Two is enough. Microsoft's version cannot probably be removed and then there's the one I actually use.

Two; Internet Explorer that came with the computer, and Chrome which I installed. Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of Chrome as it seems to lock up quite a bit.

If this question had been asked a year ago when I was on my old computer, I would have been using Flashpeak's Slimbrowser.
I find IE9 fine so haven't bothered installing another.

I'm on Linux so just have Chrome and Firefox. I use Chrome most of the time, and have done so for the last couple of years when I was using Mac OS. Seems most reliable, quickest and best for development.
Although I only use it on a Windows VM for development and testing, IE is better of late, definitely.

Two - like many I have Internet Explorer as you can't really get rid of it, but I never use it.
I prefer Firefox.
I've tried Chrome and Opera but didn't like either as much as Firefox so uninstalled them back.

I liked Chrome at first, but it lost its luster after some weird security update worked out with my antivirus. Basically, it became impossible to use.
Firefox is my gold standard, backed up by IE (just in case I need to use it to reinstall Firefox, ha-ha).
But that doesn't mean Chrome isn't popular. Check out www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp
As of last month, Chrome was well ahead of every other browser. IE, which used to take over 80% of the user stats, was down to a paltry 15.1%.
That's the price of arrogance. For years, Microsoft simply refused to comply with web standards, and the result was its "Internet Exploder" reputation. They made their bed, and now they're laying in it.

Three, a couple of months ago I bought a new computer which had IE and Chrome pre-installed. Mostly I just use IE but have also downloaded Firefox with DTA for those odd occasions when I find unzipped photo sets I want to download but mostly I stick with IE.

I'm too much of a Luddite to learn how to install and use a different browser.

I've used the "other main option" as long as I can remember. Netscape Navigator, then Communicator and now Firefox. Want to try Chrome too but really cannot find the motivation at the moment. FF add-ons and plugins are just too cool.

I use primarily IE but I also use Firefox. I like the download options available on Firefox so some sites I will only visit with Firefox.

4. Two versions of Firefox (one for general browsing, the other for development), Chrome, and IE.

I use IE some, Chrome and Firefox more.
Oddly enough, all things being equal, I find that I get the fastest downloads with IE. Download speeds sometimes start at 35 MB/second before the sites tamp it down - that's cool with sites like Brazzers that have such huge download files.

I try very very hard to NOT use FF addons or plugins. Thus I don't really go reviewing them.
Which ones hit your cool button.

IE by default but hardly ever use. Mostly use Firefox because of extensions/plugins.

Two, Firefox and Chrome. Chrome has ad- and track-block-addons installed, Firefox is clean to watch streaming video. It's funny to see how bad personalized ads are, if they don't know the sites, you usually browse and only get to know what tv shows you watch.
