I've never used outcall services, but my understanding is that the goon usually waits in the car when they drop the girl off. I've used incall services a few times in Toronto and have never seen a goon present in the condo or apartment, but he may be there.
To answer the question though, this would be a deal breaker.

Since moving all my content to USB hard-drives a few years ago and doing so on a go-forward basis too, I'm reluctant to discard anything. I'd keep them all. I'd guess that at least 50% of my large collection has had nothing more than a passing glance. But I'll never get rid of it and every bit of it is backed up.

Thanks for this info. I've never joined the add-on sites because they just seemed too expensive in the past. I recently re-joined VB and declined the add-ons because I just assumed they were still separate and still expensive. But thanks to this info I suspect that I'll add them on soon.

The Legend Video site certainly looks like it is the official site of the well-known studio, but I have my doubts. While the quality of the site is very good, I would hope that a big studio like Legend could do a better job and would also make more of their catalogue available. But it might actually be an official site since most other studios don’t do a spectacular job of their own sites and also aren’t very generous with their titles.
Having said that though, this is still a good site. It is well organized and finding specific titles isn’t a big problem. Many of the titles available aren’t widely available on other DVD sites so this is a good opportunity to access them. One thing I particularly liked was the opportunity to access some of the older Legend series’ from the 1990 and earlier in this decade. Series like American Cocksucking Championship, All About Ass and POV Casting Couch. However, while there are a lot of older titles available, there aren’t too many of their newer titles on this site. That’s another reason why I suspect that this isn’t a Legend-operated site. I suspect that they’ve licenced some of their older material to a third party.
The site is reasonably well organized with menu selections that help you narrow movies down by theme, or series name. I particularly like being able to sort be series. There are several download options available and during my membership I found download speeds to be slightly faster than I’ve seen with other adult sites. Not blazing fast, but somewhat faster than the industry norm.
One big advantage to this site is that it offers a full trial. For $4.95 you get unlimited access for two days. This is a great option if you’re only looking for a few titles and get in, get them and get out. I’ve used this option with this site and cancelled my trial almost immediately to avoid the recurring charges and the membership remains valid for the two days (unlike some other trials we’ve heard about from other PUs). This site is also part of a small network. I’ve had memberships at several of these sites in the past but haven’t really spent much time at them so I can’t really comment. They certainly add to the value of the site though.
The bottom line is that this site offers a lot of older (5+ years old, approximately) Legend titles that are not widely available elsewhere. The site is easy to use and the download speeds are good. The site is a moderate value for the monthly fee when you take into account the other sites on the network but is an exceptional value when you take advantage of the full trial option. If you’re looking for hard-to-find older Legend titles, I’d recommend starting here. |

pat362 - I'll have to defer to you on this one. I have little experience in the world of Eastern European / Russian sites (and yes, I know that's starting to sound like an excuse...) and thought that this was new material.
My membership expired a couple of weeks ago and I've been watching the material since then. But you appear to be right. Since the last update I downloaded there appear to have only been two updates, unless there are more that aren't just shown on the front page. But that doesn't make sense. Maybe I got in and got out while the getting was good. I'll watch for any future reviews to see what others think.

dracken - you're right, many of these models are probably not as new as I think they are. I'm not very familiar with Eastern European / Russian porn so I may have made a bit of a fool of myself making that claim.
I don't recall seeing any available chats as bonus material. The sites seems a bit to simple to offer something like that. The only bonus material I saw was offered on two similar sites.

Drooler - I generally avoid any specific technical stuff simply because I really don't understand it. Photos aren't too bad, but with video I really don't understand the relationship between file size, bit rates and all that. The photos on this site are all 2376 x 1584. First off, please excuse my ignorance of Eastern European and Russian porn. If I say something that’s incorrect, don’t take offence. I have nothing against European or Russian porn, I just prefer American porn. And not for any tangible reason. It’s mostly because with American porn I get to follow the careers of specific models and I find that more difficult with European models.
That said, I was lured into this site when I say it listed on TBP as a “What’s Hot” site. I checked it out and the first model, Natalie, had me reaching for my credit card.
The ‘hook’ of the site is the young models. Given the title, the assumption is that they are all 18, and I’m inclined to believe that. I downloaded and watched every video on the site and enjoyed all of them. If you’re into hardcore, they have that (with some anal as well), and if softcore and toys is your choice then you’ll be happy too. There is some G/G material too.
The site is still pretty small. When my membership expired there were still fewer than 30 scenes available and several of those were the same models (not that that’s a bad thing though). The good news is that there were regular updates throughout my time there and the updates were all good quality. The site says it updates on Sunday, and they seem to add several updates at the same time. Given time, this site will grow into a decent value if they continue like this.
For people who like photos, this site won’t disappoint either. Each video set has an accompanying photo set with between 100 and 150 photos. These are available in high-resolution and can be downloaded as a zipped file.
The bottom line is that this is a small but growing site that delivers what it promises: fresh, young (18+) models. The videos are good quality and there are photos available too. There is a mix of hardcore and softcore. The site isn’t yet what I’d call a good value for anyone who doesn’t specifically want to see one of the models, but if they continue to add to the site at the rate they are now it will become a good value soon. I’d recommend this site to anyone who likes younger models.
(BTW - I read pat362’s comments and I’m not sure how that impacts this review. I’m not aware of the smackmybitch site or the adultlabs company. It may be that this content is just purchased. I don’t think that this would substantially alter my view of the site if it were true.) |

I'm with Jay G and Capn on this one - customer service is extremely important when you have an issue. Anyone can create decent content and put it on the net but if you show absolute disrespect to your customers you deserve your own level of hell after death. Thanks for the review and warning.
I also agree that processing services should be pressured to drop these sites. But we also need to make sure that sites that provide decent customer service get noted too.

For me, censored photos are an indication of an overall attitude that makes me wary. One thing that really burns my ass is when a site preview only has a couple of pages with few or no samples and then immediately dumps you onto a "join now' page. That'd be like buying a car based only on seeing a brochure. I really appreciate sites like Videobox that allow you to see EVERYTHING they have so you can make an informed decision.

I'm a big fan of Hotmovies.com too. I have several VOD sites that I use regularly (Adult DVD Empire, Hotmovies.com, Download2Own, Sugar VOD, Gamelink and AEBN Theatre). Each of them has some benefits and some downsides too. I was planning to do a review of each of the ones that are listed here at PU to let possible users make an informed choice but I'm not sure that I can make the reviews different enough to warrant that many reviews. Some VOD sites are definitely better than others, but when there is a rare title that I want to see it usually comes down to finding which site has it. If multiple sites have it then it comes down to quality and price. I'm amazed that the price difference can be as much as it is sometimes. My experience is that Sugar VOD usually has the best price.
I wish I shared your enthusiasm for streaming. For me the collecting and keeping is important, especially when I'm finding older titles that I haven't seen for years. I'd like to be able to keep them DRM-free if they were available that way somewhere. The only reason that I'm not completely frustrated with VOD sites is that a lot of what I remember from my 'golden age' of porn in the mid 80s to the mid 90s was absloute crap. Yesterday I found a title I had been trying to remember for a couple of years. It was called "Backdoor to Harley-wood 2." When I finally remembered the title and found it (on Hotmovies) I streamed it and it occured to me that the movie was terrible. It's sort of like thinking about the early to mid-1970s as part of the muscle car era when Corvettes and Trans Ams had less horsepower than most family sedans today.

Part of me figures that most PUs have no interest in VOD sites, but then the sensible part of me figures that several good ones exist so someone has to be using them, and maybe a lot of people are like me and can tolerate DRM to see some DVDs that aren’t available elsewhere. For many titles, a VOD site is the only way to get it online.
Gamelink is HUGE, like most VOD sites. TPB says that they have close to 17,000 titles available for some form of viewing. Some of those titles are only available for purchase through the mail, but those don’t appear to be too common.
The search function on Gamelink is good, but it isn’t as detailed as some competitors, like Adult DVD Empire. The feature that seems to be lacking is the ability to do a multi-layered search. You can do a search for Tammi Ann or a search for LBO Entertainment, for example, but you can’t search Tammi Ann in LBO titles only. Not a deal breaker…
One aspect of Gamelink that is both good and bad is that most DVDs have several options available for viewing. You can buy minutes based on a package, you can stream the videos, or you can download them for a set rental period – usually 7 and 30 days. The bad part of this is that not all titles have all options available. I found several titles that I wanted to see but these were only available through streaming. I’m not a fan of streaming so I avoid these if I can. For downloads, most are available as a WMP file, but some have an option of DivX. Some only offer DivX. The quality of the WMP downloads is decent, but certainly not HD. I can’t speak for the DivX quality because I refuse to download a file manager and player just for a couple of videos.
Download speeds are less than I’ve seen at other VOD sites, and are about 400kb/sec.
Pricing varies quite a bit, likely on supply and demand. A hot title is naturally going to command a higher price.
One thing that really bugs me about VOD sites (all of them, not just this one) is that they are inconsistent with formats and prices. I’m not certain, but my guess is that this is the studio’s fault and not the VOD site. I suspect that if these sites had the choice they’d make all titles available in all formats at a lower price. My guess is that if a studio only wants their material streamed and demands a high price, then the VOD site has little room to negotiate. It ends up being a bad deal for us PUs.
But… other people than me have to use VOD sites too otherwise they wouldn’t be here. I’m pretty anal about my porn collection (pun intended) and I like being able to find and watch titles from my personal ‘golden age’ of porn, from the mid 80s to the mid 90s. For all their faults (and for a collector there are a lot of those) VOD sites help fill a void. Gamelink is certainly one of the better VODs that I use regularly and if you’re looking for a must-see title from any era I’d recommend trying them. |
