Hi mbaya,
I always manually imput the U and P after sign-up, never cut and paste. I thought of the second possibility, being that with some sites there is a 30 minute to an hour delay in accessibility, but this wasn't mentioned anywhere on the sign-up page, or in the confirmation email.
I did get it sorted out via email (something about a problem with shared passwords and such), but it took a day and a half. They apologized and graciously extended my trial period. True, TBP doesn't mention the trial but it was offered on the join page, and I went for it. Maybe it's something new.
I wouldn't know about the DRM issue because I went in looking for pics and didn't bother with video, especially after seeing what a mess the site is. From what I can tell the vids are stream only. Maybe the trial limits you to streaming? I don't care because they all look like crap anyway.
I can't do a full review since I only took the trial, but I will say that for what this site offers, the regular sub price is highway robbery. The pictures are very small, averaging 512x768, and the material is dated. I saw a lot of this stuff on Newsgroups years ago. One could collect far better pictures on a semi-decent TGP.
The official TBP score is way too high, in my opinion.

I've gotten similar offers a few times before by ATK, and I'm not sure if they were limited to the Archives site. I've been a member of all of their sites, and most of them several times, so maybe this is their way of paying back frequent flyers. Not that they don't pay you back in spades with the amount of content already.

Messmer, I wish I could answer your question precisely, but it's been over nine months since I was at the Archives, and this was long before my external hard-drive, so I put everything I download from there on CD. It would take a lot of time to find the material, since I have tons of CDs.
If I remember correctly, most of the earliest pics are probably 800 X 600, but more recent pics are larger, yet still small by today's standards. Quality-wise, the oldest pics from the Archives are pretty bad, these being from the late nineties. What is frustrating for me is that while the pic size and quality were poor in those days, the style and content of the pictures were more appealing to me: more amateurish/girl-next-doorish as opposed to arsty/slick/glamorous, more old-school undies as opposed to thongs, butt-floss, and various kinds of shorts posing as panties, less tattoos and piercings, etcetera.
I don't know if they tried to upgrade the condition of old pic sets, sorry. If memory serves, I don't think so. Bear in mind, I cut my teeth in the old Newsgroups which posted pics from ATK all the time, and I was happy to be able to go and find the complete sets for most of those pics. That went a long way in making my experience with ATK's Archives more pleasurable. I suppose I was slightly biased.

There is so much content on all of the ATK sites that even with a fast connection you simply can't get to all of it without an extended membership, and even if you had one for several months I doubt you could get through all of it, since they update so frequently. All you can do is dive in, come up with some kind of systematic approach to consuming the material, and hope you're not missing something.
Because of the amount of content, it would be nice if ATK had a member forum so people could give each other a heads-up on certain models or videos which are outstanding, or advice to one another about finding what we like. For instance, if you like panties, search for R. Williams; white cotton panties, R. Field; downblouse, upskirts, and panties, Marco P; in-your-face butt-shots, LIL, and so on. Each photographer has his/her own particular bent and style.
Twenty-five dollars is a drop in the bucket for this kind of feast. Don't under-estimate the Archives. There is a huge amount of excellent material here.

Yes, Lenka is on ATK Exotics but there are only two pic sets, amounting to 147 pics. No vids at the moment. This is strange because I remember this model (and yes, she is amazing) from previous subscriptions to ATK, and I could have sworn that there were many more sets. The only ATK site I haven't joined is Premium. Could be they moved the majority of her sets there? I don't know.
It surprises me that, considering your username here, you haven't joined the ATK exotics site! I love exotics and I'm on my fourth go around.

OK, there are cons, though I really hate to pick a nit with this company:
- Many "Best of the ATK archive" sets are in among the newer sets. Why not keep the old sets in the archive? Plus, some of these "Best of" sets are not very good.
- A lot of the sets here are from the "Natural and Hairy" site. Why not keep the sites seperate? If I come from the Hairy site to the Exotics site, I don't really want to see more hair. I might be tired of hair.
- Vids section could be better organized. |

The pics here are categorized according to ethnicity, nationality, and other personal criteria, and then cross-categorized by type of content, such as softcore/hardcore, feet, watersports, pregnant, toys, upskirts & panties, outdoors, action, blowjobs, etcetera. I'm a member here currently and plan on staying until I've investigated each category which interests me thoroughly.
The models range from very plain to drop dead gorgeous. The list of photographers is almost as impressive as the list of models, and each has his or her own distinctive approach. The search options are exhaustive. For instance, if you're looking for a skinny Asian girl with braces who doesn't shave and does watersports, you just might find one!
The videos need better organization and the three minute clips can be frustrating. The newer vids come with a small vid-cap to give you a better idea of the content, and the newer vids are of exceptional quality. Hardcore and softcore vids are in seperate sections, which I believe is a new feature.
I have no doubt at all that this is the best place to come for exotic models. |

- Models run the gamut from 18 to nearly elderly, and from gorgeous to homely.
- Newer vids are offered in one big chunk rather than the standard 3 minute slices.
- Pics can be viewed in a variety of sizes. This is good for people with slow connections. |

- Zipped sets broken into several bits. This is too much silliness and simply not worth the trouble.
- Pic size, on newer sets, seems to be app. 1000x1500 max. ATK has lagged in this area for a few years and it makes me wonder why.
- I would like to enable plain image links and have this work throughout my entire session without having to select that option for each set. This is an annoyance. |

I'm a huge fan of ATK and have been at the hairy site about four times, even though I'm not really into hair. As with all of this company's sites there is a spectacular amount of content on offer, and enlisting a long list of photographers keeps the material from devolving into a boring sameness which is the bane of a lot of other sites.
I have no problem with the "natural" niche at all, but this site borders on fetishism, as some of these models are so hairy they look simply preposterous. This being said they do keep the "scary hairy" models in a separate section.
I think the quality of the material needs to match the quantity of it at this point, but this is not happening.
The newest vid I downloaded (4/08) is 640x480, 1048 Kbps. It looks fine but not nearly as good as a great many other sites which are moving into HD. Some of the vids show higher bit rates - often significantly higher - but when played there is no significant increase in clarity or quality. I can't play the Quicktime vids (for some reason) but the file sizes for those are only a few megs larger than the WMV files, so I somehow doubt that the quality is much better.
As for pics, 1000x1500 is a good-sized pic but many sites are going much larger. The main strength here is the variety of photographers. Alexander B's material alone would be worth the price of admission. His sets are just stunning sometimes, even if the models aren't.
Recommended, but the quality could (should) be improved. |

I don't know, messmer, but I never noticed anything "darkish" or otherwise physically different about Toby's sets on ATK's various sites or in his work elsewhere. I did notice that his sets were extremely predictable and instantly recognizeable, at least with the older material, which comprises most of what I've seen since I'm not into the new style of softcore at all. Predictable as in: girl in doorway, expose one breast, expose other breast, lift skirt, turn around, get on floor, lift knees, open knees, turn on side, turn over...done. The models spent WAY too much time on the damn floor in most of Toby's vintage sets.
Over-all, however, I do agree that ATK lags behind some of the premier sites and are resting on their laurels technically and esthetically. I have always enjoyed my visits to their sites because of the sheer amount of content and the wide variety of photographers they use. But I do visit now far less than I did in the years past.

I've been to all of ATK's sites and Premium most recently. If I had to live with only one of their sites to the exclusion of all the others, Premium would be my last choice. Why is this?
Well, what we like and don't like is a subjective thing. Two things that were always appealing about ATK were Amateurs and/or Teens, which is what the 'A' and the 'T' in 'ATK' abbreviate. At Premium, the models are hardly amateurs, and despite whatever their average age might be, there is an atmosphere of maturity present which steers quite clear of "teeny-ness" in most of its usual guises. Not that this is a problem necessarily, but it does seem like a bit of a turning away from the original mission of this company.
The impression I get is that this is ATK's contribution to the genre of classy, artsy nudes made popular by sites like Met Art and Hegre's. The women are beautiful and the settings equally so. For me this makes for a certain sterility as far as the libido is concerned, which impacts ninety-five percent of why I purchase subscriptions to these kinds of websites.
While I like the more intimate aspect of some of the videos, I found a few which seemed to show nothing but a model getting her make-up applied or her hair done. I suppose some might like this (and I wouldn't mind at all for a minute or so), but it was too tedious for me. On a positive note, some of the lesbian scenes were among the best I've seen.
Recommended, but with reservations. |

I agree with your sentiments in regard to cumshots. I had a membership to a famous facials site a while back and was thoroughly bored as well as somewhat disgusted by the content. Judging by what I saw, these guys could barely get it up and almost always finished by hand (sometimes for an absurdly long time) and all they could manage was a pathetic dribble which they smeared on the girl's face. What a complete waste of time. They don't call cumshots "money-shots" for nothing. I think these guys do this stuff too often and the whole act is becoming meaningless to them.
I think there's something deeply rooted in the male libido which makes it exciting to us for the female to witness ejaculation. Something primordial, as if it's a kind of visual proof that we are viable males who can procreate. Thus, the more powerful the ejaculation, the more impressed the female will be. Not that it really does impress her, but I think it goes something like that on at least a subconscious level for males. Hence the popularity of the money-shot in adult film and video, and all the more reason to be irritated by male performers who have to jerk-off for ten minutes before finishing, and then produce nothing but a weak dribble.
You must have seen Peter North's "work". There are not too many people like him, however. In fact, I think he might be one of a kind. Lucky bastard.

Some of the vids are in one part, some in segments. I'd say slightly less than half are available as a single file.

All in all, this is one of my favorite boob sites, and I've tried a great many of them. Most of the solo vids are silent, meaning no music and precious little blather. Some find this a con, but it's a major plus for me. I also have to say that this site features some of the sexiest women in this genre, like April O'Neil, Holly Webster, Petra, and the amazing Alina. Not to mention Arika, who might not have a beautiful face but is sheer perfection from the neck down.
There is not a great deal of HC here, but there is some. All I took was solo content. Still, I ended up with 27 gigs of video and 10 gigs of zipfiles. There is a good deal of variance in pic size, going from smallish to 1200x1800. Most of the sets I've extracted look very nice.
I would venture to say that most guys would find this site too tame, and maybe a tad silly. There is a monotony in what the models are actually doing in the vids: lots of tooth-brushing, showering, and continuous auto-booby-squeezing. For sites like this to be more interesting to the average perv as far as solo content, we need to think of getting the models to engage in a wider variety of activities. I love to watch beautiful women do mundane things so this actually isn't a huge problem for me.
I will probably join again in about six to nine months to get the updates. |

- For every (or nearly every) vid there are links for vidcaps and "pictures". The "pictures" link simply tells you that there are no pictures available. Why do this?
- Brandi is sometimes too deadpan, too nonchalant, which makes her appear bored.
- The male participants often leave very much to be desired. They are sometimes dead bored, ugly, sleezy, or crazy.
- Vid quality (640x480/1048k) should be improved, since this is a video-only site. Vid caps are a negligible feature. |

I went into this site with high hopes, since I like the multiple-girl on one guy approach. The first vid I downloaded featured a tall skinny guy with big glasses getting "molested" by four or five girls in a shower room. It took at least half the video for the guy to even get it up, and he seemed totally uninvolved through-out, resulting in a complete waste of time. In another video we watch Brandi jerk some overweight guy off for about ten minutes and at the end the guy finally announces he can't come. Another complete waste of time.
I ended up downloading about twenty videos before getting bored with this site and abandoning it long before my sub expired. For this kind of thing to work well, you really need somebody like Peter North or Hubby from Wifeysworld, because, let's face it, what good is ten or twelve minutes of willy-yanking without a doozy of a climax? It's like waiting for an hour and a half in a fine restaurant and having the waitress bring you a Big Mac and an order of fries.
On the plus side, the best vid on offer features Brandi and another girl, who take turns exploring one another's naughty bits. And in case you haven't seen it, Brandi has one of the most plump and delectable naughty bits I've seen to date.
I wouldn't recommend this site except to handjob, femdom, and CFNM enthusiasts, and even then I wouldn't be surprised if they were disappointed. |

I tried the trial here and I've seen the preview vids, so I can say that it certainly looks as if this girl knows EXACTLY what she's doing, even though what she does will not cater to everyone's taste.
