I think you're quite right about their intentions, and also about how common it is for sites to release updates over long periods of time.
And there are worse sites. Pretty Nudes might be the worst of all in terms of how shoots are piecemealed, with the pieces being released over many, many months and even years. I doubt it makes for much popularity.
And ALS Scans used to do the same kind of thing with their shoots. It is nice to know now that when you get a shoot, you'll get all of it. Well, except for the pics in the promo release. Oh, and the blog ... ;)

Thanks for the tip. I may have to take a membership in June or July to see that. While I really like nude beach stuff (and ALS does this very well) I don’t have the same interest in nudity on a public beach as I do with true “public” nudity. Still, after I downloaded all the true public nudity on ALS I started on all the Caribbean stuff.
As for “financing” the trips, I have no problem paying membership fees for sites of this quality. ALS Scan has the value-for-money equation figured out and I’m happy to pay for the quality and volume. It’s also one reason why I never share porn with friends – I just tell them what sites to get a membership at so they can contribute too.

That hardcore scene was a bonus of another site's content caught behind the scenes by ALS--not exactly there regular material by any means, and not even theirs really. I didn't like that idea at all, but it was irregular material so I didn't make much of it.
Maybe I should blame Tanner Mayes since she's in both your examples...though I am sure if I had been the cameraman she would've been asking for a plane ticket home not if I wanted to play 'never-never land.' : - (

Yes, some of the really early stuff of ALS didn't look so hot remastered, including the stuff in the Zoe bonus, which was too bad but what could they do? And some looked even worse.

Thanks for the info. Back in the old days they never actually had any of the CD sets on the website, they only had smaller (lower quality) sets of the same models plus blooper and outtakes series. Sounds like they only have the content that was available on the site and they havent added the CD's. Shame :(

I would be disappointed when ALS would change anything in design because it's part of their identity. They are, what they are and it works.

I like your replies PinkPanther and appreciate your points of view. I agree that if there is content of a particular model you need to bug them a bit, but to be honest I've done that in the past and still didn't see a lot of what I asked for so I lost interest in doing that. Again, maybe that's just because my tastes aren't often in line with the norm (just look at a bunch of the sites I review). And yes, from a business standpoint it does make sense to release what is popular. I just don't like that system of releasing content because like you said again in your recent reply, there is a lot of content you see on promo pages that you just never see, literally, ever. Perhaps I'm the 1% of the population that has a problem with that, but hey, that's me.

Difference of opinion then. I know that's how Als works as far as updates go, but there have been multiple times in the past that I like a model that is apparently not popular, and as you say, it can take months to a year to see all the content. I ask the question why have a system where that is even an option to happen? Why not just release all a model's content over the course of a few weeks and not leave anyone out who may like a model the masses do not?

Sounds like another great Caribbean trip as always, though who exactly did they bring along? All those models you listed have been there for a while -- at least a year it seems -- and I was curious if they brought any new girls for the trip.
I am thinking of rejoining for the umpteenth time this summer and can't wait to load up my hard drive again...the content always overwhelms me. :)

I have gone through their preview site several times. Having been burned in the past by terrific preview sites where the actual site is not even close to the promises, when I read the comments and reviews for ALS written earlier I got the feeling that there was some hesitation by others. You, on the other hand, sounded enthusiastic so I put ALS on my long term list to consider again in spring 2009.
That's why I asked if the updating and improvements you reported were continuing.
Clearly they have a first class site and clearly the time is right to sign up.

LOL! They might have reduced the watermarks since 1999, Pink Panther. Wish I could somehow see an example of the new ones. I know they were always in either the left or right upper corner next to the model's head where you couldn't miss them no matter how hard you tried and they were big. You had me all excited about the hairy legs (NOT), I think you have a cruel streak in you! :-) In any case, thanks!

Yeah, I emailed him and told him I wrote it. I sort of figured it would get posted, since he mentioned it last Friday.
Alex's response is what I was expecting, and ALS is proud of what they shoot, as well as how they do it (as they should be). If they weren't, all the girls they continue to select might not still be as shaved and hot as the ones were when they first started in the '90s.

Interesting I figured they would do some photoshopping for sure but like you said in the videos especially the hd videos alot of the pussies are just as clean and bump free. But if they are photoshopping out all the normal bumps and still make the pictures look that great, then they got some excellent color correctors on staff.

I couldn't agree more; no direction can equal a good video. Usually it's just the model looking at camera, then talks to herself, "finds" toy under pillow/seat cushion, proceeds to orgasm, goodbye wave. Sometimes this can be pretty cool, like the Amy Lee/ Kacey Jordan fistin' and pumpin' scene, but it was a big relief to see videos without the director's constant influence (minus the goofy male assistants, a growing problem).
