What TV do you follow?

I am a bit late to the game but I just started getting into Game Of Thrones. I am only mid-way through Season 3, so please, I beg of you, no spoilers... but I thought it would be fun to talk about some TV faves.

Other than GOT, I am a big CSI fan (yes, even the newish CSI Cyber) and I used to be a big Friends buff. I even still watch repeats. Orange Is The New Black is a big one for me too, as is the American Horror Story franchise.

Any new/old favorites you would like to mention?

I recently watched the new Trailer Park Boys season as well as the new Daredevil and they were both really good.

An old favorite of mine is Full House and the new season, Fuller House, is really good! It has all the nostalgia you could ask for with guest appearances of the old favorites. Although there were no Olsen twins sightings, the show did a great job at including the character of Michelle.

I'm glad that we are finally seeing actual television shows on TV instead of reality bullshit that passes for a TV show.

In no particular order.

Lucifer: Simply amazing with some really interesting chracters.

The Magicians: Sort of Harry Potter meets the CW with a mix of darkish humour. Well worth watching and the good news is they have been picked up for a second season.

Supergirl. very Good and also picked up for second season.

The Flash: second season so you know it was good enough to survive beyond one season.

The Expanse: Most people seem to compare it to Games of Thrones in space. It's been picked up for second season.

Dark Matter and Killjoy. Two Sci-Fi Channel shows that have been picked up for a second season.

The Blacklist: Good acting, good intrigue and well worth following.

Sherlock. A must for any fan of mistery shows.

Limitless. Based on a Bradley Cooper movie in which the main character takes a magic pill that enhances brain activity making that person a certifiable genius for a certain number of hours.

Games of Thrones. Of course although I'm sort of getting tired of the raping, killing of main characters and ultimately a story not going anywhere. Hopefully this season is superior to last year. Long live the Brown Coats.

Game of Thrones spoilers:

People will die.

Winter is coming.

After winter, comes spring, then summer, and autumn.
So the kingdoms of the world will change, with the seasons.

And the fire-breathing dragons will make the summer even hotter.

Those are my predictions, anyway.

Right now I'm focused on comedy. Telenovela, The Middle, and Modern Family.

I'm waiting for Black Matter and Killjoys to return.

I go to HULU a lot and watch shows from my youth. Route 66 and Naked City. It's been so long, it is like watching them for the first time. Warning Will Robinson

All these I have watched or are watching.

Game Of Thrones (quite frankly the best series ever)

SOA ( was a short lived but excellent.)

Breaking Bad ( Drugs, Power, intensity need I say more)

Supernatural ( about the best #2 great writers insane story line)

Dexter ( I think this show really tide in to what we all think sometimes but wouldn't ever act on but might like to)

Last Man Standing with Tim Allen. The best show at poking fun of all political correctness. Which I am sick on myself.

The Walking Dead, why a great series is too short season wise and way to long before a new season. Reminds me of how the show Lost was written and dragged on just for the sake of filming. I still watch it but record it as AMC is horribly packed with commercial break and is why I wont watch live anything on that station, or Spike )

I tend not to watch network TV or News. Since 2007

I've been waiting for a good time to start watching Game of Thrones. We pick shows, usually on Netflix, Amazon Prime, have the DVD set or on cable, then watch the one we pick from start to finish.

It was my wife's turn to pick this time and she picked Grey's Anatomy, which, no offense to anyone who likes it, I hate. Game of Thrones just seems right up my alley. It reminds me a little of the video game series, The Elder Scrolls, which happens to be my favorite video game series.

As of right now though, my all-time favorite would be The Sopranos. We've tried quite a few shows over the last few years.

Funny enough, two of my favorites were Breaking Bad and Malcolm in the Middle. I think Bryan Cranston (I call him Hal) might be the most underrated actor I know of. My wife also watches Nashville. Which I also refuse to watch. I don't like much country music and the kind I like starts and stops with Hank Williams to Johnny Cash.

I think I might have posted this before, but That 70s Show is a fun show to watch from beginning to end. Don't know if it's still free, either Amazon or Netflix had it free, but it's a really good, funny show.

I liked My Name is Earl a lot better than I thought I would.

We bought some DVD full-series boxsets back at Christmas on Amazon. Not for sure how well these have held up, but they were some of my and my wife's favorites.
Married with Children (Both of us)
Welcome Back Kotter (me)
I Dream of Jeannie (wife)
Sanford and Son (me)
Bewitched (wife)
Three's Company (my all-time favorite sitcom) My first time I jacked off, I thought I'd invented it. I looked down at my sloppy handful of junk and thought, This is going to make me rich. - Chuck Palahniuk

Two TV series I thought were very good were:
Rome (2005), with Kevin McKidd and Ray Stevenson;
Deadwood (2004), with Timothy Olyphant and Ian McShane.

You can watch both Rome and Deadwood for free if you have a Prime membership account at Amazon.

Vikings (2013), with Travis Fimmel and Katheryn Winnick, is also free with Amazon prime membership, and is very watchable. Edited on Apr 06, 2016, 09:52pm

Game of throwns
Vikings
Walking dead
Gold rush
These are the main series I have been watching kinda as the come out. I will usually wait for a season or two to come out. Gold rush is the only one I watch weekly. I simply do not have the patience to watch a show one week at a time over the course of many years. I would rather wait until a series finishes and binge on it. I have been doing it that way for 15 years, so I am glad to see that it has caught on so much and the industry has noticed. OK, so I am all caught up on Game Of Thrones! WHAAAAT is happening!!!! It's like a freakin' rollercoaster!

Since the premiere of season 6 is only days away, I'm hearing all about theories and seeing trailers - and I am chomping at the bit for that season to start!

Damn it all to hell. My wife and I watched season 1 of Game of Thrones two weeks ago. I was frustrated with a couple of the deaths, but understand their importance to the upcoming seasons. We watched season 2 last week. I knew I was hooked when we watched 5 straight episodes in one night. Started season 3 this week and so far I'm still hooked.

But was on CNN the other day. There's a link to a story about a death in season 6. I'll just say it had something to do with "getting a door". I can't believe they would post a story about a television show on CNN. Oh well, still hooked and watching, but the show's insistence on making me despise nearly every character might wear on me over time. My first time I jacked off, I thought I'd invented it. I looked down at my sloppy handful of junk and thought, This is going to make me rich. - Chuck Palahniuk

Game of Thrones really gets better each series/season in my view, no other show comes close to it, I look forward to it every week and hate when it ends, I can't say that for many others. "Women are like tricks by sleight of hand, Which, to admire, we should not understand." WILLIAM CONGREVE

I was excited for this to begin, but once I started it, I just couldn't get invested in the characters, which really pained me because I love shows that take place in the 70's.

I like Shameless: both UK and US versions but prefer US version as they follow the Gallaghers instead of the Maguires.

Homeland: Binge watched this show and it is awesome. The first three seasons were riveting and the next two kept me wanting more. So glad Mandy Patinkin actually watched that terrible CBS show and quit it so he could star as Saul here.

Doctor Who: Peter Capaldi is the Doctor! Can't wait for his third season and hopes he sticks around for another one.

Penny Dreadful: Victorian Gothic horror at its very best.

Episodes: Who would of thought Matt LeBlanc playing himself in this satire of television would be so hilarious? The final season 5 airs sometime next year.

Leftovers: Only saw the first season and have heard mixed reviews about the second. I will probably watch the next season and let you all know about it.

I have yet to watch the superhero shows from both DC and Marvel. I always enjoyed those types of shows and look forward to them. "Dogs think people are Gods. Cats don't as they know better." - Kedi (2016)

The Sopranos, Columbo, M*A*S*H (which I can appreciate more now than I could when it was pre-syndication and I was younger), Foyle's War ... basically anything with very good writing and acting. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

Now that we are waiting on season seven of Game of Thrones, I talked my wife into trying Walking Dead out. I really don't care much for these types of shows, but had heard so much about how good the story is.

My wife has watched every terrible, disgusting minute of Game of Thrones like it was rated G. We get to episode four of season one of Walking Dead and she says, "I don't think I can watch this anymore, it's disgusting." I actually like it much more than I expected to.

I don't know if anyone has ran into this problem, but I'm wondering if it's the difference in pace between GoT and Walking Dead. As much as I like GoT, I do sometimes nod off, but Walking Dead keeps me on the edge of my seat thanks to its sudden bursts of intensity. I guess I'll have to cook for a few nights or find a new show. My first time I jacked off, I thought I'd invented it. I am a fan of GOT but waiting a whole year for the next season is too long! I recommend you watched Prison Break or rewatch it since it is an old series, but a new season will be released next year so it could refresh your memories in the meantime

I have not watched the most recent season of GoT yet, but I did see that they pushed season 7 back a few months. Plus it will only be 7 episodes, not 10 as normal. Black Matter and Killjoys started three weeks ago and they are both totally insane. That's why I love science fiction.

Talking about science fiction, Heroes & Icons network are going to start broadcasting all the different Star Trek series starting July 24th. Warning Will Robinson
