The content is all pretty similar, no real need to download 100 only slightly varying solo scenes (different outfits, haircuts, etc)
Bottom Line:
I got a membership to this site as a bonus for joining onlycuties. It is a pretty good site, but I wouldn't see a reason to join just this site. No boy/girl action if that is your thing.

As you can tell, I was not fond of this site. While I found the concept intriguing the execution is terrible. In my opinion the entire spicetv network of sites should never be joined until they resolve their many issues. Some of the content is good, and some of the women are quite attractive, but all the navigation problems (particulary no single-file download and DRM) make the site next to worthless. I would recommend looking elsewhere for your porn needs. The fact that I listed "ease of cancellation" as I couldn't really think of any other good points of the site is evidence enough that you shouldn't join.
Most recent video is 8/09. Though videos are encoded at a high bitrate (8000 kbps) and typically 1280x720, I don't think the original source is HD, as the videos are not nearly as crisp as other HD sites.
Also, getting the 3-month membership does not give you instant access to any bonus content, which is stupid.
Some decent material here, but not worth the price. And the vast majority of bonus sites are crap.
This is actually surprisingly common with discounts, they almost never update long term memberships accordingly (also be careful as some places renew the discount month at a higher price, higher even than regular monthly).
A real pity sites like this still exist, but at least PU (and folks like you) can help other avoid these troubles.
Hope it all turns out well for you. I have found using a temporary card number as somewhat useful, as it only exists for that transaction, so the site really can't pull much funny business - aside from running a crappy site, you might want to look into it.
That sucks man, used to be a scam a lot of sites ran in the early days, cheap trials that were impossible to cancel (or had odd conditions like cancellation will take 5 days to process, for a 2 day trial).
Artifacts would be compression defects, like when it gets all blocky and strange looking.
I looked through what I downloaded about a year ago, and it was mostly wmv's, so perhaps they changed their formats? I didn't really see any mpg's in what I downloaded there - and some of it was quite old.
What do you mean by not working properly? If you mean lots of artifacts in the video, then I have seen that as well. If you mean the videos wont play, I never had any problems with that. Perhaps there are a few videos they didn't take the DRM off of? Are they older?
A pity Hustler doesn't do a better job, I enjoy their material generally speaking, but I agree with most of your comments. I guess I just cut them a bit of slack for producing at least some non-annoying gonzo content. I keep thinking perhaps I should adjust their score lower, but oh well...
Just wanted to point out that while their newer videos are getting better quality from a technical standpoint, it appears as though they have some encoding problems as there are many more artifacts and glitches in the videos than you typically see at that bitrate.
The site is entirely based on their DVDs with some magazine content as well, and the video content is not HD. The best video bitrate they offer is 1700 kbps, which is decent - but not great (and is only available on stuff released more recently, like the last 6 months or so). The DVDs are split up into scenes, if your preference is single scenes not from DVDs, this probably isn't the place for you.
The subsite set-up is pretty much bullshit, as far as I could tell most of their content could be found on either Hustler or Barely Legal, the subsites are somewhat useful in sorting content I suppose, but it is basically just mirrors of subsets of their content from what I could tell.
They have photos from their magazines on the site as well, however it is a real nuisance to dig through these and the picture qualitiy is generally mediocre anyways (also the sets are typically small - 8 pictures or so).
Sorry about your problems, but I don't really think this site is overrated, most reviews - aside from mine - have been pretty poor. I think if you like their style of content it is worth joining, it is too bad their video quality is mediocre, bit I don't think the site is bad. I was unaware that the PU discount only lasted a month, I was only ever a member for one month.
When I was a member the only dvd's that weren'y downloadable were the ones that were recently added, perhaps this situation has changed?

-Pictures are pretty decent quality, newer photos are about 1500x1000
-No DRM anymore
-Access to barelylegal.com as well, although a lot of the content on barelylegal is also on Hustler.

-Navigation is mediocre. You can sort by star, dvd title, and other things, but with an archive this large it would be nice to have more sorting options and a search ability.
-Navigating for photosets is particularly annoying, very difficult to just browse.
-Video quality is mediocre to poor. The best I downloaded was 640x360 1700kbps. They even commically call some of the videos of this ilk "HD".
-Video quality for older DVDs is poor, as low as 700kbps in highest quality.
-No zips for photosets
-While download managers work, they can be a bit glitchy as the path to files change, so you can only really queue up a few files
-Some videos aren't available for download, most are, it seemed like most of the videos that couldn't be downloaded were newer additions
-Some videos were a bit glitchy - 2 scenes in one, the ending missing, etc.
Bottom Line:
I think this site gets somewhat of a bad rap, as historically it was a horrible site with streaming only options and terrible navigation. I think it is much better now than it was in the past (even though the only change I noticed was getting rid of DRM). Maybe I just have a soft spot for Hustler since the first DVDs I ever bought were Barely Legal DVDs.
If they improved the video quality, added some better navigation, and provided zip downloads of photosets this would probably be one of my highest rated sites.
The archive is quite large, 830 DVDs on Hustler, and 346 on barelylegal. Even with some overlap, that is a nice sized archive.
I particularly enjoy the style of many of Hustler's videos and enjoy that many of them have a story - which seems less and less common these days. They appear to also have a large magazine archive, although I didn't have the patience to sort through it.
I would definitely recommend the site for a month, especially for $20/month. Even with the mediocre video quality, I still enjoy a lot of the scenes I downloaded here more than HD content on other sites. I'd be surprised if anyone couldn't find some material they like on this site. However, if you are a fan of photos, this probably isn't the best site to join.
It is an interesting offer, perhaps other will follow suit. I accidentally let a few rollover a few years ago, now I almost always cancel right when I join.
They usually have some kind of "plot" at the beginning of the scenes for this site, but it isn't very consistent. My guess is that they are trying to portray a first time type scene, but it isn't in english. Perhaps someone who is a member who speaks the language could fill you in better...

-I didn't see any obvious fake breasts, yay!
-Videos can be downloaded in parts (many many parts, two sizes) or a single file (only one size available)

-Mediocre video quality on newer material, 832x468, 2300 kbps high end. Worst I downloaded was 520x416 1400 kbps. None of the videos are very crisp
-Poor camerawork is common
-Photo quality is poor to mediocre, 800x1200. Some scenes appear to be screenshot only.

-Poor navigation, although it has improved over the last time I joined this network. There is a model list that can be sorted by name/date/rating but no search function

Bottom Line:
Rather than try to review all the sites on this network, I will just post this and hope most of the people find it. Hopefully in the future this network will establish a main site ala 21sextury or DDF - certainly would make reviews easier.
This network of sites has definitely improved over the last time I was a member, the navigation is significantly better (it has gone from god-aweful to poor). Perhaps worth considering if you are into young eastern euro models.
Some of the bonus sites appear to be original content, others clearly are not. The only sites that appear to be currently updating are 18virginsex, trickyoldteacher, ifuckedherfinally, and spoiledvirgins.
As I said earlier they have integrated most of their content onto a single site (accesesible from the models tab on any of their sites), so you no longer have to keep browsing all the bonus sites. I am not entirely sure that all of their content is listed under the models list.
The content itself on the network is pretty variable, but I would say most of it is gonzo-style content. Some of the sites try to add some plot to the scenes, although since few are in english, it is pretty pointless (for me).
Didn't have any experience with customer service, billed through Epoch for me, no forum or anything of that nature, although you can add feedback on the sets (and rate them).
If you are into young natural women, this site might be one to consider. Hopefully they continue to improve - especially in the navigation/video quality/camerawork departments. They certainly find some attractive women, if only they could present them a little better.

I think this is a pretty good site, similar content-wise to JSexNetwork, although has more uncensored videos and has zips of all photo sets. I think JSexNetwork had slightly better photos, although they didn't have zips of most of their sets.
The site comes with four bonus sites:
*Puuko - an anime site, barely has any content
*analnippon - a video site with about 550 videos, mostly uncensored, obviously mostly anal - but often just with toys. Seems like a decent site, although anal isn't really my cup of tea so I didn't look around too much
*ocreampies - a video site with 600 uncensored videos mainly focused on cum related sex activities; creampie, bondage, bukkake mostly.
*bigtitstokyo - 250 videos big tits and large japanese women, looked uncensored but didn't look too much at this site
I am a big fan of asian ladies, and I think this site has a lot to offer. I find the quality of the photography on sites like these to be much more erotic than a lot of other (American/Euro) sites these days. I would recommend joining if you are a fan of Japanese porn. Just be aware, they always show the most attractive ladies in previews - and many of them only do softcore or edited content.
