No. On the other hand I've taken extra caution to join only sites that are consider trustworthy here on TBP and PU. There are sites that I'd join but the negative feedback regarding canceling subscriptions and bad customer service have made me decide to stay away. Their loss if mine too.

Not for the porn site I joined but for the little sneaky crap they secretly sign you up for.

Didn't actually get a refund but they did give me a month's subscription to another of their sites when a subscription I thought I'd cancelled went on for another month

I tried getting a refund on a pre-checked cross-sale site. But didn't get one.

I too only join reliable sites with independent billing (never had a problem with Karups though).
But, back in the dim and distant days before I knew of PU or TBP, or maybe before they existed, I joined a site on which my access worked for about 5 minutes and then deactivated. I contacted ccbill and they gave me a new login, on which the same thing happened. Then a third time. Then they offered and gave me a full refund. I did not have to ask.
Chargeback is likely to get your card banned on some billers and sites so it is not something to do rashly. Refund is far preferable.

I recall one refund that might've materialized, and that was with Figure Baby. The site's webmaster went all out to solve a technical problem that seemingly couldn't be fixed.
Although I'd already downloaded a sizable amount of material, He went ahead and initiated a full refund.
If you don't already know it, watch out for promises of refunds that somehow gets lost on-route.
Translated: They'll lay on it for awhile thinking you'll forget about it.

I've only had a few bad experiences and most of those were before I became a member here. Since joining here I try to avoid any site that TBP and PU don't support.

I only asked once from CCBill and they turned me down saying that they aren't responsible for what sites claim. I got shafted on an horrible site and I couldn't even post a bad review because I never found a listing for in on the site.

I never demanded one, but CCBill once gave me one on their own due to an inaccessible site. So that was kinda nifty.

Agree with Rusty, I have never been one to demand my money back for anything entertainment related regardless of how crappy it is, PU has definitely been helpful in avoiding this crap.

Yes, but only once. The site was new and there were technical difficulties that kept the content from loading. I contacted customer support and they arranged for CCBill to refund my purchase. I went back and joined the site a few months later when the technical difficulties had been worked out. I was quite surprised it worked out, as I thought I was going to have to eat the loss.

Yes a couple of times. Once I joined one gay site but received a subscription to another straight site instead - no use to me! Another time I joined a site and then when I tried to log in it said it was unavailable in the UK - odd it let me join then!
Still both times the biller was helpful and refunded me in full.

Yes I did once several years back in the days before PU. I'd seen a lot of photos on forums and tgp's of a cute model named Eva which carried the logo of a site named Planet Eva so I went and joined that site. After about 5 minutes it became apparent that they didn't actually have any of the content I had seen previewed on tgps within the site so I contacted CCBill and asked for the membership to be cancelled and refunded. Initially I got the same kind of response that Pat mentioned in that they can't be held responsible for the site's content but I was so pissed off I basically threatened CCBill that I would contact my credit card company and ask for a chargeback if they didn't refund me and on the back of that threat they refunded me immediately.
However next time I went to subscribe to a site using CCBill I found that credit card was blocked by them so I wouldn't recommend taking that course of action if you don't have alternative cards you can use. I later discovered all the old Planet Eva content had been moved to a different site called Purrfect Eva which I joined and was quite happy with.

That's a "gotcha" for sure: You have to bill through us, but we can't be held responsible ....
Not to mention a total cop out.

I had to contact CCBill several years back because my login information never got me access to a site I'd signed up for. (Name forgotten) I have to say I was surprised that here was no hesitation in their crediting back the card. I can only assume it was a known issue with the site.

Two words...CROSS SELLING! I have unchecked all the boxes, only to find them mysteriously rechecked after something like a mistyped CC was corrected. Once or twice I didn't notice until processing was complete. NOTHING misses me off more than that and I've blasted several sites because of it.

A few times actually. When a site didn't update anymore, when a site closed down, when a site claimed to be Mac compatible but wasn't or simply didn't deliver what they promised. My favourite was a site telling me: "Your account was blocked because you attempted to download more than 2 videos simultaneously.
As our agreement states, you have full access to videos, and there is no limit on how much you can download - there is however a system in place that prevents you from watching more than 2 scenes at one time." Blocking an account for that, loved it. Got my refund, thanks to Epoch!
