Years ago when i first found online porn, I would join ten, twenty or more sites a month. It was all on my credit card, so it was easy to forget what I spent. I got into major financial trouble and it took months to pay off the subscriptions. I would join a site, see something else, and join the new site too. It was a dark time.

I've since been very cautious about subscriptions I take. I usually only have one or two a month, and I look for sales and discounts.

Besides having too much porn to look at it all, paying for porn can lead to serious financial issues. "A man talking sense to himself is no madder than a man talking nonsense not to himself."

"Drain the Swamp" was a great slogan, but the reality has been far different. Almost every day I read stories about ethics problems in President Trump's inner circle, either advisers to the President or cabinet members. It's tiring and depressing. I tend to cancel the same day I sign up so I don't forget and get a surprise rebill notice.

I guess I've been pretty lucky with porn sites. I've only had to request a refund once, and the site owner dealt with it personally to refund my money (it was a solo model site, and the model was the owner). Not the case for everyone, I know. So-called "premium" memberships are a bane to the porn consumer, but probably the wave of the future. Sites wouldn't charge extra for downloads if they weren't profiting off it, or if people weren't buying premium memberships. I don't really know if that's true. Internet companies are like Facebook and Google profit enormously off of people's private information, and there's nary a peep about it from the public. It just goes to show there's profit to be made by screwing over the little guy, and businesses are willing to do anything to make a profit. If you're going to go for ATK sites, you might think about joining ATK Archives. All the ATK sites move their older sets after about five years to ATK Archives. I think most ATK content these days does have masturbation, but a lot of the archived material was just naked women stripping down and showing their goods. Happy Thanksgiving to all. @rearadmiral, sorry for the belated Thanksgiving wishes to all my Canadian friends.

Personally, I had a small Thanksgiving with my dad. My mom passed last year, so it was kind of bittersweet to have Thanksgiving without her.

Dad sent me home with a whole pumpkin pie. I live alone. How the hell am I supposed to eat a whole pie before it goes bad? Yeah, I know...with a fork. Ha ha. "A man talking sense to himself is no madder than a man talking nonsense not to himself."

Bill Maher obviously hasn't read any comic books, or he'd know that the medium of comic books has been on the forefront of social trends for decades. They've dealt with racism and prejudice, poverty, and what constitutes responsible use of power ever since I've been reading them (I began in the late 1970s).

Maher may have a point about our society's fascination with comic book stories, but really needs to put some research into the issue before he shoots off about comic books in general. "A man talking sense to himself is no madder than a man talking nonsense not to himself."

I don't recall getting that specific email, but I pretty much ignore any email or phone call saying I owe anyone any money. First, I pay all my bills on time. Second, if I truly owed them money, I would be being served with a summons from a court to appear about the debt, not some random email or phone call. For the record, "Das Lied der Deutschen" (The Song of the Germans)(which contains the lyric "Deutschland über alles" in the first stanza) was an anthem about unifying the petty German Principalities into one German state. "Deutschland über alles" originally was meant as a rallying cry for German nationalism and unification, with people being called to put "Germany above all else." It's the German National Anthem. After WWII, Germany has used only the third stanza. "Deutschland über alles" is no longer sung. "A man talking sense to himself is no madder than a man talking nonsense not to himself."

Thanks for sharing the comments about PU, Mike. It's kind of humbling knowing that the reviews we write are actually helping people to decide whether to invest their hard-earned money on buying a porn site membership. The White House has pulled CNN correspondent Jim Acosta's "hard pass" (a permanent security clearance from the Secret Service). Sarah Sanders released a video of Acosta allegedly being rough with a female White House intern sent to take away Acosta's mic when Trump wouldn't answer Acosta's questions. Disturbingly, the video seems to have been altered in two places, once speeding up frames to make it appear Acosta was rough with the intern, and again to slow frames to keep the same overall run time.

This is some Orwellian shit right here, straight out of "1984."

Acosta is unpopular, and he never should have touched the intern, but the issue is that the White House has released doctored video at all. "A man talking sense to himself is no madder than a man talking nonsense not to himself."

I don't care because it's not my child. I would never let any child get a tattoo, but it's not my decision to make for other people's kids. If the child's parents feel it's okay for a 10 year old to get a tattoo, that's a shame, but not something I think warrants arresting someone for.

Note: I live in a state where they take a DNA sample when you're arrested. Even if no charges are filed, your DNA resides in the database. Therefore I feel strongly against anyone being arrested unnecessarily. "A man talking sense to himself is no madder than a man talking nonsense not to himself." Edited on Oct 12, 2018, 01:27pm

I don't really care if the child gets a tattoo or not, that's up to the parents. I do worry that the mother didn't take the child to a qualified, sanitary facility. Is it bad judgement? Definitely. Should she be arrested for it? I'm not so sure. Parenting classes as pat362 mentioned might be an appropriate sentence.

The whole Kavanaugh confirmation process descended immediately into partisan camps based on feelings and not evidence. The FBI should feel ashamed at doing such a cursory investigation in this matter. Dr. Ford's lawyers had a list of twenty people they wanted the FBI to interview, and the FBI didn't interview any of them. The FBI didn't interview Kavanaugh or Ford. Who did they interview? Why did the FBI, who's motto is Fidelity--Bravery--Integrity, allow itself to be humiliated and made a partisan tool?

Part of the toolbox of autocrats is diminishing public trust in any institutions that the autocrat doesn't control--a free press, an independent judiciary, and law enforcement being very frequent targets. "A man talking sense to himself is no madder than a man talking nonsense not to himself."

Streaming has its fans. I don't deny that it is more convenient and less cumbersome than owning physical copies of things. But you never own anything. Your heirs can't sell or view your leased content after your death.

To me it's more a philosophical argument on the nature of society. I see that a subscription/leasing economy is burdensome to the poor in a way that owning things isn't. If more and more things move to a subscription/leasing model, you need a higher income to stay in place, and largely have nothing to show for your expenditures. At least with buying a dvd, if I never buy one again, I still have the ones I own to watch as much as I want. I can stop paying and still enjoy what I have. Not so with a subscription/leasing model. In that model, you must keep paying to keep access to the media. "A man talking sense to himself is no madder than a man talking nonsense not to himself."

I'm with you merc77. I'm in my late forties, and most porn scenes aren't as arousing as they once were. But I'm not sure how much the problem lies with biology and how much comes from the ubiquity of porn. When it was less common, I seemed to get greater arousal from porn. It took effort to go out and buy magazines or movies or books with sexual content. Now all I have to do is fire up the computer and thousands upon thousands of images and scenes are right at my fingertips.

I find myself less interested in watching the sexual acts themselves and more interested in the beauty and artistry of the scene nowadays. "A man talking sense to himself is no madder than a man talking nonsense not to himself."

Living in Silicon Valley, I have a running argument with my friends that streaming services replacing ownership of things is a trend that only benefits the wealthy. Most of my friends are wealthy tech workers, so they don't see the disadvantages of streaming each time they want to watch something. $5 a pop isn't anything to them. To me, a disabled person on a limited income, $5 a pop adds up fast. It actually works better for me to buy a DVD so I can watch and re-watch content as I want. And I actually own it, so I can make copies, sample it, whatever, under the fair use doctrine.

A lot of commerce is moving to the streaming/sharing/leasing model over the actual ownership of things. I recently read an article that there is a car service that allows use of a car with a subscription fee.

This mode of commerce is fine for those who can afford it, but some of us struggle to put food on the table and can't afford subscriptions to Netflix or Amazon or even cable. "A man talking sense to himself is no madder than a man talking nonsense not to himself."

It can be daunting to try and do reviews. Many of the most active members do a lot of reviews and they are of very high quality. I remember writing my first review and having the daunting task of trying to write an informative and detailed review.

Also, like any other site, participation here requires time that many people cannot afford to spend. Similarly, to write a review you need to be a member of a site, and cost may be prohibitive for some people.

I too would like to see more participation by the porn collecting community, of all genders and orientations, but let's cut people some slack. "A man talking sense to himself is no madder than a man talking nonsense not to himself."

The Democratic Party thinks it has a winning message for the midterms with it's anti-corruption focus. I read that the pace of Donald Trumps public lies has increased from about 4 a day in the first year to over 9 a day now. These are not interpretations of fact, they are flat-out falsehoods.

I remember George W. Bush going to a factory and touted nationally that the owner was hiring. He had hired two employees. Some "Bush Boom."

Bush always touted during the recession that the economy was "turning the corner." The smear campaign against John McCain is disgusting. The man served in Vietnam, a war many refused to fight. He was a prisoner of war, tortured, and eventually released. He has a long, distinguished career as a Senator. He was the Republican candidate for President--ostensibly being the best Republican of them all in 2008.

It's disgusting to smear Senator McCain. The man is suffering from cancer and likely has little time left. Is this the kind of country we've become that it's acceptable to disparage sick people (or poor people)? "A man talking sense to himself is no madder than a man talking nonsense not to himself."

I really feel sorry for Melania and Barron Trump. They aren't guilty of anything, but have to endure all this crap.

And he didn't get Melania more than a card? What a doofus. "A man talking sense to himself is no madder than a man talking nonsense not to himself."

My friends are all very enthusiastic about "Infinity War" and I don't care. I don't see every Marvel movie, as most of them are the same.

I'm pretty sick of Disney and what they've done to both the Marvel and Star Wars franchises. "A man talking sense to himself is no madder than a man talking nonsense not to himself."

Free speech is very dear to Americans. It baffles many people I know abroad that we regard it the first of all our freedoms. "A man talking sense to himself is no madder than a man talking nonsense not to himself."

The league has grown since the 60's.

From Wikipedia:

"From 1942 to 1967, the league had only six teams, collectively (if not contemporaneously) nicknamed the "Original Six". The NHL added six new teams to double its size at the 1967 NHL expansion. The league then increased to 18 teams in 1974 and 21 teams in 1979. In the 1990s, the NHL further expanded to 30 teams, and added its 31st team in 2017."

I was a hockey fan as a kid, when there were only 21 teams. San Jose got its team (The Sharks) in 1991, and I was ecstatic.

There was a big change to the rules in 2005, when they eliminated the "two line pass" rule and allowed players in the defensive zone pass to someone past the red line in the neutral zone. They also allowed tagging up onside, which was previously a stoppage. The game is significantly faster and produces more scoring chances than it did when I was a kid.
