Just to be curious, what kind of program and/or hardware does one use to download a site? I don't know if I would be interested in doing so on a site the size of Karups but it might be useful on smaller ones.

never heard about that kind of drm.....if it works, it would be k, but i agree with your givin points because of changing the computer, making backups e.g.
if i win the next time draw, i will maybe try the membership :)

yeah, i totally agree to youre opinion with the drm. it`s for me an absolutely no for joining a site.
you read the terms of condition? it is always to unsecure. i think that they change the toc faster then you can read them. it is always hard to prove which toc were the right ones when you have joined. only printing out would be a opportunity...but what a waste of paper :)...
the girl looks interesting. i saw here live on livecams and she gave a proberbly good show. the promo vid looks interesting, wether the quality doesn`t seem to be high...wihtout drm i would give it a try also for 30$ (if i want to have something... ;) )

Well I'd say that's a clever marketing strategy. The want to make you reconsider if you really want to cancel. I've seen that with other sites too but can't remember which ones. In the end when I decided to cancel I'm off :-)
But is that really worth an extra comment about this site?

Hi Badandy400, thank you for taking the time to write a review of our site.
I'm not sure if you noticed, but we are currently in the process of upgrading the navigation of our entire member's section.
If you take a look at our Updates Page, all photo releases
do offer zip packs of an entire scene of a model as well as offer zip packs for each individual set within a scene.
But now that we're releasing full scenes instead of breaking them up into sets, there will only be full scene zip packs available.
Remember that we have been in business since 1996 and its true that many of our older models such as Adriana Malkova do offer
smaller zip packs but back then most people had a dial up connection to access the internet.
However, as we update even the older models such as Lilian Lee (And Monique Alexander - coming this Saturday), you can now download each entire scene at once or download the partial sets, whichever you prefer.
Please take another look around and I hope that you revise your rating accordingly :-)

I think it was M & B - not entirely sure. But what I remember was, that they reinstated my access when I "canceled my canceling" - I did'nt want to be rebilled and then canceled a couple of days before end of term...

Perhaps I mis-read the line where you described the number of zips you would need to down-load - if people want to download an entire site that has been around for as long as ALS Scan, they should definitey expect to be downloading huge numbers of zips.

Your description of the zip issue is not correct - unless there is an error with a particular photo set, the fewest you should be able to download are a full page worth of pics at a time, not 1 zip per pic. If you're finding a problem where that is not the case, you should notify their Support people, who want to know about these things so they can fix them. I know others here have complained about having to download 1 page of pics at a time, and that's a valid criticism.
The bigger-boobed models that they shoot are on their sister site, ALS Angels, which doesn't have nearly the updates as ALS Scan.

Nope, no restrictions. I can go as long as I want, browse as long as I want, download as much as I want. The only thing that might constitute a restriction is that they recently decided to do away with the binary section of their news server. I guess it was being used too heavily. But nowadays most people don't even know what the usenet is so there was only muted protest from the few who did all the downloading of multi-part binaries ... read videos. :-)
And I keep thinking how great it will be to have a forum for general discussion of things exactly like this one, rather than tack our remarks on to a review.

Yep, it's ultra high speed through our Cable Company. They give it to us for quite an attractive price if we subscribe to their bundle of phone, cable and Internet. Of course, high speed's only as good as the site you visit. And thanks for the explanation I never caught on to the difference between bits and bytes. :-)

It's as close to regular fraud as it gets.
You pay for a month access and no matter when you cancel rebilling, you should be able to access for the full month - YOU PAID FOR IT.
I think one of the sites at Top 20 at TBP used to have that rip-off-policy too, but removed it.
It's of course only a matter of money for these site-owners. A speculation in costumers forgetting to cancel after a while, so they can charge again.
So.... great with the warnings about this Pass.

Here's how it went. I got a trial sub to another of their sites. When I called to cancel, I said, "Hey, I've always wondered what the difference is between this site and Cyberclub." The woman on the phone said, "Well, Cyberclub is our flagship and you ought to check it out. Would you like me to set you up for a free trial?" I said, "Hell yeah!"
I liked the trial, but wasn't interested in paying full price. When I called to cancel the free trial, I told the woman customer service person that and she said, "Well would you joing for $6.95/month?" I said, "Hell yeah!"
And so it went - from an inexpensive trial of one site to a free trial to a deal of $6.95/month.

Sorry about that. I go by what I read and am not a technophile, even though I like computers. :-) This is the reading I got on a speed test a moment ago: 14976 kbps (1872 KB/sec transfer rate) and my transfer rate for the site reviewed always shows as approx. 300 KB/sec transfer rate.

Yes, they look great! I would never join a site just because they offer HD videos but it's a real thrill when such a great site offers them! I was happy with their SD videos but the HD videos really got me hooked!
I have my eye on a few more similar sites that offer HD videos so I'll let you know what they're like when I join.

I don't really pay much attention to the technical stuff as long as they look good. I just checked some videos that I downloaded from her site.
The SD videos are 640x480 @ 2,000 Kbits
The new HD videos are 1920x1080 @ 5,000 Kbits
