On Amazon, in the product description, it says: "Novelty use only."

They also say: "Made from phthalate-free PVC. Persons with allergies to latex, PVC, or urethane should not use this product."

Does that mean Big Ben is only to be admired visually, but there's a problem if you try to use it otherwise?

I never realized how complicated sex could be.

What are they going to re-name Big Ben? Big Liz? The people of London (and the rest of the United Kingdom) should riot in the streets, and the castles, over this outrage. Big Ben is a man, with a man's bell-like voice. Will they also change the bell inside to produce a feminine squeak?

Shame on Parliament. And shame on the Queen.

London's Big Ben clock tower to be renamed Elizabeth Tower

ReutersReuters – 1 hr 6 mins ago

LONDON (Reuters) - Britain's landmark Big Ben clock tower adjoining the Houses of Parliament will be renamed "Elizabeth Tower" to mark Queen Elizabeth's 60th year on the throne, a parliamentary official said on Tuesday.

The announcement follows four days of celebrations earlier this month to mark the 86-year-old queen's Diamond Jubilee, only the second to be celebrated by a British monarch.

"The House of Commons (parliament) commission welcomed the proposal to rename the clock tower Elizabeth Tower in recognition of Her Majesty the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and will arrange for this decision to be implemented in an appropriate manner in due course," a House of Commons spokesman said.

The ornate, 96-metre high neo-Gothic tower features four gilded clockfaces, and was completed in 1859. The tower took its name Big Ben from the giant bell inside, which chimes the famous bongs heard around London's Whitehall government district.

"I think it is a fitting tribute to the Queen and the service she has given to our country in this jubilee year," Prime Minister David Cameron's spokesman quoted the prime minister as saying.

I know that smoking could be considered a niche in porn. But in most of the porn sites I've visited, there is very little to no smoking in the photos or videos. I mean, glamor photo sites like Metart, MPL Studios, Femjoy. Or hardcore video sites like the Teen Mega World network, Diesel network, Royal Cash network.

Smoking used to be very common in mainstream movies years ago, but it's much less common in movies today. Smoking is one of the factors that determines the rating of a mainstream movie, along with drug use, sex, and violence.

But unless you're looking for it specifically, you don't see a lot of smoking in porn photos or videos.

Wowgirls is a nice site.

If they include this site with the Diesel network, I would love to join. The models, photosets, and videos are really outstanding.

Welcome back.

Get a new email address and tell your friends and business associates what it is.

Or get two new email addresses: one for personal, one for business.

Unless you can find some program to filter out the spam on your old email address.

As far as I know, once your email address is being used by a bunch of different spammers, the easy solution is to get a new email address. Because the spam you are getting now will not stop.

Granted, the interactive feature of the webcam can increase the value of a webcam video.

But how many porn videos have you seen that were boring or a waste of time?

How many low-quality photosets have you seen or skipped over because you thought they were a waste of time?

My point is, you or I might be looking for quality porn, but a lot of porn is low quality, in photosets and videos. And I have seen recorded videos of live chat shows posted on the internet. And I'm pretty sure I've even seen some photosets made from live chat shows.

The reporter not only sounds like an idiot, he is an idiot.

He writes: "The male performers' options are even more circumscribed. No prostitution for them, no webcam shows, and lower pay."

The reporter never heard of male prostitutes? He never heard of webcam shows with males?

I've never seen a webcam show with a male performer, but it seems obvious they are available.

The article also states: "Webcam work is one of the few kinds of content that can't be pirated, since it's live and interactive."

The reporter sounds like an idiot. There are probably thousands of taped webcam shows on the internet. Some model puts on a webcam show, and someone in the audience tapes it, and then posts it on the internet.

And maybe the production company does the same thing.

The article states that Traci Lords was a porn performer who became a celebrity.

That's misleading. Traci Lords was a porn performer who became a celebrity because she started her porn career while a minor in magazines and movies. And when news of her real age came out, there was a scandal, and her nude magazine appearances and porn movies were considered child pornography.

You must be an educated person. Or one with a German background.

I didn't understand your idiom until I looked it up on the internet. And even then, my understanding is slightly vague.

The meaning of "one man’s meat is another man’s poison" seems more straight forward.

==============================

One man’s meat is another man’s poison

08 June 2009

Yes, we’re all structured differently, so what’s good for one person, may touch a raw nerve in another. The idiom goes back to the year 1576 (T. Whythorne Autobiography) and is so well-known in the English-speaking world that it’s often shortened to a simple “one man’s meat”. It doesn’t apply just to meat though, but to all sorts of things, like jobs, books and friends.

The most literal German translation is Des einen Brot ist des andern Tod (one man’s bread is another man’s death). A translation that might be a little more expressive is the Northern German Was dem einen sin Uhl, ist dem anderen sin Nachtigall (one man’s owl is another man’s nightingale). Traditionally, the owl was seen to bring bad luck, whereas the nightingale and its song were seen as a harbinger of great fortune – though this belief may, of course, just be another matter of “one man’s meat”.

You're lucky you didn't start your record keeping in Notepad, which is much more limited than Word. I use Notepad, because it's free.

But the file limits depend on which version of Word (or Notepad) you are using.

If you are using a very old edition of Word, it might help to switch to a newer version. I remember that the maximum file size of Notepad was increased when I upgraded to a newer computer many years ago.

Or you could switch to a different (free) program, and try importing your records into that.

..................................................

From a google search:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/211489

Word 2007/Word 2010 limits

Size of file Word can open 512 MB

Maximum number of records to display in recipients list dialog 10000
Note The 10000 maximum is for the recipients' list dialog. If you search in that dialog, you are limited to the displayed records even if your data source has more records. The workaround is to filter the records so that those that you are looking for will fit in the dialog or to use the Find operation in the wizard task pane.

The Windows 8 operating system, expected to be released late 2012, will not play DVDs. You will need to upgrade the operating system, or install additional software, if you want to play DVDs on Windows 8 computers.

Microsoft is doing this to save money. But I imagine a lot of people will be surprised their new Windows 8 PCs won't play DVDs.

If the tube sites are free, how do they make money off them?
I mean, the viewer isn't paying anything. And if there are ads at these sites, I doubt the viewing audience is clicking on most ads.

The same observation, sites come and go, could be made about most businesses. Restaurants come and go, hard drive manufacturers come and go, etc. Companies like Coca Cola, which have been around over 100 years and still remain on top, are the exception.

To me, it seems common sense that porn is more available today, since the invention of the internet, and the low-cost access to photos and videos, than back in the 1970s and 1980s. And if you go further back in time, to the 1940s and 1950s, then videos (on film) were even more limited and expensive.

Porn stars certainly don't command the respect of a medical doctor or teacher, but they are today, around in much greater numbers than in the 1970s or 1980s. And the numbers of porn stars in the 1940s and 1950s would be even less.

That's my guess. No hard data to back this up. But it just seems reasonable. How many porn stars were there in the 1940s and 1950s? Compared to todays porn stars, or porn performers?

My feeling is that with the increased population of porn performers, it has become more socially acceptable. The scarlet letter of adultery does not carry the weight of social stigma as it did in the early 1900s. In the same manner, but to a lesser degree, a porn performer today does not carry the same stigma she would have had back in the 1960s or earlier.

It's not a simple subject, but the ongoing sexual revolution has made many forms of behavior more acceptable. Having sex without being married, having children without being married, divorce, being gay or lesbian, and being in porn, are, in general, more acceptable today than they were in the 1950s and 1960s.

I haven't read a lot of forums on porn or porn performers. But my guess is that you get all kinds of posters to those forums. And I don't know what conclusions you can draw from them, other than to say that human nature/psychology varies widely.

I mean, for example, you find people criticizing, in a mean way, YouTube videos of popular musicians. People spewing filth, because the internet gives them anonymity.

Former president Bill Clinton has a new cheer squad. During a photo op at a gala in Monaco, Clinton was snapped with Brooklyn Lee and Tasha Reign. You might recognize them from a porn film near you. That's right. They are porn stars.

If straight or bi, what audience does he play to? Women, men, or whoever will pay to watch his shows?

I've only watched the free cam shows that some paysites offer. Where women are featured. Most of those free cam shows are a waste of time.

Maybe the state of Texas can issue an apology to the man it killed by mistake. Or maybe not. Do states ever admit they are wrong?

Wrong man was executed in Texas, probe says

Columbia School of Law professor James Liebman and five students studied the case of Carlos DeLuna, who was executed in Texas in 1989 for the murder of Wanda Lopez. The execution of DeLuna despite evidence he did not commit the crime is "emblematic" of legal system failure, their probe has found. (AFP Photo/Ronald Martinez)

He was the spitting image of the killer, had the same first name and was near the scene of the crime at the fateful hour: Carlos DeLuna paid the ultimate price and was executed in place of someone else in Texas in 1989, a report out Tuesday found.

Even "all the relatives of both Carloses mistook them," and DeLuna was sentenced to death and executed based only on eyewitness accounts despite a range of signs he was not a guilty man, said law professor James Liebman.

Liebman and five of his students at Columbia School of Law spent almost five years poring over details of a case that he says is "emblematic" of legal system failure.

DeLuna, 27, was put to death after "a very incomplete investigation. No question that the investigation is a failure," Liebman said.

The report's authors found "numerous missteps, missed clues and missed opportunities that let authorities prosecute Carlos DeLuna for the crime of murder, despite evidence not only that he did not commit the crime but that another individual, Carlos Hernandez, did," the 780-page investigation found.

The report, entitled "Los Tocayos Carlos: Anatomy of a Wrongful Execution," traces the facts surrounding the February 1983 murder of Wanda Lopez, a single mother who was stabbed in the gas station where she worked in a quiet corner of the Texas coastal city of Corpus Christi.

"Everything went wrong in this case," Liebman said.

That night Lopez called police for help twice to protect her from an individual with a switchblade.

"They could have saved her, they said 'we made this arrest immediately' to overcome the embarrassment," Liebman said.

Forty minutes after the crime Carlos DeLuna was arrested not far from the gas station.

He was identified by only one eyewitness who saw a Hispanic male running from the gas station. But DeLuna had just shaved and was wearing a white dress shirt -- unlike the killer, who an eyewitness said had a mustache and was wearing a grey flannel shirt.

Even though witnesses accounts were contradictory -- the killer was seen fleeing towards the north, while DeLuna was caught in the east -- DeLuna was arrested.

"I didn't do it, but I know who did," DeLuna said at the time, saying that he saw Carlos Hernandez entering the service station.

DeLuna said he ran from police because he was on parole and had been drinking.

Hernandez, known for using a blade in his attacks, was later jailed for murdering a woman with the same knife. But in the trial, the lead prosecutor told the jury that Hernandez was nothing but a "phantom" of DeLuna's imagination.

DeLuna's budget attorney even said that it was probable that Carlos Hernandez never existed.

However in 1986 a local newspaper published a photograph of Hernandez in an article on the DeLuna case, Liebman said.

Following hasty trial DeLuna was executed by lethal injection in 1989.

Up to the day he died in prison of cirrhosis of the liver, Hernandez repeatedly admitted to murdering Wanda Lopez, Liebman said.

"Unfortunately, the flaws in the system that wrongfully convicted and executed DeLuna -- faulty eyewitness testimony, shoddy legal representation and prosecutorial misconduct -- continue to send innocent men to their death today," read a statement that accompanies the report.

AP NewsBreak: Ubisoft assembling Avengers for game

By DERRIK J. LANG

Associated Press – 7 mins ago

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Now that they've saved the world on film, "The Avengers" are teaming up for a motion-control video game.

Ubisoft Entertainment announced a partnership Thursday with Marvel Entertainment to create a game based on the popular Marvel superhero posse. The game will be titled "Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth" and will be released for both the upcoming Wii U console from Nintendo Co. and the camera-based Kinect system for the Xbox 360 from Microsoft Corp.

"The idea that we're making a motion-control version of 'The Avengers' is a unique proposition if you compare that to superhero games of the past," said Tony Key, Ubisoft's vice president of sales and marketing, in making the announcement to The Associated Press. "This is the perfect type of game for that because these characters are very action oriented. They're always fighting and throwing things."

"Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth" will focus on such characters as Captain America, Iron Man, Thor and the Hulk fending off an invasion of genetically altered Skrull aliens. The title will feature more than 20 characters from the Marvel universe and would be based on the "Secret Invasion" comic series, not the recent film.

No release date was announced, but Key said the disc-based title is expected to launch after Nintendo debuts the Wii U later this year. The successor to Nintnedo's Wii will feature high-definition graphics, increased online capabilities and a touch-pad controller. He said more details about the game would be unveiled at next month's Electronic Entertainment Expo.

The game will be the latest addition to Ubisoft's motion-control arsenal. Previous titles released by the Canadian publisher that rely on gesture-based devices include the artsy shooter "Child of Eden," street brawler "Fighters Uncaged," superhero dueler "PowerUp Heroes," the "Your Shape" fitness franchise and top-selling "Just Dance" series.

"Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth" will mark the first time that the "Assassin's Creed" publisher has developed a game based on a franchise from Marvel, which was purchased in 2009 by The Walt Disney Co. The developers previously worked with "Avatar" director James Cameron to craft a third-person 3-D action-adventure game set on the planet Pandora.

Sega created each of the games pegged to the films of "The Avengers" forerunners, including last year's "Thor: God of Thunder" and "Captain America: Super Soldier," but there was no console game released this year alongside director Joss Whedon's blockbuster "The Avengers," just the mobile game "Marvel's The Avengers" and Facebook title "Marvel: Avengers Alliance."

Fans freaked out last year over unofficial footage and concept art posted online of a first-person "Avengers" game that was reportedly in development by THQ Inc. The footage of Iron Man, the Hulk, Captain America and Thor battling the infamous Skrull was yanked by Marvel from YouTube. A representative for Marvel declined to be interviewed for this story.

Traditionally, games based on Marvel movies have been released around the same time as their super-powered counterparts to benefit from parallel buzz. The open-world action-adventure title "The Amazing Spider-Man" from Activision Inc. is set for release June 26, ahead of director Marc Webb's film of the same name on July 3.

The big-screen adaptation of "The Avengers" starring Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye has smashed box office records, earning $207.4 million domestically in its opening weekend.

"For us, that obviously raises the brand itself to an even higher level, and that's good for our video game because we have an opportunity to reach a broader audience than just the guys who love comic book characters," said Key, who added that "Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth" would be family friendly despite the game's focus on fighting.

Marvel's superheroes have been a dominant presence throughout the history of games. They most recently assembled for the Capcom brawler "Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3" and the Activision Inc. role-playing sequel "Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2." Gazillion Entertainment is currently developing a free-to-play online game featuring them called "Marvel Heroes."

What surprises me, at least a little, is the buyers premium collected by the auction house. On a sale of $107 million, the auction house adds on $12,922,500, for a total price of $119,922,500.

And I don't know how sales tax figures into this. The auction was held in New York. If there was any sales tax involved, why not hold the auction instead in some tax-friendly country? I mean, you are probably talking millions of dollars in sales tax or whatever other taxes might apply.

A news article from yesterday, states Vogue magazine, will no longer feature models that are less than 16, or appear too thin.

Vogue bans too-skinny models from its pages

Associated Press

By SAMANTHA CRITCHELL

NEW YORK (AP) — Vogue magazine, perhaps the world's top arbiter of style, is making a statement about its own models: Too young and too thin is no longer in.

The 19 editors of Vogue magazines around the world made a pact to project the image of healthy models, according to a Conde Nast International announcement Thursday.

They agreed to "not knowingly work with models under the age of 16 or who appear to have an eating disorder," and said they will ask casting directors to check IDs at photo shoots and fashion shows and for ad campaigns.

The move is an important one for the fashion world, said former model Sara Ziff, who was discovered at 14 and has since founded The Model Alliance, dedicated to improving the working conditions of models and persuading the industry to take better care of its young.

"Most editions of Vogue regularly hire models who are minors, so for Vogue to commit to no longer using models under the age of 16 marks an evolution in the industry," she said. "We hope other magazines and fashion brands will follow Vogue's impressive lead."

American, French, Chinese and British editions of the fashion glossies are among those that will start following the new guidelines with their June issues; the Japanese edition will begin with its July book.

"Vogue believes that good health is beautiful. Vogue Editors around the world want the magazines to reflect their commitment to the health of the models who appear on the pages and the well-being of their readers," said Conde Nast International Chairman Jonathan Newhouse in a statement.

Models' health — and especially their weight — has been a lightning rod the past few years, especially after the death of two models from apparent complications from eating disorders in 2006-07, but the focus, until now, has been on runway fashion shows.

The Council of Fashion Designers of America adopted a voluntary initiative in 2007, which emphasizes age minimums and healthy working environments during New York Fashion Week, and London Fashion Week designers sign a contract with the British Fashion Council to use models who are at least 16.

The primary fashion organizations in Italy and Spain banned catwalk models who fall below a certain Body Mass Index level, and earlier this year, Israel's government passed an anti-skinny-model law.

Still, there is persistent criticism that the fashion world creates a largely unattainable and unhealthy standard that particularly affects impressionable young girls.

"We know that there is an impact for young girls — and boys, by the way — of what is put in front of them in terms of media," said Elissa J. Brown, professor of psychology at St. John University and founder of The Partners Program, a specialized therapy program for children and adolescents.

A change in what they see on the pages of prestigious fashion magazines could change the image of what they would strive for, she said.

It wouldn't hurt for parents to take a look at healthier looking models, too, she added. "I'm a mother and I hear other mothers talk about the parts of their bodies they don't like in front of their daughters instead of talking about health. If the message becomes about health, it could have a tremendous impact."

The Vogue guidelines are largely similar to the CFDA's — no surprise since U.S. editor-in-chief Anna Wintour was instrumental in crafting them.

"CFDA is pleased to see all the Vogue magazines unite in support of model health," CFDA CEO Steven Kolb said. "This increased level of support makes the message of 'Health is Beauty' even stronger."

Conde Nast, in its announcement, recognized that fashion models serve as role models for "many women," and the publisher wants to ensure that the models in its pages "are well cared for and educated in ways that will encourage and help them to take care of themselves, addressing as many of the pressing issues relating to ill-health in the industry as can realistically be tackled."

Ziff said the age restriction is important for other reasons, too.

"The use of underaged models is linked to financial exploitation, eating disorders, interrupted schooling, and contributes to models' overall lack of empowerment in the workplace," she said. "We simply believe that 14 is too young to be working in this very grown-up industry, and we're glad that Condé Nast International is making this commitment.

In addition to agreeing not to knowingly work with models under 16 or with eating disorders, the Vogue pact says the magazines will help "structure mentoring programs" for younger models and raise awareness of the problem of model health. The magazines said they would encourage healthy working conditions backstage and encourage designers "to consider the consequences of unrealistically small sample sizes of their clothing, which limits the range of women who can be photographed in their clothes, and encourages the use of extremely thin models."

Conde Nast publishes other magazines, including Glamour and Allure, but a spokeswoman said there are no current plans for these guidelines to be adopted across the company.

Runway model Coco Rocha applauded the changes.

"I've long been a vocal supporter of setting reasonable standards in the modeling industry," she said in an email. "Not every model appears in Vogue, but every model and every magazine looks up to them as the standard (bearer). I can only imagine this will be a solid step in a direction that will benefit models for generations to come. "

I wasn't a fan of the original Dark Shadows series either.
But I've really enjoyed several movies by Tim Burton. His movies often have a wonderful visual experience. And I often enjoy his offbeat humor.

Alice in Wonderland, Beetlejuice, and Batman Returns were some of his movies I liked.

Edvard Munch's "The Scream" is auctioned at Sotheby's Wednesday, May 2, 2012, in New York. The image is one of four versions created by the Norwegian expressionist painter. Three are in Norwegian museums. The one at the Sotheby's auction is the only one left in private hands and is being sold by Norwegian businessman Petter Olsen, whose father was a friend and patron of the artist. The hammer price was $107 Million with the buyers premium is $119,922,500. (AP Photo/Frank Franklin II)

NEW YORK (AP) — It's a scream that's still reverberating around the world.

One of the most iconic images in art history — Edvard Munch's "The Scream" — has become the most expensive artwork ever sold at auction.

During an intense 12 minutes, the 1895 artwork — a modern symbol of human anxiety — was sold at Sotheby's in New York City on Wednesday for a record $119,922,500 (€91,327,774). Neither the buyer's name nor any details about the buyer was released.

The previous record for an artwork sold at auction was $106.5 million (€81.11 million) for Picasso's "Nude, Green Leaves, and Bust," sold by Christie's in 2010.

Munch's image of a man holding his head and screaming under a streaked, blood-red sky is one of four versions by the Norwegian expressionist painter. The auctioned piece at Sotheby's is the only one left in private hands.

The image has become part of pop culture, "used by everyone from Warhol to Hollywood to cartoons to teacups and T-shirts," said Michael Frahm of the London-based art advisory service firm Frahm Ltd. "Together with the Mona Lisa, it's the most famous and recognized image in art history."

"As popular culture, it provides an analogy for both individual and collective experiences of, variously, loss, pain, grief, modernity, nature gone awry, the body out of control, and Existential struggle," said Patricia Berman, chair of the art department at Wellesley College and a director of the Edvard Munch Research Institute in Oslo.

A buzz swept through the room when the artwork was presented for auction as two guards stood watch on either side. Bidding started at $40 million (€30.46 million) with seven buyers jumping into the competition early.

The battle eventually boiled down to two phone bidders as the historic hammer price was finally achieved after more than 12 minutes. The record price includes the auction house's fee.

Sotheby's said the pastel-on-board version of "The Scream" is the most colorful and vibrant of the four and the only version whose frame was hand-painted by the artist to include his poem, detailing the work's inspiration.

In the poem, Munch described himself "shivering with anxiety" and said he felt "the great scream in nature."

Norwegian businessman Petter Olsen, whose father was a friend and patron of the artist, said he sold the piece through Sotheby's because he felt "the moment has come to offer the rest of the world the chance to own and appreciate this remarkable work."

"I have lived with this work all my life, and its power and energy have only increased with time," Olsen said.

Proceeds from the sale will go toward the establishment of a new museum, art center and hotel in Hvitsten, Norway, where Olsen's father and Munch were neighbors.

A total of nine works now have sold for $80 million (€60 million) or more at auction, according to Sotheby's.

Besides "The Scream" and Picasso's "Nude, Green Leaves, and Bust," only two other works have sold for more than $100 million (€76 million) at auction. Those are Picasso's "Boy With a Pipe (The Young Apprentice)" for $104.1 million (€79.28 million) in 2004 and Alberto Giacometti's "Walking Man I" for $104.3 (€79.43) million in 2010.

So does a tablet replace a notebook or a desktop? Or is it more like an additional device that's nice to have?

Not only is there a new Avengers movie this coming Friday, but the next Friday, Dark Shadows with Johnny Depp opens.

Anyone seeing either movie, how about posting your response/review on this thread?

You must be new to comic book movies, pat. No matter how many bad guys or how powerful they are, the hero always comes out on top. That is the unwritten code of the comic book hero.

There used to be publishers of paperback hardcore erotic fiction, but there were mainly in the form of novels. But as far as I know, most of them went out of business.

Are there any paperback hardcore publishers still buying and selling today?

But the hardcore paperbacks of the past, like I said, were mainly in the form of novels, not short stories.

Not sure exactly what goes into the meat part of the hamburger. But I tell them to hold the mayonnaise, and use ketchup and mustard instead.

Their hamburgers come standard with lettuce, onion, tomato slice, and pickle slices.

For a cheap hamburger, it really does taste pretty good.

I don't like the burgers at Jack in the Box.

Burger King is OK, MacDonalds is OK, but I prefer Carl Jrs the best. Edited on Apr 20, 2012, 09:57am

I doubt you will be asked to leave PU. And your membership will stay active, unless you request otherwise.

I like Carl's. They have free refills on soft drinks, iced tea, and coffee. And their hamburgers are cheap and good. I even like their $1.29 hamburger. But I usually get the Star burger, with soft drink (or coffee) and French fries.

I hope their commercials will have enough variety to keep you interested. If not, you can always add a porn pay site or two.

Wishing you well.

The Avengers, the new Marvel Comics superheroes film, opens May 4, 2012.

Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow answer the call to action when Nick Fury, director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., assembles The Avengers team.

With so many superheroes in one movie, it seems much harder to make a good movie instead of focusing on one or two superheroes.

But I like Joss Whedon, the director. So the movie might be good, after all.

Do we really need more tattoos? How about fake ones on movie stars, to encourage teens to get the real ones?

Emma Watson Flashes "Tramp Stamp" Tattoo in Short-Shorts, High Heels, Bra

For her role in the upcoming flick The Bling Ring, Emma Watson has gone through a dramatic transformation. First came the long, brown wig and on Thursday, she showed off some major faux ink!

Clad in Daisy Dukes, a bra top, a leather jacket and high heels, the Harry Potter starlet, who turns 22 Sunday, flashed a large temporary tattoo across her tailbone -- body art that is most commonly referred to as a "tramp stamp."

Directed by Sofia Coppola and costarring Leslie Mann, American Horror Story star Taissa Farmiga and featuring a cameo by Gavin Rossdale, The Bling Ring is inspired by the real-life group of tech-savvy Hollywood-area teens who burglarized the homes of Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Orlando Bloom, Rachel Bilson and Audrina Patridge between 2008 and 2009.

Watson isn't the only star to have rocked some out-of-character faux ink for a movie recently.

On April 2, Jessica Alba hit up a Beverly Hills park with her two girls, Honor, 3, and Haven, 7 months, while rocking large tattoos on her arm and tailbone.

"A local tattoo artist in Atlanta did it on her," a source told Us Weekly about the actress' faux body art for her role in A.C.O.D. "Jessica thinks it's pretty tough."

The wages of sin. Always part on friendly terms with your ex, whether it's a girlfriend or a wife.

Not sure what the guy did. Would like to hear more details.

Angry ex-girlfriend goes ballistic, rips off man’s scrotum

The Daily Caller

By Taylor Bigler

Fri, Apr 6, 2012

Talk about a ball buster.

An Indiana man was rushed to the hospital Wednesday after his scrotum was the victim of a vicious attack by an ex-girlfriend, The Smoking Gun reports.

The victim told police that his former girlfriend, Christina Reber, stormed into his apartment as he was innocently sitting at his computer. Reber, who he had severed ties with a few days earlier, first struck him on the head and then grabbed his scrotum and began “squeezing as hard as she could.” Naturally, he told officers that he “was in incredible pain when [she] grabbed his scrotum and began digging in her fingers.”

The police report indicates that the scrotum area was “completely torn loose from his body.” Reber reportedly “refused to let go of his scrotum,” but that the victim was finally able to remove his balls from her vice-like grip.

As if the story isn’t already good enough, the victim, who has not been identified, was taken to BALL MEMORIAL HOSPITAL. As far as we know, the hospital is not only for scrotum-specific injuries.

In an interview two days after the incident, the man told police that after his ex was done breaking his balls, his family jewels are so swollen that he is unable to work, and he isn’t sure if there will be permanent damage.

Reber was charged with two felonies: aggravated battery and illegally entering the victim’s home. She was also charged with a misdemeanor domestic battery.

Rock and Roll is the Devil's music. Rock started out in the 1950's, and it's still popular today. So we must be living in the Devil's world today.

Porn is just an expression of the Devil's world.

Only the pure in heart and mind (good and proper thinking Christians) will be saved. All others are going straight to Hell.

Documentaries and studies can be used to prove anything.

Are kids impressionable? Certainly. But so are adults.

That image proves the hard drive makers are using the recent floods as an excuse to jack up the hard drive prices.

As anyone can plainly see, and as the article points out, the flooding was only neck-deep. Most of the Western Digital plant remains safely above the water!

Shame on the hard drive makers for taking money out of our pockets just because we need the storage for our porn collections.

I doubt most beauty contests have any rules about plastic surgery.

Breast implants are common today, and I would guess that many beauty contestants have had breast implants, as well as nose jobs and whatever, to make them more attractive.

Your reaction just points up how individual tastes can vary.

I don't always agree with your movie opinions, but I think our tastes in movies are more similar than mine is with the average teenagers, who seem to be the target audience for this film. But this film appeals to teens, and people in their twenties.

But the twilight series fan base is mainly females. I saw a couple of those movies on DVD, and could hardly believe how slow and boring they were.

'Hunger Games' battles to $155M opening weekend

Associated PressBy DAVID GERMAIN | Associated Press – 1 hr 2 mins ago

LOS ANGELES (AP) — "The Hunger Games" has filled fan appetites with a $155 million opening weekend that puts it near the top of the domestic record book.

The huge haul marks the third-best debut ever in terms of revenue, behind the $169.2 million opening for last year's "Harry Potter" finale and the $158.4 million opening of 2008's "The Dark Knight."

"Harry Potter" and "Batman" were well-established franchises. "The Hunger Games" set a revenue record for a non-sequel.

It also was by far the biggest start for a film opening outside the busy summer and holiday seasons. According to Sunday studio estimates, "The Hunger Games" came in nearly $40 million ahead of the previous March record-holder, 2010's "Alice in Wonderland" at $116.1 million.

"The Hunger Games" slid into the No. 3 spot on the domestic revenue chart ahead of "Spider-Man 3," which opened with $151.1 million in 2007. Factoring in today's higher tickets prices, "The Hunger Games" sold fewer tickets over opening weekend than "Spider-Man 3," though.

With a broader fan base than the "Twilight" franchise, "The Hunger Games" pulled in bigger crowds than the top-grossing installment of that series. "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" leads that franchise with a $142.8 million opening weekend in 2009.

Women and girls have made up as much as 80 percent of the audience for the "Twilight" flicks. Though it features a female lead, "The Hunger Games" drew more balanced crowds, with girls and women accounting for 61 percent of audiences, according to distributor Lionsgate.

Despite its teen fan base, "The Hunger Games" also did well among older moviegoers. Fans 25 and older made up 56 percent of the crowds.

"The Hunger Games" stars Jennifer Lawrence as a teen who is one of 24 youths forced to compete in a televised death match in a post-apocalyptic North American society.

The film is based on the first novel in the best-selling trilogy by Suzanne Collins. Lionsgate plans to release part two, "Catching Fire," in November 2013.

Maybe Suzanne Collins fears being sued for copyright infringement.

I've never really understand the way that copyright infringement works in courts.

I remember that James Cameron's The Terminator was sued by Harlan Ellison. And that Orion Pictures paid Ellison money and added a credit acknowledging Ellison at the end of the movie.

I also remember some awards show on TV, where George Lucas and Steven Spielberg were honoring Akira Kurosawa and his influence on them. But then they added that their own movies were their own personal vision. Which seemed a little strange, and made me think they were afraid of being sued for copyright infringement. Akira Kurosawa movies were remade in Europe and the United States without anyone ever paying any royalties to Akira Kurosawa, as far as I know.

The Magnificent Seven was based on a Akira Kurosawa film.

Last Man Standing was based on an Akira Kurosawa film, and there was a Sergio Leone film staring Clint Eastwood in the Man with no Name Trilogy based on the same Akira Kurosawa film.
