I find it easier to remember picking my own.
But the real issue is the sloppiness of the process when a site issues its own password. My experience is that about 50% of the time the assigned password will not work resulting in trying to get a valid password from the site.

I prefer to pick my own, just because then it's easier to remember, but I can see why websites automatically issue passwords because I'm sure some people's passwords are very weak.
I've never had a problem with websites that automatically issue passwords - the password is normally emailed, appears on the confirmation page and has always worked for me straight away.

Best to pick your own (as with noses). At least I have a chance of remembering it; some sights assign a completely random username and password, meaning I have to go back to the joining email every time.
Of course how annoying that is depends on how long the site leaves you logged in - some do for your entire browser session which is fine; but eg Watch4Beauty has random username/password AND logs you out after a short time.

I really don't mind either because I just let my browser remember the password so I only usually have to type them the first time I enter the member's area.

I pick my own, I run a very secure setting on my PC and browser does not save passwords that way. So I pick my own. My favorite password to use is ************* LOL
it is pretty secure and I have it memorized.

Generally, I pick my own. But since my browser stores all passwords, I don't mind when they pick it, as long as it works.

This is for those who download and save a site's material to separate folders. I always save a shortcut to the site and a notepad with my login details in every site's folder. I also name them both with the '@' symbol so they always show up first in any alpha/numerical list. That way, whether given by the site or made up on my own, the logins are always right in front of me and easy to find.

Certain sites assign you very hard to recall passwords which are network assigned & offer a more high level of security no doubt but being hard to recall, login & multiple logins are difficult hence this is ill advised. Reality Kings/Bangbros often provide default passwords but I'd to always check the purchase information for details

I like picking my own because I wont forget it. I find I have to keep going back to my email and copying/pasting to the website since porn sites dont save your passwords.
