Nice to see that 100% of poll respondees chose the same answer that I did.
Oh wait, look, I am the only one who took the poll :(

Well, 3 votes and it's still 100%.
Seriously, I actually read my review at least 3-4 times before I submit it (and I usually type it in a word processor before I put it here), but I still always find typos that I need to correct. Which is why I've asked for a preview button, because somehow reading it on the page always lets me find one or two of them that I've missed.

Always if I notice any. It's not much extra work for me and I hate typos.

It depends on whether the correction will clarify or correct anything in my review

I love it when I'm the first to respond. That way, as you said, I'm not only in the majority, I am the majority.

I think I've found typos in every review I've ever done. At one time, my typing skills were much better than they are today.

Not to come across as being too anal (pun not intended...) but I write reviews in MS Word and copy them into the PU review page. I do that because it takes me days to write a review but that also means it gets edited many times before it gets posted so by that time any typos should have been caught by either me or spell-check.

I have done on a couple of occasions but I do the same as rearadmiral and prepare my reviews in MS Word so any typos usually get highlighted and fixed before I post it.

I re-red before submitting, but as many of you know I still have things slip by me. When I notice it (or one of you is kind enough to point something out to me). I correct it as quick as I can.

Not that I've posted a review recently, but my method was to write the review in Word and edit it there so I wouldn't have to edit on the site for typos. However, occasionally a few would slip through and I'd still have to edit the review directly on the site. I absolutely loath typos.

I also use MS Word. I am highly anal about typos, punctuation and grammar. It is not possible to rely on Word alone. It will permit mistakes and object to things which are actually correct.

I am super anal about it. I sometimes go back four, five times just to correct small errors in grammar or spelling..

Yes! I too use a word processor for my initial building of a review. It usually takes me 3 or 4 days to write everything, even though they are short reviews. I need to think about what I want to say, and then I need to remember more before I post.
But I always find that I need to edit my thoughts all the way to the final point of posting.

I guess it's anal to edit only to correct typos, but not to ask about it by making it a poll question.

Yes, I'm quite the perfectionist in everything from reviews to emails and even SMS's. Nothing irks me more than to receive a SMS in text speak or a email with poor spelling and grammar.

REPLY TO #11 - Toadsith :
Word does a good job with basic spelling and grammar typos, but I always find at least a couple times where I type in a word that may be grammatically correct, but was not the word I meant to say in that place at all. Which is why even with that I have to read my reviews three or four times, and at least once a day or two after I originally wrote it.

For some reason I never notice typos until I post it, even if I write it in a Word processor first. I always try to fix it.
