I'm giving up my normal movies. Sure, I have some great ones, but I'm playing fair here and letting one go instead of taking the "Can't choose" answer. My thinking is that with cable tv, I can at least still see some of those movies, but cable doesn't get porn!

Does normal movies include DVDs with tv-series, sketch shows etc.? Regardless I also went with keeping my porn collection. The normal movies can be replaced by other interests if necessary (football, books, random internet surfing, gardening etc.), while pruning your roses doesn't really fulfil the needs that porn is meant to. ;-)

I would say that I would give up my "normal" movie collection if I am understanding the question correctly.
First of all my regular collection of movies is not that big compared to the amount of porn I have, even if you consider all the TV series.
But more importantly, I have spent a lot of time over the years finding some great internet porn, and I'd hate to never see some of them again.

This would be a very hard call for me, that is why I wanted to ask it. I would give up my normal movies if I really had to. They would be easier to get back, plus there is cable and satellite.

One of the benefits of being more of a porn picture guy. Dump the porn movies? No problemo. However, I own very few regular movies so losing them would be no big deal either.

Normal movies because they keep re-releasing them in infinite editions, plus all the times they show them on TV, whereas porn seems to be too often limited; miss something and you might never see it again!

Seems odd. There is very little difference in the result so far between those who would dumb the normal movies as compared to porn. However, every reply post thus far has been from people who would not give up there porn, well with the exception of WittyGuy but he did not make his answer all that clear. So one might deduce that if you post here regularly than you would not want ride of your porn. I guess that makes sense, after all look at the people who are being asked. Buncha porn addicts anyway! :)

This is very easy for me. I pick normal movies.
Normal movies make me smile, cry, think, react, ponder, escape to new worlds. All porn does is give me a woody.
The best analogy I can come up with is that if porn is the great sex you have with your girfriend and normal movies is all the rest then which one do you think is more important?

For me it's a no-brainer. I would give up my porn movie collection.
I have a large porn photo collection.
But my porn movie collection is small:
-mainly short clips.
-some clips that are longer, that might be called movies. They are certainly not movies in the sense of having a plot or characterization or anything; just a series of oral sex mixed with intercourse, both anal and vaginal.
I do have a large collection of "normal" movies, of many different genres/types. Most of them are far more interesting than the porno clips I have.
I enjoy my porn picture collection far more than most of the porn "movies" that I've seen.
But then again, I've never joined any of the porn video box sites, to watch those porn movies. And I've never rented any of the porn DVD movies.
I have watched "Emanuelle" and "The Story of O" and some other movies, that I thought were porn movies when I first saw them. But by today's standards, many if not most members of PU would probably not categorize those movies as porn, rather as "erotic" or sexy movies.
Those movies were enjoyable, and worth watching more than once.
