Very important. Unless they are not worth downloading of course as is the case with many video sites where they have just bad snapshots taken during video shooting or even screenies only.

Not important for me because I always pick and choose which images appeal to me that I want to keep.
I may find just nine or ten pics out of a whole set that do anything for me at all.

Definitely important, but not essential. Actually, how essential depends on how the site is built. I've joined some sites which make it almost impossible to download pics, and then the absence of zips is a big deal. OTOH recently at W4B, their max-size pics are not offered in zips, but it's daftly easy to download them all with, er, DownThemAll. In such cases, lack of zips wouldn't bother me too much.

As pics are my main interest full set zips are very important to me. It's rare that I would knowingly join a site these days without zips although I have managed to get to grips with grabbing unzipped galleries using Firefox DTA thanks to some helpful tips from other PUers in the forum but even that method is still more time consuming so zips would still be preferrable.

I'm more interested in the videos, so it's not that big of a deal. If there are some galleries I want I use a piece of software to automate downloading them.

I don't really like pics so it's not an issue for me, but if I did I think it would be vital. I've seen "photo" sites which just forced you to download them one at a time - it would take forever.
I've never quite got my head around zip files though...

I'm not a fan of pics but I always look at that option and a site loses points if they don't offer that option. The only ezception is sites that are mostly video only but offer pics to give an idea of what is available in the video.

Essential for me. I will not join a site which I know does not use zips. I first joined W4B without knowing its ridiculous policy on zips of large pics but I will not rejoin for as long as they retain that policy. Even though it is easy to get around with DTA, I boycott sites which think they can increase business by putting obstacles in your download path.
I find it quicker and easier to download complete zipped sets and then delete the unwanted pics rather than create custom zips. But I can see that custom zips are good if you want to keep far fewer than you would delete. Kudos to sites that offer the choice.

I am a picture guy, so sites without zipped sets will not get my business. I like the ability to make customized zip sets for download, but it is not necessary, I usually make my own custom picture files after a download anyway.

I don't download photos much, but when I have a membership that promotes photos and I have a chance to get some sets of favourite models I will defintiely download. And if that's the case, then zips are very important.

The lack of zip files would not stop me from joining a site so I would say they are a nice thing to have but not a necessity.

Zips are pretty much required for me, I don't have the time to go through it all otherwise, and I have found most of the image grabbing plugins pretty hit-and-miss.
