Pretty much exactly what I would have written. You can generally clip out 50% or more of a porn video because it's just some guy (not me) getting blown. Sometimes they're OK because, like you said, boobs.

I Can't see Mission Impossible coming back to TV as long as they are making movies and even after they do stop making them because many of the plot lines that were popular in the 60's would simply no longer make sense in 2017.
Network TV couldn't afford to pay the salary of all the stars you would need to make a new Laugh In show. Most of them are either too cheap or they make more money with reality TV.

I had something similar with Amateur Allure. I used to subscribe regularly and then took out an annual membership because it was a good deal. They've since increased their annual membership fee so it isn't a better deal. Now I'm back to joining every six months or so. I'd stay a member if they had a better offer.

Same here - I binge download everything I like then go back every once in a while and watch my recent videos. I then delete whatever wasn't as awesome as it was when I downloaded it; the videos that I can get off to again and again, those I keep.

I don't think I ever went to a porn movie house.
I saw Emanuelle and The Story of O in a 'regular" movie house, which normally showed regular, commercial theatrical movies.
At the time I was living in Augusta, GA, which didn't have any porn movie houses.
This was back in the 1970s.
Augusta didn't have any porn shops, although it did sell X-rated novels in some of its bookstores, back then.
I believe Hugh Hefner worked for Esquire before he founded Playboy.
I never read Esquire, but I'm aware it was a sophisticated men's magazine (still is, as far as I can tell), that was similar to Playboy without the sexy nude photos (high grade fiction, interest in fashion, lifestyle, etc.)
I'm surprised Esquire is still around, when so many other magazines have gone out of business.
The internet is wonderful, but it has killed a lot of newspapers and magazines that were very important.

All great examples but these women all have on thing in common and it's that they never really did a lot of hardcore (if any) porn. I'd also like to add that they were all pre-2008 when it was possible to have an long term porn career without doing hardcore. I don't think that is possible now and hasn't been for many years. You can still do solo and softcore with a some midcore stuff but the opportunities will be few and far between so making huge sums of money will be next to impossible.
The harsh reality for sanyone who is considering a career in the porn industry and only doing stuff that is not more intense than midcore is likely doomed to fail which is too bad because once upon a time you had many studios that were dedicated to the more artistic aspect of porn (I think using the term porn is incorrect when talking about these sites) because they don't really exist all that much anymore.
If a girl wants any kind of porn career than hardcore has to be an option. Otherwise she will get plenty of offers in the beginning but these will quickly disappear and the money she will make on those softcore jobs will not be all that great.

I understand where you are coming from, but I don't think you can compare softcore modeling or even European porn to mainstream US porn. Very few models make the transition to hardcore easily because the traits needed for the two are different. Those who do make the transition may simply be starting in softcore with a plan to move on as they gain popularity. Also, European and some american nude models make a shitload of money, probably as much as or more than US porn stars do. Sidney Moon started with Playboy, made a lot of money modeling and was able to retire without going into porn videos (although she did a couple of girl/girl videos back in the Danni's Hotbox days.) Marketa Belonoha never did a single porn or girl/girl scene, often had two shootings a day and retired fairly wealthy in her early 30s.
There are a lot of European models that have done what I'll call European porn but will probably never progress beyond sex with their real life boyfriends on-screen. Connie Carter, often seen in Met-Art is a good example of that. There are also a lot of softcore models that are lesbians and won't do boy/girl sex scenes. This gets back to the traits thing I spoke of earlier. (i.e. Sydney, I think.)
So, my point is that nobody HAS to progress to freaky porn to be successful. There are plenty of very, very successful nude models that don't and plenty of their followers who appreciate it.

Fluffers are a weirdly persistent myth for the majority of the porn industry. In normal shoots the dudes just jerk off to keep themselves hard when lights need to be moved around or whatever. Sometimes the actress will lend a hand or mouth. A lot of guys use chemical aids like viagra.
There is the exception of bukkake / massive gangbang shoots which will indeed hire porn stars for the sole purpose of giving blowjobs to the guys next in line, as sometimes visible in the Czech Gangbang videos. In Gangbang 17 the "fluffers" and the host are grabbed by some of the men and brought into the action, while I doubt that it wasn't staged, they do a good job of making it believable.

Yes, I always thought that if a site had a monitored forum which rapidly responded to customers thoughts, complaints, and ideas, it would certainly keep many loyal customers. I remember back in the very early days of Kink.com being given the opportunity to provide feedback which ended up in them actually creating a new site. Even though I was only a small part of the new idea, I felt wonderful about their listening and working with that idea. Probably spent a lot more money over these many years at Kink.com simply because I felt a loyalty that I wouldn't feel from webmasters who don't listen.
I love the idea of the customer service supervisor caring enough be an "undercover boss." I used to teach customer service representatives and did phone work myself just to show that even with difficult customers (and there were many), shutting up and actually listening to their angry complaints was more important than anything else. Often listening and a small showing of generosity at the end would win the loyalty and good words of customers who otherwise would have gone away in disgust.

There are some sites incorporate music well (I strongly recommend you check out New Girl POV), but I think now it's mostly used to cover up outdated/European porn.

Add also the fact that you had to either go to specialty porn shop or you had to go into those little backrooms to be able to rent porn movies and don't get me started on having to rewind each VHS or Beta taper after viewing.
I know a lot of people bitch about false advertising in many of todays movies but they have no idea what they are talking about because I have been burned a hundred time by renting of God forbid buy a movie based on the crappy little back pics or the synopsis that was pure B.S.
The quality was never an issue for me because I've always been able to overlook that if what I'm watching is turning me on.

I 100% agree with your agreement with pat and your comments. These are great days for those of us who buy porn. Even a new site with just a handful of excellent scenes for a $30 monthly fee is still a good value when measured up with how you described life before the internet. I could rent three titles for $10 and if I was lucky there were four or five scenes on those tapes or DVDs that were worth watching.
And consider storage: I have what would likely fill an entire large porn shop and it's all discretely stashed in a locked briefcase.

I don't think we can add cunnilingus to the list because it is now something so rare in porn that some people have probably never seen it performed on screen if they only watch b/g porn. About the only place I see it these days is in lesbian porn. In fact I would say that the only place where you are sure to see cunnilingus and kissing is in g/g porn.

Not only do they not enjoy it, they really hate it.
By the time they've not eaten for hours, given themselves an enema and thoroughly cleaned (no-one wants to see a scat movie), then the whole area is even more sensitive than normal. Even using anaesthetic cream doesn't stop it entirely - I've even heard of girls resorting to injecting local anaesthetics to get through anal scenes. You'll have to buy an old 5 1/4" floppy drive. They're about $35 on eBay. You'll probably also need a floppy controller card, because most modern BIOS don't have native support for 5 1/4" floppy drives. If you want to see those photos again, I'd get them now, because the hardware you need will only get harder to find and more expensive.
