Awesome question. I'm honestly not sure. It would depend where the resort was located. It does sound like a pretty random idea. I'd prob just have to bring a flag for the first couple hours or so, or until the fat guy runs by.

Nope. Not even in the shower at home.
I'm a never-nude.

Nudity if for pictures of beuatiful women, the shower, sex, and jerking off. Otherwise, keep it to yourself. We all know that there are generally no good looking women at nudist camps anyway. Just if you want to see overweight middle aged people flopping around I guess it would be great for you.

I usually practice nudity in the shower.
I don't even own a shower cap.

"We all know that there are generally no good looking women at nudist camps anyways." Jeepers, that's a broad statement for someone who probably hasn't attended. The gals at the three I've visited minic the US population. But the resorts are nearly all family-run, family-oriented, so babe spotting is an unwanted behaviour.

No babe spotting would defeat the purpose for me!
It is a very broad and likely uneducated statement. I never have been to one and never will. I do not see the appeal in hanging around a bunch of naked people with no sexual innuendos at least.
I know for one of two things would happen. One I would have a hard on the whole time, thus embarrassment. Or I would be extremely limp and shriveled, thus embarrassment. I am sure people do not say much about it there, but I would still be very self conscious and not get a lot of enjoyment out of it. Perhaps this is all my ignorance showing through, but I do not intend on finding out personally.
So if you have been to a few and can testify that there are good looking people there than I will stand corrected at your word. I have seen many nudist videos and picture scattered over the internet and extremely rarely is there anyone that i would call attractive. That is the bases for my opinion, however weak of a base it may be. But you wont find me sitting naked by the lake with my buddies!

I don't think it is a very big part of American culture, what with our Puritan background and the demands of the colder climates in many parts of our country. We are so hung up on the "evils" of nudity, I am sure you can find people who would even call it un-American.
I think a lot of us (myself included) have been so conditioned to simply think that nudity=sex, and therefore a nudist resort could be some free-for-all nonstop orgy -- but everyone is unattractive -- instead a way to just relax without clothes.
Personally I would like to try it at least once with friends and some extremely strong sunblock, as my skin is not up the task of being exposed to the sun for very long. And if they are all "overweight middle aged people" then I would at least have less to be self conscious about.

I've gone skinny dipping a time or two with folks and once with a lady, but nothing "official." No beaches. Just a body of fresh water.
If it were I beach, I'd want to look up the recommended strength of the sunscreen I'd need to protect 'ol John Henry. ;)

Intriguing question, one that I haven't thought much about. I would say it's on my bucket list, why not? For better or worse it would be a memorable experience. I would probably want to take a girlfriend though, going alone or with a dude is not appealing.

OH NO! You've never seen Arrested Development?! It was a great show.
In the television show Arrested Development, the characters of Tobias Fünke and Philip Lit suffer from gymnophobia. In the world of the show, they are referred to as "never nudes", and they wear cut-off denim shorts at all times to avoid being completely naked.

I voted "Not at all interested". I've been to nude beaches a few times, didn't really have a problem being nude around other people, I wasn't bothered by other nude people, but missed the uplifting ultimate 'freedom feeling' that some nudists say the experience.
