I guess the review was short because there really isn't much content at all; I did state that you could get anything of value from the site in a very short time, but perhaps I should have elaborated a bit on it.

GCode, not in this case. There really is a paltry amount of content. I read and re-read the other review and the only thing I agree with is that the girls look like locals and are not pros.
I gave it a 50 rating because out of all the sites I have tried it was the worst. I would have given it somewhere around 20 if a lower rating were possible.
There is much better content available free.

After looking at the preview of gynox.com I can see a few differences. Specialexamination is definitely more softcore in its approach, and less emphasis on trying hard to seem real. It seems less fetishy, if you get my drift. Its approach is a lot simpler and direct with more emphasis on nudity as opposed to the medical theme.

The only thing I didn't like was the way Nella (from ALS Scan, Met Art, Sapphic Erotica, etc.) looked with her jet black hair with bangs. I can't stand bangs! They make models look more like fake, plastic porn actresses than horny girls next door.

Well, as far as extreme spreading goes, it really depends on the model, but yes, generally they do it with fingers, not just toys and "devices". I would say about 90 to 95% of models use a speculum, and a few just choose not to, but the vast majority of them do use it in at least one scene. They all use toys (who doesn't?) and fingers, though I would say toys and other insertables get the maximum effect for the "quick pullout" shots they like to get, that is, where they get a temporary gape. :) And they love fisting, though that seemed to be tapering off slightly when I was last a member (December '08), but there is still plenty of it there.
As far as ALS Scan vs ALS Angels goes, yes, it is pretty much petite (regular ALS) vs thick and busty (Angels), but it is a subtle difference unless you are into breasts. Older models -- say, from 1990s through early 2000s -- with big breasts (C and up) are on ALS, but after that, they are primarily all on Angels. A few of these Angels girls made it to the regular site for some girl-girl shoots and an occasional Caribbean trip -- like Carli did for their 2007 Caribbean trip -- but they stay mostly on ALS Angels.
If you haven't been a member of either, and big breasts, or lack thereof, aren't a big deal, then I would recommend ALS Scan first. Yes, it is five dollars more, but there is so much more content there, due to archiving that goes way back, plus most of their content goes there, so they have more regular updates.
I hope this helps, but I haven't been a member in seventh months :( so maybe starting a comment and asking for a second opinion would give you a better idea, as I am sure some of our regulars are current members.

Thanks for the update. I think my main concern was the lack of transparency, in that it requires diligent research (as you have done), to uncover the censorship within this website. By promoting a fully uncensored section, the less cynical (me) would presume the beautiful girls posted on the main pages of this site would be included. But no, only older women, older videos, likely not Japanese, are exclusive to non censorship. The amazing younger beautiful girls are ALL covered...truly disappointing. Anyway, the site owners begrudgingly refunded my fee.

The other issue - and the issue that really gets me - is their false advertising. If Brazzers thinks it's such a great deal to offer downloads of HD material after 6 months of continuous membership, how is it that 2 weeks after they announced that this is how they are handling this, they haven't put up "Download All HD Vids After Only 6 Months Of Continuous Membership!" all over the outside of their site. There is no indication on the outside of their site that there is any waiting period - never mind a 6 month waiting period.
They haven't put that up because they know it's a deal that nobody would want, if they told people in advance - so instead they do this totally dishonest bait-and-switch bull-shit.
It's thievery, in my opinion. There have been sites that have had crazy multi-level memberships - and if they're going to do that and be honest about it, that's fine with me. Brazzers is being completely dishonest about the way that they are handling this HD issue. And just try to deal with their "customer service" about this.
I just despise this site for their business practices.

If you still have your membership and want to get a laugh out of a music track, check out the Eve Angel/Black Puma video, it was filmed in two parts. This was either the first or second video set Twistys had of Eve. The music is a direct loop all the way through, but it gets damned catchy after awhile!

Hey GCode, I never tried this site because it is owned by the same guys that run FC Nudes. My review has probably expired of FC Nudes, but you can still check it out. To put it mildly, they over-exaggerate in their tours and once on their site as a member. I barely remember FC Nudes, but I do remember that the advertised something like 70 models including my favorite Eve Angel. I joined it. Got inside, the model list starts listing the models...no Eve Angel! I finally find her and click her picture. It says, "Coming soon". There was around 30 of these different models that were "coming soon", so there was really on 35-40 models available. It was probably the worst I had ever been duped by a site. I still didn't give them a 50, I believe a 59, but I really wouldn't recommend their sites unless someone posts and can confirm that they have improved their business practices.

Let me reply to your inquiries. There are no shoots missing. TPB data are not from re-launching the site in Oct 08 but from Aprial 09 as they are updating the facts from time to time.
The site is updated regulary once a week with fresh and exclusive content we shoot - not any bought content, not any non exclusive content. I already mentioned what is in members are with each girl, solo photoset, nurse phtoset, gyno exam photoset, gyno exam HD videos and solo or nurse HD video with girl gaping her pussy and playing with speculum.
You can never please everyone so I understand MargulisAZ does not like the site and the content, but I can not see how more gyno exam content and pussy details content should be there. It is only the content I mentioned.
It is up to personal taste if the girls are pretty or not. We got many requests to keep the girls exactly as they are, in my opinion they are mostly nice, of course dont expect Playboy type girls. But thats what members said they do not want, most of them wants regular girls. So they are getting them.

Anyway beside downloading HD videos there is absolutely no problem with speed, for browsing the site, downloading pictures, watching Flash videos it is pretty fast even if you are unlucky and can not get 300kbs. Beside HD videos normal videos are available to download for those with slower connection.
Missing links: I took my time and browsed through the Vault. Honestly I though it will be MUCH worse cause the Vault section was just taken from the previous version of the site. Marquis must have had really bad luck when trying the Vault links. In video section I coulted only ONE broken video. the other section NO broken links except Gallery section where I counted 6 links that should lead to videos (out of almost 70 girls there!). Overall I counted 7 broken links out of thousands links there. I spent quite long time there but of course except the videos I wasnt clicking everything cause it would take the whole day but what I tried was working except links mentioned.
Overall, based on the Marquis review the site looks like sh*t which definetely is not. The site is regulary updates, we take care of this site and it has been living. For sure there is room for improvement...

I think a lot, maybe the majority, of girls who enter porn do so with only short term goals in mind. Maybe a year of two, not the decade and a half Jenna has been going at it, though I doubt even she knew she was going to last as long as she has.
Even if a girl is knock down, drag out popular, if she does not have the intent to stay in the business, then the industry will in turn not work to make her a superstar. If there is a profitable fan base, they might try and convince her to stay at least as long as she can make money.
I will chalk up part of my theory, and the fact that my favorite models have short careers, to the fact that I personally steer away from the mainstream, and to me, awards represent nothing but the mainstream, so they will always be meaningless to me. I hate most mainstream porn, and all the "superstars" and awards that come with it, so generally speaking, if I like a certain model, it is partly due to her not being a star.
And as far as Jenna Jameson is concerned, she is blond and beautiful, and seems to have rightfully earned her fan base and the unique level of popularity only she can enjoy. To me, she has outsmarted and outfoxed the system, and as a result controls her career, without even performing in front of a camera anymore. But I will also blame her for every breast implant surgery and blond Barbie doll look that so many young models have gone for.

I think it is the industry, not the fans, that ultimately decides who makes it and how much they make, as well as the stars in question. The companies write and offer the contracts, the girls sign them and, hopefully, fulfill them (some of these models have gotten huge contracts quite early on, and I just can't imagine any of them saying “no, thank you”).
Yes, we the fans dictate their popularity, but I think a lot of it has to do with how someone is presented and marketed. This is going to sound cruel and cold, but in porn the girl is the product, and therefore she has to sell herself, and I do not mean just her body, but her personality, her act -- the whole package. Some of my favorite models over the years never seem to have gotten it all right, no matter how obviously hot, or just generally appealing, they were -- and most of them are gone.
Personally, I am not a fan of the biggest names in porn; I just don't see the appeal (why exactly is Jenna Jameson the biggest name in porn?), and my preference is usually for the unknowns to the almost amateurs. Nothing I hate more than to see a girl I love plastered all over a dozen sites doing virtually the same thing, or appearing in scores of DVDs repeating the same set of acts. To me, there is something special about a more restrained girl who you have to seek out to find her work; then the catch is that much more fun. :)

Sometimes we don't follow our own advice. I had intended to wait another four - five months before re-subscribing but am so hungry for some quality material that I am seriously contemplating re-subscribing during the next week or so! :-) I just hope that after my high praise you won't be disappointed once you finally join. I might also go back to AllOver30 soon, but in their case it would be for the pictures, not for their videos.

Anilos spoiled me for good when it comes to Mature Women, GCode and any video of lesser quality just won't do anymore. FTV and In The Crack (2008>) are very good as well when it comes to the quality of their videos but neither is exactly fitting my primary niche which is "mature!"

Not quite - earlier TeenDreams had maybe the best teen-solo-videos. And some of those early videos I have NOT found anywhere else - and they are still a part of my favorite archived-solo-videos.
I'm really NOT sure if they produce videos, at all - I think Drooler knows more about that.
But lately they seem to have much more non-exclusive videos - and I just miss the idea of getting some of those rather new teen-models thay have on photosets - on videos, too.
BUT if you never been there, it sure is worth a try - and if a video-freak - go back to some of the older stuff - the quality is ok there, too.
