Certainly. All the major ethnicities are widely available. I don't really miss the few missing, Eskimo, Native Americans etc. ;)
Central and Northern European probably aren't ethnicities but I could use more of them.

I would say no, most of the softcore arty nude glamour sites I enjoy have very little ethnic diversity and usually consist of 99% skinny white chicks. It's a shame because I love Asian, black and latina women and often get frustrated by the lack of good quality softcore photography sites featuring those women.

Once again I find myself agreeing with graymane.
I haven't thought much about it. But now that I am here are my thoughts:
There is a bit of a template, especially with the big studios. For example, on digitalplayground.com I can hardly tell the difference between Kayden Kross, Riley Steele, and BiBi Jones. Great if you love big tit blonds, but if your looking for ethnic variety - you're most likely going to be looking at the more independent studeios. While you can find anything your looking for (thank goodness) to get it you're gonna have to look!

I picked no but that's because I'm thinking about diversity in North American/European porn and not diversity with worldwide porn. If you look at the number of perforers appearing in most movies and most American and European porn sites than the vast majority of them are caucasian. You'll have some latin, some blacks and a few asians but they are still a significant minority.
If I look at porn around the world than the only ones that seem to be in a minority are female black performers.

Pushed Undecided today because I'm wondering if people getting into porn is divided down traditional ethnic boundaries of the population they exist in (say, like California). How are they suppose to break down anyway. Maybe there are not enough Native Americans participating.

idk Pat, if you look at someone like J.Darkko, he has entire movies dedicated to an ethnic group, though never one with just entirely Caucasian cast. But if you're looking at a specific producer then your observations might apply.

I'm not normally a libertarian, but in this case I'll let the market decide. If there is a niche left unfilled, then someone will likely step up to exploit it. I suspect in some cases the limits are as much cultural and market driven. I suspect it is a much bigger deal for a young woman coming from a repressive cultural background to make the decision to enter porn.

Sure - I think all ethnicities are pretty much represented in porn. More white people than any other in the sites I go to, but as they tend to be made in countries where white people are a majority it's to be expected.

I'm not saying that you don't have a number of different ethnic groups in US and European porn but that the number is pretty small. You are correct that some directors will even showcase a particular ethnic group but have you noticed that some performers are sometimes type cast as an Asian in one movie and then cast as a Latin in a different one.

I think there is. You get plenty of blacks, whites, and Asians of all kinds of persuasions and mixes. Jenna Haze (yes, she's retired, but her name lives on) was/is an ethnic mix.
Let's keep the PC out of porn, anyway, OK? It really kills the mood.

I really like black models because most have not followed the "enhanced" breasts craze and are not skinny sticks, a la Twiggy, if anyone still remembers her, and my impression is that ethnic models are under represented in picture sites but quite fairly represented in sites like Video Box. When it comes to other ethnic groups, like East Indian or Arab my assessment is that they are totally under represented, most likely because of the stigma attached to modelling in their societies.

My thoughts exactly. I've been looking for a site that provides good glamour photography for Black women for a very long time. ATK Exotics tries, but it really is trying to keep that Amateur appeal. I want Hegre Art and MET-Art style photography brought to black models, but so far basically nobody is doing it. Hegre has exactly one black model.
Latin models are lacking coverage as well. At least there are some options for Asian models, though still not as thoroughly covered as European & American models are.

I think there is a fair amount of diversity in porn, but I wouldn't mind if some of the larger sites got more diverse internally. I pretty much agree with what tangub said, I like a nice variety of women, it would be nice if you didn't have to join 5 different sites to get them.

Based on what I've been exposed to, my thoughts are no. The majority of marketed porn I've seen is primarily caucasian. Of course there are the stereotypically obligatory ethnic sprinkles of color here and there. Not excluding "specialty" porn & small independent providers. Actually, I think it may mostly based on marketing demands (ie. who spends the most money) and available models, more than exclusivity on the part of film makers. But, as with everything, there are always exceptions. I would personally love to see more diverse representation in porn.

I would say that racist stereotyping seems allowed in porn. And what is not stereotyped is mostly Caucasian.
I see people dressed up in all sorts of scenes that may be considered racist on regular TV or movies, but porn seems more liberal. I do not see ethnic fitting until stereotyping ends.
