In the 1987 movie Wall Street, Michael Douglas as Gordon Gekko gave an insightful speech where he said, "Greed, for lack of a better word, is good." He went on to make the point that greed is a clean drive that "captures the essence of the evolutionary spirit. Greed, in all of its forms; greed for life, for money, for love, knowledge has marked the upward surge of mankind."
In real life, greed is far more prevalent than most people realize.
Corporations, and the 1% (the people with the most money who are also the smallest % of the population) hide their wealth from taxes and governments with illegal schemes.
That are not secret.
But the illegal schemes are embedded in the way big governments operate.
So porn is just following suit, when they try to rip customers off.
Years ago, I read a comment from some teen in Nigeria, who said he was justified in scamming people out of their money because most people have too much money.
End of rant.

Sad but very true on many walks of life.
Porn is particularly rampant with it though, it's hard enough to dodge all their bullets. The industry is suffering as it is thanks to tube sites and piracy but these methods will deter people even more from joining up - how ironic.
Their greed won't stop us from voicing our concerns though when it goes too far. This site has been growing very quickly since its conception years ago so anything to help others from getting unwanted charges is good enough for me.
Sometimes we have to take one for the team.
