T4K is part of a collection of sites that include Passion HD, Fantasy HD and POVD. It is NOT a one-pass, though and there are separate subscriptions to each site. I vaguely recall a "special" that I think was $69.00 a month for all of them. See my review on POVD, which I think is the most interesting of these sites.
The T4K angle is a gimmick to get people into this collection of sites. All of this material really belongsonthe other sites in the network, but the owners decided to increase shelf-space instead of improving the quality of their other sites. But unfortunately, the majority of updates to this collection of sites is here at T4K. BTW, None of the images on the marketing page are actually part of a video. None. Those amazing spreads of every model are nowhere to be found on the site and some of the videos are actually on sister sites. So don't go thinking based on the imaging that this is a POV site with a lot of scenes. It isn't. There are a few POV scenes or partial POV scenes, but most of it is shot from an observers perspective. (This type of window-dressing to get you into the site is common in this network.) I will say that much of the video is very good, though, as long as you turn the sound down so you don't hear the overly animated moans and squeaks. And a few of the videos are downright excellent.
The most annoying thing about this site is that they show you thumbnails to lots of scenes that are only available on the other sites, most of which you have to pay for. Sometimes they will throw you a bone and let you see something from another site for free, but the goal for the webmaster is to get you to sign up for two or three other sites that, given the small volume of this site and some of the other sites, should really be free.
It is worth visiting, but don't get sucked into paying for the rest of the network.
This site shows up on the "porn portal" first page for Twisty's members and I almost signed up before looking here for reviews. Two things kill it. First, it is streaming only. Yes, there are ways around that, but it sucks. And second, every video and most images have pixelated genitalia. Everything. (Kind of ironic considering the sex-crazed reputation some areas in Japan have....) Now, I get that these are Japanese and that is the law in Japan, but it is pretty unacceptable in the rest of the world. I'll wait until they ship these girls out of the country to film some unpixelated stuff.
So...after many years of having what I have always considered the highest standard for websites, literally a model for others to emulate, Met-Art is changing their website layout. When they first started floating a "beta" version of the new layout, I thought it was pretty awful and gave them my reasons why. Now, it looks like the old layout is just about to go away completely and we will be stuck with a site where the "live girls" portion, now taking up almost half of the main page, preventing me from clearly seeing what sets that I've already paid for are new. In my book, this greedy move falls just short of creating pop-ups or redirecting people at login to other offers. And the really sad thing is all they needed to do is adjust screen width slightly or establish a separate layout for mobile (which is probably part of why they made the change). I still click on the "classic site" option every chance I get because you get four models across and can see what is new, and once you get to a set you can actually see what you need to click to download a zip file rather than having to find some really tiny, cryptic camera icon. Clearly, I'm pretty annoyed about this and think they've taken a giant step backwards.
So....for those of you who subscribe to Met-Art, what do you think of the new web layout?
So...I see one model I like a lot and decided to try this site. Unfortunately, when you click on the "join" icon, you get a link to CCBill that says "account inactive". What kind of web site would let the billers account go inactive even for a minute? I'll follow up as now there is a quest (or maybe conquest) involved.
I've been a member of this site for many years but am getting increasingly frustrated because Femjoy is not keeping up with the times when it comes to file sizes. The small and medium download sizes are microscopic by today's standards. Small files are 800x535 and medium files are 1200x800. That is about 1/5 and 1/2 of my monitor's screen resolution (1920x1080). I've complained about this before and thought I got a response that they were working on it. Apparently not. Now the LARGE files are 6000x4000 these days, which is fine, but those large zip files take a long time to download, are slow to load and use up to half a gig of disk space each. Please, please please!!! Change the file sizes so you have a 2000 or 3000 option like Met Art, Hegre Art, X-Art, W4B, MPL and the rest of the sites in your niche. The larger size is OK (although several other sites are at 10,000 now), but the site has to bump up the size of the smaller images.
So I'm back. Go to the site through PU and the monthly price is now $38.95!!!! I open Chrome and go direct to the site and get a $29.95 option. I tried to purchase that repeatedly but the option will not load the Epoch pay site (the $99 annual option will, though.) (Yes, I cleared the cache, etc.) Tried Mozilla and it is $38.95. Three months in a row I've tried to join this site. Three months in a row I've gotten something that bothers me enough to pass. Off to Joymii, I guess!
So I am sitting here looking for another site to join and again came back to DDF. This time, when I followed the link from PU, the sign up link only shows 2 options. Sign up for 3-MONTHS at $89.99 or sign up for a year at $99.99. Wow, that is just ballsy. On a whim, I went direct to the site in another browser and there is a one month sign-up for $29.95 but it renews at $44.95! So they are randomly changing their pricing and options and might even be thumbing their noses at PU. I'm going to pass...again...
Well, I just tried to sign up and see two things that are a little frustrating.
First, the discounted price is up to $33.95. That is not a cache or related issue but is a revised discount from their new regular price of $44.95 a month. Wow...that has to be the most expensive monthly porn site price I have ever seen. Good luck with that.
And perhaps more annoying is that when I first went to the discounted sign-up page, I entered my site-unique username and password for this site into the form. Then I saw that the credit card handler is somebody I haven't heard of before (DDFsupport), NOT one of the ones listed on the charge page (like ccbill), so I backed out. After a few minutes, I decided to sign up anyway and came back to the sign up page. This time, the site said my username was already in use....because I typed it in 5 minutes earlier! This was unfortunate and was enough to make me decide to spend my money elsewhere. I hate getting jerked around before I even sign up for a site. Sorry, DDF, FTVgrls.com (and ccbill) gets my money today.
I rejoined EB as part of a special with Watch4Beauty. The EB site has had a slight freshening, but I'm not terribly impressed with the most recent content. First, it is all "B" roll! It seems as though these are sets of slightly less attractive models or, if mainstream models, slightly lesser quality sets. So they may not have been good enough for the main site, Met Art, when they were taken. Second, it is an odd collection of old and new sets. I recognize several models that retired back around 2008 or earlier and here they are in "new releases" this month with different names and the exact same look. A few models have sets from 2007 and new sets in 2014 and they look exactly the same...because they are old sets just being released now. (To their credit, EB lists the age of the model when the sets were taken, but I don't think those ages are accurate.) That usually only happens because the set was not rated very highly back when the model was popular but now, what the heck, who cares, release it! Fourth, some sets of once popular models might be a bit off because when these sets were taken, these models were very near retirement. There are a few sets where I looked at the model, recognized her and although she was still very attractive, she was several years older than she was at her peak. My typical male reaction was "Wow, what happened? She used to be really hot!" There is nothing that reminds you that YOU are getting old more than images of a favorite model showing that SHE is getting old. Depressing. There are also a few sets from the time before a popular model perfected her look. A lot of eastern European girls took a little time to perfect their looks and some of these sets are the "before" pictures. And lastly, releasing a set in 3 parts is positively annoying. There is no reason for this other than to string us along and get more money. Many Met Art sets have 120-160 images in them. These EB sets usually have 40-60 images spread over 2-3 or more pages of 20 images a page. They either do that to minimize load on their servers, or to make it look like there are more images. Either way, its a really cheap trick!
This site is still better than a lot of others out there, but it is really unfortunate when a good site goes mediocre.
They are running a promo for $10! (watch out for the cross-check) I just re-joined so I haven't seen much, but so far it looks about the same as it did in 2012 with more content. They still don't display sets on one page. Videos are 720p max and images are 3000 across max. Many very (too) familiar models here. Very easy to download zips. A lot of advertising...
For $10 I don't know how you can go wrong! (Read my old review.)
I wrote a review back in January of last year and am very happy to say the old login/password issue is gone! The photography is even better than it was last year and the collection is simply excellent, among the best soft core on the Internet. Now if only they would update once or more daily....... If you have never been to this site, I highly recommend it!
I have a long term subscription to Met Art and although a few sites in their affiliation group are discounted or sometimes free for trial periods, many of the sites that were once $10 a month to Met-Art members are now full-price. So ED is $29.00 as of the date of this note. That's really too bad as I used to join an extra site in the network every month or so. At $10 or $15, I wouldn't think twice before joining. At $29.00, these sites are competing with literally every other site on the Internet and this network usually loses out on the opportunity to earn my subscription money as I'll chose some other site I have not been a member of before. If anyone finds a discount, publish it here!
I've recently started subscribing to sites for a year at a time because, after doing the math, I realize I spend that much at my favorite sites anyway and the longer memberships are usually great values. Usually...except...not with nubiles.net. A 1 year membership with Nubiles WITH the PU discount is $209.00!!! $209??? Wow, that is a lot! A regular, undiscounted 1 year membership with Met Art is $99. Femjoy: $99. MC Nudes: $99. Twisty's: $119. Als Scan: $139. There are a couple of sites that charge $150 or so for a 1 year membership, but very, very few that charge $209. Since there is no real incentive for me to sign up for a year (3 months free compared to others 6 months free), I guess I will have to join for a month or two and then quit for awhile like I used to do. Oh well... A pain for me and a loss of revenue for them.
I firmly believe that a web site is only as good as its customer service. Once again this week, Met Art demonstrated that it is an AWESOME web site by providing some of the best online customer service I have ever experienced.
I upgraded my subscription from monthly to annual. My monthly subscription was through Epoch and my annual subscription is now through their new biller(Rocketgate?). What I did not realize is that Epoch had already queued me up for my monthly charge, which I saw on my account a few days after upgrading. I sent an email to Met Art support telling them about the issue. Within a few minutes, here is first class the response I got:
So sorry for your trouble; however rest assured you are in great hands and our support team is looking into this issue ASAP.
we will make you happy.
all the best,
Amnon
===========================
OK, I'm not easily impressed, but here is a guy who truly understands how important it is to be responsive to customers.
So many other websites (adult or otherwise) really don't care when there are problems and some (often adult) are downright obnoxious (Go look at the chain of my MPL Studios comments. I complained about an easily resolvable problem and MPL Studios blamed ME and permanently kicked me off of their site.)
Oh, and yes, I was promptly refunded the Epoch overcharge and received a follow up email from Met Art customer service to ensure everything was OK.
Kudos to Met Art for not only having a terrific web site, but for ensuring that, in the words of the CEO, "I am happy". Yes, I am happy. Thank you very much!
I'm looking at the previews to these two sites (wowgirls.com and 18onlygirls.com) and the images and videos are almost exactly the same, but they do not appear to be part of a network. Anyone have any info about that?
I joined this site because the Girl they call Katie Fey is a personal favorite. Katie was Jenya at Met Art and was in Playboy as a Russian by the name of Yevgeniya Diordiychuk. I never expect much from these solo sites, but there was a lot of material here from between 2004 and 2008. I counted 300 sets!
Apparently, she is either retired or is no longer updating this site because the last sets were from 2008. Although she is smoking hot, she is not a porn model and most of the images were barely nude. The resolution of the images was 1000k or smaller.
There are some other sites that came with the deal, but they were of nobody I'd ever heard of, were very old (i.e. small and pooor quality) and most were not nude. I may have saved maybe one set from the other sites.
If you are "Katie Fay" collector, this site is worth it. If you hang around on the sign-up page long enough, you will get a "chat" pop-up and doing so will reduce the cost by $5.
I just joined this site a few days ago and so far, it isn't bad at all. It is an "Art" or "Nude" site, mostly what I call "Girl in the woods" stuff, but many of the models are exclusive. The non-exclusive models are top-tier (perhaps from before they were mainstream), and all of the models are, for the most part, absolutley flawless.
I definitely see the granularity, mentioned elsewhere in feedback, in many of the larger images, even brand new posts. This leads me to believe that the host is drawing on older images that are previously unreleased..or he just doesn't want anybody zooming in or printing razor sharp, life-sized images of the models and thinks the grainy look is artsy. (Remember when the images in Penthouse Magazine had that odd glow/fuzz effect?) It's distracting but not terminal.
I'll do a full review in a few days once I 've had a chance to look around.
Here's a letter I just sent ccBill within 20 minutes of joining MPL Studios. PU Sysadmin, there isn't really a forum here to discuss account management systems, so I'm dropping this on the related website in the hope that both companies will notice. CCbill is generally MUCH better than the other account managers, but lately, I've had a lot of problems with them.
Here's the letter.
I’ve been happy to use ccBill and have been trusting you as a billing provider for years. Check my email address and you will see a history that is as long as your business has existed. But lately, service has gotten so poor that I am uncertain if joining a site that uses ccBill is worth it.
Tonight I joined MPL Studios for the first time. Not only did ccBill generate a RANDOM password and username, which I hate enough to cancel subscriptions over, but the lsgmodels login pop-up prevented me from toggling back and forth from the ccbill username page to the login. When I finally opened ccBill in a different browser and was able to get the insane user name and password info, the MPL Studios site would not let me in. I can only assume that I exceeded some kind of login attempt limit imposed by you.
Look, you guys are among the better account administrators out there, but I recently cancelled my subscription to met-art because I attempted to log in on several occasions and was unable to because YOUR login servers were down. I cancelled a subscription to Watch 4 Beauty because the random password was soo damn difficult to deal with, I gave up.
As a 20 year IT professional, I understand the importance of security, etc. You are going to tell me something like “the host web site required...” Bullcrap. As a leading service provider, you are in a position to explain to the host that random passwords cause them to lose customers. And a lockout after a certain number of attempts should redirect me to YOUR site to reset the account, not leave me mad enough to cancel the account immediately. In the end, any web based service must satisfy two needs to be successful. It must be convenient and it must be reliable. Random passwords make your service incredibly inconvenient and the inability of a user in good standing to log in to a site he/she paid for makes your service unreliable.
PLEASE FIX THESE ISSUES!!
And while you are at it, unlock my account on MPL Studios so I can use the account I JUST PAID FOR!
==========
Now, after I wrote this letter, I went ahead and called ccBaill. They told me that MPL Studios will not allow them to reset passwords that get locked out and that only they can do it. So now I'm sitting here witha paid subscription I cannot use. I will be sneding a letter to MPL Studios, as well, and I have already cancelled my brand new subscription because no website should subject thier customers to this kind of nonsense.
1-day intro is A FRAUD SCAM! FRAUD! FRAUD!
Only 1 video view allowed and viewing the 2nd video triggers an automatic $39.95 charge (which is more than the regular monthly charge)! NO WARNING OR REQUEST FOR APPROVAL!
Only 23 girls on the site as of 12/8/12
Each girl has 1 video except for doubles (3), so that is 20 videos, total!
$39 for that! Get real!
I saw right away that this site only has 20 or so videos, but they looked interesting, so I decided to give the 1-day membership a try. When the site did not like my username and asked me to change it, the cross-sales I had unchecked mysteriously became checked again. If I had not noticed it, I would have been charged $40 right then for a site I did not ask for and would not have even known about.
Once I got into the site, I started to download one video and was unable to right click and choose "download". As soon as I tried to EVEN LOOK AT a 2nd video, the page changed to an "UPGRADING ACCOUNT, please wait" page. I immediately paged back and tried another page. Same thing on the next page. Within 90 seconds, I got a call from my credit card company asking if I had authorized a $39.95 charge to Segway in Great Britain. Clearly, I did not! To ensure that they did not try to charge me again some other way, I had to cancel the card and get a new one issued.
There is absolutely nothing sleazier than baiting people with a 1-day intro pass and not telling them ON THE MAIN SIGNUP PAGE, what the limitations and expectations are. My experience with other sites in this network (SSC Group, LLC) has not been particularly good and I consider this baiting tactic just plain fraud!
Be very, very careful if you decide to join this site or other sites in this network. Clearly, they are a hit-and-run operation that does not care if they rip you off or not. DO NOT USE the 1-DAY PASS as you will almost certainly be charged the highest possible monthly rate just for clicking on a link to see what you thought you had already signed up for!
Oh, BTW, just to be completely fair, in the unlikely event that the webmaster for this network sees my review. Take a look at my 100% trust rating and then respond if you wish with a justification for the insanely unethical charging tactics you have. I will gladly retract this review if you can justify your tactics.
In the meantime, I recommend to everyone to STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE AND NETWORK!
I thought I'd write a comment here just in case anyone thinks no review means this site might be worth it. In this case it isn't.
I am constantly getting unidentified anonymous spam from this network. Anonymous spam....the worst possible kind. I've joined enough sites to know that when a legitimate site emails you, there is a link back to the site and there is an option to unsubscribe. Not with these emails. They are completely anonymous and say something like "(your name here), you won't believe this." Never, ever trust a solicitation to an adult site that does not adhere to ethical business practices. "Ethical" in this case means they properly identify who they are, what they want and how you can tell them to buzz off if you want to.
Now...about the site. At some point, I was a little curious about "Watch my Girlfriend" and another site in this network, so I joined. $30 totally and completely wasted. The "Network" recycles many of the same images across many sites. A significant number of images (look closely at a few on the Sluts with Phones teaseer page) are NOT EVEN REAL PHOTOS! They are graphics! Many others are photoshopped. Many of the images were....obtained elsewhere and reposted. And the vast majority of them are not nude. There are no regular releases of new material and the material that is there is not organized with dates. What you get is a very small collection of crappy images. The ones on the teaser page are the best of the bunch. The rest are "user submissions" or something to that effect. Some of th esites doen't seem to update at all.
Although the concept seems interesting, I am practically certain that the only objective of this network is to hit-and run with your wallet. There are a lot of really excellent sites that will set you back far less than this garbage. You generally can't go wrong with the high scoring sites reviewed here at PU.
Just stay away from this one. SO not worth it.
Oh, and you PU editors, if you want to do a real community service, let me know and I'll put up the money for a subscription to this network so you can give it a real review.
