Thanks for the quick response. First off, I did join Vixen and really like the subtle differences that make the content on this site better than many of the more established sites in this niche.
As for the issue I had, cross-checks are rarely beneficial to the purchaser since they are presented as a teaser with the goal of generating additional subscription revenue when the subscriber does not un-check the box or doesn't cancel within the very brief timeframe. Often times, if there is an error in the sign-up process, boxes that have been deliberately unchecked by the subscriber will check-themselves again. This is what I believe happened to me. OK, sure. My bad. But it just adds to the widespread belief that there is nothing good about cross-checks. If I want to join a site, I will go to that site (or look on Porn users for a discount) and sign-up.
In any case, I appreciate your response. It means you care about customer service and want to make sure your site is seen in a positive light. Only the best customer service organizations do that.
I just signed up for Vixen.com (for $10 since it is small) and unchecked the offer for bang.com ($1 for 3 days then $29.95 a month). Even though I unchecked the option, I still got charged. Fortunately, they bill through Epoch, so I got an email, and I was able to cancel immediately. Still, I have to warn everybody that these guys are using deceptive practices to charge you for sites you aren't signing up for.

So...My only re-join option is for 3 months or a year? WTF?
This is different... I joined VR Bangers several months ago but somehow, although I've written reviews for 12 other VR sites, I didn't write a review for this one. So I thought I would join again, get caught up and finally write the review. After sitting on the home page for a minute, a message popped up that said "Dilon's Special" offering a month for $14.95. Cool! I'll do that. But when I went to join and entered my email address, it told me I already have an account. So I went to the home page and logged in. Then it said "Account expired. Make a new subscription payment".
When I went to the make a payment page, not only was the $14.95 a month option not there, but there was NO MONTHLY OPTION AT ALL! The only options are for 3 months ($50) or a year ($100). WTF!?
Now, I have to say, this is the stupidest thing I've ever seen and is way up there on the greedy list. They think that by not allowing me to return for just another month, they will get me to sign up for longer?? Apparently, nobody told them how internet mail works! Anyone can get a new email account for free! Anyone can set up mail forwarding so mail from many email accounts ends up in one email account. So if they won't let you in using the original account, it is SO easy to just get another email account. (I personally own several domains and potentially hundreds of email accounts.) Why would they be so greedy as to not let me sign up for another month using my original email?
So I guess I'm being punished for leaving them in the first place. Too bad since leaving and returning in 6 months is an obvious approach to this site since they only update once or twice a week.
Making my only option joining for 3 months or a year simply means I won't be joining again....at least using that original email address. Totally idiotic!
If you go to join, look for or wait for the $14.95 offer. If you go to re-join, just use another email address.
It didn't make me wonder if I developed a new interest. It WAS a new interest. For me, POV and VR porn is pretty-fucking-amazing. VR is still a hassle, though. Hopefully, that will change soon.
I have a historically favorite group of niche sites that I now have annual subscriptions to, but I go out to the fringes fairly often for one type of porn or another depending on my mood. Mega-sites that try to be all things to all people are often not that good at many things. When I join a mega-site, it is usually for one thing within it. I have annual subscriptions at TMW and Naughty America, for example, but I only got those for the VR porn. Some of the other stuff is quite good, but it isn't what I'm there for.
Um...Marilyn Cole, Miss January, 1972. Full frontal. Great tan lines. Schwing! I was 12. Hyapatia Lee was the first insertion/porn I ever saw. Damn she was hot. That was a few years later. I grew up on Fort Lauderdale beach when the drinking age was 18, people fucked on the beach at night, nobody ever carded (Especially when you were 6'3", and there was a wet T-shirt (and much more) contest someplace every night. The strip clubs were pretty awesome down there back then, too. It nearly ruined me.
Damn, my login timed out AGAIN while I was writing a comment. That is so frustrating!
About pubes. Yeah....nope. I can appreciate that everyone has different tastes and don't mind a little pubic hair, but my experience has been that sex with full-blown "natural" girls is...more complicated than sex with shaved girls and that, for me personally, they don't taste as good. So I equate unshaven with less clean. When I see an unshaven girl who couldn't wear a bikini because of it, I just move on. And a girl with unshaven pits? I try not to gag before quickly moving on.
I think unshaven will always be a niche, but, if anything, shaving is probably even more mainstream outside of porn than in the past. Even men do it. (Somebody should ask this same question about whether guys/gals like seeing unshaven/hairy men.) I've shaved all over many times for my wife (and I'm hairier than Tom Selleck) and the sex always seems a little better.
And now that those tiny postage stamp bikini bottom fronts are becoming more common (there were many at South Beach in April and they are OMFG awesome!), I have a hard time believing big bushes will be back in the mainstream anytime soon.
Ok. Rant warning. What is with the guys who have to comment rudely or negatively about girls who don't have pubic hair? I see it on Met Art and Femjoy all the time. Downvoting or leaving rude comments for otherwise beautiful girls just because they are shaved is juvenile and stupid. There are plenty of sites that specialize in hairy women and many sites that provide a good balance. If you feel the need to be rude because a girl is shaved, just do us all a favor and stop it. OK, rant done.
Yes, they are different. Maybe it changed as the sites matured and they realized they were leaving money on the table. Mine was a on-time payment for access as long as I maintained a subscription to one account. IT still works out to more than an annual subscription to one site, but not to 5-7 sites.
No, my "lifetime" bonus option did not include Baeb. I joined Baeb separately because of a particular model and I did not know until I joined that it was part of this network. I get all the sites you get. I only had it for a month because it is really, really small. I wrote a review, I think.
I've also had a site or two added since I joined. The "Holed" site was added, I know.
So it seems like the gimmick is the same, but they changed the time from forever to one year.
I need to write a new review here. I've been a member of this network for a year or more, now. There are several different niches within the pay-once network with an update someplace every day. As a result, the total network collection is pretty huge and they seem to be adding new specialty sites (like holed.com and baeb.com) fairly often.
Before you join, find the cheapest site on this network and join that, then choose the all-site option from that site for a $69 one time fee. As long as you stay a member to that one site, you will have access to all of them.
1. Loyalty Programs!
2. Better long term subscription options.
First, I'm going to say loyalty programs. I am a long, long term member of some sites and am amazed that they don't offer more incentives for long term members to join other sites for discounted prices. For example, I love the Met Art network and am a near-permanent member of one or two of their sites. They used to offer deep discounts for existing members to join the other sites in the network, but they no longer do. In fact, when you go to join another site from within the network, the first click to a price on another site brings it up for full price! Then, if you hunt around, you can find them for $10 off. But I keep finding offers for Met Art sites elsewhere (not on the site) for less. As a current subscriber, Shouldn't I be offered the same special rates for a different site on the network than somebody who isn't a subscriber that is surfing on a non-network web site?
One option would be a "monthly member for 5 months gets a month to another site." kind of arrangement. 5 months at the monthly rate is often equal to the yearly rate at many sites, so how about giving long-term subscribers that pay monthly a little perk? The network has absolutely nothing to lose by doing this.
Second, I'm surprised some sites don't offer long term memberships or, if they do, they offer one at a ridiculous price. Some sites, like In The Crack, have nothing but a monthly membership rate. Really? You want me to pay $39 a month for HOW LONG? That kind of logic guarantees migration into and out of a site. How many times would I sign up in a year? Once? Twice, maybe? $78? So wouldn't an annual membership for, say $129 net more money from the individual subscriber than one 1-month membership every six months or so? Yes, there are some people who will pay $39 a month indefinitely, but I believe the majority of subscribers see a diminishing return for each month they stay on and eventually they leave.
A solution here might be cumulative discounts. Inthe case of ITC, it would look like this. Join for a month and it is $39. 2nd month, $34. 3rd month $29 until you get down to whatever base amount makes sense. $15? That's $160 for 6 months. Far more than an annual subscription if there were one and probably far more than they would get from one person because that person would probably leave after a month or two at the full rate. And to encourage you to stay, the rate would revert back to full price if a person left for a month or more.
So that's it. Frequent-flyer plans and more attractive long-term subscriptions
I'll have to start a thread on this. The question really got me going.
I sit down and usually go through the sites I'm signed up for in a particular order. New sites would be first, then sites that update less frequently or fill a niche to scratch an itch, then, if I haven't found anything exciting, a couple of long-term sites that almost always do it for me.
I post things on a lot of different BBs for different subjects ranging from classic and modern sports cars to robotics and animatronics to DIY home renovation to, of course, porn. Some are reviews, some are answers to questions, some are how-tos and some are questions to others. That closing line is just a sign-off that I use and I included it here out of habit, I guess. It is not a search for validation (after 10 years and 50 or so reviews, I'd be crazy to still be looking for that.) I do hope that this review helps PU readers make a decision about the site. That's all. :-)
Great feedback! This was a late night review and I did pull a little from my review of 21 Naturals (which uses the same overall set up and many of the same pages).
I'll go back and read this again and make some changes.
In general, I still think of HD like the cable companies do. 720 is marginal HD but it counts. 1080 is HD. 4k is something other than HD. I meant 1080.
Current Member for over 1 month (at the time of review).
Pros:
Good quality videos.
Nice looking models.
More fetish material than expected (if you are into it)
Some of the bonus material is very good.
Sets are dated in both main and bonus sites
Everything is HD back to about 2009
Image zips available for all scenes
Cons:
They try very hard to get you to sign up to the other two 21 networks.
Sex is competent, not necessarily exciting. (i.e. slow...)
More fetish material than expected (if you are not into it).
Filter function is counter-intuitive.
Some of the bonus material is better than some of the main material...
Bottom Line:
21 Sextury is now one of three 21 Network sites that are marketed together but subscribed to separately. There is very little logic regarding which videos end up in which network since they all contain straight and fetish material
Here are the stats I could find (as of 5/10/17)
21 Sextury:
About 9700 sets on main site.
About 2200 female and male actors listed
Sets are all dated
Recent Videos are HD up to 1080p.
Lots of older videos that are not HD.
Videos are scored via thumbs up/down.
Videos are NOT tagged so you don't know if you are watching an anal or fetish video until you are.
You can select anal, for example, in a search filter, but you cannot de-select it.
21 Sextury is the original site in this network and as such it is larger and older than the others.
Overall the quality of newer videos is very good. They are are high quality, well directed and well lit. The actresses are good looking and they come in all shapes, sizes, colors and and ages, but most of them are in the 20-30 range with a few more mature gals. The newer material is along the lines of Wow Girls or Joymii. The older material is....not so much. Much of it seems borrowed from old sites from this company, like Club Sandy.
There is a lot of fetish material here like peeing and anal. I thought 21 Naturals was the foot fetish site, but there is some here, too.
There are some backstage videos that include things like shaving and tweezing eyebrows. Meh. There is some light femdom and lesbian bondage, a few "doctor" videos involving a gyno chair and speculum as well as regular sex, and there is something called Nude Fight Club that is a lesbian wrestle then sex thing. You would think that this would be loser gets pinned and has to do whatever the winner wants, but they didn't think it through the much, so it is "Wrestle a little, tear each other's panties off, start munching and, oh here's a dildo. Interesting to watch once or twice...
There is also a lot of bonus content that is excepts from other sites or straight from DVD.
This content appears regardless of which site you have subscribed to.
One of the frustrating things about this site is how much effort they put into selling you subscriptions on their other two sites. The landing page includes updates from all the sites with a little lock over the ones you can't watch unless you purchase access.
Another surprising frustration is in searching for specific things or models that you like. There is SO MUCH material here that you can't just move through the models page looking for the ones you like. Doing that could take days!
There is NO SEARCH function. Instead, they have
a "filter" system that allows you to select options like anal so the resulting videos include it. But the "filter" is backwards. FILTER means exclude, not include. So if I de-select anal, I should not get anal. Instead, when I deselect anal, all I get is anal! Deselect foot fetish and anal? you get both. In the meantime, if all I want to see is latinas having straight sex, nope. I can choose latinas, but it includes all latina scenes including fetishes, behind the scenes, etc. And the options to select are very limited, so I can't search for videos that have, say, reverse cowgirls in them. Oh and lastly, once you select a video from the filtered list, when you return to the filter page, it has reset so you have to start all over. I apologize for ranting about this, but it is clear that the webmasters don't understand how this should work. Although they've put great effort into search functions, these functions are counter-intuitive and pretty-much useless.
Fortunately, there is a list of network sites in the left column. Micro-site names like Asshole Fever, Gapeland, Lezcuties and Footsie Babes help when searching for some stuff.
When you scroll through the models (pornstars) pages, you will see a lot of great looking girls (and guys), many of whom have different names than what you might expect. You can sort by most recent, most viewed, highest rated or alphabetical order. Only "most recent" gives you any idea of the age of a model or set. "Highest Rated" includes several models that have been out of the business for many, many years among the top 20. Also, the dates of the releases often do not reflect the dates of the videos. Bonus videos released recently might actually be videos that are 10+ years old.
Some are straight from DVD and many are not HD.
Bottom line is that there is a lot of material here and much of it is very good. There is a significant amount of fetish material here also.
But be prepared for your favorite models to have names that are different than you are used to. This, and the odd non-filter, means you will have to look very hard to find your favorites.
The site is worth it for a month, especially when you can find it at a discount, but the frustrations start to outweigh the pleasures by the end of your first month.
Pat362 said it pretty well, but I'll elaborate a little. It is possible to binge on porn like one would binge on a series on Netflix. Like many binges, there is an after-effect along the lines of "What the fuck did I do THAT for". During that binge-remorse time frame, whether it is minutes or days, it is likely hat the person is sick of porn.
It happened to me once....
Oh, and then there is "Sick of spending so much money on porn".....Totally different.
Good to hear from you. OK, I get that you want to review the niches within a site. Makes perfect sense. If you look at my VR site reviews on PU, I make it clear that I am reviewing just the VR portion but I often mention that there is a network and there is non-VR material. I even rate the VR sites "on a curve" rating them against each other instead of against mainstream non-VR sites that understandably have more content and more frequent updates. Looks like you guys are doing something similar.
I guess what is grey here is the definition of network. Lethalpass is a network that includes all sites for one price. POVD/Passion HD network is a group of individual sites that provide access to the entire network for an additional fee once you join one site. 21 Network bills itself as a network and lists all material but charges a fee to join each separate site. And Met Art is a network that generally keeps of their sites separate, chargins a separate fee for each one. I'm splitting hairs a little, but the first two networks are more inclusive. The Czech VR Fetish review does a good job of saying that you also have access to the other sites but maybe this is another thing that needs to be fleshed out in the site details column under the subject "network access includes:"
and/or "Network sites available for an additional fee:"
As for the lethalpass network, you really should review the main site, Czech VR. It compares fairly well to other, similar sites on your list.
When I get a chance, I'll write a user review for some of the VR sub-sites TBP is writing reviews on.
Oh, one last thing. HTC Vive owners know that they can use the high-def videos produced for Oculus Rift on their headsets, but people who are looking at these sites prior to deciding which VR headset to buy, or have a new Vive, might not. To be fair to those folks, you might want to change the "video format" listings to just say Oculus/Vive...possibly even if the site doesn't. I know some sites provide download links for both headsets, but the videos are the same. I can't recall if the Lethalpass sites just reference Oculus or not, but I have a Vive and all of the highest resolution videos from this network work on it. Just saying Oculus/Vive would also help make your review specs more consistent.
I appreciate the work you guys do and the great reviews you produce. Let me know if you ever need another reviewer on your team! :-)
I'm a little confused as to why this is listed as a separate site because it is included with a subscription to CheckVR, which I reviewed. CheckVR, Check VR Castig and Check VR Fetish is all part of the same one-price network. Not separate!
If they are considering or have already broken these sites out to be separate, then the scores should be somewhat lower. I reviewed Check VR and included these sites.

What are we talking about here? Solo model porn, couples porn where the primary actor/actress looks at the partner? Look s at the camera?
In solo porn, it is extremely important that the girl look at the camera unless there is some reason she can't (i.e. blindfold or hidden camera-style scene before being discovered). I've said this before. As the recipient/audience, a solo porn scene should be about ME. Full POV scenes (Like those at POVD) and Virtual Reality scenes (like those at WankzVR) have really spoiled me when it comes to videos.
Eye contact in photo sets is just as important as it is in videos. I actually cull out a lot of images where the model is looking elsewhere.
