On the rare occasions i've felt the need to contact a site i've always had fast helpful responses.

I've put "other" because I'd say the majority of the time I've had a good fast response, occasionally I don't. Depends on the site, but most are OK.
It tends to help if you join well-regarded sites using sites like PU as a guide of course.

Voted 'Other' as it varies far too much. Sometimes it's excellent, sometimes it's terrible. Fortunately I don't need to deal with Tech Support too much normally.

Some are fast and reliable, some are slow with days and days before an answer - and then again others never get back......so: other.

Too variable to be definitive.
A few are good.
Most are a waste of time & patience.

What is tech support?
I usually take that to mean there is something technically wrong with the website, and when I've mentioned this to the webmaster (like a broken link) I know not whether it gets fixed or ignored.
If I need service with a billing issue then I see that as Customer Service. This usually only used when I'm cancelling a site and I've never had problems there.

My experience with tech support for sites ranges from abysmal (21 extury, Danni.com, DDF Network, Hustler, Reality Kings, Bang Bros., for example) to wonderful (VideoBox, Score, Naughty America, for example), so I answered "other."
I would say any site that provides an answer to a support issue within 24 hours and the answer actually makes sense and is responsive to the issue qualifies as "wonderful." "Abysmal" means no response at all, or a canned response such as "we received your ticket and will get back to you with a response within ...(period of time) an no response ever shows up.
Not the question, but CCBill is always superb and Epoch is a very close second for billing services.

Definitely site dependent.
I've had everything from quick responses with offers of subscription extensions, to being told every problem was my fault, to (of course) no response at all.

I haven't used tech support all that often so it's hard to have a well balanced opinion. I know that it is sometimes a little long before they answer a request but I usually assume that if it's a big issue and maybe they have a lot of people to help.
On other times it is quite fast, very efficient and also friendly.

It is a mixed bag. Some have been good and quick, others just ignored the request.

It has run the gamut for me...some fast helpful responses, and I've also been ignored a couple of times too.

Most sites that have tech support, don't have tech support LOL or ignore you all together. The only tech support I ever get responses from is billing companies which are not affiliated. Most sites sadly do not get involved with customers and assume any technical issue is your fault anyways. Kind alike when you call the Cale co, or Dish co, and they have you reset everything unplug everything and then they realize its them. GRRRRRRrrr!

REPLY TO #13 - Cybertoad :
Bottom line, based on this series of experiences, and my own, signing up for any site is a gamble and requires the new member to be willing to lose their investment because most support functions are incompetent at best, and a pure fiction at worst.
The sites that have a responsive and effective support function (and are user friendly) will maintain a loyal fan base and will thrive.

Some sites have excellent tech support while most just feed you some generalities that don't really address your complaints, questions or suggestions.

Other: I ask here and often get answers quickly. They seem to react when everybody sees if they do not.

Depends on the site. Major sites like 21, DDF, Teen Megaworld has great support and will promptly reply within 24 hrs. Then there's sites like Evil Angel, who totally ignore customers and don't even bother to reply. In my eyes shitty support=cancelled membership.

Scratch what I said about Teen Megaworld, in the past they had great customer service but rejoined the site recently and now the support is ridiculous, they don't even bother replying to support tickets or try to resolve any technical issues you are experiencing.
