I am glad to see a woman participating on the site, beyond simply publicising a site. However, is there any chance of offering any discounts on ATK sites?

A good program for editing videos is DIVX author. There is a free one month trial, but buying it is inexpensive at $9.99.

I started using Perfectdisk as a defragmenter after seeing it mentioned here. Its a nice program, but at $29.99 I feel a bit overpriced. When I got my Western Digital Media Player, it came with a video conversion program called Media Converter. It can be purchased on line and converts most files to much smaller AVI ones. A free conversion program I like is called Bink and Rad. Not only does it change formats, you can also join clips together. It has a lot of other features, but I admit I don't understand them. It looks like it can change many different aspects of videos. Freeware. Another file converter is SWF&FLV Toolbox. After you have downloaded flash videos, it converts them to other formats. Freeware. The program for file conversions that comes as part of Nero, the DVD burning program, makes MP4 files that are 4x larger than AVI. I don't use it anymore. However Nero is just fine for burning DVD's. If you want to copy DVD's I suggest DVD shrink. It works a lot faster than Nero. Freeware. If you want to download files from DVD's I suggest CONVERTVODTOAVI. AVI files are fairly small with good playback. I am not sure if it works with copyrighted DVD's as I use it only to save videos from DVD's I made, but want to throw out. I have far too many DVD's. Freeware.

I must agree that Dracken's reviews have been quite excellent. I also predict that a young guy, perhaps him, will pass Exotics one day. As far as your question, I don't think there is much difference in preferences due to age or generation. However, I think we older PU'ers like more of what porn was like when we were younger-more story, more buildup, and find hair down there to be sexy.

Lately I have seen a few answers to how to make a similar review interesting and worthwhile. Check out momsteachingteens.com and you will see James4096 continuing and building on a review I made. Two other recent examples of the same concept are moneytalks.com with a review by Dracken and one of mine and also nude2rude.com with another review of mine and one by Gcode. In each case the second review adds another dimension to the other. Each review focuses on certain aspects. If the second reviewer had taken the position that the first review was enough, we would never have had such a clear picture of what these sites were like.

I have to agree that much of porn is boring and repetitive. I am currently taking a break, probably a short one. When I find something interesting I will give it a try. I have reached a point where it is very difficult to find that special something.

Thanks for the information. However, that just makes using the player even more difficult if I have to check out more information. Now I may know why a video doesn't work, but it doesn't make the video player more useful. It still is just as much a crap shoot if a given video may work. I have never used a playstation, but the video player has some of the same weaknesses. I checked out others on Amazon, but they all seem to have some kind of weakness. Maybe the answer is to wait until the technology improves. Given enough time, I am sure there will be players that work with many more file types and will be even cheaper.

It doesn't play all WMV files. I don't know which ones don't work until I try them and see. It also doesn't play DVIX, only XVID. I have had trouble with other formats that I cannot explain also. If you download videos from a site, all in the same format, it plays most but not all. HUH? They give you a program to change file types to AVI, but that doesn't work for some file types. Yet again, you don't know until you try them. There isn't a true search function. What I was getting at is that you must scroll a lot, and very slowly, in order to find anything. Don't put too much into an individual file folder unless you have patience. For example, if you have short clips from a website, you may have say 100 of them. It takes forever to move from one to the next within that folder.

I bought the WD Media Player a few months ago. It plays ok, but it is not easy to find files on it. Searches are very slow and take entirely too long. Well, about two weeks ago it stopped working. Obviously it is still in warranty, so I contacted Western Digital. They were polite enough, but they don't make returns practical and easy. First you need a return material authorization. You must get a box and ship it using a traceable carrier. No Post Office for them, you have to send it by UPS. You need to mark the box on three sides with the number they give you. Less than three markings, no credit. You must use bubble wrap or non movable cardboard, otherwise no credit. If the item is damaged in transit, no credit. Further you need to put the item in an electrostatic discharge bag, otherwise no credit. You get a new unit about 30 days after they receive the return. I don't live near a UPS store, don't have boxes or bubble wrap laying around and definitely don't have a special electrostatic discharge bag. For a hundred dollar item, this is just too much effort. I checked out the unit thoroughly and discovered that what was wrong was the AC adaptor. After going to several stores with no luck, I gave up and contacted Western Digital. They sold me one for $13 delivered by UPS. After four emails to customer service, I found that the fact that it was in warranty was irrelevant, as that is not a covered item. They don't make them so they don't warranty them. Next time I buy a Media Player I won't buy from Western Digital.

I think most guys see women as attractive due to the intangibles. Many times I know the best looking women are not the most attractive. Guys often cannot say why they feel a certain way about a woman. Often it is the smile and the look that shows a nice personality coming through. Often it is other intangibles, like vulnerability or confidence. For guys, you can't just add up the obvious and get it. The whole package is more than the sum of the parts. Ask women why a woman is attractive and they will say it is usually a matter of the superficial, just a matter of adding them together. For every guy you get a different viewpoint as to what they like and often cannot figure out the essence as to why. I find it a very different experience to judge a woman's looks by her pictures than it is to see her in action in a video. I am sure Amun-Ra will be pleased with us today.

Hi Babygetreal, I think you have some good ideas as to what you look for in porn. Many times I and others try to get at what we feel is that intangible extra that makes a site or video work well. There is a problem with translating that gut feeling into the proper words to make others see your point of view. But, I think you can do well as I see you put some thought into explaining your philosophy. I like some things you don't and I am sure you can say the same. I hope you write some reviews that reflect how well sites do in regard to meeting your standards. Personally, it is great seeing someone here who is older than I am. Welcome to PU. Andy, I may yet pass Exotics, but not this year. His lead is huge and well deserved. If I pass him, I'm sure he knows plenty of good people to go to for counseling. Just joking! By the way, I admire him not only for his skill in writing reviews, but also because he became something I wished I had become. My major in college was Psychology. What could be more interesting than learning about why people act the way they do?

I think another review is a good idea. If nothing else, you give a more recent view of how the site has evolved. Also, your review would confirm a lot of what another reviewer has written, and that cannot ever be a bad idea.

The issue was decided that the woman was 20% responsible for the outcome as she did spill the coffee. The other 80% was due to the fact that McDonalds settled out of court on over 700 similar cases. They would not have done that if they did not feel that they had to. They established a consistent pattern of owning up to selling a defective product. The woman originally wanted to settle out of court for just her medical expenses, but got a sarcastic letter from the company. The jury found all of this compelling enough to find in her favor. Selling a defective product has been a winning argument in many court cases. Why did tobacco companies pay so much? Edited on Jul 21, 2009, 07:26am

The coffee was served at at least 190 degrees and this was not the first time that this happend at McDonalds. They settled out of court for at least 700 other cases. Also, the woman suffered permanent damage to her genitals. The case was not as clear cut as has been portrayed in the press. There are those who think that "frivolous" lawsuits are jamming up the courts. If that had been you, I don't think you would have thought it frivolous. Check out http://www.vanfirm.com/mcdonalds-coffee-lawsuit.htm. There are many other stories on the web that give the truth. Edited on Jul 18, 2009, 02:25pm

I posted a long time ago that the same thing happend to me as a member of germangoogirls.com. I clicked on innocent links and was signed up for another site within the group. One link I clcked was labeled bonus sites and the other was hot sites. I will never again do business with any site run by John Thompson. I posted my very first comment to complain about this very type of problem regarding yet another site. There were prechecked sells that I did not see, then cancelled the sites. However, they signed me up for yet another site that I never had a chance to agree to as they never asked me. I quickly felt that PU was a helpful resource.

The videos are mostly split into too many segments, but there are plenty of softcore black girl videos and certainly lots and lots of explicit photos. The videos I have are only average quality. Most of the Black girls are quite attractive, even though I agree with Exotics that overall the site has quite a few plain girls. Although there is some variety of body shapes, keep in mind that ATK is All Teen Kingdom, with the focus on the 18-22 range.

This is my best effort to share what I know in the niche of Black women. In general, they are underrepresented in porn. Finding websites that have any quality offerings can be extremely difficult. The average website that is not specifically focused on Black women has either no representation or only a small token number of models/videos/photos. Without specifically joining a specialized website, you might get the idea there were almost no Black women in porn. An exception is Videobox, which has the most I have ever seen on any site. Mostly it is gonzo type pornstar porn, which you may like, but this is not my taste. Another example is the Dirty D network of websites, with a large number of Black amateurs. TBP lists 376 sites under the niche "Ebony". Of these, 104 have reviews either by TBP, PU or both. Nearly all of the PU reviews are mine. Another possible source of information is Iloveethnicporn. They list 193 ebony sites, but only 18 reviews. Their reviews are not very critical and don't seem to be objective, unlike the ones on TBP/PU. In addition, they have reviewed only four websites since 2007. While their reviews and listings may be interesting, please don't join by using their links. We all should use the ones on PU. You should not bite the hand that feeds us all. A big website that focuses on Black women is Roundandbrown from Reality Kings. The focus here is on quantity more than quality. Both the videos and photos are at best ok, feature pornstars in gonzo scenes, and are not very creative. XLGirls and Bootylicious Mag both have a lot of Black models. These have a softcore/hardcore mix. ATKexotics is quite large, with softcore photos and videos that are quite good. In the area of bdsm, Sexandsubmission has a few Black models and the scenes are intensely good. The quality here makes for an easy recommendation. In contrast, ebonybondage is just too small and the content is only bondage with no s/m. In the blowjob/sex with a bj focus niche, there is exploitedblackteens.com, an ok site filmed pov, Ghetto Gaggers, a bit of an extreme site, and EbonyCumdumps, a bj site in the same network. In the more extreme area of porn, Germangoogirls has a very large selection of Black girls. Shot in an unusual style, each video features large numbers of guys finishing in a girls's mouth. A blowbang site I liked was Cumbang. A black girl sucks off a group of white guys in each video. Southernbukake also has some similar blowbangs and is worth joining. I have found very few good lesbian sites. Realblacklesbians is definitely to be recommended and may be unique on the web. They also have another site in the same network, Blackandwhitelesbians, that is also quite good. A softcore photo site is Ricosgirls. Specializing in girls from Haiti and the Dominican Republic, the girls are primarily Black with only a few Latinas. On the plus side, the girls are all exclusive and true amateurs, but negatively many are unnattractive and the site is incredibly disorganized. A site that also had unattractive girls is Blackvaginafinder. Not recommended at all. I somewhat like africangoddesses, a photo and video site of African girls. They have bodies that are VOLUPTUOUS, more than even the best on XLgirls, without being fat. With hour glass shapes that you will drool over, the site is tiny and some of the videos are of such poor quality that they are not worth downloading. However, the best videos are wonderfully hot stripping videos, using traditional African dresses. Blackvixen features softcore material of UK Black models. Just ok, but definitely too small. A weak site I joined was Blackgurlz. Regarding solo sites, JadaFirexposed features a great model with a body that has to be seen to be believed, but a weak porn performer. SapphiraChanel, clubvanessablue and summerbanks feature quite beautiful models, but are weak and not worth a membership. I know this information cannot possibly be complete, so I am hoping others can add to it. Edited on Jul 12, 2009, 09:54am

I ran across something I found interesting today. Before I got into porn websites, I bought some DVD's from Hotbody International. They feature solo girls that go from well known nude models, such as Aria Giovanni, to porn stars to complete unknowns. They have all exclusive videos that feature a lot of explcit nudity and teasing in scenarios mostly involving stripping. There is no masturbation, dildo use or sex of any kind at all, just explicit nudity shot very professionally. What I discovered is that they have a website called hotbody.com and just reduced their membership price to $9.95 per month. I found an old review from another site from several years ago and it stated there was more content than could be downloaded in a month. I posted a comment here asking if anyone here has been a member. My real point of curiosity is about the quality of the videos. The DVD's are great, as clear as you could hope for, but are they putting them up in high quality on the site? This may be a great site if they do. I know many of us would love a site with great quality explicit softcore nudity. Edited by Staff on Jul 10, 2009, 02:22pm (Khan: Direct URL Edited)

I wrote a review of JapanAngels. I liked it, but there was not a lot of uncensored material. I also found that the more I watched, the less impressed I was. If I were to write a review now, I probably would lower my score to 80, maybe even 75. It was just too repetitious and I feel that too much on the site was censored.

It has been a long time since I first read this thread. While useful, I think not many PUers have followed much of the advice. I suspect that the sheer amount of detail given here can be intimidating to those who don't have a lot of confidence. I think a lot of details can be interesting, but you should never lose focus on the intangibles. Most newbie reviews have this in spades, but lack the back up for their opinions. This is what they need to work on. Giving long detailed advice is useful for those with experience writing reviews, but that is only a small handful of us at PU. What I would offer as the best advice is to take a step back and don't be too quick to write a review. Give yourself a little time to think about what is truly important or unimportant to say. Take the time to compare in your own mind how this site matched up with your own expectations. How does this site compare to others you have joined? Think about what a person who has never seen the site would want to know. In many cases it is in the examples offered here in the thread, but in many cases the intangible fun factors or those that make a site work erotically are what is most important. If you slow down the writing process and spend more time to put this all into perspective, I feel you will write a more interesting review. We all have biases, so explain yours and don't be afraid to get into your totally subjective feelings. After all, good reviews are a lot more than lists with a few opinions, they are about the opinions explained as well as you can. Edited on Jul 09, 2009, 10:59am

Turbo, the evaluation forms are only the beginning. With the recession colleges everywhere are very concerned as enrollment is way down. Students are generally treated like customers, and customers are always right. Some students are very outspoken and make trouble. When I was a student myself, disagreeing in class with a professor was a risky no no. You may be penalized in your grade at the end of the semester. Now students say and do a lot more than in the past. Check out the website ratemyprofessors.com. The student newspaper at my college had a big front page article about it last semester and many of our students went on line and vented very publicly. That would be ok if the professor in question had a chance to defend themself, but this is not part of the program. Here on PU, if we vent about a site, the webmaster can reply, defend, and even offer a solution to whatever we complain about.

Turbo you are on to something here, all kidding aside. We are discouraged from using red pens on student papers and also are given guidelines as to what to write as remarks. Most part timers like me are afraid to be overly critical regarding students work as they may complain and get us fired. That has been known to happen. Where I am now that is unlikely as teachers get support from mangement. In another college I had three students complain I was not being fair and soon after my contract was not renewed. Also being serious, the issue with sex with students is about whether they may be harassed into giving in. Once something happens, a professor is vulnerable if the student says it was not really consensual. In my case I am much older than the students, but what if there was not much age difference? I know of cases where it was definitely a gray area as to whether the affair was ethical. A friend of mine had a female student approach him after the class ended. They were both in their thirties and kept everything hidden. Believe it or not, he could have been fired under the ethics rules. Colleges are terrified of bad publicity and professors are expendable in most colleges.

I am not exactly sure who signs up for the sites that are directed at women. However lets look at the content. Having a lot of male nudes may appeal to gay men, but not straight ones. I myself would find that a big turnoff. But how about heterosexual sex videos focusing on better looking men? No appeal to Gays here, maybe some for bisexual ones though. Straight men probably wouldn't care or even notice. Forthegirls.com has been around for six years, so somebody must be joining or it would have closed. Next, are men acting effeminately if they pose nude for this site? Most guys, myself included would love it if women saw me as a sex object. All the nudes here are exclusive and not to be seen on Gay sites. How about a focus on cunnilingus videos? Would that make a man effeminate? I hardly think so. My point here was really that we should encourage women to participate in PU. Maybe they would comment or review on these sites, maybe on ones that are male oriented. So far, in the time this has been posted, not one woman has come forward. Maybe my effort to reach out will be an utter failure. I tried because I think PU is the place for all of us and now is as good a time as any to move forward. so far this post has been viewed nearly 500 times, so somebody may yet step up. Thanks Pat. Good writing is not necessarily quantity. Interesting details can be added with very few words. The key to good writing is in the thinking process before you even start to write. Plan ahead and spend a lot of time thinking, then writing becomes much easier. In this case, ask yourself what you would want to know if you were reading the review, but knew nothing about the site. It is an interesting point that Wittyguy brings up about coed tail. When we get hired we have to sign an agreement that we won't, in spite of the fact that our students are legally adults. Actually, they are rarely all that interesting. They practically never dress well when they come to class and they never heard about makeup. I teach freshman, and unfortunately many bring their high school attitude that they should do the least possible. Attendance is a continuing problem. As a result, most students seem to be not only young, but immature and unappreciative. Unless I had a predatory attitude, I just can't see any reason to actually feel attracted. Porn is fantasy and that works much better for me than the problems of the real women of the age group 18-22. No insult intended to those PUers in that age group as of course what I said cannot possibly be about you. We are all special here. LOL

Today makes exactly one year since I joined PU. No I am not leaving, I just want to share a few thoughts. I joined primarily as a way to complain about how a website treated me after inadvertantly not unchecking a cross sale box. Immediately I got some positive support, so I decided to post my first review. The comments about it were supportive and I got my first trust ratings from Aceofaces and Drooler. Thanks guys. They really made me feel good. So I then wanted to get past being a newbie with less than five points. After that, I felt that it was a lot of fun writing reviews and getting positive feedback. I have enjoyed the positive atmosphere that we have here. I am not deliberately trying to pass anyone in the rankings, but it has happened anyway. I am proud to be ranked number three, but a lot more proud to have so many trust ratings from so many PUers. Thanks to all of you. I also want to share a little personal information. I am a college professor with an MA who works only part time. This gives me a lot of time to join sites and write reviews. I teach at a well known university, so it is hard to say much more about that. I don't really have much of an excuse to write poorly as I do a lot of writing that is work related. That is also why I appreciated the positive criticism of my writing that I got from Badandy. Thanks for pointing out a weakness. By the way, when are you going to break the 100 point mark? The reviewers I respect the most are Exotics and Gcode. I feel their reviews are simply awe inspiring and wish I could write as well. The two reviewers I find most helpful as their tastes are similar to mine are Drooler and Denner. My only real criticism of many reviews is that after I read them, I find that I lack a true feel for the experience of being on the site. Many times I feel that the site is not sufficiently described, just criticised. I can read a long detailed review and still not know what the site is really about. They sound as if they were written for an audience that already is familiar with the site. It is better to start at the beginning and expect your reader to know nothing about your topic. Many college students also write this way and this is not exactly ideal. This has been a fun year thanks to all the positive people on PU.

Yesterday I posted a review of Sapphos Girls. It was most definitely flawed, but interesting from a male point of view.

Forthegirls.com is run by two women and is a site designed for women to enjoy. They just had their sixth birthday in early June. From the FAQ section: "Who runs this site? Are they female? For The Girls is run by two women who passionately believe in what we do. Our aim is to create a space where women can enjoy sexually explicit material without feeling degraded or ignored. We personally vet all the content available within the site and reject anything that doesn't meet our standards. The motto is "If it doesn't turn us on, it doesn't make the grade." What sort of content do you offer? We offer a variety of adult content including: photos of naked men, videos of naked men masturbating, hetero couples photos, both hardcore and more sensual, video clips of couples having sex, movie streams and downloadable DVDs, photos of amateur men and webcams. We also offer a selection of different content, including fetish, bisexual, girl-girl photos, all of which met the quality standards of For The Girls and allow our members to explore different aspects of porn. How does your content differ from a normal porn site? We do our best to ensure the female point of view is given priority. Everything is geared towards female pleasure and female fantasy. In a practical sense it means we create our own content that reflects that female viewpoint, and it also means that we present existing photos, videos and movies according to what turns us on and what we feel our members would enjoy. We're always looking for something different, something that depicts the spectrum of human sexuality in a positive way." An example of a network of lesbian sites run by them for them is Cyber-Dyke.com. This network has been around since 2001. From the FAQ section of Sapphosgirls.com: "We are the oldest, the largest, and the best women-run Adult network on the Internet. Our collection of high-quality photos, video, and stories is like nothing you will find elsewhere. We do not deal in slick, fake, packaged porn. All the sites on this network are hand-picked by aesthetically discerning dykes. If it's ugly, poorly-made, or that fake "lesbo" crap made by men, for men, we won't put it on this network. All the sites on this network are exclusive." I also found it interesting that one of the sites, Grrltools.com is basically a review site by women of sex toys, complete with photos and videos of them in use. All of these are listed in TBP, but not a single review by any PUer. Neither started only recently, on the contrary they are going for a market that has kept them in business for longer than many sites that cater to men. It is easy to find more similar sites by looking at Google. The reason I mentioned the porn for women sites at all is that many women find the more male oriented sites not that stimulating. Guys are not selected for their looks and some of the topics don't work well for women. The value in mentioning the for women sites is that I wonder how many new members would sign up with the publicity of a good review from PU. I know I would find reviews by any female about any site, not just for women ones, to be refreshingly different. After all, trying to figure out what turns women on is a hobby that most men have anyway. Edited on Jun 30, 2009, 05:58am

Personally, I am sick of the endless coverage of Michael Jackson. I know the news constantly overdoes their coverage, but this is getting ridiculous. We also lost Farrah Fawcett, Billy Mays, and Ed McMahon, but the coverage is negligible. My biggest gripe, however, is that this is pop news, not real news. There are many other much more important events going on in the world. Some of what has been said is just off the charts crazy. The Jackson family issued a statement on Saturday saying that Michael would have wanted us all to continue spreading his message. What message is that? Most of his songs have no social point to them, except a few sound like the ravings of someone who is overly sensitive with some touches of paranoia. I am sick of his father making public statements like his death was so sudden. It was predictable based on the family not monitoring his health. When were any of them involved as he was getting more and more addicted? On Saturday I saw an interview from a few years ago where his brother Jermaine said he was close to him. Really? Larry King asked if he was helping his brother with his music, his concert tours, or his personal or medical problems. The answer was no. But we are to agree they were close. Ridiculous. The medical examiner said he was 112 pounds when he died. Wouldn't his close family notice he was getting sickly? Michael said repeatedly and publicly that his father abused him. Now that he is gone, is that all forgiven and forgotten?

Yes I did mean to say "I love porn". These buttons are seen on college campuses, where most students are basically open minded and don't really care a lot about social norms. On another point, those who break social norms always find it difficult in the beginning. Think of Black people speaking out against injustice, or Gays more recently. Of course it is easier to hang back, but the brave cause change. If any porn forum is appropriate and ready, I feel this is it. We have as of today over 5200 members. How many contribute ever, let alone become regulars? Certainly we must have a few women members who can write even one review, or make even one comment. Edited on Jun 27, 2009, 02:40pm

While Wittyguy makes a lot of good points, I want to make a positive statement directed towards those hanging in the shadows. Point one, not all porn is or has to be male oriented. Point two, we at PU are a pretty tolerant and open minded bunch. I have seen reviews and comments about topics, fetishes, viewpoints, etc. that not only differ from mine, but also are all over the place as to social acceptability. Not once, please correct me if I am wrong, have I seen any regular belittle or denigrate another's point of view. Civility is the rule here, as long as we don't break the one cardinal rule-don't be a shill for a website. Pretty much any viewpoint goes, but never do we accept outright dishonest unobjective viewpoints. Besides, you can remain as anonymous as you want. I have seen women of college age wearing buttons that say "I live porn". If you feel you can contribute, I feel strongly that fellow PUers would welcome your diversity.

I have read, but don't remember where, that about 25% of porn users are women. If you look on google, you will find that there is a whole niche of sites that specifically try to appeal to them, with a totally different perspective. First the focus is on getting attractive men to perform, a lot of cunnilingus rather than fellatio, a lot of male photos, cfnm, a lot of big cocks, and even sites that focus on lesbian sex by lesbians for them to watch. These advertise themselves as the real experience, not the one that men promote as a male fantasy. PU even has "For women" as a tag, but not listed as a niche. PU has only a fraction of the possible sites, probably due to a lack of interest. We just don't get women reviewing sites that are female focused. If women watch and openly admit doing so, this would make porn more sociably acceptable-a plus for all of us. We have many, many silent members of PU. I for one would like to see some reviews, comments, etc. about this niche. So far, there has been only one. That is a retired review from 2007 that wasn't well written. Are there any women who would like to contribute?

The whole world should be a lot more worried about the obscenities going in Iran than in the content on Abbywinters.
