Getting away from movies for a second and moving towards websites, Private has a huge collection of older porn but they do a really poor job of displaying it plus there is the DRM issue with them. Rodox just doesn't have the quality although there is/was some interesting stuff there that was good. Colorclimax probably does the best of putting out a decent product with porn from 80's and 70's. As for specifics, I still get a kick out of Debbie Does Dallas and Behind the Green Door because those were probably some of the first porno's I saw. I like the idea of "Porn Seed Vault". Hell, why not put it in Norway ... of course if we did then that might be the first place the aliens would attack in hopes of crushing our moral.

There is that function on the TBP site. Click on whatever niche you want to search under. When the page comes up you will see under the "Browse Sites" search bar at the top that you are automatically set for the "default" search function. Next to the "default" icon is one marked "cost" that lets you search that way using your monetary parameters. Hope this is what you were looking for.

We had a thread earlier talking about "ladies of the night" that had some links to sites with euro pornstars and escorts. Some of them I think talked about extra fees for photography so ya, you're basically paying more to forever memorialize your 5" special moment ;) Some of the big studios also have packages you can buy to hang around an actual porn shoot although they don't let you call the shots. I can't ever see wanting to direct a shoot. All the work it would take to make something I'd want to see over and over would ultimately the kill the buzz of the scene. The sites that let you choose the performer and choose the dress and positions aren't really much different from what you would probably find out there already so I don't see the desire to spend big $$ getting something that really isn't custom. Porn is fantasy; directing is work and work is not fantasy for me.

I got a regular visa gift card last year that I used to sign up for a site or two without any problems. Some billing processors may ask for the name on the card and, I can't remember for sure, typed in "Gift" or just used my name without any problem. So, my experience was positive with that. I think the idea that you have is a good way to go. The only downfall I can see is if you accidentally get stung for some extra charges. Because all you have is a gift card it may be very difficult if not impossible to find someone to help you reverse or contest the charges. That's where having a regular credit or bank card comes in handy. If you had a gift card through a major card issuer then that might not be such an issue.

Haven't ever been a member so I can't say that I'm any help here. Just thought I'd pass along the idea that you might want to post a comment on PU as more people, and specifically those who have active memberships there, might see it and answer your query.

I guess it's sort of to be expected in a place like this. It takes money and time to be into porn and if it starts getting too deep of a grip on you sometimes ya just need to back off and take a break. It would have been nice to just drop a note in the forum and let us know they're backing for a while but to each his own. They will be missed as Toadsith pointed out in that they were good posters here.

Ahh yes, every one sing "Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam, Spam, Spammity Spam, Spam, Spam ...". Thanks Khan for removing his spam tagline. Basicially, I would encourage other PU'ers here to take a quick a look at someones personal page if they make posts like this. Like this dude, he has no background info, joined today, can't write a complete sentence, originally had spam links in his tagline and his only posts at PU are in the forum. That means spam and it ain't worth responding to (no offense WilliamJ, just trying to discourage the idiots to begin with). I have no qualms about Khan deleting this guys threads either.

New topic: The Death of COPA has arrived. The Supreme Ct. finally ended the long line of cases regarding COPA (child on line protection act) by refusing any more reviews and let stand a lower court decision finding that it was unconsitutional. This law banned on-line speech (aka: porn) that was harmful to minors. The law was a Congressional quick fix to an earlier law (previously found unconstitutional) that made it illegal to publish obscene content on-line that harmed minors. While COPA never took effect the reasoning the courts used is important to understanding the possible future of anti-porn laws. The various appellate courts basically concluded that with the evolution of technology, end user filter systems are the way to go; not banning the original posting or creation of nasty adult stuff. This reasoning helps get ISP's, and ultimately us adult users, off the hook by not requiring the censorship of content from the start. Rather, it is up to parents and those who are easily offended to get some filtering software so they can surf in relative ignorance ... especially from us PU types ;) Edited on Jan 22, 2009, 04:32pm

I think that's one of those cultural medical myths. Cracking joints is generally OK, I think, so long as it's not an obsessive thing (aka: all the time). When you're an old fart and you need to crack your joints a lot that can be a sign of arthritis but I don't think cracking those nimble joints of personal fun will ultimately cause any problems.

Nah, it's a broken business model that relies solely upon Rick digging into his own pocket each week to throw a few $$ to some random internet pervs ;) Actually, BadAndy won a forum award for his analysis of TBP revenue streams in the Porn Mart thread so check it out if ya like. I don't condone password sharing for the simple notions that 1) You never know if you're card info, email, etc. could somehow be exposed or exploited by the person using your identity; 2) I don't know how blackballing works, if it even exists, with companies or billing processors but I don't really want to find out if some knucklehead pitches a fit about a site using my id; 3) It goes back to price and quality. Porn is cheap so it's not like you're working the old Russian black market trying to survive. If you pass around your membership, even for sites you don't like, you're diluting revenue for the owner who can't use that money, if they want to, to make their site better. 4) It starts you down the slippery slope. Once you start doing it on bad sites it becomes easier to justify sharing on the good sites. That in turn filters back to the old music pirating problems. You take it for free assuming your favorite artists will be there or that the quality will continue. There ain't no such thing as a free lunch and what exists today may not necessarily be there tomorrow when it comes to selection and quality.

My take on it is similar to RagingBuddhists. A lot of the mid to low end lcd's just don't have the same pic quality as a standard crt monitor. I'm still sitting on my old crt simply because it works well and the pic is fine for me. If I had the $$ I'd go for a 25" to 30" hd or high end lcd monitor but there's a lot of things I'd buy before investing in something like that. Going up by only a few inches probably won't change much in terms of viewing pleasure. For me the tipping point will be when you can easily connect and navigate your hard drive from your tv without all the current hassle, cost and hardware. At that point, I'd say keep your standard monitor for everyday use but use your big ass hd tv to view the stuff to soak up the booty in all its grandeur.

The music industry already learned from this one. Today, you see more and more cd's coming out in the $10 range. Why spend the money when you can pirate it? It's relatively cheap, the quality is better, you actually own the product to do what you wish and reload to your mp3 if that ever gets fried, and you're supporting the artist whom you like in hopes they'll kick out new stuff in the future. Sounds like something the DRM sites might take to heart and sounds like a reason to not deal in pirated porn.
