1920x1080 which is a fairly standard size now... they are pretty cheap so a good addition to a laptop.

Monitor dimensions are 7.3 x 18.5 x 25.8 inches, so I assume that's a 4x3 standard monitor.

Was really happy with my 4:3 monitor - but it was old - and did not want a 1980x1080. So after days of search found a Philips Brilliance 245P - which is 1980x1200 - a great format.

Wide and varied in resolution depending on what I am doing and what my pc is hooked up to, As Denner said I too miss the old monitors pictures were clean and crisp in ok resolution. Now it takes a good video card and awesome monitor to get the same results. I do need a upgrade though from my 3 year old LED 1080p 22" Good question to ask in the forum on a good monitor buy .

I have a 19:9 and a 19:10 hooked up.
But, just last week, I dug out my 4:3, 70 lb, 21" CRT just too see what I was missing in color reproduction. I wish it didn't draw 300 watts, didn't weigh 70 lbs and didn't take up as much room as a microwave oven.
