You're not the only one. I'm more of a fan of boxing and MMA than I am those team sports, but I really enjoy movies about team sports - Moneyball, Remember the Titans, Field of Dreams, etc. I also really enjoy HBO documentaries about particular rivalries, etc. These films and documentaries concentrate what's exciting and involving about these sports in ways that watching the games themselves don't, for me.

I don't have any big plans - I'll watch the 2nd half of the game, I'm pretty sure. I'm not a big football fan, but the Super Bowl is an event and is frequently entertaining in various ways, including the crazy commercials.

Having seen Teagan P in person in the last year - she was featuring at my fave strip club - I've got the basis to dispute this. In person, close up, she looks pretty close to the hot honey that burst onto the porn scene - and she was so hot that off duty SC dancers wanted to see her from the front row and invited me to sit with them - one in my lap and one sitting next to me, kissing me every minute or so, she was so delighted at what she was seeing onstage. Teagan is SEEEEEEEXXXXYYY and that ass is amazing! Her vids are no great shakes these days, but as a feature performer, Teagan is awesome!!

I heard that the "File" trio were owned by the same company - but there have been other un-related file lockers that also shut down or blocked US IP addresses. I thought this was an interesting article on the "legal" users of Mega-Upload and other such sites - now very much shit-out-of-luck: http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/news/2012...-of-luck-for-now.ars

Right - FileSonic, FileServe & File Jungle have now all shut down file sharing - so it's a 4 for 1 that they got so far with the arrest of the MegaUpload owners. Edited on Jan 23, 2012, 06:49am

The shot-across-the-bow of busting MegaUpload seems to have had the desired double-whammy effect, since FileServe has now shut down all file sharing activities. I believe those were 2 of the biggest file sharing services that paid money to people whose files were downloaded.

When I google "Metmodels" and click on it, I get a page that says "Introducing the new & improved Metmodels.com, Erotic Beauty". Metmodels.com is now EroticBeauty.com - it's not a scam, it's a name change. When I continue, I see that the archives go back to 2005 and the material all looks like MetModels' super-soft style, so I would guess that all of the metmodels.com material has been carried over.

As Pat says, the best bet for the kind of action that you're looking for at this point in time is a sologirl site that has a lot of cam shows through their site. The best network for that kind of activity these days is the network that includes Nikki Simms' site, Meet Madden, etc. If you join one of those sites, you'll have access to all of the web cam shows that happen during the week. There are usually 3-5 shows per day. The downside is that, except for the site that you actually join, the only shows that you'll see are the ones that you're home for and they're geared to the east coast and to students - shows tend to start earlier in the day, in other words. If you join Nikki's site or Madden's site, etc, you'll have access to that model's cam-show archives, but not to the archives of other cam shows on the network.

The term "rip" means to rip off. If you're paying for a site and downloading from the site that you paid for and it's for your own purposes and you're not doing anything that is injurious to the site, then even if you're using a digital vacuum cleaner, you are not a site ripper and nothing that you are doing could be honestly construed as site ripping. As the web masters in the thread have said, what makes something constitute "site ripping" is if you download the site's contents and post it on a forum, a peer-to-peer network or other means to constitute piracy.

Veterans take Veterans Day seriously - many of them, anyway. It's a bank holiday and a post office holiday and politicians have a chance to pay lip service to how much they care about veterans before passing some bill cutting their benefits the next day. But it's just another day for most people in the US - less traffic on the way to work, though.

ATK Galleria has many freckled models - blondes with cute little light freckles on their nose, darker-haired babes with more obvious freckles a la Faye Reagan as well - Izzi, one of their newer models is in the latter category.

When you see porn babes such as Nicole Graves, Sunny Leone, Janessa Brazil, Amy Reid, Ruby Knox, etc, doing web-camming, it's pretty clear that smart babes on the right sites - the ones that have contracts that allow the women to make money - can make quite a bit of money. In fact, it seems that where the industry going, especially due to piracy, is that web-camming is being seen as a crucial money-making activity by many established performers in adult - being aware of that, a lot of young women involved in web-camming, if they're already making good bucks, see no reason to do films or vids that are not self-shot.

My opinion of this site - it's so "specific" in it's direction that it gets boring. I have the same problem with the Kink.com sites. There are people making porn that have enough breadth to their material - good looking women, good tease action, sexy outfits, well filmed, etc, that you can be not at all interested in the more extreme aspects of their work and still be entirely satisfied watching their material. For instance, ALS Scan prides itself on fisting, extreme insertions, gaping, piss-play, etc. I'm not all that excited by any of that stuff, but they are my favorite site because of how much else they have going on and the quality of the models they get and the quality of their material, period. With In The Crack, it's more like - "this scene is going to be about this model's left labial lip" - and that's what you're going to see for the entire scene - or vid - or whatever. It's obsessiveness to where it takes any spontaneity out of it - and sexual material is not that interesting without spontaneity for me. Another example of someone who's pretty specific in their tastes but allows for things to go elsewhere is John Stagliano. In many of his scenes, He'll be saying "What I really want you to do is" and the model will be doing her own thing and he'll say, "oh, oh - Oh, that's good!" and go with the flow. There's NONE of that with In The Crack or the Kink.com sites, so as good quality as they are, they lack excitement and get old quickly.

Moneyball, with Brad Pitt as Oakland A's money-strapped GM Billy Beane, is really good, especially if you like Aaron Sorkin's intelligent writing. Jonah Hill is excellent in a subdued role that still benefits from his superb comic skills. It's a funny thing that I'm not a big fan of baseball or most other team sports, but I tend to really enjoy movies about team sports, perhaps because they break it down and make it more personal. I liked Contagion also, Steven Soderbergh in his cerebral mode is much more entertaining to me than his pop mode. I found his "Oceans" movies to be impossible to watch - just crap.

I suppose I'd consider it. If I were married, I'd really have to think about the risk to my relationship - is it an open relationship where I could tell her about it - well, cool, then it's not a problem and you can talk about what precautions you're going to take and what "acts" aren't OK with her no matter what, etc. Because there's ALWAYS a chance that she could find out about it - or suspect strongly enough to feel really badly about the whole thing. Sorry if it's a bummer to put that out there as the only real issue, but I think it is. Other than that, the woman offering the services is going to be happy to be with a nice guy, so that's going to be a win for her if you do it. To be clear on where I'm coming from, I've engaged in pay-for-play with women that I met and enjoyed as SC dancers. I have no significant other to hurt and I had a good time and tipped the women beyond what they requested, so they were happy about it.

I'll take a look at the ones that are new to me. Skin was the only Burning Angel model that appealed to me much when I joined for a short time. Joanna's cute, but I'm not terribly hot for her. Suicide Girls has tons of models - tough to find babes as hot as the civilian tatted up honeys that I see in the Bay Area, though. Damn, there are some fine young women around here. Some of them from way elsewhere - I went to a music festival in downtown Oakland and the lead singer of one of the bands - from Australia - was really adorable - slender with dyed red hair with sexy art from her wrist to her upper arm.

I don't know about "hung out". She was paid $20K for spending 1 night with him during which he worked on consuming a base-ball sized ball of crack cocaine. He watched a bunch of porn - INSTEAD of playing with any of the 3 porn stars that he had paid to come over and then right before she left, he decided that he better have sex with her since he had paid her so much money. Then she did a TMZ interview and multiple Howard Stern interviews about it.

Anybody else see "Cowboys & Aliens"? I'm a fan of both Daniel Craig & Harrison Ford so I went, with limited expectations - I figured it would be a rather cheesy popcorn flick - kind of a western "Snakes On a Plane". I found it MUCH better than that - it's actually quite a straight western with a lot of emotional resonance to the core story of 1 man trying to remember who he is and towns folk out to get back their kidnapped love ones. Craig & Ford are both excellent and supporting actors like Sam Rockwell are very good as well. The movie's closer to "The Searchers" than "Snakes On The Plane" and is a more satisfying classic western than the Coen Bros "True Grit" remake was, simply because the Coen Bros forget that they're making movies for human beings to watch and not just as a technical exercise half the time, where Jon Favreau is very much in touch with the needs of his audience.

With bonus material, I figure whatever they're giving me is a, well, bonus, so if they're not wrapping it up in a pretty zip package and giving it to me to take home, I have no complaints - individual pics are fine, so long as the material is presented well.

I saw where Zoey Deschanel was criticized for remarking about how the city of LA should have cleaned up the damned neighborhood if they were going to fete the Royals in the downtown area. She's right. There are huge areas of the US that are allowed to be shit-holes - and ugly ones for no reason. When I visited Austria, Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, we were using public restrooms all over that area. They were all well kept up - everything worked, nothing was a mess. In the city of Berkeley, CA right near the UC campus, there's a city-owned mall/parking garage that has the only public restroom in the area. You could vomit - or have bad dreams for months - from the sights and smells in those restrooms and there's no shame about it on the part of the city. It's just taken for granted that's the way it is. And that's not unique at all in major cities in the US.

Would I have read anything she wrote if she wasn't an ex-porn star? I dunno - I checked out her blog because I was aware of her in her former public role. Had she been an artist or musician I was aware of, I would have checked it out similarly. It's not like it was some deep commitment on my part or anything. How much time do I spend on Facebook? It doesn't require some protracted amount of time. It's there. If I'm checking out music I want to share, I post links. If friends comment, I read their comments and respond. It's a a fun thing to have open when I'm home and I can see if there's anything new to engage with. I'm sure I could spend hours looking through my friend's pages, which would all be pretty new to me, but I haven't felt the urge to do so.

These days an increasing number of people feel that they don't exist unless they're diarizing their every thought. I liked Penny's blog. I doubt that I'll be going back to it, but she comes across as a cool, thoughtful person. I've got to say that I was talked into getting onto Facebook within the last week by 2 old friends and I'm enjoying the hell out of it. Within 1 day, I was in contact with a huge number of old friends - really cool people - that I hadn't been in touch with in years, sharing music, stories, jokes, etc.

Re: Courtney Simpson - there's a scene in Erik Everhard's Jailbait 3 where Max is helping him find a hot teen and Max is going on about how Courtney Simpson blew it by getting so full of herself that she didn't want him to fuck her ass anymore, how she could have had him take her to porn conventions all over the world, etc. I think that's as close to the real story as you can get. Courtney did Max's stuff when she was first getting into the biz, taking any work that was offered to her, then she learned a bit more about what she was comfortable with and she walked away from that stuff, then walked away from the porn biz entirely.

She retired. Apparently she was really not in a good place psychologically, working in porn, so she got out and worked on getting more comfortable in her head. She did tons of stuff before she left - from Penthouse to Fucking Machines, so there might still be lots for you to stumble across. There's a not-to-be-named forum that I was just looking at that has over 60 pages of links to her stuff. She was a busy and popular babe.

You don't see the videocaps right under the description of the scene - Face Fucking #11, Scene 1, etc? How is that possible? Right under the 6 screen caps are the download options and the option to Play the vid or "Custom Clip" it. Do you see those? Are you looking at the site in VB3 or "classic" Videobox. Because I'm seeing what I'm seeing in "classic" mode. Edited on Jun 27, 2011, 07:46pm

Stieg Larsson's long-time partner, Eva Gabrielsson, is on tour promoting her memoir of her life with Stieg. She had an interesting view of the Swedish & American-made films - "And while she's no fan of the Swedish movies of the Millennium Trilogy she's intrigued about David Fincher's remake, shooting now in Sweden:'Friends of mine have stumbled over the film crews and have sent me text messages. They're taking care to find very good locations, and so it might be interesting. They’re very ambitious — I like that.'"

Yeah, roaming, seeing new environments is one of the coolest aspects of video games. Games that don't allow for much exploration or don't give you any reward for your exploration are missing the boat, to a large extent.

One thing I find interesting in the world of video games, is the category I'll call Poetic Indie Games. Machinarium and Braid are examples. They're simple in a certain way, don't take 5 full armies to produce like a "Borderlands". They're beautiful, hand-drawn, unique and very arty - and to my mind there's a lot to learn from them for publishers of poetry trying to figure out how to cope with the whole e-book/digital media thing.

Yeah, I was watching some grade-D talk show one night when I had insomnia a few years ago - they had an episode of "Nots Who Became Hots" or some such drivel and the piece de resistance was this woman who had herself completely re-made in the most un-natural way possible - HUGE tits, duck lips, a face botoxed to the point of no possible change in her facial expression and she was being presented as a real achievement as compared to her high school picture - she was a cute girl with freckles and a prominent nose and kinky hair. They had on 2 absolute moronic guys who had given her shit in high school and were given them the "don't you regret it now looking at what she has become?" They didn't seem to regret it at all. The whole "every woman needs a boob job" trend is pretty depressing, though I'd be lying if I were to say that I'm not fully as hot for fave models/performers such as Sasha Cane, Ashley Bulgari and Amia Miley post-boob job as I was pre-boob job. But that's because I was hot for THEM - and still am.

I tried posting this last night - I must have been trying to post just when the site was being shut down for maintenance. Such is life. I didn't find a video game thread, surprisingly enough - perhaps Khan will point it out to me. I'm very enamored lately with Borderlands. A great game that allows people to play with vastly different styles - aggressive to laid back and meandering - more my speed, given how piss-poor I really am at video games. I like the variety of the environments you get to explore, the variety of the weapons and the opponents, the quality of the art-work and the AI of the opponents - they're not entirely predictable and they can kick your ass in the beginning of the game especially - and the game creators have a great sense of humor. I love this video they did to help one Borderlands fan propose to another: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fii-KPEmcMw

I saw them all in the original language. I'm pretty used to seeing foreign films in the original languages with subtitles. In the 70's, there were a TON of great German films - and a ton of great Japanese films that I had never seen before - and I lived in a city with an incredible amount of good theaters, so I got quite used to seeing films while reading subtitles. I thought Noomi was good, though I only thought that the 3rd movie had the emotional range that I was craving - even from a character that has a limited emotional range, I just don't think the direction in the first film was more than OK. And cinematically, none of the 3 films were very exciting, so if the characters aren't being directed to have a great depth and if the images on the screen aren't terribly exciting, then all you've got is the story - luckily the story is a damned good one.

Check out Law & Order episodes that deal with sex crimes or any episode of CSI and it's pretty clear that even on broadcast TV US media can deal with pretty kinky stuff. Fincher's been able to get an R rating for pretty intense sexual fare before, like Fight Club. With a major studio backing him, he'll probably do OK. The first movie is the one with the most intense sexual material. I won't detail it in case it's a spoiler for anyone, but apparently that scene was part of his audition for the actresses up for the part of Salander because he wanted to make sure they could handle it.

Must-see for me. My opinion of the 3 Swedish movies: 1st one was OK 2nd one blew dead donkey balls 3rd one was quite good, though not terribly exciting visually - but well paced and well-focused and the 3rd film was very strong in showing how similar in personality Blomkvist & Salander were - it made sense why they were so drawn to each other despite finding each other rather annoying. Both were shown as being completely compulsive with not much concern for other people's feelings.

The question is often asked - "Why make a US version of a movie that's already been made?" The trailer for the US version of "Girl With a Dragon Tattoo" could be the definitive answer this question: http://www.wired.com/underwire/2011/06/d...oo-trailer-official/ More cinematic brilliance, more chills, more "Holy fucking shit" excitement in many few-second bits of this trailer than in the 3 European films, for my tastes. American film-makers know how to make things "pop". And David Fincher is one of the best film-makers working today.

It certainly was. The problem for most such movies to me is this - at a certain point, when the action gets heavy, it gets impossible to know who's in what car, where they're going, why they're going there or why you should care. This movie managed to keep on top of that all the way with just enough cut-away close-ups so you were able to stay engaged and I always felt like I knew who was in what car, where they were going, why they were going there and why I should care. It was a helluva good action movie - and the Rock/Dwayne Johnson really put it over the top.

I believe that the Green Lantern movie long ago came and went from theaters. The new advertisements are probably for the release of the DVD. I'll be on vacation for a week - looking forward to strolling around Seattle, doing nothing, basically, and the only movie I'm really interested in seeing is Fast Five, which looks fun and cheesy.

Glad to hear that you're well, Graymane. Good luck with the house-selling. I'm sure it's a pain in the ass.

Sites use the thumbnails that they think are going to have the most people clicking on them - and that usually means showing a fair amount of skin, even with photo-sets that start with clothes on. The best solution for my tastes is the sites that have embedded gifs, so you can put your mouse over the thumbnail and see a series of pics from the set, included clothed pics. But let's face it, most people joining pay sites want to see skin, so if sites were using the most-clothed pics, fewer people would be clicking on those sets.
