SINCE I NO LONGER HAVE GOT TO LOOK FORWARD TO (NEXT YEAR IS A VERY LONG WAIT), I WILL HAVE TO MAKE DO WATCHING WONDER WOMAN, THE WOMAN OF MY DREAMS. COMING TO REDBOX ON 09/26/2017 (UNCONFIRMED) Wonder Woman, Movie on DVD, Action Movies, Adventure Movies, Sci-Fi & Fantasy Plot: Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, raised on a sheltered island paradise and trained to be an unconquerable warrior. But when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers – and her true destiny. I READ SOMEWHERE THAT THE FAMILY THAT PLAYS TOGETHER STAYS TOGETHER. AND THAT'S WHY I THINK JON AND DANY WILL MAKE A SWELL COUPLE--AND WHO HAS A BETTER CLAIM ON THE THRONE OF WESTEROS THAN JON AND DANY? ALTHOUGH ARYA AND SANSA WOULD ALSO MAKE A CUTE COUPLE. BUT GOT DOES NOT EMPHASIZE THE LEZ BITS VERY MUCH.

REARADMIRAL, I WOULD CONSIDER GETTING A NEW EMAIL ADDRESS. THERE ARE 2 SIMPLE REASONS FOR THIS. I SENT YOU 3 EMAILS TO THE SAME EMAIL ADDRESS. APPARENTLY, YOU ONLY RECEIVED ONE OF THEM. I WAS NOTIFIED BY AUTOMATIC RESPONSE THAT ONE OF MY EMAILS WAS NOT DELIVERED DUE TO A TECHNICAL ISSUE. HOWEVER, YOU SENT ME AT LEAST 2 EMAILS TODAY, I BELIEVE. I OPENED ONE, AND READ IT. POSTED A REPLY ON A PU THREAD. HOWEVER, AND THIS IS VERY STRANGE, WHEN I CHECK MY EMAIL ACCOUNT, THE TWO EMAILS YOU SENT ME (I THINK IT WAS TWO, BUT IT MIGHT ONLY HAVE BEEN ONE), HAVE DISAPPEARED. I DID NOT DELETE THEM. I CHECK MY SPAM BOX AND TRASH BOX, TO SEE IF YOUR EMAIL WAS SOMEHOW TRANSFERRED TO THEM. BUT YOUR EMAIL TO ME HAS DISAPPEARED. STRANGE. I'VE NEVER HAD THIS HAPPEN BEFORE, THAT I AM AWARE OF. IT'S LIKE A MISSION IMPOSSIBLE MOVIE, WHERE THE MESSAGE DETONATES A FEW SECONDS AFTER READING. NO JOKE. YOUR EMAIL(S) TO ME HAVE VANISHED. NOTE: CHECKING FURTHER: IF I BRING UP AN EMAIL I SENT YOU IN RESPONSE OF YOUR EMAIL, THERE IS A HOT LINK THAT I CAN CLICK ON THAT BRINGS UP YOUR EMAIL TO ME. SO: SOMEHOW YOUR EMAIL TO ME IS INCORPORATED INTO MY EMAIL THAT I SENT TO YOU, AND IS NOT LISTED/SHOWN AS A SEPARATE EMAIL SENT TO ME. I DON'T KNOW IS THIS IS AN "IMPROVEMENT" IN MY YAHOO EMAIL ACCOUNT, OR WHAT. BUT IT MAKES FINDING/LISTING EMAILS MORE DIFFICULT, BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT SHOWN SEPARATELY, BUT COMBINED INTO A SINGLE EMAIL LISTING. IF I DON'T OPEN THE EMAIL I SENT TO YOU, I WOULD NOT KNOW THAT YOU SENT ME A PREVIOUS EMAIL--OR ANY EMAIL. I DON'T KNOW IF THIS IS A YAHOO ISSUE, OR WHAT.

READADMIRAL, I SENT YOU AN EMAIL FROM YAHOO SERVER AT 3.49PM (PST). I DID NOT GET A FAILURE-TO-DELIVER AUTOMATED RESPONSE. SO THE EMAIL SHOULD EXIST ON YOUR EMAIL SERVER. SEPARATELY: THIS IS MY BASIC WORK-AROUND. AMAZON ALLOWS YOU TO BUY AMAZON GIFT CARDS WITH YOUR GIFT CARD BALANCE. I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT USING AN AMAZON GIFT CARD TO BUY A DIFFERENT AMAZON GIFT CARD. BUT YOU CAN USE AN AMAZON GIFT CARD BALANCE TO BUY GIFT CARDS FOR DIFFERENT MERCHANTS. THERE IS NO SALES TAX, SHIPPING CHARGE (CHOOSE FREE DELIVERY OPTION), HANDLING CHARGE OR OTHER FEES. I AM AN AMAZON PRIME MEMBER, SO I HAVE THE FREE SHIPPING OPTION. I DON'T KNOW IF YOU HAVE A FREE SHIPPING OPTION. IF YOU DON'T, CHOOSE THE LOWEST PRICED SHIPPING OPTION. AND I WILL DEDUCT THAT AMOUNT FROM THE PAYPAL PAYMENT I SEND YOU. IF YOU BUY 4 $25 GIFT CARDS FOR OLIVE GARDEN, AND HAVE THEM SHIPPED TO ME, YOU CAN CHOOSE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING OPTIONS: 1. I CAN SEND YOU $100 (US) THROUGH PAYPAL, ONCE I RECEIVE THE GIFT CARDS. 2. YOU CAN ASK AMANDA TO GIVE YOU $100 (US OR CANADIAN OR HOWEVER IT WORKS) FROM MY FUTURE RAFFLE WINNINGS. AND I WILL CONFIRM THAT CHOICE TO AMANDA. 3. I DON'T KNOW IF AMAZON (THE US BRANCH) OFFERS GIFT CARDS THAT CAN BE USED IN CANADA. YOU CAN TALK TO AMAZON TO SEE IF YOU CAN BUY US CARDS THAT WILL BE HONORED IN CANADA, IF THERE ARE ANY TAXES OR FEES INVOLVED, WHAT MERCHANTS OFFER THESE GIFT CARDS, ETC. NOTE: I HAVE CHECKED THAT I CAN USE MY AMAZON GIFT CARD BALANCE TO BUY GIFT CARDS FOR DIFFERENT MERCHANTS, SUCH AS OLIVE GARDEN GIFT CARDS. WITH NO FEES INVOLVED (NO TAX, SHIPPING CHARGE, WHATEVER). AND I CAN HAVE THE GIFT CARDS MAILED TO ME, OR TO ANYONE I CHOOSE TO HAVE THEM SENT. BUT YOU SHOULD CHECK JUST TO BE SURE YOU CAN DO THIS WITHOUT ANY FEES. ONCE YOU BUY A CARD, THERE ARE NO RETURNS OR REFUNDS ON THE GIFT CARDS. SO CHECK THAT YOU CAN BUY AN OLIVE GARDEN GIFT CARD AND HAVE IT MAILED TO SOMEONE IN THE US. AND IF THERE ARE ANY FEES INVOLVED, BEYOND THE COST OF THE CARD.

rearadmiral: The email address I used, from the failed PU email private message server, used the same email address you just posted today. I got an automated response that the message was not delivered, due to some technical problem. So I then sent you an email, using the same email address, directly from my Yahoo email account. I did not get an automated message that the email was not delivered. So the email was supposedly delivered to that address. But you state you haven't received any emails from me. I don't want to sound stupid: 1. have you checked your spam folders recently? 2. do you have some program that automatically deletes emails that might be spam? 3. do you have some program that blocks you from receiving emails that might be spam? Because the email address you just posted here at PU, is the same one that the PU email server, and the Yahoo server, both used. Why not try using the PU email server program, to send me an email, and see if that works? I will now try to re-send you an email at the address you posted today, even though it's the same address I already tried sending you twice.

REARADMIRAL, I ALMOST FEEL I KNOW YOU. I SENT YOU AN EMAIL ON MY WORKAROUND SOLUTION TO YOUR AMAZON GIFT CARD PROBLEM TO YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS THAT WAS EXPOSED IN THE AUTOMATED FAILURE TO DELIVER MESSAGE I GOT. I DON'T KNOW IF THAT IS A CURRENTLY VALID EMAIL ADDRESS FOR YOU. TELL ME IF IT IS, WITHOUT PUBLISHING THE ADDRESS IN THIS THREAD. JUST SAY YOU GOT ONE OF MY EMAIL MESSAGES. OR DID NOT GET ANY EMAIL MESSAGE FROM ME.

REARADMIRAL, I GOT A FAILURE TO DELIVER MESSAGE FOR THE EMAIL I TRIED TO SEND YOU THROUGH THE PU EMAIL SERVICE. SO I DON'T KNOW IF YOU DID GET THE EMAIL MESSAGE OR NOT. USE THIS THREAD TO TELL ME IF YOU GOT THE EMAIL I SENT THROUGH THE PU EMAIL SERVICE. THE FAILURE TO DELIVER MESSAGE (AN AUTOMATED RESPONSE) SHOWS YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS--BUT IT'S BAD PRACTICE TO POST SOMEONES EMAIL ADDRESS PUBLICLY. BUT I ASSUME THE ADDRESS IS GOOD, BECAUSE IT SHOULD BE THE SAME EMAIL ADDRESS THAT PU IS USING TO SEND YOU THE AMAZON GIFT CARDS. BUT THE AUTOMATED FAILURE TO DELIVER MESSAGE I GOT STATED: (reason: 550 5.7.0 (SNT004-MC2F51) Unfortunately, messages from (64.59.125.187) on behalf of (yahoo.com) could not be delivered due to domain owner policy restrictions.) WHATEVER THAT MEANS.

I WAS NEVER IN THE ENTERTAINMENT BUSINESS. SO I DON'T HAVE ANY FIRST-HAND KNOWLEDGE. BUT MY IMPRESSION IS THAT PRODUCERS RARELY PUT UP THEIR OWN MONEY: THEY GET BANKS, BUSINESSES, INVESTORS TO PUT UP THE MONEY. AND THE PRODUCERS HAVE VARIOUS WAYS OF MAKING MONEY OFF THE PRODUCT. LIKE YOU SAY, IT'S DOUBTFUL THAT XHAMSTER WOULD BE PUTTING ANY SERIOUS MONEY OF THEIR OWN INTO PRODUCING A NON-PORN SERIES. BUT IF THEY CAN GET BANKS OR BUSINESSES OR PRIVATE INVESTORS TO PAY THE COSTS OF A TV SERIES, THEN THAT WOULD GIVE XHAMSTER THE BRAGGING RIGHTS THAT THEY ARE PRODUCERS. AND MAYBE IT WOULD GIVE THEM ACCESS TO FURTHER FINANCING AND CAPITAL. JON PETERS WAS A HAIR DRESSER WHEN HE FIRST HOOKED UP WITH BARBRA STREISAND. THEN HE BECAME A POWER PLAYER IN HOLLYWOOD USING HER CONNECTIONS AND BACKING. HE'S STILL A POWER PLAYER. SO WHY COULDN'T PORN PRODUCERS/CONTENT THIEVES MAKE IT IN HOLLYWOOD? IF THEY HAVE THE TALENT, AND DRIVE, AND LUCK, MAYBE THEY COULD. THEY CERTAINLY HAD THE DRIVE TO BECOME IMPORTANT PLAYERS IN PORN. NOTE: JUST BECAUSE YOU DON'T LIKE SOMEONE, OR ADMIRE HIS MORALS OR ACTIONS, DOES NOT MEAN HE CAN'T BE A FINANCIAL SUCCESS. LOOK AT TRUMP: A SELF-PROMOTING BRAGGART, WHO'S CASINOS HAVE DECLARED BANKRUPTCY MANY TIMES, WHO MAKES PROMISES HE FAILS TO KEEP, WHO LIED HIS WAY INTO THE WHITE HOUSE. TRUMP IS LOWER THAN A USED CAR SALESMAN. BUT HE BECAME PRESIDENT OF THE U.S. SO WHY CAN'T XHAMPSTER BECOME A PLAYER IN HOLLYWOOD? NETFLIX DID. AMAZON DID. THE CHINESE ARE DOING IT. NETFLIX, AMAZON, AND THE CHINESE ARE USING MONEY. BUT IT'S CHEAPER AND EASIER TO USE OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY. THAT'S ONE OF THE FIRST LESSONS IN WALL STREET. Edited on Aug 24, 2017, 08:59am

NOT ONLY IS THIS DIRECTOR DENIED BAIL, BUT HE IS FORBIDDEN FROM FINISHING THE MOVIE HE IS CURRENTLY DIRECTING. THEY COULD ALSO CHARGE HIM FOR WASTING FUNDS ON A PROJECT HE PROBABLY WON'T BE ALLOWED TO FINISH. AND HE IS FORBIDDEN FROM TALKING TO ANYONE EXCEPT CLOSE RELATIVES AND HIS LEGAL TEAM, WITHOUT THE APPROVAL OF HIS INVESTIGATORS. SOUNDS MORE LIKE HE IS GUILTY OF SPREADING TREASON, INSTEAD OF STEALING $1 MILLION OF STATE FUNDS THAT WERE SUPPOSED TO BE SPENT ON THEATER PROJECTS. AND HOW MUCH MONEY WILL BE LOST IF HE IS UNABLE TO FILM HIS MOVIE? ======= ======= http://variety.com/2017/film/news/studen...t-russia-1202536790/ Variety ‘Student’ Director Kirill Serebrennikov Put Under House Arrest in Russia Robert Mitchell The Student Cannes Film Festival Courtesy of Cannes Film Festival August 23, 2017 | 09:10AM PT Acclaimed Russian director Kirill Serebrennikov has been put under house arrest in Russia pending trial on charges of embezzling state funds. The filmmaker, whose 2016 film “The Student” (pictured) won the Francois Chalais award in the Un Certain Regard section at the Cannes Film Festival in 2016, was arrested in St. Peterburg on Tuesday where he was shooting a new movie about Soviet singer-songwriter Viktor Tsoi. Appearing in a Moscow court Wednesday, Serebrennikov found his request to be freed on bail rejected despite character-witness statements on his behalf from a number of Russian actors and directors, including Fedor Bondarchuk. Serebrennikov pleaded innocent to the charges and told the court he needed to “finish filming a movie.” The decision means he will not be able to return to work on his biopic of rock star Tsoi and is banned from communicating with anyone aside from close relatives and his legal team without investigators’ approval. Serebrennikov is accused of embezzling 68 million rubles ($1.15 million) in state funds, which was intended for a theater project called “Platform,” through his nonprofit organization Seventh Studio between 2011 and 2014. The director and several employees of Seventh Studio were previously detained and questioned by investigators in May. Serebrennikov’s apartment and Moscow’s Gogol Center, where he has served as artistic director since 2012, were both searched at the time. Serebrennikov denies all allegations, calling them “absurd” in court. He says the funds were used to stage genuine productions. His supporters, who chanted “Freedom!” outside the court, contend that the charges against him are part of a government crackdown on artistic freedoms. The board of the European Film Academy called on Russian authorities to release Serebrennikov immediately and to guarantee his artistic freedom. His trial is scheduled to begin Oct. 19. If convicted he could face 10 years in prison. Serebrennikov’s lawyers said they would appeal the decision.

http://www.thewrap.com/sense8-season-3-n...inale-canceled-porn/ The Wrap Porn Site Offers to Produce ‘Sense8’ Season 3 After Netflix Cancellation “We’re not talking about a parody, or something less than, but an actual revival of the series,” xHamster vice president says Ryan Gajewski | August 18, 2017 @ 2:38 PM “Sense8” fans could have an unlikely savior following Netflix’s plans to cancel the Wachowskis’ drama series after two seasons. Porn site xHamster posted an open letter to series co-creators Lana and Lily Wachowski on Wednesday, offering to produce a third season of the show. Netflix announced in June that it will run a two-hour special in 2018 to serve as the finale for “Sense8,” which has earned praise for its strong LGBTQ characters. “We’re not talking about a parody, or something less than, but an actual revival of the series,” xHamster vice president Alex Hawkins wrote. “We know that a series about polymorphous perversity is a hard sell for a mainstream network like Netflix. We have no such limitations, and also understand implicitly the interconnectedness of sexualities across boundaries. In short, we are a we.” Hawkins acknowledged that this may seem to be an “unconventional” fit, but that he would like to set up a meeting with the show’s producers. He touted the company’s “billions of users,” along with pointing out that xHamster continues “to use our audience to speak up against repressive anti-LGBTQ laws in the U.S. and abroad, and for sex ed in public schools, Planned Parenthood and the right of sex workers.” “We know we’re an unlikely home, but five years ago people laughed at the idea of Netflix producing original series,” he continued. “We think that our time, like yours, has come.” This follows Lana’s recent announcement that she is writing a third season of the show, even though no platform is currently planning to air it. A representative for the Wachowskis did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

THE ARTICLE READS LIKE A LOT OF BULLSHIT TO ME. I'M NOT A PSYCHOLOGIST. BUT BACK IN THE DAY, HOMOSEXUALITY AND SELF-ABUSE AND SOME OTHER TYPES OF BEHAVIOR WERE CONSIDERED DEVIANT. BY PSYCHOLOGISTS. NOW, THIS ARTICLE, CLASSIFIES PEOPLE AS RECREATIONAL, COMPULSIVE, AND HIGHLY DISTRESSED NON-COMPULSIVE. RECREATIONAL ARE "NORMAL PEOPLE", 75.5% OF RESPONDENTS, WHO WATCH PORN LESS THAN 24 MINUTES PER WEEK. COMPULSIVE, 11.8% OF THE STUDY RESPONDENTS, WATCH PORN 110 MINUTES PER WEEK. HIGHLY DISTRESSED NON-COMPULSIVE, 12.7% OF THE STUDY RESPONDENTS, WATCH PORN 17 MINUTES PER WEEK. MY GUESS IS THE MOST ACTIVE PU MEMBERS WATCH PORN FAR MORE THAN 110 MINUTES PER WEEK. SO THEY WOULD FIT INTO THE COMPULSIVE CATEGORY. BUT THIS GROUP IS SUPPOSED TO AVOID SEX. WHICH I FIND DIFFICULT TO BELIEVE. UNLESS YOU CONSIDER MASTURBATION A NON-SEXUAL ACTIVITY. AND SEX WITH A PARTNER AS A NON-SEXUAL ACTIVITY. (BECAUSE SOME PU MEMBERS HAVE PARTNERS, WHOM THEY HAVE SEX WITH.) THE ARTICLE, UPON REFLECTION, SEEMS EITHER NAIVE OR HEAD-IN-THE-CLOUDS THEORIZING. JUST MY 2 CENTS. WHY DON'T YOU RUN A POLL ASKING PU MEMBERS WHICH CATEGORY THEY FIT INTO, BASED ON WEEKLY AMOUNT OF TIME SPENT ON PORN? 1. 17 MINUTES PER WEEK. 2. LESS THAN 24 MINUTES PER WEEK. 3. ABOUT 110 MINUTES PER WEEK. 4. OTHER--SEE REPLY TO POLL. ONE PROBLEM WITH THE POLL CATEGORIES: LESS THAN 24 MINUTES PER WEEK IS ONE CATEGORY. 17 MINUTES PER WEEK IS A DIFFERENT CATEGORY. BUT 17 MINUTES PER WEEK SEEMS, TO ME, TO BE A PART OF "LESS THAN 24 MINUTES PER WEEK". Edited on Aug 17, 2017, 12:51pm

PRESIDENT TRUMP DECIDES THAT AMERICA IS ALREADY GREAT. AND DOES NOT NEED BUSINESS COUNCILS TO GIVE HIM ADVICE ON HOW TO STRENGTHEN AMERICAN BUSINESS. ========= ========= http://www.thewrap.com/trump-disbands-2-...rlottesville-outcry/ Trump Disbands CEO Advisory Councils After Charlottesville Outcry Itay Hod | August 16, 2017 @ 10:39 AM Members of President Donald Trump’s Strategic and Policy Forum have agreed to disband following his controversial remarks in which the president seem to equate white supremacists with the protesters who opposed them. Soon after, the president announced via Twitter that he was ending it, along with his Manufacturing Council. “Rather than putting pressure on the businesspeople of the Manufacturing Council & Strategy & Policy Forum, I am ending both. Thank you all!” The move comes as Trump faces backlash over his tepid response to a violent white supremacist rally over the weekend, which left one woman and two police officers dead and and 19 people wounded when a car plowed into a group of anti-fascist counter protesters. “The thinking was it was important to do as a group,” a member of the council told CNBC. “As a panel, not as individuals because it would have more significant impact. It makes a central point that it’s not going to go forward. It’s done.” On Wednesday morning, Stephen Schwarzman, the chief executive of the Blackstone Group, organized a conference call for members of the president’s Strategic and Policy Forum. The execs then decided to leave the council, according to the New York Times.

NEWSPAPERS HAVE SPECULATED ON THE SUBJECT FOR MONTHS. CRAIG SAID HE'S KNOWN FOR MONTHS THAT HE WOULD RETURN. SO WHY THE F*** DIDN'T HE ADMIT IT BEFORE? WHEN SO MANY SOURCES WERE SPECULATING AND ASKING IF HE WOULD RETURN? INSTEAD, HE JUST TEASED IN INTERVIEWS THERE WERE ISSUES ABOUT CONTINUING IN THE ROLE. AND THAT IT WASN'T ABOUT MONEY. IT WAS OTHER FACTORS. ALL THIS TEASING ABOUT WILL HE, WON'T HE RETURN? BOY, ISN'T CRAIG HANDSOME. AND MYSTERIOUS. AND TEASING. SUCH A HUNK. DUNK HIM IN CEMENT, AND DROP HIM IN A NEW JERSEY LANDFILL. THAT'S WHAT PRISSY ACTORS DESERVE. THE GOOD OLD MAFIA--AT LEAST THEY HAD A REASON TO DENY THINGS. EARLIER THAT SAME DAY, CRAIG SAID IN AN INTERVIEW THAT NO DECISION HAD BEEN MADE (ON WHETHER HE WOULD RETURN AS JAMES BOND IN THE NEXT FILM). THEN, LATER THAT DAY, HE SAID HE'S KNOWN FOR MONTHS THAT HE WOULD RETURN. POINT OF FACT: IF NO DECISION HAD BEEN MADE, THEN HOW COULD HE KNOW THAT HE WOULD RETURN? BECAUSE HE'S A BULLSHITTER, THAT'S WHY. "I'd rather break this glass and slash my wrists," the star told Time Out London in 2015 of a possible return to the role. ===== ===== http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vi...es-bond-role-1030056 The Hollywood Reporter August 15, 2017 9:03pm PT by Patrick Shanley Daniel Craig Confirms Return to James Bond Role The actor told 'Late Show' host Stephen Colbert that he will be returning for his fifth film as the famous spy in 'Bond 25.' The actor told 'Late Show' host Stephen Colbert that he will be returning for his fifth film as the famous spy in 'Bond 25.' James Bond fans were shaken and stirred Tuesday night. Daniel Craig officially confirmed he will return to the role of Agent 007 in the upcoming Bond 25 on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday. Craig had previously been attached to the project by reports from the New York Times and others, but never confirmed personally — until his appearance on Colbert's show. "Yes," Craig told Colbert point-blank, when asked if he will return as the secret agent. He said he's known he would reprise the role for "a couple of months" now. "We've been discussing it, we've just been trying to figure things out," he explained, adding, "I always wanted to, I needed a break." He also confirmed that it would be the last time he would tackle the iconic role, saying, "I just want to go out on a high note, and I can't wait." Craig earlier Tuesday morning told a Boston radio program, "I'd hate to burst the bubble, but no decision has been made at the moment. There's a lot of noise out there and nothing official has been confirmed and I'm not, like, holding out for more money or doing anything like that. It's just all very personal decisions to be made at the moment," Craig said on Morning Magic 106.7. "I know they're desperate to get going and I would in theory love to do it, but there is no decision just yet." Craig referenced these earlier interviews during his appearance on The Late Show saying, "I have to apologize to all the people I've done interviews with today, because I wanted to tell you," referring to Colbert. Craig has been playing Agent 007 since 2006's Casino Royale, and has since starred in three other Bond films: 2008's Quantum of Solace, 2012's Skyfall and 2015's Spectre. Craig made headlines following the release of the latter for making negative comments about the possibility of continuing the role. "I'd rather break this glass and slash my wrists," the star told Time Out London in 2015 of a possible return to the role. In regards to his comments, he told Colbert, "There's no point making excuses about it, but it was two days after I had finished shooting the last movie and I went straight to an interview where someone asked, 'Would you do another one?' and I went, 'No!'" He added that instead of saying something "with style and grace" he said he gave "a really stupid answer." Recently, Craig has seemed to have softened his outlook toward reprising the role, however. The franchise has flourished with Craig in the lead, with Spectre earning $880 million worldwide and 2012's Skyfall earning more than $1.1 billion. The as-of-yet untitled Bond 25 was officially announced by EON Productions and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer last month with a slated Nov. 8, 2019 release date. Lauren Huff contributed to this report.

PRESIDENT TRUMP SAYS BOTH GEORGE WASHINGTON AND THOMAS JEFFERSON WERE SLAVEOWNERS. SO, MAYBE, HE IS IMPLYING THAT WE STILL HAVE THE RIGHT TO OWN SLAVES? AND THAT MAYBE RACISM IS OK, IF IT LEADS TO A BETTER, STRONGER AMERICA. ESPECIALLY IF THE RACISTS ARE TRUMP SUPPORTERS. ====== ====== http://variety.com/2017/tv/columns/donal...e-column-1202528998/ Variety Donald Trump’s Rant Proves He Doesn’t Care About Most Americans (Column) TV Critic Sonia Saraiya TV Critic @soniasaraiya Trump Press Conference AP/REX/Shutterstock August 15, 2017 | 05:07PM PT Confusingly, President Donald Trump engaged with history from his bully pulpit during his press conference on Tuesday. Speaking from the gilded lobby of Trump Tower in New York City, Trump attempted to take questions about infrastructure, and instead was met with a chorus of questions about his response to the Aug. 12 fracas in Charlottesville, Va., in which self-proclaimed white supremacists and neo-Nazis violently descended on the college town for two days of fighting that ended with three dead. Trump pivoted, in just half an hour, from his strongest condemnation of the perpetrators yet to a defensive, scattershot breakdown that blamed “both sides” for the violence. During that denouement, he tried to complicate the issue of Confederate monuments in America by throwing out that both George Washington and Thomas Jefferson were slaveowners. It was so unlike Trump to call to historical fact that it was a little destabilizing — an almost nuanced argument about how to reclaim history, albeit one that seems to not understand that unlike Jefferson and Washington, Robert E. Lee decided not just to own slaves but to stake his life and reputation on commanding an army battling for the right to keep slaves, across the South, forever. It would be terrifyingly and mind-numbingly simple for Trump to acknowledge that racism is bad and move on. But no; he has to get into it. Following events in Charlottesville that struck a nerve for many Americans because it looked like a Nazi rally, except on American soil, Trump’s tack is to needle and pick at American history. It is not new that the president has little regard for the truth — specifically, for those facts that do not personally satisfy him. This feeds directly into a bullying disdain of the press, who in his mind are uncovering material inconvenient to him. Trump’s self-delusion about “fake news” is something impossible to understand; for an incredibly media-savvy man, his capacity for self-deception is simply unparalleled. But even though it is expected, it is alarming to watch the president of the United States use excoriating language about the assembled journalists as if it were transitional filler, like “um” or “anyway” — laying into the press corps, indiscriminately, with accusations that they don’t report facts or are unfair or biased or false. It’s also not new that the president only cares to serve his base. His inauguration speech, written by Stephen Miller and Steve Bannon, actually used the words “America first” in an unabashed and polarizing pander to his white nationalist core supporters. Trump doesn’t really see himself as the president of America, but instead as the perpetual winner; he has no idea what public service looks like. And yet it is still alarming and disheartening to see it all in action. In Tuesday’s press conference, Trump presented peak Trumpism; he rejected a much-documented, incredibly obvious phenomenon for a narrative more convenient to him, which he quite possibly made up on the spot, because it feels better to him. It is impossible to deny Trump’s force of personality, which briefly makes nearly any claim appear plausible. What undercuts Trump’s charisma is how blatantly self-serving he is, at all times. He could not even end the press conference without sneaking in a reference to one of his properties — while standing in the lobby of another and coming off of a vacation at a third. Observers of the media have said time and again that Trump is a kind of wizard with his own brand management, and I don’t disagree. But it is fascinating how even here, with the simplest possible path to uniting and inspiring most Americans, he just can’t do it. To be sure, Trump is a racist — he waged a racist war against President Obama, called Mexicans “rapists,” has plans to build a wall on the border, and did his best in the first days of his term to ban Muslim immigration — but you can be a racist and still condemn white supremacy. Trump does not care about unity. His skill is in provoking and antagonizing most of us, and in satisfying the mean-spirited impulses of others, and in keeping his name in the papers. He’s like the Jerry Springer of presidents, where America is the crying family on the couch; he knows how to tear us apart, but like all the king’s horses and all the king’s men, he doesn’t know how to put us back together again. Watching that press conference is watching a president who doesn’t care about most Americans. Overwhelming disgust at the neo-Nazi rally only seems to strengthen his resolve to defend some “very fine people” who he insists where “innocently” protesting. Trump’s approval rating is the lowest it’s ever been and he is so put off by the onslaught of bad press about him that he has taken to relying on two packets of positive propaganda, presented to him in the morning and afternoon. The message is clear: Trump isn’t there to make us happy; we’re here to make him happy. The look on his face, at the press conference Tuesday afternoon, suggests we aren’t doing a good enough job. THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION IS DEMANDING DATA ON ALL VISITORS TO AN ANTI-TRUMP SITE. OBVIOUSLY, IF YOU HAVE VISITED THE SITE, AND THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION IS ABLE TO IDENTIFY YOU (THRU EMAIL ADDRESS, PHOTOS, ETC.), THEN YOU WOULD BE CONSIDERED A RADICAL SYMPATHISER WHO SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED OR PUT IN JAIL. TRUMP IS OUR LEADER. BOW DOWN BEFORE HIM, OR FACE THE CONSEQUENCES!!! ======== ======== http://www.zdnet.com/article/trump-gover...84754384421679931766 Trump administration demands data on over a million visitors to anti-Trump site The EFF, representing Dreamhost in the case, called the Justice Dept's order 'unconstitutional'. Zack Whittaker By Zack Whittaker for Zero Day | August 15, 2017 -- 01:00 GMT (18:00 PDT) | Topic: Security The Trump administration is demanding web host provider Dreamhost turn over the logs of over 1.3 million visitors to an anti-Trump website it hosts, the company has revealed. News of the Justice Department order landed Monday when the company took an unusual step of announcing that it had been in talks with the government to clarify and narrow the search warrant in an effort to comply, but had failed to reach an amicable resolution. The order demanded that the company provide "all information available", including its owner and its visitors, of a political activism and protest organizing website against the current Trump administration, the web host said in a blog post. The website, known as DisruptJ20, is a political organization that planned a mass protest for the inauguration of then president-elect Donald Trump in January. Several purported members of the organization were arrested for alleged violent conduct during the protests. The specific information that prosecutors want isn't known as the affidavit for the search warrant remains under seal. Dreamhost has however confirmed the order demanded the company hand over "contact information, email content, and photos of thousands of people," to determine "who simply visited the website," the company said. The company argued that the data, including logs and specific identifiable information, will allow the government to build a comprehensive list of names who oppose the Trump administration. Specifically, the company argued that the warrant "not only aims to identify the political dissidents of the current administration, but attempts to identify and understand what content each of these dissidents viewed on the website." "That information could be used to identify any individuals who used this site to exercise and express political speech protected under the Constitution's First Amendment," the blog post read. Dreamhost as a result filed its opposition to the order late last month, arguing that the search warrant "violates" the Fourth Amendment against unreasonable searches and seizures. The Electronic Frontier Foundation, a privacy group currently representing Dreamhost, said in a statement that the Justice Dept's order was "unconstitutional". "No plausible explanation exists for a search warrant of this breadth, other than to cast a digital dragnet as broadly as possible," said Mark Rumold, a senior staff attorney. "But the Fourth Amendment was designed to prohibit fishing expeditions like this," he said. "Those concerns are especially relevant here, where [Justice Dept] is investigating a website that served as a hub for the planning and exercise of First Amendment-protected activities." A hearing is scheduled in a Washington DC court on Friday.

http://www.zdnet.com/article/open-letter...84754384421679931766 Open Letter: Seriously, Roomba, now you're spying on us? It's not just that iRobot might sell maps of our homes, it's the security implications of what can happen if this oh-so-private information gets into the wrong hands. David Gewirtz By David Gewirtz for ZDNet Government | July 26, 2017 -- 12:46 GMT (05:46 PDT) | Topic: Security The following is an open letter to iRobot CEO Colin Angle. His company makes the very popular Roomba robotic vacuum cleaner. On Monday, ZDNet's Jake Smith wrote about iRobot's intention to sell mapping data from customers' homes to other companies. Dear Colin, One of the ways Webster defines "dear" is "highly valued" or "precious." So when I start a letter with "Dear Colin," you could interpret my statement as saying I highly value our relationship. But the fact is, we've never met and I'm just using a commonly accepted way of starting a letter. This is relevant to our discussion because you've recently talked about taking from your customers information that is dear to them, even though you've never met most of the people who enjoy the benefits of your products. When your customers buy your products, there are some common expectations. It looks like you may be thinking about or trying to violate those expectations. By extension, it's looking like you might be violating the trust given to you by your customers. Even worse, you could be opening the door to security risks that are far worse than they would be worth, just so you can make a few extra bucks on the side. In a recent Reuters interview, you talked about the value of mapping data, both for doing the job of cleaning a room, and for understanding the environment where Internet-connected things need to interoperate. So far, I'm with you. While you didn't dive into technical details in that interview, I can definitely infer from your comments how a robot given free roaming privileges in a home or office space might build up a map of that space. With good sensors, it might even be able to place the exact location of other smart devices on that map. And, by combining image analysis with radar or sonar, and with radio signal analysis, a room-roaming robot might be able to derive a useful representation of an environment. That data could be used to help maximize lighting, tune sound, optimize microphones, determine when people or pets are in a space, and help conserve energy. All that is good. I can even see how you might want to develop interoperability with the other big players in the home space, whether that's Amazon and Alexa, Apple, Google (particularly for Google Home), and others. The tech industry has a long and well-regarded history of building APIs and inter-app communication protocols (XML and JSON come to mind) for creating systems that are greater than each of the individual components. If you want to work with Apple, Amazon, and Google -- with our permission to use our private information, of course -- to help create better home automation environments, I'm good with that. But here's the thing that has the whole internet a-flutter. Apparently, you're trying to sell that mapping data. I understand that iRobot is a smaller company than any of the big three, but once you get into the mode of selling data, the potential for abuse rears its oh-so-ugly head. After all, if you're just developing good interop, there's no reason to look at selling that mapping data. But when you're talking about selling data that describes our homes to companies like Amazon and Google -- companies that thrive on being able to get inside our heads and our wallets -- something far more disturbing comes to mind. You're no longer mapping our homes to make sure you don't tear out a power cord or fall down a flight of stairs. You're moving into the realm of spying on your customers. In your case, though, it's far worse than those stories of possible always-on webcams or TV sets. See, none of those other devices can move around the house on their own power. If my TV is in the living room, I know it's there. If I'm concerned about my privacy, I'm probably not going to parade my naked butt in front of it. But a Roomba can decide to wake itself up, it can wander around the house, it can measure, map, and with your onboard camera, even take pictures. What would you do with the pictures your Roomba snags? Would you send them to Amazon's or Google's machine learning so they can develop an inventory of our possessions? What could they do with that information? It's not just a worry that they might discover I like coffee and pitch me on better coffee beans. It's that they might learn about medical conditions, lifestyle choices, or anything else we want to keep private. Where would that information go? Would you give it up to the government if you got a National Security Letter or subpoena? Now, at least, if our houses are searched by a government entity, we'd have a pretty good chance of knowing because someone will have to enter with a warrant. But if your robots are spending their days mapping, snapping, and spying, will we even know who our data is shared with? And what about foreign or terrorist organizations? How good can spear phishing get if the bad guys truly know our interests and our home environments? You might not know you're selling data to ISIS or Iran, or even China. The concept of a front company has been around for a very long time. Sure, we live in a time where selfies and YouTube and Facebook and Instagram mean we voluntarily give up enormous levels of privacy. But that's our choice, even if it might be a foolish one. But here's where you might be going wrong. If you're asking for permission to map homes to provide better service capabilities, that's one thing. But if you're capturing all that data, storing it on your own servers, and then selling it to any random buyer that comes along, then you're spying. I know you're familiar with Isaac Asimov's Three Laws of Robots. But for our readers, let's recap them here: A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Laws. I know you're familiar with these laws because you chose to name your company, iRobot, after the classic book in which Asimov's Laws debuted, I, Robot. Colin, by potentially selling or sharing information about our lifestyles that is dear to us, you may well be violating the First Law. And if you know your Asimov, you know that won't end well.

A bride tells her husband, "Honey, you know I'm a virgin and I don't know anything about sex. Can you explain it to me first?" "Okay, sweetheart. Putting it simply, we will call your private place 'the prison' and call my private thing 'the prisoner'. So what we do is put the prisoner in the prison." And they made love for the first time and the husband was smiling with satisfaction. Nudging him, his bride giggles, "Honey the prisoner seems to have escaped." Turning on his side, he smiles and says, "Then we will have to re-imprison him." After the second time, the bride says, "Honey, the prisoner is out again!" The husband rises to the occasion and they made love again. The bride again says, "Honey, the prisoner escaped again," to which the husband yelled, "Hey, it's not a life sentence!!!"

A few months after his parents were divorced, little Johnny passed by his mom's bedroom and saw her rubbing her body and moaning, "I need a man, I need a man!" Over the next couple of months, he saw her doing this several times. One day, he came home from school and heard her moaning. When he peeked into her bedroom, he saw a man on top of her. Little Johnny ran into his room, took off his clothes, threw himself on his bed, started stroking himself, and moaning, "Ohh, I need a bike! I need a bike!"

Sarah goes to school, and the teacher says, "Today we are going to learn multi-syllable words, class. Does anybody have an example of a multi-syllable word?" Sarah waves her hand, "Me, Miss Rogers, me, me!" Miss Rogers says, "All right, Sarah, what is your multi-syllable word?" Sarah says, "Mas-tur-bate." Miss Rogers smiles and says, "Wow, Sarah, that's a mouthful." Sarah says, "No, Miss Rogers, you're thinking of a blowjob."

A man and woman had been married for 30 years, and in those 30 years, they always left the lights off when having sex. He was embarrassed and scared that he couldn't please her, so he always used a big dildo on her. All these years she had no clue. One day, she decided to reach over and flip the light switch on and saw that he was using a dildo. She said "I knew it, asshole, explain the dildo!" He said, "Explain the kids!"

GEORGE MARTIN ADMITS THAT WINTER IS HERE. GEORGE ALSO SAYS THERE ARE FALSE STORIES ABOUT HIM SITTING ON THE NEXT BOOK. IS GEORGE HOLDING THE BOOK FOR RANSOM, HOPING THAT FANS WILL PAY EVEN MORE FOR THE NEXT CHAPTER? SHAME ON GEORGE! GEORGE ADMITS FANS CAN DREAM. MAYBE WE SHOULD RISE IN REVOLT, AND STRING GEORGE UP BY HIS THUMBS, UNTIL HE GIVES US THE NEXT BOOK ALREADY. ===== ===== George R.R. Martin Says ‘Winds of Winter’ Could Hit Shelves in 2018 Joe Otterson TV Reporter @JoeOtterson July 24, 2017 | 09:21AM PT George R.R. Martin gave fans another update on his long-awaited next installment in the “Song of Ice and Fire” novel series. “I’ve seen some truly weird reports about [‘Winds of Winter’] on the internet of late, by ‘journalists’ who make their stories up out of whole cloth,” Martin wrote on his Livejournal. “I don’t know which story is more absurd, the one that says the book is finished and I’ve been sitting on it for some nefarious reason, or the one that says I have no pages. Both ‘reports’ are equally false and equally moronic. I am still working on it, I am still months away (how many? good question), I still have good days and bad days, and that’s all I care to say.” Martin also said that he is working on a two-volume history of Westeros’ history under the Targaryen dynasty, which is currently titled “Fire and Blood,” with most of the book already “largely written.” “Whether WINDS or the first volume of FIRE AND BLOOD will be the first to hit the bookstores is hard to say at this juncture, but I do think you will have a Westeros book from me in 2018… and who knows, maybe two. A boy can dream,” he said. He cautioned fans by saying that no publication date has been set for “Fire and Blood” at this point, though he expects volume one to be published in 2018 or early 2019. Fans have been waiting for “Winds of Winter” since the publication of “A Dance with Dragons” in 2011. Even if the new book is published in 2018, it will still be the longest gap between publications of any novels in the series. The novels serve as the basis for the hit HBO show “Game of Thrones,” with each season roughly corresponding to each novel. However, the show has now surpassed the storyline in the books and will more than likely conclude before Martin publishes what is planned to be the seventh and final novel in the series.

YOU USE CCBILL, AND EPOCH, AND PAYPAL. THOSE ARE EXCELLENT PAYMENT OPTIONS. YOU HAVE A LOT OF GOOD-LOOKING MODELS. I'M NOT A MEMBER, BUT I WILL KEEP YOU IN MIND, FOR A FUTURE JOIN.

IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY READ THE TBP REVIEW OF YOUR SITE, YOU CAN FIND IT AT: https://www.thebestporn.com/review/lasublimexxx/ THE REVIEW IS PRETTY POSITIVE. IT BASICALLY SAYS THE SITE IS WORTH JOINING. ONE NEGATIVE THE REVIEW STATES IS THERE IS NO DOWNLOADING OF VIDEOS, AND ALSO NO ZIP FILE OF EACH PHOTO SET FOR DOWNLOADING. I REALIZE THAT IT TAKES EXTRA BANDWIDTH TO ALLOW DOWNLOADING, AND EXTRA WORK TO CREATE A ZIP FILE FOR EACH PHOTO SET, BUT MOST PU MEMBERS WANT THE ABILITY TO DOWNLOAD. AND ARE USUALLY WILLING TO PAY EXTRA FOR THAT PRIVILEGE--IF THE SITE ITSELF CHARGES EXTRA FOR DOWNLOADING. I'M NOT A PROFESSIONAL PORN DISTRIBUTOR. BUT I DON'T SEE THE VALUE OF STREAMING ONLY FOR VIDEOS OR PHOTO SETS, AS A MEANS OF COMBATING PIRACY. BECAUSE THERE ARE PROGRAMS THAT CAN CAPTURE A STREAMING VIDEO FROM A SITE. AND PROGRAMS THAT CAN COLLECT ALL THE PHOTOS IN A GALLERY, TO MAKE A ZIP FILE OF THE PHOTO SET. (I DON'T BOTHER WITH THOSE PROGRAMS, BECAUSE THE SITES I JOIN ALMOST ALWAYS HAVE DOWNLOADING PRIVILEGES. AND I'M NOT A PIRATE. I WILLINGLY PAY TO JOIN PORN PAY SITES--OR REALIZE THAT MY PAYMENT SUPPORTS THE SITES I JOIN.) BUT FROM A COMMON SENSE VIEW, I DON'T BELIEVE THAT STREAMING ONLY PROTECTS A SITE FROM PIRACY. BUT I DO REALIZE THAT DOWNLOADING PRIVILEGES CAN MAKE A SITE MORE EXPENSIVE TO OPERATE. EXCEPT THAT ALMOST ALL PORN PAY SITE OFFER BOTH STREAMING AND DOWNLOADING PRIVILEGES. BUT THE NEWER MODEL FOR A FEW SITES, IS TO CHARGE EXTRA FOR THE DOWNLOADING PRIVILEGE.

I'M JUST A REGULAR PU MEMBER, SO THESE ARE MY OWN THOUGHTS: THERE IS ALREADY A REVIEW OF LASUBLIMEXXX AT THEBESTPORN.COM, WHICH IS A SISTER SITE OF PU. PU REVIEWS ARE WRITTEN BY PU MEMBERS. ON A VOLUNTARY BASIS. SO ANY PU MEMBER WHO IS ALSO A MEMBER OF LASUBLIMEXXX CAN WRITE A REVIEW OF LASUBLIMEXXX AND IT WILL BE PUBLISHED AT THE PU SITE. AS FAR AS STREAMING AND DOWNLOADING, MOST PU MEMBERS PREFER THE SITES THEY JOIN TO HAVE BOTH STREAMING AND DOWNLOADING PRIVILEGES. TRIALS ARE A NICE, INEXPENSIVE WAY TO SAMPLE A SITE. BUT IT'S UP TO THE SITE ITSELF TO OFFER WHATEVER TRIALS THEY WANT. FULL TRIAL, OR LIMITED TRIAL. MOST PU MEMBERS ARE HAPPY TO SEE INPUT FROM WEBMASTERS, BECAUSE IT INDICATES THE SITE WANTS TO KEEP THEIR MEMBERS HAPPY, AND ARE RESPONSIVE TO THE MEMBER CONCERNS. SO IT'S GREAT THAT YOU ARE REACHING OUT TO PU.

I LISTED THAT SITE ON THE PU "SITES NOT LISTED" THREAD BACK IN DECEMBER. BUT SOME OF THESE SITES DON'T SEEM TO WANT A PU LISTING. BECAUSE I DON'T SEE IT LISTED AT PU YET. I SAW ONE VIDEO AT LA NEW GIRLS THAT WAS REALLY HOT. THE MODEL NAMED ERIN. SHE'S YOUNG, BLONDE, VERY ATTRACTIVE. THE VIDEOS ARE PROFESSIONALLY SHOT. ALL THE VIDEOS FOLLOW THE SAME SCRIPT, SO THE VIDEOS CAN GET REPETITIOUS: A MALE VOICE-OVER STATES THAT A MODEL IS COMING, THE MODEL COMES INTO THE ROOM, THE GUY ASKS FOR MODEL'S ID (TO ESTABLISH SHE'S LEGAL AGE), THEN THE GUY POSES AND PHOT0S THE GIRL, THEN SEGUES INTO A BLOWJOB AND SEX. SAME GUY, SAME SCRIPT EACH VIDEO. IS THE SITE WORTH A ONE-MONTH JOIN? IT DEPENDS ON HOW MUCH YOU WILL ENJOY THE VIDEOS. THE ONE VIDEO THAT I THOUGHT REALLY HOT, WITH ERIN, WAS ALMOST WORTH THE PRICE OF ADMISSION. BUT NONE OF THE OTHER VIDEOS I SAW CAME CLOSE. NOTE: THE SITE SEEMS TO HAVE EXPANDED ITS OFFERINGS SINCE I WAS A MEMBER. THEY NOW OFFER TO SELL THE ACTUAL SHOES WORN BY SOME OF THE MODELS AT THEIR PORN AUDITION. ANYWHERE FROM $450 TO $500 FOR EACH PAIR OF SHOES. (I DON'T KNOW HOW THEY WILL AUTHENTICATE THE SHOES, BECAUSE THE MODEL IS NOT INCLUDED WITH THE PURCHASE.) FOR SHOE FETISHISTS, I GUESS. OR RABID FANS OF THE MODEL? THE SITE ALSO SELLS "SWAG": A TRUCKER HAT, WITH LA NEW GIRLS LOGO ON THE CAP; COFFEE CUP WITH LOGO, SOCKS WITH LOGO, TANK TOP WITH LOGO. SO YOU COULD DRESS YOUR WIFE OR GIRL FRIEND WITH THE ITEM, AND PRETEND SHE'S YOUR MODEL-DATE-WHATEVER? Edited on Jul 17, 2017, 09:19pm

I'M NOT A CURRENT MEMBER OF VIVTHOMAS. BUT IT'S PART OF THE METART NETWORK, AND I HAVE BEEN A MEMBER OF MOST OF THEIR SITES. NONE OF THE METART SITES I'VE BELONGED TO HAS DRM. SO I DOUBT THAT VIVTHOMAS HAS DRM. ACTUALLY, IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE ANY SITE I'VE JOINED HAS DRM. IT USED TO BE COMMON, BUT NO LONGER. THERE MIGHT BE SITES STILL USING IT, BUT THEY WOULD BE IN THE MINORITY. THAT MIGHT BE ONE REASON WHY REVIEWS NO LONGER REPORT ON WHETHER A SITE HAS DRM: BECAUSE SO FEW SITES USE IT ANY MORE.

https://thinkprogress.org/man-faces-life...f-candy-401b24ace012 ThinkProgress Judd Legum Editor-In-Chief, ThinkProgress Apr 3, 2016 Man Faces Life In Prison For Stealing $31 Worth Of Candy A New Orleans man could spend the rest of his life in jail after allegedly shoving “$31 worth of candy bars into his pockets at a Dollar General store.” The man, 34-year-old Jacobia Grimes, is being charged by prosecutors under the state’s “habitual-offender law.” Grimes has five prior convictions for theft. All of Grimes convictions “involved thefts of less than $500.” His last conviction was for stealing “some socks and trousers.” Grimes appeared in court last week and pled not guilty. He faces a potential sentence of 20 years to life. He has already spent 9 years in jail for his previous convictions. The decision to come down hard on Grimes met a skeptical audience from Judge Franz Zibilich, who is overseeing the case. “It’s not even funny, 20 years to life for a Snickers bar, or two or three or four,” Zibilich said. If Grimes is found guilty, Louisiana law could leave Zibilich little discretion over the sentence. Louisiana’s habitual offender law has been in place for 30 years. The result has been that “[s]entences of several decades, or even life, for nonviolent crimes are not unusual in Louisiana.” In other states, individuals convicted of similar crimes “would have received a much shorter sentence or no jail time at all.” Grimes’ case is an example of how Louisiana became the “world’s prison capital.” A 2012 expose by The Times-Picayune found that the state imprisons more of its citizens than any other states and its incarceration rate is “nearly five times Iran’s, 13 times China’s and 20 times Germany’s.” A major factor driving Louisiana’s massive inmate population is money. Each prisoner costs Lousiana an average of $18,800 per year. Sending Grimes to prison for 20 years would cost the state around $376,000. “A majority of Louisiana inmates are housed in for-profit facilities, which must be supplied with a constant influx of human beings or a $182 million industry will go bankrupt,” The Times-Picayune reported.

A PAC OR SUPERPAC MAY BE LEGALIZED MONEY LAUNDERING. BUT A CHARITABLE NON-PROFIT SOUNDS EVEN BETTER. WHAT IS BETTER THAN A CHRISTIAN NON-PROFIT CHARITY THAT BENEFITS YOUR OWN FAMILY MEMBERS? $60 MILLION SPENT ON SALARIES, LOANS, ETC. TO BENEFIT A LAWYER AND HIS FAMILY. AND, QUOTE: Sekulow approved plans in 2009 - at the height of the recession - "to push poor and jobless people to donate money to his Christian nonprofit." CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME. THIS LAWYER USES A CHRISTIAN CHARITY TO PAY HIMSELF AND HIS FAMILY OVER $60 MILLION. AND IT'S LEGAL. THE IRS HAS CONDUCTED AUDITS OF THIS CHRISTIAN NON-PROFIT CHARITY, AND FOUND IT TO BE IN FULL COMPLIANCE OF ALL TAX LAWS. THE RICH ARE DIFFERENT FROM YOU AND I. THEY CAN SWINDLE THE POOR AND JOBLESS, AND GET AWAY WITH IT. WITHOUT LEGAL TRAINING, OR LEGAL SMARTS, IF YOU TAKE EVEN $100, YOU CAN BE SENT TO JAIL OR PRISON FOR YEARS. BUT WITH LEGAL TRAINING, YOU CAN TAKE $60 MILLION, AND CALL IT CHARITY.

https://amp.businessinsider.com/jay-seku...fit-to-family-2017-6 Trump's new lawyer reportedly steered more than $60 million from his nonprofit to family members Peter Jacobs Jun 27, 2017, 12:01 PM ET A nonprofit run by Jay Sekulow steered millions of dollars to his family members, according to a report in The Guardian published Tuesday. Sekulow is one of President Donald Trump's lawyers and has emerged as the public face of his legal team. He also runs a nonprofit called Christian Advocates Serving Evangelism, or Case. Its sister organization is the American Center for Legal Justice. The Guardian obtained documents that it said showed that Sekulow approved plans in 2009 - at the height of the recession - "to push poor and jobless people to donate money to his Christian nonprofit." Guardian reporter Jon Swaine also found that Case had pushed "more than $60m to Sekulow, his family, and their businesses" since 2000. Sekulow and his family may be in violation of a federal law prohibiting nonprofits from paying "excessive benefits" to the people running them, according to experts who spoke to The Guardian. Here are some parts of the nonprofit that stood out, according to The Guardian: Millions of dollars in donations were used to pay Sekulow, his wife, his sons, and his extended family. A law firm co-owned by Sekulow and a production company he owns were paid tens of millions of dollars by Case. Case provided "a series of unusual loans and property deals" to Sekulow and his family. "I can't imagine this situation being acceptable," Arthur Rieman, a managing attorney at The Law Firm for Nonprofits, in California, told The Guardian. "That kind of money is practically unheard of in the nonprofit world, and these kinds of transactions I could never justify." Sekulow's spokesman, Gene Kapp, sent this statement to The Guardian: "The financial arrangements between the ACLJ, Case and all related entities are regularly reviewed by outside independent compensation experts and have been determined to be reasonable. In addition, each entity has annual independent outside audits performed by certified public accounting firms. Further, the IRS has previously conducted audits of the ACLJ and Case and found them to be in full compliance of all applicable tax laws."
