All my tvs and monitors are widescreens, so having them in full screen isn't great due to the black bars on either side.

My computer monitor is widescreen so that's what I prefer, though not require, but that means the videos have to be either recorded in HD (usually only very new stuff) or were digitized from film (in other words, almost never). I would prefer that all new videos be recorded in HD since the technology is so widely available now, but it's not a requirement.

I picked 'other' because it would all depend on my monitor. If I still had my old 4x3 CRT monitor then I would prefer letter box because I like to see the whole picture. With my present wide screen LCD monitor I like watching in full screen, but letter box would also be tolerable .. so, there you have it, three different answers.

I certainly prefer full screen quality - but not require - still some of my favorites in my stash is certainly not for full screen - and lately the hunt for vintage erotica cannot satisfy demand for top quality.
But for new paysites - guess I want that crisp deals.

I prefer to see everything that was originally recorded, in the proper aspect ratio.

I prefer widescreen so I usually look for dvd's that are themselves in that format. I'm not too picky when it comes to online stuff. I'll take it however I can get it.

Widescreen is preferable anymore. Most new monitors are widescreen and so are TVs so it only make sense to go for content that is in widescreen. Now if it is something I want and 4:3 is the only option then I will not make much of a fuss about it.
Sevrin is 100% right. The most important thing is no cropping and stretching, I can tell!

While I prefer 16:9 as almost all of my equipment is widescreen, I would definatly take untouched 4:3 content over content filmed in 4:3 and cropped to 16:9.

Who even thinks about such details? I am happy if I can find some porn that is watchable (clips), or viewable (photos). I would like the porn to be cleanly lighted with attractive models. I am not an auteur who is viewing world class art or film, I'm just trying to find some good-looking, erotic porn. Lol.

I have a widescreen monitor so a full screen is letterboxed (16x9). I really like the new HD videos from Brazzer's, Kink, etc. that fill up my screen and are CLEAR.

I love the full screen option, but lately I'm more interested in images, preferably landscape images.
As for videos, as long as it's decently clear I'm happy :)

Letterbox began as a wide-screen format for epic films of the Cecil B. Demented variety in movie theaters. I've never liked it myself. I just like that tube to be fully loaded with eye candy. Because now some computer screens are "wide," you get the same effect with porn vids sometimes, though the "floods" and the "Red Sea" look a tad different.
And for those who don't care, it's important enough to tell everyone anyway. LOL.
