Thank you Amanda! I'm not complaining, too much anyway. It was awfully sporty of them to charge only $1.48. I was able to download all the available scenes once I figured out the limitation. -) But yes, it should be mentioned on the trial somewhere about the minor limitation, not that it should or would prevent anyone from taking advantage of it.
Not to digress, but I do have a very legitimate complaint. When I first joined, the download button wasn't available and it seemed to be streaming only. I sent a message to them and never heard back. Bad support, boo. Later on though, the download button seemed to appear.

That is probably because it is not a full-fledged site. It is just a landing page within the DDF site. It also does not appear on their list of sites within the DDF main site. Odd. Clearly still in development.

Hi Amanda, Thanks for the reply. I honestly can't recall the name of the pay-to-play site. May have been life Selector. I remember a teaser that allowed you to get a few choices in and then hit you up for tokens or something so you could keep playing. Seemed rather expensive as I recall...the cost seemed roughly the same as a live chat model. Life Selector looks like it might have been it.
In the isn't that funny department, I think I had a copy of the CD called "Penthouse Interactive Photo Shoot, Volume 1", hosted by Bob Guccione and released in 1994. It was interactive in the same way as these sites (well, except it was a photo shoot, not sex), and at the end you were critiqued by the voice of Bob Guccione himself. It was interesting the first time, OK the next ten times and cheesy after that. So the concept is far from new.
In a more pragmatic sense, I think a lot of porn consumers may be editing their own videos anyway. I do. Who has time these days to watch a 30 minute porn video that has a 5 minute lead-up, 10 minutes of fellatio and a 5 minute hand job at the end. The way to make this concept work in my mind would be to provide a monthly subscription rate, then allow the subscriber to build and DOWNLOAD his/her video after creating it to suit his/her specific tastes. BAM! New concept!
Oh, I just noticed that these two sites ( InteractiveGirlfriend and Life Selector) must be owned by the same group because the videos are the same. Maybe they can use my idea above....

Thank you SO MUCH for taking my comments in the correct and positive light. In the end, we are all pretty committed to making TBP and PU a great place for people to find out what is good and what is bad. If PU isn't the CU of porn, I think it is at least safe to say you are the tomato meter. :-)

Thanks for the quick response. I know you guys have a LOT of site reviews to manage, but there really needs to be a better way to deal with this type of situation where a site changes its domain name, especially when the old domain name is still active. By not attaching an old domain to a new one, you are inadvertently aiding and abetting those really awful sites that change their name to evade bad reviews and deceive people into signing up for something again. At the same time, this process means that well established and highly rated sites that change their domain name for other reasons are treated like new sites with unknown reputations. Seems like the bad guys win here.
Hegre-Art.com actively links to this new hegre.com domain and the format and content hasn't changed at all. As a member for many years, I didn't even notice that the name had changed because all of my bookmarks still work. In TBP and PU The search for Hegre-Art returns a not-found or a message that says the site is no longer active. Totally not true. Even a search reference as simple as "This site is now X" would be helpful.
On the other hand, I have signed up for a couple of sites that have had no review only to find that it is the exact same crummy site that I had signed up for before where only the domain name had changed. This isn't common, but it does happen, especially among small niche sites.
So, unfortunately, the limitations of the TBP/PU system not being able to cross-reference site names are doing a disservice to your viewers. From my perspective, you are inadvertently helping these bad sites deceive people while hurting the really good, well established ones that change their name for other reasons. As the Consumer Reports of porn, I know you can come up with a better way.
I went ahead and created an updated review so that at least there is a PU score associated with the new domain name.

I don't know if they need to be closed or not, this doesn't seem to happen all that often from what I've seen with these spam comments. The issue is though someone could just use a VPN and easily post from the same computer under what appears to be from different ip addresses. Like the slew of comments on this site all within a few minutes of each other you know isn't just a coincidence especially when they are all zero users and similar in wording.

Hi everyone, thank you for the advice! I managed to cancel whatever transaction I got myself into by simply cancelling the Direct Debit from my online bank account. If anyone is curious, the payee name is 'Webbilling.com' so either it is solely an EU-based cross-sell or somehow this website managed to obtain my details.
There haven't been any charges on my card (as of now) and hopefully there won't be! If there are, I'll be disputing the charge straight away. Thank you all for the help! Great website!
