTE ABOUT RUSSIAN MONEY Patrick Harvie, leader of the Greens, has expressed concerns in Scottish Parliament over how the courses were funded. “Big questions remain over Trump’s business dealings in Scotland,” he said in February 2020. The purchase of the two courses, he said, "were part of Trump’s huge cash spending spree in the midst of a global financial crisis, while his son was bragging about money pouring in from Russia.” Harvie was referring to a comment attributed to Eric Trump by veteran golf writer James Dodson, who relayed a conversation with Trump’s son in a 2017 interview with National Public Radio. Dodson said Eric Trump told him the courses were financed with money from Russia. Eric Trump has denied making the comment about Russian money to Dodson and called Harvie's comments in Scottish Parliament false. Donald Trump has denied that he used any money from Russian sources to buy the Scottish golf courses. Reuters interviewed Dodson, a Golf Magazine columnist and the biographer of golf legend Arnold Palmer. He said Eric Trump made the remark about Russian money while the two were talking at Donald Trump's golf club in Charlotte, North Carolina, in August 2013. Dodson said the golf industry was going through financial difficulties when Trump purchased a number of clubs and that banks were reluctant to provide loans for golf course investments. “It was really a simple question,” Dodson said. “I said: ‘How are you funding all these acquisitions?’ He said: ‘We don't rely on American banks. We get all the money we need from foreign investors’. And I remember asking if he meant the Chinese. And he said, ‘No, we get all the money we need to get right out of Russia’." A spokeswoman for the Trump Organization said Dodson’s recollection was incorrect. (Reporting by Jason Szep and Tom Bergin; editing by Brian Thevenot)

Phil Mickelson's sister reveals Phil doesn't listen to his mother. Phil Mickelson's mom was too nervous to text him during final round, so she asked his sister to do it Yahoo Sports Liz Roscher May 24, 2021, 6:22 AM There was a lot on the line for Phil Mickelson on Sunday. After a roller coaster final round at the PGA Championship, Mickelson took home the trophy, winning his sixth major and becoming the oldest man to win a major tournament. With so much at stake, there was a lot of nervousness. Not from Mickelson, but from his mother, Mary, who was watching at home. Tina Mickelson, Phil's sister, fielded what she called "nervous texts" from Mary all afternoon. She shared one of their exchanges on Twitter, which was absolutely adorable. Mom's text to Phil's sister: "Mom> Tina, txt Philip and tell him just to par in. Don't hit bombs or activate calves. Just par. They will have to catch him. He won't listen to his mother do you txt him. Hurry." (I think the advice is spot on. And Philip should listen to his Mom, who carried him for 9 months before he came into the world.) That text might be the most mom thing ever. The world might know him as "Phil Mickelson," but to his mom he's still "Philip." And Mary knows what mothers everywhere know: no matter how old they are, kids don't listen to their mothers. Since Mary didn't think her son would listen to her advice, she asked Tina to text him instead. But Tina knew the real way to get to Phil: through Tim, who was not just his caddy but their brother. Tina didn't reveal whether or not she actually texted Tim, but she did share an exchange they had at a recent family dinner where Phil and Tim warned the whole family that his victory on Sunday might be coming. The world may have been surprised by Mickelson's victory at the PGA Championship on Sunday, but his family may have been a little less surprised than everyone else.

Black woman trash talking a white coach who said she weighed 300 pounds. The black woman is a basketball play who weighs "235 pounds and I'm very proud of being a big bitch, big body, big Benz, baby. So don't ever try to disrespect me or another woman in the league." The white coach was suspended and fined $10,000 for his comment. So it can pay to be an aggressive black woman. Especially when she is calling Whitey a "little sir man". Power to the people. ----- ----- Sun coach Curt Miller suspended, fined for 'offensive' weight comment toward Aces' Liz Cambage Yahoo Sports Cassandra Negley May 24, 2021, 10:20 AM As soon as Liz Cambage began jawing at the Connecticut Sun bench on Sunday night, her Instagram Story became a must-watch. Cambage said on Instagram after her Las Vegas Aces took the 72-65 loss that Sun coach Curt Miller — identified as "little sir man" by Cambage — disrespected her by saying she weighed 300 pounds. The Instagram went live after 10 p.m. ET on Sunday. Miller released a statement through the team apologizing around 10 a.m. ET. on Monday. The WNBA has since suspended Miller and fined him $10,000. He'll miss Tuesday's game against the Seattle Storm. Cambage calls out Miller for weight comment It's unclear when in the game the comment occurred. But seconds into the fourth quarter of a four-point contest, Cambage drew a foul, hit both shots and stuffed DeWanna Bonner's attempt on the other end. Miller is on the sideline yelling toward the referee and Cambage said something toward the bench's direction. Cambage's full remarks: "Something went down in today's game and I need to speak on it, because if there's one thing about me is that I will never let a man disrespect me. EVER. Ever. Ever. Ever. Especially a little white one. "So to the coach of Connecticut — I'm sorry, little sir man, I do not know your name. But the next time you try to call out a referee trying to get a call being like, 'C'mon, she's 300 pounds,' I'm going to need you to get it right baby. Because I'm 6-8. I just double-checked because I love to be correct and get facts. I'm weighing 235 pounds and I'm very proud of being a big bitch, big body, big Benz, baby. So don't ever try to disrespect me or another woman in the league. "I don't know if that's how coaches run, like you just try to disrespect women like that, from the sideline? You're so lucky it was during a game. That whole part, you were so lucky that I was doing my job. Anyway to that little man — whole little, tiny, like where is you? — stop trying to project your insecurities baby. Pick up the phone, call the pysch, because you projecting some bulls*** right now. And next time you try to disrespect me, remember, I'm 235. It might seem like 300 pounds to your little ass. I'm 235, baby." She jumped back on to say there's a difference between players "talking s***" on the court and a coach getting involved because players "can't do nothing back." Cambage, 29, is a noted trash talker and outspoken presence who has called out organizations, teams and players prior to this for comments made on the court or decisions made off of it. Miller releases apology Liz Cambage Liz Cambage uses her size to gain advantage against the Connecticut Sun's Beatrice Mompremier. (Ethan Miller/Getty Images) Miller, the Sun's coach since 2016, issued a statement through the Sun on Monday morning acknowledging his remarks and apologizing. "During last night’s game, while arguing a call with an official, I made an inappropriate and offensive comment in reference to Liz Cambage’s height and weight. I regret what I said in the heat of the moment and want to sincerely apologize to Liz and the entire Aces organization. I understand the gravity of my words and have learned from this." Cambage is a matchup problem given her 6-foot-8 height that few can match. She's a full foot taller than most of the Sun's stars with the exception of 6-foot-6 Jonquel Jones and 6-4 DeWanna Bonner. She can shut down the paint with her wingspan, helping the Aces (2-2) force teams into shot clock violations like they did against the Sun (5-0). She finished with 10 points, seven rebounds and four blocks in 21 minutes, but the Sun out-rebounded Vegas, 44-26, for second-chance opportunities. The WNBA schedule changes to minimize extra travel as much as possible means these two will turn around and play again next week on June 1.

But Bouchard has his own slant on the story: It was not evil or dirty. It was like Romeo and Juliet. Full of sweet music and the sounds of erotic sex. Don't say this man is bad. He was only 18. And now the evil, dirty press is hounding him for being a human being. Forgive and forget. And make him your next U.S. Congressman from the great state of Wyoming. He married the girl when she turned 15. Because he knew it was the right thing to do. And got divorced a few years later. And the girl committed suicide soon after. Was it because she missed him so much? He is a hero, a young man who stepped up and took responsibility by marrying the girl. And now he wants to help people in his state, and the nation, by being the wonderful, honest, hard-working Republican that will make America great again. Hail, Bouchard. Hail, Trump, the real President of the United States of Trumpland, who will once again assume office after the Supreme Court orders the Department of Justice to drag Joe Biden from the White House in shame. ------- ------- Wyoming senator discloses impregnating 14-year-old at 18 FILE - In this Jan. 12, 2021, file photo, Sen. (Michael Cummo/The Wyoming Tribune Eagle via AP, File) ORG XMIT: WYCHE502 Michael Cummo, AP Associated Press | 15 hours ago CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Wyoming state Sen. Anthony Bouchard, a Republican trying to unseat U.S. Rep. Liz Cheney next year, disclosed that he impregnated a 14-year-old girl when he was 18, describing the relationship as “like the Romeo and Juliet” story and saying it was coming to light because of “dirty politics.” Bouchard initially disclosed what he described as a typical teenage relationship in a Facebook Live video to supporters Thursday. He later confirmed the girl’s age to the Casper Star-Tribune. “So, bottom line, it’s a story when I was young, two teenagers, girl gets pregnant,” he said in the video. “You’ve heard those stories before. She was a little younger than me, so it’s like the Romeo and Juliet story.” Bouchard married the girl when she was 15 and he was 19, when both were living in Florida. They divorced three years later, he told the newspaper. Bouchard’s ex-wife killed herself when she was 20, he said. Online records list a woman with her name as being buried at a Jacksonville, Florida, cemetery in 1990. The newspaper chose not to identify the woman. Bouchard is among at least eight Republicans running against Cheney in 2022 after her vote to impeach former President Donald Trump for the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol. Bouchard said he decided to post the video to get ahead of a story about his previous marriage. In the video, Bouchard claims an unnamed reporter and a “political opposition research company” were driving the effort together. Bouchard said he didn’t think Cheney was involved in the disclosure and Cheney spokesman Jeremy Adler denied any involvement. Bouchard and the girl were able to legally marry because Florida at the time allowed marriage at any age with a judge’s approval if a pregnancy was involved and a parent consented. “A lot of pressure. Pressure to abort a baby. I got to tell you. I wasn’t going to do it, and neither was she,” Bouchard said. “And there was pressure to have her banished from their family. Just pressure. Pressure to go hide somewhere. And the only thing I could see as the right thing to do was to get married and take care of him.” His son has become “almost” estranged from him after making “some wrong choices in his life,” Bouchard said. Bouchard, a gun rights activist who co-owns a septic system servicing business with his wife, said the disclosure wouldn’t stop him from seeking higher office. “Bring it on. I’m going to stay in this race,” he said. “We’re going to continue to raise money because my record stands on its own.” Originally Published 15 hours ago

I just realized I lost my icon/avatar (or whatever you call it). I might have lost it 2 years ago, when I had to re-register at the Porn Users site, because I couldn't log in under my old name. I can be very slow to notice things. LOL.

No. I get plenty of spam, but nothing from long dead sites, that I'm aware of. Maybe it's that cute icon of yours that's the magnet. What is it supposed to represent? Something from Star Wars, or some anime?

Reuters May 18, 2021, 6:45 AM By Brittany Hosea-Small SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - When California stripper Brittney, 26, walked into San Francisco’s reopened Gold Club stripping venue again in April after a year, she was confronted with masked-up dancers and just a clutch of patrons. “My heart just sank. This is just so, so sad,” said Brittney, who asked that her last name not be disclosed to protect her 6-year-old son. An hour of that four-hour shift was spent just waiting for customers and she earned $150, less than a third of what she would have made pre-pandemic. “A lot of times you'll see a lot of girls just sitting around,” said Brittney, who started stripping around two years ago to supplement income from two other jobs. “It’s just not fun anymore.” As some of the United States’ estimated 3,821 strip clubs start to open up again, women who work as strippers are confronting a transformed industry. Revenue in the industry is estimated to have decreased 17.4% in 2020 and is forecast to fall another 1.5% this year, according to research by IBISWorld. Under guidelines in San Francisco, for instance, strip clubs such as Gold Club that offer food are able to reopen, but strippers and patrons must keep their masks on. Performances are limited to stage dances, with no physical contact with customers. Lap dances and private “VIP” rooms, the source of the majority of a stripper’s income, are still prohibited. During the pandemic, strippers in states with stronger anti-coronavirus measures migrated to ones with laxer ones, such as Texas and Florida, according to dancers and club owners. Bob Tapella, the co-owner and manager of Cheetahs Gentleman’s Club in Sunnyvale, California, estimated nearly 60% of his dancers left the state to find work elsewhere. “I think we’re going to have to start all over from fresh,” said Tapella, whose club was closed for a year and survived partly thanks to a pandemic relief loan. “We had a special place. It’s going to be a lot of years before we get back to that.” Strippers who have stayed put cannot fully make it work yet. Brittney, who drives to San Francisco to work from her home in Sacramento, some two hours away, is not sure it even makes financial sense for her to strip in California anymore. She is considering occasionally traveling to Las Vegas, where she hopes she can earn more. Some strippers, including Sunnyvale, California-based April Haze, turned to online work when clubs closed. She made $400 in her first month on the content-sharing site OnlyFans, far less than the over $700 she would make per night stripping at Cheetahs in Sunnyvale. “At the club, people realize that I'm working, whereas with OnlyFans, a lot of people think, ‘Oh, it's just a side hustle’ or ‘I'm doing her a favor by subscribing,’” said Haze, 25, who asked to be identified by her stage name. Savannah Rain, a 23-year-old stripper, went on paid dates with “sugar daddy” clients and stripped online through Only Fans over the past year, but still ended up draining her savings. The reopening of clubs means she can cover rent again. And returning to live stripping also allowed her to reconnect with part of herself, Rain said. “I feel like the most whole version of myself when I'm in the club,” said Rain, whose stage name is Sage. “It's a safe space for me to express my femininity and my sexuality.” (Reporting by Brittany Hosea-Small in San Francisco. A nine-month-old baby tiger was almost shot and killed in Houston, Texas. The alleged owner of the tiger does not have a licensed for exotic animals. Also, the lawyer of the alleged owner has reported the tiger does not have a birth certificate or title. Will the tiger be able to sue the city of Houston for unwanted publicity, since the tiger is a minor, who's illegitimate birth has been exposed? Enquiring minds want to know: who will protect the tiger, who is still being fed with a baby bottle? ------ ------ Police: Missing Texas tiger has been found safe, healthy AOL Associated Press JUAN A. LOZANO May 16, 2021, 2:14 AM HOUSTON (AP) — A tiger that frightened residents after it was last seen briefly wandering around a Houston neighborhood has been found after a nearly week-long search and appears to be unharmed, police announced Saturday evening. In a short video tweeted by Houston police, Cmdr. Ron Borza can be seen sitting next to the tiger, petting the animal and saying it has been a long week searching for it. “But we got him, and he’s healthy,” Borza said as the wife of the man police allege is the animal's owner sat next to him and fed the tiger with a baby bottle. The tiger was being held at BARC, the city of Houston’s animal shelter, but was expected to be taken Sunday morning to the Cleveland Amory Black Beauty Ranch, an animal sanctuary in Murchison, Texas, located southeast of Dallas. Authorities had been searching for the tiger, a 9-month-old male named India, since it was spotted May 9 in a west Houston neighborhood. At the time, it was nearly shot by an off-duty deputy before being whisked away in a car by Victor Hugo Cuevas, who police allege is the owner. At a news conference later Saturday evening, Borza said that Cuevas' wife, Giorgiana, turned over the tiger to police on Saturday after a friend of hers reached out to officials at BARC. “It is Victor’s tiger. That’s what I was told by (Giorgiana Cuevas) ... She says they’ve had that animal for nine months," Borza said. He alleged that the tiger was passed around to different people but that Cuevas' wife knew where the tiger was at all times this week as authorities searched for it. Police are still trying to determine where exactly the tiger was held this week and if any charges related to having the tiger will be filed. Tigers are not allowed within Houston city limits under a city ordinance unless the handler, such as a zoo, is licensed to have exotic animals. But Cuevas’ attorney, Michael W. Elliott, on Saturday night continued to insist his client doesn’t own the tiger, saying, “I am not sure it makes any difference who technically owns India as he does not have a birth certificate or title." “Victor was not the primary owner of India nor did India stay with him the majority of the time," Elliott told The Associated Press. “Victor was however involved in the caretaking of India often. Victor loves India as anyone else would love a favorite pet ... He treated India with love and fantastic treatment in all respects." Cuevas was arrested Monday by Houston police and charged with evading arrest for allegedly fleeing his home with the tiger after officers had responded to a call about a dangerous animal. At the time of his arrest by Houston police, Cuevas was already out on bond for a murder charge in a 2017 fatal shooting in neighboring Fort Bend County. Cuevas has maintained the shooting was self-defense, Elliott said. Cuevas was released on a separate bond for the evading arrest charge on Wednesday. But prosecutors in Fort Bend County then sought to have him held with no bond on the murder charge. After an all-day hearing on Friday, a judge revoked Cuevas’ current $125,000 bond on the murder charge and issued a new bond for $300,000. He remains jailed. During Friday’s court hearing, Waller County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Wes Manion, who lives in the Houston neighborhood where the tiger was seen, testified he interacted with the animal for about 10 minutes to make sure it didn’t go after someone else. He said Cuevas came out of his house yelling, “Don’t kill it,” grabbed the tiger by the collar and kissed its head before leading it back inside his home. Various videos of the tiger's encounter with Manion were posted on social media. Elliott has said Cuevas did nothing illegal because Texas has no statewide law forbidding private ownership of tigers and other exotic animals. Borza said that an exotic animal like a tiger should never be kept in a home. While India seemed domesticated, the tiger already weighs 175 pounds (79 kg), it can “do a lot of damage" and will only get bigger, he said. “He will be going to a sanctuary ... where hopefully he’ll live the rest of his life in a very safe environment," Borza said.

Thanks for the useful suggestions. I use Irfanview already. Use VLC already. I didn't want to use an older version of Firefox, so I recently bought Internet Download Manager. IDM is easy to use, and it can download videos from some paysites, which is handy. I never liked the updated Down Them All program. The older version was much easier to use. I should use a file management tool. My drives are very dis-organized. Again, thanks for the helpful advice.

The last comic-inspired movie I enjoy was Wonder Woman with Gail Godot. Thought the story was good, enjoyed the special effects. But I don't really like most comic book movies. Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) with Chris Evans was also a fine movie. But the follow-up movies with Chris Evans were not as good. The plots were confusing: America was not longer the hero of the movie, because the government had too many villains and hidden agendas that were evil. So Captain America, instead of fighting German Nazis, was fighting American Nazis and other secret societies. Also the fantastic inventions of the first movie (the submarine, the jet airplane, etc.) were powerful and interesting. I didn't care for the inventions of the follow-up movies, didn't have the same impact or inventiveness as the first movie. Just my opinion, of course.

A woman was expected to give birth to 7 babies. Instead, she drank the water in Morocco, and had 9 new babies. Stay safe. Drink only bottled water, that has been purified of all drugs. Also, there were five girls and four boys. More girls than boys means the population explosion could continue. Since Mali is such a poor country, and the level of health care in the country is so low, I doubt the woman used fertility treatments, or could afford them. Which is further evidence not to drink the water in either Morocco or Mali. ---- ---- Woman from Mali gives birth to 9 babies in Morocco AOL Associated Press BABA AHMED and TARIK EL BARAKAH May 6, 2021, 5:53 AM BAMAKO, Mali (AP) — A Malian woman has given birth to nine babies at once — after expecting seven, according to Mali's Minister of Health and the Moroccan clinic where the nonuplets were born. It appeared to be the first time on record that a woman had given birth to nine surviving babies at once. The five girls and four boys, and their mother, “are all doing well,” Mali’s health minister said in a statement. The mother, 25-year-old Halima Cisse, gave birth to the babies by cesarean section on Tuesday in Morocco after being sent there for special care, Mali’s top health official announced. Associated Press reporters saw some of the babies wiggling their hands and feet inside incubators Wednesday in the private Ain Borja clinic in Casablanca. Medical staff checked their status regularly in the neonatal ward wallpapered with cartoon characters. Cisse had been expecting seven babies. Malian doctors, under government orders, sent her to Morocco for the births because hospitals in Mali, one of the world's poorest countries, are ill-equipped to provide adequate care for this exceptional multiple pregnancy. The Casablanca clinic's director Youssef Alaoui told Moroccan state TV that they had been contacted by Malian doctors about the case a month and a half ago. They were not expecting nine babies, he said. Cisse gave birth prematurely at 30 weeks and is now in stable condition after heavy bleeding for which she was given a blood transfusion, he said. The cesarean was ordered after Cisse had “birth pains,” Alaoui, the clinic director, said. The babies weigh between 500 grams and one kilogram (1.1 and 2.2 pounds). The Guinness Book of World Records said in an email to The AP on Wednesday that its current record for most living births at once is eight, and that it is verifying the Morocco birth. The current holder of the Guinness record is American Nadya Suleman, who gave birth to eight premature but otherwise healthy children in 2009. Alaoui, the clinic director, told The AP that as far as he was aware Cisse had not used fertility treatments. The Malian health ministry did not provide any other information about the pregnancy or births. Yacoub Khalaf, a professor of reproductive medicine at King’s College London, said that such births would be extraordinarily unlikely without fertility treatment, and noted the dangers involved with such multiple births. The mother “was at severe risk of losing her uterus or losing her life,” he said. The babies “could suffer physical and mental handicaps. The risk of cerebral palsy is astronomically higher.” He urged more awareness worldwide about monitoring fertility treatments and about the risks and costs of having so many premature babies at one time.

WB’s New ‘Superman’ Film Reportedly Will Feature A Black Clark Kent & Could Be A Period Piece Charles Barfield May 5, 2021 10:34 am When it was announced that JJ Abrams was set to produce a new “Superman” film with acclaimed writer Ta-Nehisi Coates set to pen the script, the reports said that the film would actually include a Black actor as the superhero. But without much more information, fans were a bit confused. Does this mean Henry Cavill would continue as Clark Kent and a new actor would take the role of Calvin Ellis, a Black character from the comics that is another version of Superman from the multiverse? Or is this new film going to be a full reboot? Well, according to THR, we are getting a better idea about what’s going on. The report claims that the “Superman” film that is being written by Coates and produced by Abrams is currently in the early stages of finding a director. And it appears that Warner Bros. is interested in finding a Black director for the film, with Abrams most likely sticking to his producer role. Who the studio might hire is still a question, but the hunt is on. However, what we do know is the film is likely going to be a full reboot of the character and will exist in its own universe. THR says the script that Coates is currently working on probably won’t be ready until the end of the year, but the plan, as of now, is to have “Superman” exist in its own universe, not connected to anything from the Snyderverse or even “The Batman.” In fact, the report claims the film might be a 20th Century period piece. But is this going to be a story about Kal-el, aka Clark Kent? The answer seems to be yes, as the script that Coates is crafting is said to feature the classic version of Superman, hailing from Krypton and coming to Earth. Honestly, this is definitely the way to go, as it means the “Superman” film that Coates is working on isn’t just about Black Superman. It’s Superman, just played by a Black actor. And it appears that WB isn’t interested in being beholden to what Henry Cavill and Zack Snyder did with the character in the past, which means Abrams and Coates can craft a story that isn’t shackled by continuity. It’s hard not to be optimistic about this. Obviously, if the script isn’t going to be finished until the end of the year, filming won’t begin until well into 2022 at the earliest. So we’re still quite a ways away from seeing this new “Superman” film. But if WB does this right, we could be in store for something special.

Donald Trump, the bravest, most heroic president of the United States we've ever had, said in February 2018 "that he would have rushed in to save the students and teachers of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School from a gunman with an assault weapon, even if he was unarmed at the time of the massacre." Trump doesn't need a gun to be brave. But his adult children are different. And Trump is willing to demand that they be protected, even after he's left office. How many millions will it cost the US taxpayer to protect Trump's adult children? -------- -------- Here’s How Much It Costs for the Secret Service to Protect Trump’s Family Yaёl Bizouati-Kennedy January 21, 2021, 6:41 AM In the days leading up to his departure, former President Trump requested Secret Service security protection to be extended for the next six months to Trump’s adult children, according to a Washington Post article. Under federal law and under the Former Presidents Act, which was enacted to “maintain the dignity” of the Office of the President, former presidents are provided certain benefits, including Secret Service protection for themselves, their spouses and their minor children under the age of 16, according to the United States Secret Service website. Under the law, only Trump, his wife and their 14-year-old son would then be entitled to the protection. However, because of the former president’s unusual request, “the expensive, taxpayer-funded security will continue for his daughter Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner; son Donald Trump Jr.; son Eric Trump and his wife, Lara Trump; and daughter Tiffany Trump,” according to The Washington Post. The extended protection could cost taxpayers millions of dollars because of how many people are being protected and how often they travel, The Post says. For example, according to the U.S. Government Accountability Office, the Secret Service incurred about $396,000 in expenses, “primarily for temporary duty costs, while protecting Donald Trump, Jr. and Eric Trump during three international trips taken in January and February 2017. Eric Trump traveled to Uruguay and the Dominican Republic and Donald Trump, Jr., Eric Trump, and their spouses traveled to the United Arab Emirates.” The Post also reports that from 2017 to 2019, Trump family members took more than 4,500 trips requiring the Secret Service to travel alongside them, at a cost of tens of millions of taxpayer dollars. In Trump’s first four trips to Mar-a-Lago in 2017, the Secret Service alone spent about $1.3 million on each visit, and for just one month in 2017, Trump’s travel costs totaled $13.6 million, including expenditures by the Secret Service, the Department of Defense and the cost of renting space and equipment, The Post notes, adding that Trump had made 22 more trips to Mar-a-Lago since then, at a cost of an additional $28 million if the Secret Service’s costs remained constant. In 2017, the Secret Service asked Congress for an additional $60 million for its 2018 budget to cover presidential travel, according to The Post.
