Music when someone is dancing - yes

Music when someone is fucking - no

One of the best things about InFocusGirls is the sound quality they have - in their outdoor scenes, you have the wind, you have leaves stirring in the trees, you have birds, insects, and the model making all her little noises.

To put some canned crap on top to cover up those sounds is the aural equivalent of doing Twisty-like photo treatment so you can see what the model really looks like.

For a short time, ALS Scan was putting music in their vids and they'd paid significant money to get better than run-of-the-mill stuff, but the members hated it, being smart porn fans, and ALS Scan quickly ended the practice, being a smart porn site.

I've had some back-and-forth with other PU's about expectations of web sites, so I thought this might be an interesting thread.

I would have suggested a poll, but there's too many variations.

I've got pretty high expectations of web sites being able to work in fundamental ways - giving consistent access, making their pics and vids available in a consistent way. If a site isn't able to do so consistently, they ought to have damned good C/S so that they can respond to customer problems, since they're charging for time - and few sites add time on to subscriptions to make up for their problems in delivering consistent access.

Besides the fact that we're paying for time, there's the fact that this is the digital age - where I can download digital books to my kindle instantly and I can order internet PPV events and gofightlive and I can order video games over Steam - and they work - consistently. This evening I was watching an event at gofightlive and the feed cut out - they got another feed up within minutes and responded to my e-mail about the problem within minutes.

So why can't porn sites have the same expectations?

If a site has a problem, they ought to post about it so that their members know that they are aware of the problem and when the problem will be fixed - or they could e-mail to their e-mail list of members.

But sites should work consistently - and they should have the kind of C/S that can respond to their members' issues in a timely way.

Met Art has a note up now that the unique cam shows they used to have will be returning once they work out the bureaucratic and other kinks associated with their move to a new host.

People can disappoint you for sure. My niece was going out for a while with a Black guy. An angry Black guy with dreads and 'tude for miles. I liked the guy, though he was a hard nut to crack. And I was rather amazed at the attitude of my sister, who was talking about - I never wanted my daughter to marry a Black guy. The ironic thing was that the previous relationship that my niece had was with the kind of guy that the family would be fine with and the guy turned out to be a back-stabbing stalking son of a bitch. So now she was with a guy that treated her well - at least at that point - and they were all up in arms about it.

Such is life. People have their attitudes and expectations and wishes and dreams for other people and you have to struggle with them and try to help them overcome their limitations. That's my attitude anyway.

If parents are engaging with their kids that have made confounding and confusing choices and trying to get over their own heartbreak about it, that's not so bad and they deserve some sympathy, in my opinion. Parents that just want to dish abuse on their kids unless they cow-tow - I give them no sympathy.

To be clear, in the NPR piece that I heard, it wasn't the case that their parents had the poorest reaction. Compared to their general community, many of whom wanted nothing at all to do with these completely confusing kids, it seemed that the kids' parents had among the best reaction, but they were having a damned hard time with it - and who could blame them?

Think about it - you have a child - you expect it to be a boy or a girl and you expect that boy or girl to act like a boy or a girl and to grow up as a boy or girl.

Instead your boy tells you at the age of 9, that he's really a girl and wants to live his life as a girl and Carl tells you to start calling him Cherie - and you have to explain that to the school and the other parents and your friends and work colleagues, etc - and you wouldn't find that agonizing? Jeeezz - it'd be fucking hard!

I can only sympathize with everyone involved

I don't know how many cases there are of hermaphrodites having fully matured male and female organs - I would guess that it's pretty rare - but what's quite a bit more common is people with some elements of both male and female organs and I think the reality is that there's very little understanding of what really consitutes gender.

As I said, this particular story was about a person that was clearly one gender and after a surgical accident, he was the victim of doctors who decided to make him a guinea pig for their "Nurture over nature" theories.

But in exploring his own gender issues, his strongest allies were in the trans-gender community. Reading this book gave me a lot more understanding of people who are biologically one gender - at least in the main - who feel quite firmly that they are the other gender - and the fact is that might be a completely legitimate sentiment.

NPR had an amazing piece a few weeks ago about children - elementary school to junior high school age - that had reached that decision and the struggles of the families to deal with it. Fathers were particularly having trouble with biological boys who were firmly convinced that they were girls and that they wanted to be given female names and be allowed to live as females. And these kids were pretty well-adjusted about it. They had gone through the torment to make the decision, but once they had the confidence to make the decision, they were over a certain significant hump, despite the fact that they were having holy hell dumped on them by most of their peers.

As I say, my conclusion is that I don't know shit about what really constitutes gender - and whether there is a 3rd gender - or more.

Anybody ever read "As Nature Made Him" - about a boy who, as a baby, was the victim of a botched circumsision (spelling?). Anyway, the doctors told the parents - "You could raise him as a male with a deformed tiny penis, or we could operate and make him female and with hormones, you could raise him female and he wouldn't have any problems." Well, they did the latter and he was completely tormented for many years - fought all attempts to make him act female from a very early age - and when his parents finally told him the truth in his teens, he opted to live as a male, though he didn't have the male genitalia.

The book gets into a pretty thorough and fascinating discussion of how diverse human genital characteristics really and how common hermaphroditism is (characteristics of both sets of genitalia to some extent). After reading that book, I realised that I don't know a god-damned thing about gender.

Baddrifter's comment brought this to mind - I HIGHLY recommend the book - it's a fucking mind-blower!

It's hard to believe that the elimination of the unique cam shows that Met Art used to have was due to any popular demand. I suspect that it's more about economics. They used to have to pay the models to do those shows. Now they've got just the same kind of cam model set-up that is all over the internet and they probably get some percentage of the private shows their members buy.

It's too bad - their cam shows were unique and sexy, though I didn't avail my self of them all that often and they were never all that well attended. So I suppose that Met Art decided to make an economic decision and end them.

Most private shows are probably just the girl masturbating while saying, "ooh, oh yeah, don't you want your dick in my pussy?", etc

Girls that are more pro cam models, like Aaliyah Love, schedule shows so they can satisfy guy's detailed kinks. She was telling us once about having to buy a certain brand inflatable beach ball because the guy wanted her to roll around on top of it so he could get off to the sound of the air escaping from it. People are funny criters.

Finally getting to see Bruno now that it's on cable - some of it's hysterdically funny. The bit where he goes to an anti-gay parade handcuffed to his assistant pleading with these shit-heads carrying "God Hates Fags" signs to unlock them is a scream, as is the bit where he has a baby casting call and the parents are fine with whatever the hell he wants to do with their kids, including liposuction - I'm sure that's completely true to life.

Uh, Graymane - it's a fantasy - it's not an insult to your intelligence. It's a fantasy.

It's the great thing about sites such as Nubiles, ATK, Karups, etc. They tend to book all the new babes, so it's fun to discover that there is a treasure trove of early material when you decide that the girl is really special.

My view as a PU is that, if your individual reviews would entail a lot of duplication, don't bother doing individual reviews. Review the network. That's what I have tended to do.

Others have seen fit to do individual reviews and some have done "real" reviews of the individual sites looking at them on their own merits - positive, negative, overall.

It's a judgement call to a large extent and PU management will then make their judgement call as to how much credit you've earned if you do a number of individual reviews.

I like the "All That Jazz" suggestion - and I definitely agree. "Emanuelle" was one of the most anti-erotic "erotic" movies I ever saw - I was rather horrified. The whole zipless fuck thing was just a complete freaking turn-off. I don't think I even stayed through the whole thing.

The same director did a really goofy sci-fi/damsel in distress movie with Tawny Kitaen called "Perils of Gwendolyn", which I quite enjoyed and found to be very erotic. Edited on Jun 04, 2010, 07:33pm

Personally, I like fucking with a condom on. I tend to buy the kind with all the bumps and things that stimulate women. Having a condom on enables me to last a whole lot longer than I otherwise would since the stimulation is so much less - so it's fun to be going at it for such a long period of time, trying out different crazy positions, etc.

I don't consider wikipedia to be much of a source of accurate info. I don't know if it still says so, but Stephanie Swift's wiki page used to claim that she was a lesbian. In fact, she had been in a committed boy-girl relationship for years and I met the guy more than once since he sometimes traveled with her to club gigs.

Yes, if the performers aren't putting themselves at risk of AIDS to a significant degree, then I'm not interested.

Kidding - I'm not bothered by condoms because I really don't care all that much about the look of the cock unless it's excessively disgusting. Whether the cock is wearing a little raincoat or one of those sweaters that people put on their dachsunds doesn't really bother me.

I'll be interested in goldfish's response. I've become quite a fan of ATK, though I'm more of a pic than a vid fan. With ATK, there are wide variations in the styles of the photographers, with Fred on the slick side of things - (I'm pretty sure that Fred is a principal photographer for InFocusGirls, since most of his stuff looks just like InFocusGirls.com material, including the locations - not a bad thing for my tastes, since I like their stuff - and it's cool to get my fill of that style along with others) - and Alicia S on the un-slick side of things. I just checked out 2 vids, one by Alicia S & one by Angela Winters. The Angela Winters one looks less grainy, has more flattering lighting. The Alicia S one is pretty stark in terms of lighting, shows off every pimple the model has, has more grain to the vid so it needs to be watched in a smaller window to not lose sharpness in the image. But the vids have a nice casual feel to them and are quite decent vids. Their vids tend to run 215 mb, so they're not as much hard-drive space suckers as a lot of other vids are these days.

It would actually be pretty easy to get more details in this age where virtually every single porn babe - especially the young up-and-coming ones - are all into "Follow Me On Twitter" - and many of them would have no problem sharing info about how much the average girl gets for various types of scenes.

If you twitter-friend one of these babes, I bet you would get all kind of info if you asked.

Jamie Gillis had given an interview that I posted recently, talking about how difficult it was to get ordinary guys to get on camera to have sex when he was doing "On The Prowl". So I think the sites that need to be doing regular updates have to hedge their bets and have a back-up team of pros to fill in when they don't have willing amateurs.

Personally, I've found the fuck-an-amateur vids frequently anti-erotic when you see an incredibly hot porn babe with a bunch of out-of-shape tiny-dick guys who are having trouble getting hard on camera so there's Nautica Thorn sucking some wilted lily for minutes trying to get something going - that's just depressing, to me.

The Spinelli's did some porn flicks in the early 80's with real people fucking porn stars and they did it right - they found people with the right attitude and they had time, since it was film and the scenes were pretty cool.

In the world of the internet-quickie, there's no time so what they got is what we get and it's not often very good.

Videobox doesn't give a shit about their customers? Based on what? They have done more updating of the features of their site, such as custom clips, various types of tagging faves, etc, than any other site I can think of in the last year. You might not like their updates, which certainly vary in quality from day-to-day and week-to-week, but give credit where credit is due.

I'm also not too terribly worried about stable sites, such as Twisty's, Met Art & team, etc going away, but I think the overall point is a good one.

There are going to be sites that are going to disappear, probably more now that the Euro-zone seems to be having a new round of recessionary issues that are having repercussions in the US.

If people don't "feel well-off", they're going to hang onto their money and not spend as much on discretionary purchases.

ALS Scan made the point recently that they need the support of their current members if they are going to continue to be able to do expensive trips such as their Caribbean trips. That's a sign of the times, for sure.

Still in business? For sure. Doing much besides recycling their old material over and over and over and over again? Don't know and very hard to tell with them, since that was their pattern from day one.

Steve Lightspeed should get some kind of consistency award, though, for never improving as a photographer 1 iota no matter how many pics he took. That's some kind of achievement.

I'm anti-standardization, personally. A lot of guys come on here complaining about how sites have sets that are all the same one after the other, following the same formulas in each photo-set or vids and then endorse a rule that is calling for that exact thing.

Personally, I'd rather live with the "confusion" rather than increase the pressure to standardize in what ultimately becomes a result more boring than it would be otherwise.

Of course, I've probably got more tolerance for clothed and semi-clothed tease than many on this site.

There's a lot of full nudity around - including of many of these same models. Why does every photo-set or vid need to be exactly the same thing?

Old thread, I know, but I have to praise DownThemAll one more time. It's free. It's a plug-in to the Firefox browser. It's easy to use for people like me that have limited tech skills and the effects are dramatic. I've been missing that 21Sextury style, so I rejoined PixandVideo, was trying to download a scene with IE - d/l speed was shit, wouldn't get above 84 kb/sec. So I decided to cancel my download after quite a bit of time to see if it would get better - it didn't.

I logged into the site through Firefox, started a download of the same scene using DownThemAll - downloading now at over 400 kb/sec - 4 times as fast is pretty effective. I expect it to get up to 515 kb/sec, which is as fast as my internet provider seems to let it get.

How can you even tell which is upside down and what are you installing it into? It's external to your computer, right? I bought one a week ago because my computer was telling me that I needed to have a back-up of crucial files - which turned out to be about 50 gig of vids and pics - my computer has interesting tastes.

It's another one of those "it's all in the performance" issues for me. There are performers who are GREAT dirty-talkers - and it's great to see and hear great dirty-talkers do their thing. But not every babe in porn is a great dirty-talker and the ones that are not can take away more than they add to a scene with their vocalizing.

The 21Sextury site CutiesGalore is one that stands out to me as regularly having overly-fake vocalizing that takes away from their scenes - very cute girls indeed, but when they start that loud "Ooh"ing and "Ahhh"ing with no emotion behind it, it's more distracting than arousing.

InFocusGirls is a site with similar masturbation scenes to those at CutiesGalore, except that they tend to be done better with more subtle vocalizing that fits the action better and is more of a turn-on.

Get enough servers to do the job. There are plenty of sites that have fast, seamless navigation, page-loading times that seem instantaneous, etc. These sites that don't work on a fundamental level are the exception, luckily, not the rule.

I've seen multiple porn stars, including Jenna Jameson, make the same point that Stormy makes in #5 in various ways. There are also the porn stars that get off on fans telling them that they came for them in buckets and then used the buckets of cum to put up their posters all over their house.

Ya know, it ought to be pretty basically understood that

a) If you're going to have a site, a member ought to be able to click and get access and do things like - you know - download videos and things and

b) If you're going to pay some company to send promo invites to join your site, a person receiving the promo invite ought to be able to click on the link and actually have the page load where they could join if they see fit.

But noooooooooo

Yesterday, it took me crazy amounts of time to be able to get a vid download started at actionjav, a site with great updates but serious navigation issues.

This afternoon, I come home to see an invite to join Flashybabes for $5 for a month - I click on the link and the thing takes forever to load, then it gives me the old "pick a username & password", then click to see the membership options. So I fill out the username and password, click and after another ridiculous amount of time, I just get an error.

What's the fucking point? If you can't have members navigate your site, shut it down. Go open a Japanese equivalent of a taco stand or something else that doesn't require much technology.

If you can't have your site respond to promo mailings, why pay for them? Just save your money.

Jeeeessh!!

Allow me to school you all about Cinco de Mayo (actually, being a lazy fuck, I just copied the first paragraph from the Wikipedia article - lol)

Cinco de Mayo (Spanish for "fifth of May" is a holiday held on May 5 that commemorates the Mexican army's unlikely victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, under the leadership of General Ignacio Zaragoza Seguín.[2][3] It is celebrated primarily in the state of Puebla and in the United States.[4][5][6][7] While Cinco de Mayo sees limited significance and celebration nationwide in Mexico, the date is observed nationwide in the United States and other locations around the world as a celebration of Mexican heritage and pride.[8] Cinco de Mayo is not Mexico's Independence Day,[9] the most important national patriotic holiday in Mexico.[10]

Stormy a complete fucking bitch? No, but she's not a Madison Ivy type either (Madison refers to herself as "your favority cum-slut".

I think Stormy thinks highly of herself and likes herself as a person and if a fan is going to interact with her, she wants to be interacted with as a human being. She knows she does porn. But there's more to her than that and she wants that to be acknowledged if people are going to interact with her in a way that she would appreciate. That's what I get out of it.

I'm sure there are dumb porn stars. I'm sure there are brilliant porn stars. I've met a number that were quite witty and fun to chat with. Stormy Daniels is a very cool straight-shooting woman. She's a lot of fun to chat with online, at least, likes to talk about her relationship with her current bf, which seems to be a good one.

But lets face it, that kind of quality finding its way to our electronic doorstep are but crumbs compared the good stuff. In our cyber domain, Your fine examples are as rare as hen's teeth.

Isn't that the case with all porn? If it's approached as "just another scene", it's a big snooze. If the people on the 2 sides of the camera can do something to enliven it, then it's hot stuff.

One example of a recent toy-sucking scene that I found highly erotic. At FaceDownAssUpUniversity.com, there's a scene of Misty Anderson with a suction-dildo stuck on a mirror fucking herself with the dildo while giving a faux blow job to another dildo. I dunno why, but nobody makes Misty Anderson look as hot as Phil Flash does - she looks "softer" and prettier in front of his camera, for some reason and this is one of the "hardest" scenes that she had done at the time so she's got that "I'm being extra naughty" energy and looks fabulous and is totally into it and it's not her 100th time doing the same thing and it's very hot. There is popular porn that I really don't care for - Pirates is a great example - porn features have less and less appeal to me because they seldom care enough about their story to put anything into it, really, and their sex scenes tend to be piss-poor as well and Jesse Jane - no thanks - skeletons with big boobs are not my thing.

There is popular porn that I like a lot - Jules Jordan, Erik Everhard, Evil Angel - all that stuff is quite successful and I think that stuff is frequently quite good.

It's also a lot of what people posting in this forum don't like - "unnatural" fashion - more stripper-wear than anything usually worn on a trip to the mall - a lot of styling in the make-up and fashion - no great hatred of fake boobs, lots of cum flying about everywhere, grunting guys, etc.

As much as I dislike Brazzers' bait-and-swith business practices, when they have performers that I like, such as Amia Moretti/Amia Miley/whatever the fuck she's calling herself now, they do great work with them - and their vids look sensational.

But big boob porn babes are what sells a ton more than the young hot babes with natural bods, unfortunately.

There are directors, such as Jenna Haze, who have a no-fake-boobs casting policy, though Jenna says she'll probably do a Big Fake Boobs DVD eventually, but that is rather rare.

So you have the Madison Ivy's of the world saying, "OK, it's time to get big fake boobs so I can continue to work as I fit less and less into the school-girl thing."

For me, it's all about the overall performance. Some girls can do things with their mouths and tongues that are very exciting. Many girls are just following the director's instructions - now put it in your mouth and play with it - and there's nothing exciting about it.

One of the first times I saw this kind of toy play - and one of the most erotic was Kitten Natividad in "Beyond the Valley of the Ultra Vixens". She was trying to distract her husband and get him to fuck her, so she gets out a vibe and she's giving it a hand job and blowing on it and licking it, etc - it was a great performance, filmed impeccably by a master of tease, and it was very exciting.

The reality is that most porn is - "OK, let's do another scene - 3 minutes doing this, 3 minutes doing that, stick it in your pussy for a few minutes, have an orgasm and we're done. OK, now put on this outfit and we'll go again."

I just ran across this viral vid of soldiers in Afghanistan doing their own version of a Lady Gaga/Beyonce vid. Something about guys in a hellaciously dangerous situation doing something so fun and silly struck me as beautiful. I've never seen the original, but this is very cool:

I've had more problems with IE than Firefox with Windows 7. The newer versions of Firefox seem to weigh down my computer much less than previous versions.

I've experienced the blue screen maybe 3 times since I updated to Windows 7. I usually do a few restarts after I get it going again to make sure that the various maintenance elements of the system can kick in - and I do all of the scans that Norton and Windows Defender recommend doing - once a week or more frequently.

I liked that movie as well - and I think that school-girl outfits are hot whether they are on young women or on women that are clearly far beyond the age when they would have any "real" reason for wearing one.

I like the fantasy element in porn - if anything, it's not explored enough, for my tastes, and that includes playing with outfits.

So school-girl outfits, especially if they have sheer tops and ridiculously short skirts with knee-socks - that's a great thing to play with.

There is a great scene at Brazzers of Audrey Bitoni and Jenaveve Jolie in school-girl outfits that are ludicrously tiny and wonderfully sexy.

I also really like tops that barely cover the breasts with bare midriffs and tiny cutoff shorts, denim or otherwise.

One of my favorite cam shows ever was Kate of Kate's Playground taking a pair of scissors to a pair of tight fitting nicely-worn-in denim jeans. They already molded themselves to her scrumptious bod and when she cut them into shorts and then micro-shorts and then barely-there shorts - Man, it was beautiful! Edited on Apr 30, 2010, 02:50pm

Is it disturbing that porn sites are offering retention discounts? No. I've taken advantage of my share of them.

I've also taken advantage of retention discounts offered by my local newspaper when I was going to cancel, as long as they offered them, then I canceled.

I know a co-worker that got a great deal from Comcast when she called them to cancel her cable TV, saying that it was too expensive.

It's called Marketing and so long as it's giving something more and not taking something away, then it's not a bad thing.

In all these cases, and with any retention discount, it comes down to this - it costs more to get a new potential customer in the door to buy your product than it does to keep getting money from a person that has already been giving you money - about twice as much, according to studies that I've seen on the subject.
