Well, it has been almost a year since I was a member, so if the models have gotten more bottom of the barrel, that is unfortunate indeed. I'm surprised about the comments on the video quality, as I recall that being pretty good - near DVD quality but of course not HD. Some sites improve with time, others diminish.
Anyway - please post a full review, I'm sure other users would love an update on how much content is available and a different person's opinion of the site.
Pidgin. I used to use AIM exclusively, but as people started diversifying their preferences for IM systems, I needed a program that could interface with them all. These days, that program is Pidgin.
Despite videos taking up the bulk of my dedicated porn file space, I must say that I'm a photo guy at heart. So, assuming the site has photos, I'll gravitate to those first. Photos or Videos, I always traverse a site's terrain via the models. My entire collection is organized by site / production company first and model name second (preferably with a head shot to accompany the name) - so naturally it is by model name that I explore the site.
If you are planning on joining I'd recommend observing the site for a while to see if it goes through that site update they are promising. Just don't want you to jump on the band wagon only to realize it was upgraded to a coach a few months later, lol
That is a valid point - essentially the decision has already been made. I'll have to reconsider my score, perhaps it needs to be adjusted. Hell, I've been planning on adjusting all my scores to a less finite measurement anyway - maybe now is the time to do that :-P
Well thanks for sticking it out, many people run away from arguments (discussions, debates, et cetera) these days - it is always nice to run across other people who enjoy the activity. I'll admit I often have the habit of arguing another side just for the sake of arguing, it isn't in my nature to concede an opposing party's argument :-D
Assuming the raffle's engine truly random, I see it as perfectly fair. To earn tickets you need to be writing reviews and actively participating in the Porn Users community - limiting users from winning multiple weeks in a row punishes the most active members.
If popular opinion dictates that people shouldn't win multiple weeks in a row, I think their tickets should roll over to the next week. That'll keep infrequent reviewers like myself from holding off on a review just to make sure the tickets it generates actually count. While I don't actively hunt for tickets, I'm sure as hell quite aware of them.
I agree, one could worry about a slipper slope mentality to separating site niches to be rated amongst themselves - it could quickly become confusing. However, there is a single difference between the adult 3D games and the other sites reviewed on Porn Users that I believe negates this argument. The games are an entirely different medium, sure both can be viewed on a computer monitor, but the games are an interactive experience that requires user input. If there were more companies dedicated to producing adult games, I would recommend that sites like 3D Sex Games not be allowed to be review on Porn Users as it isn't a passive entertainment medium, like videos, photos and stories. That interaction that changes the experience at the users request makes it in many ways tougher to review.
I will grant you it is related, you are still viewing porn, but I think the experience is significantly enough different that it makes it quite difficult to compare. Separating "ATM from Anal", as you suggested is like saying you only review Hollywood comedies and not SciFi, or station wagons and not sedans (estates and not saloons, for our UK members). They are the same medium and narrowing down by niche that much on a user review site could be trouble.
Still, it is difficult to decide where to draw the line. For at the same time, despite being of different mediums, both an adult content website and an adult video game are trying to provide you with pornographic entertainment, so in that sense they are related. How they try to entertain you is significantly different, but the goal is largely the same.
On the other hand, I suppose I may have simply enjoyed messing about in 3D Sex Games more than you did. As you said - that is what the site is for. I hardly think the game is perfect, but I do think it is quite a laugh and a great time waster. I've said in the past that the numeric score is the most dreaded part of the review for me, I fight with myself over it for hours - in the end, perhaps I got it wrong on this one. I don't know. I would recommend the site to most people, but I'd certainly recommend MET-Art more. It is tough - I wish we just used a bloody 5 star rating system, lol
I'll agree with you that the human reaction to the animation and design of the models is better in Active Dolls - they are simply far more endearing. At some points the models and animations of 3D Sex Games suffers from falling into the Uncanny Valley. I had latched on to your statement of the "3D Game Engine", which generally ignores the aesthetic of the animation and model design, instead referring to the technological architecture that makes it possible. In that regard I would say the games are relatively equal - and far surpassed by 3D Stripper.
As for the rating, I personally see this as such a different animal from other adult sites that it seems difficult if not impossible to compare it with the likes of VideoBox or MET-Art. How does one give Pac-Man a rating in relation to Ghost Busters the movie? Both have plots involving the removal of ghosts, but they are so different that the scores wouldn't make any sense. "Buy a Ford Mustang, it has more moving parts than a banana."
I believe that if a user is contemplating joining a 3D adult game site - they are looking for just that, a fully interactive 3D game, not just any form of adult entertainment. In that regard I think both 3D Sex Games and Active Dolls are among the best available choices and deserve high marks.
I've used 3D Sex Games for years, so the control issue was never an issue for me, but I see how it can be deemed confusing. However, of all the sex simulation games I've encountered, I personally found it to be the best. With only the mouse, you can control every aspect of the game. Moving / rotating / zooming the camera, switching poses, modifying the speed of the action (or directly controlling it) - all these can be done on the fly without finding any keyboard keys. There is a bit of a learning curve, but compared to other programs that have the characters trying to walk around or keys needing to be pressed in conjunction with mouse movement to simply zoom out - I find 3D Sex Games' control system far superior.
I would agree that the animation leaves something to be desired, especially facial animation - it is all hand animated, and while that provides a certain fluidity to the repetition of the action, it doesn't provide it with as much natural movement. Mo-cap might aid it, though I've seen mo-cap fail as well.
I've very surprised to see your preference for the graphics provided by Active Dolls. Their models are far stranger looking - not remotely human (more Anime styled), it only supports 4 different video resolutions (1280 x 1024 not being one of them) and texturing and lighting are quite simplistic - I would say on par with 3D Sex Games. I would totally understand if you stated 3D Stripper had a superior graphics engine, as it does. Projected shadows, bump mapping, a 3D model body & face designed by the same guy that designed the faces for Final Fantasy: Spirits Within. That game has many problems of its own though.
I guess I see 3D Sex Games as having the largest selection of options and activities of all the games while having reasonably good graphics and a somewhat regular update schedule. All in all, in my opinion, this makes it the best of games available and I graded it as I did in relation to the performance of its peers.
Meh, so much of this question depends on what type of person your boss is and what your relationship with them is. My current boss has asked the question and gotten an honest response. This is because of the type of person he is though. The first time I went to his house (for the annual company x-mas party) there were Peter North DVDs sitting on the TV in the living room. One could say our company doesn't have the normal, political correct atmosphere due to our boss. He often amuses himself by very loudly reading out the content of the most graphic porn Spam he has received that day. Of course, stuff like that is one of the reasons we try to make it very clear to him when walk-in customers are in the building.
So my answer with this boss was a simple "yes" - but with other bosses, I might have to pussyfoot more. In America's culture, it is still a rather taboo question, so if a boss were to broach the subject, I think it is rather telling about that person. If the boss is a woman - I'd disagree with Monahan's contention that it could be a sexual harassment situation that would get the employee fired, more likely the other way around - as the question states that it was the boss asking and on lunch break. Granted the no comment answer is safe enough, though will be seen as passively answering the question with an affirmative. I tend to be a rather honest person (I generally only lie for entertainment), so I'd still probably say yes - and because I'd be very curious as to why the question was being asked.
Still though, it very much depends on the person asking and the type of company and so on. If I didn't trust or like my boss, I might say no to simply kill the conversation.
Overlap of models or of actual photosets? I've been a member of both sites simultaneously in the past and only saw overlapping of models. If they've started overlapping sets, well, that is a sad thing.
No, he has many different series - though most of them are shot in a POV format. Usually the series are based on some sort of basic (usually silly) fantasy - babysitter, how to pick up girls, a model shoot that goes a bit farther, so on and so forth. Mr. Moore is pretty amusing so the videos are usually watchable, though frequently odd.
The main issue I had with his site is that it was incredibly confusing to navigate and the video quality was often rather low and only available in segments.
Porn Stars have a tendency to just vanish from the scene all of a sudden, so I don't bother specifically hunting for certain models anymore. I certainly do remember many and will download them right away if I happen across them, but I search for sites whose content in its entirety attracts my attention.
Unfortunately I no longer have an active membership with them - so I can't check to be 100% sure, but if memory serves, in their big ass list of random categories they had a natural or real or something like that category. Now whether or not models were correctly placed in it, that is an entirely different matter. I know they weren't exactly consistent on other categories :-P
Good point. The implants aren't necessarily silicon; I got a bit overly specific - some could be Saline or perhaps something all together more alien. I did go through the models and count exactly how many of them were specified as natural - thereby getting the 84% figure. I just wanted the readers to realize that you are getting a lot of bottle blondes and a lot of surgically augmented bodies.
While I love the enthusiasm present in models from American mainstream porn - I personally don't like severely altered physiques that chase the Barbie ideal. I don't mind tattoos or piercings (sometimes they are awesome) - but enhanced breasts, noses, chins, et cetera - can make for some unnerving results and almost always diminish the model's beauty in my eyes. I think Jeremy Clarkson said it very well in last season's Top Gear:
"Mind you as Francis Bacon once said 'There is no beauty that hath not some strangeness about its proportions'. And he's right, whoever he is. I'm mean, look at Keira Knightley: She's just an ironing board with a face, and she works."
Don't worry - if they could replace Lloyd Bridges' tongue with one supplied by a Labrador Retriever, I think they can do it for your nose. They have the technology. They will rebuild you.
Ha ha, I love the second RE movie, not the others so much. Excluding the "twat shot" in the first one of course - Milla's own words btw (check out the commentary track).
As for origins of the zombie apocalypse scenario? The poll stated that the pornstar was "walking on the road beside you". To be walking two abreast (::snicker::) on the road, I surmised there mustn't be cars on the road. Since there aren't any cars on the road, the obvious conclusion is that society as we know it has been torn asunder by a Zombie Apocalypse.
You are more than welcome in my fortified zombie-repellent compound, pat362. I hadn't thought of large snowblowers - those are designed to take some serious punishment, no doubt.
As for the reason zombies eat brains - well there are a number of possible explanations. Most experts say zombies need living human blood to get the right nutrients, enzymes, chemicals and so on to function optimally. The brain is an excellent blood source and is a great protein source. Another idea is that zombies can regenerate some of their brain either by eating active synapses or perhaps the stem cells. The idea is that your basic zombie has little more than their brain stem working. That is why almost all upper level functions are down - they are like a common house fly, running on nothing but reflex. It is possible that a zombie fed healthy human blood regularly will retain near human appearance and cognitive abilities.
Of course, a zombie is also 100% uninhibited. This means that unlike normal humans, they have a continual supply of adrenalin, so they aren't exactly inhumanly strong, they just will happily tear their own ligaments and break their own bones to achieve their goal - whatever it may be. Eating you is probably pretty high on their list.
All things considered, it is unlikely the goal of a zombie is to eat your brains specifically. The idea that zombies hunger for the brains of the living may stem from a witness seeing a zombie consume the head of a human. A zombie will eat your brain, but that is because they will eat just about anything with a heart beat. (Though only human blood is certain to benefit human zombies.) It is important to note that zombies do not need their heart. They will continue operating without any part of their body excluding the brain stem. If you destroy that, you destroy the zombie. It is unfortunate for those who behead zombies low on the neck only to find the disembodied head gnawing on their ankle moments later.
Another note on killing zombies, while fire can destroy them, it'll take a little while. Just because a zombie is in flames doesn't mean it isn't still dangerous. Keep your distance from any active zombie.
Since we were both walking on the road I must conclude that the world is ending in a zombie driving apocalypse so I doubt his or her expertise in the porn industry would be of much use at that point. I would try my best to keep them alive for the later months when we need to focus on repopulating the earth. However, my first priority would be acquiring access to a secure strong-hold.
Government buildings built between the 1950's and 1970's are often heavily constructed as they were designed to be shelters in the case of national disasters. It would be best to locate a building with some sort of motor pool and welding equipment, as we will need to armor the vehicles needed for supply runs. There are a number of factors that need to be addressed though. If the building doesn't have electricity, then we need generators. Generators need gas, so acquiring a tanker truck would be a good idea. Also - water services will probably be down, so we'll need to drill a well - that also takes specialized equipment.
Then there is the problem of the zombie population. Zombie and fire don't mix well, so a large amount of the population could be culled by burning the surrounding area. If you can get your hands on some harvesters, you might be able to grind up crowds of them and burn the remains. Snow Plows would also work, but the DOT facility for those will probably be on the edge of town, so getting to them could be tough. Then again, the same applies for the harvesters unless you can locate an in town dealership.
In any case, I suppose a pornstar could provide some entertaining conversation for the low spots between resource acquisition and the zombie onslaughts.
