I hate the 'customer is always wrong' attitude that a lot of adult websites have, so really appreciate this heads-up. I've had the same problem on another website and suspect it was because my IP number changed. The webmaster DID reply, but only to basically say I had ripped content/shared the password which definitely was not the case.
There's a thread on it here: https://www.pornusers.com/forum/forum_th...d.html?threadid=2803 (not that it helps you I guess)

That's what gets me, Marcus .. the "I suspect it was such or such," because they leave you dangling, wondering what you did wrong in their eyes. And the suspicion of foul play increases when the link provided for an explanation does not work!

I'm surprised Epoch didn't respond to your problem.
But at least you posted a warning, which should help PU members to avoid this site.

Yes, I was surprised myself, lk2fireone. Epoch are usually very good when it comes to requests like that. First I tried to get in touch through their on-line support but found that they no longer had my purchase number in their data base, then I decided to send an email to support regarding the matter complete with the details of the purchase, yet, as I wrote, they never responded. If it had been a very active site with loads of daily updates I might have pushed a bit more for an answer but because only one more (not so hot) update was at stake I let things slide. So, if this comment can be a warning to others then I can rest easy about the "lost week." Still would love to know what was behind the "ban" though.

I think adult websites think their customers are too embarrassed about their purchase to complain - the service can be awful.
I am disppointed in Epoch - I thought they were trustworthy but this puts me off using them as a biller.
Maybe PU should have a section where we can review billing providers too!

Hi, GPL, I would not be too quick to turn my back on Epoch. I've had many dealings with them over the years and they've always been A1! Sometimes emails get lost in the cracks (read spam filters). I am sure that if I had sent them another one someone would have responded. I trust CCBill and Epoch above all others and actually prefer Epoch because they don't add on as many extra charges as CCBill.

What a crappy experience.
There's not enough info on this site, in my opinion, about customer service. So any info is appreciated, at least by me!
Thank you for the heads up!

Yep, it was crappy, GR. I was shocked because I had never been banned before. If I were a potential subscriber I would look at the site owners and steer away from any other sites they own because I have the feeling they are on their way out.
One sister site I subscribed to in the past, "Old Pussy Exam" was small enough to start out with but has in the meantime been split in two. This is purely subjective but I think they are breathing their last breath and are trying to make as much money as they can while they wait for the inevitable.

I have used Epoch many times in the past and they always had great customer support, strange that they wouldn't answer.
As a word of caution I'd recommend you change your passwords if you used the same for this site and another one, just in case someone hacked it.

Hi Dracken, I too have the highest regard for Epoch because they are very trustworthy and honest in my opinion. I have never had a problem when it came to a charge or cancellation. As to their support, just for the fun of it I wrote another email to them the other day and they responded quickly.
I was less than pleased with their answer though. All that support mentioned was that I should have tried their on-line help first, ignoring the fact that I had done exactly that and had told Epoch so in my email to them. I told him/her: never mind following up any further in connection with this site (or sites owned by this company), I don't care if I ever use it (them) again. And that I only asked from idle curiosity why I was banned, but if it was too much trouble to dig into the reason why, to forget about it.
Your advice re. passwords is appreciated. I have been getting a bit careless and will follow it! Thanks.
