I think 2 or 3 days is fine. I don't really have a strong opinion though.

I think 2 days is fine....I think it would get boring to see the same poll question sat on the home page for a week. Not sure it would encourage more users to respond if it was up longer, always seems to be the same old users responding over and over again.

The first results show how out of tune I am with the majority of PU members. It also shows how in tune the TBP staff are with PU members. I voted 5 days, but for people who are here every day, it is almost certainly better to have 2 or 3 day polls, as it continually engages them with a new topic.

2 days is fine for me - I check in most days and it's nice to have a new poll to vote on regularly!

2 days - fine. 3 days maximum - I'll miss getting new poll more often, if it went up to five days...

Anywhere from 2 to 4 days is fine with me. I could even accept 5 days if I have to. Does that make me easy to get along with?

For those that visit everyday or every-other day I agree with the majority so far that 2 days is fine. However it is not just about the majority. I think to encourage more people input perhaps 5 days. is a nice medium. I am pretty much a regular in the PU hangout and even I miss polls, so made me think as often as I am here and miss polls I am sure others and then the debate would be better.

I voted for a week.
Easier to administer & you don't rifle through the questions so fast! ;0)

I voted 2 days because it is my belief that those who are interested in our polls are here on a regular basis anyway. I would get bored waiting for a new one for too long.

Not to crush TheSquirrel like a piece of roadkill but I also voted for the status quo. Two days keeps it new and interesting. You can also go back and look at previous polls and add votes / comments later on (I sometimes do) so you still have access, you just have to make few more clicks of the mouse.

I'm okay with just two or three days. I admit that sometimes I can't get on the site and therefore lose any meaningful way to comment on a poll (yes, I know I can still post but the chances of engaging the regulars in a debate is much less) but I can live with that.

2 days is just fine. If I miss any and have opinion (as I usually do), I can go through them in a list form.

They could be closed based on days (at least 2) and number of votes, but that could be tricky. It would be good to leave them around long enough to get a fair sample. I don't know how many voters would miss a poll due to a couple of days of inactivity.

I like the two day rule because it keeps it fresh, but if I miss a few days I always go back to the master list of poll questions and catch up on answering what I missed.
