How old is "enough"? Aren't they still around, or have carnivals become less creepy?

What an excellent question! Now I get to start the day fantasizing about a kissing booth with Aubrey Addams. (Pre-boob-job - this is MY fantasy!) Excuse me while I go empty my bank account.

Maybe instead of "old" enough, it should be country enough, or redneck enough, etc. I'm sure they're still in carnivals travelling around the country.

Lucky I haven't seen a kissing booth with one of my fantasy girls or my bank account would be empty, too.

LOL.
I've never seen one in real life, only in the movies. I guess they're still around in "small town" America, place that are stuck a generation behind.

I visit county fairs and other small town Americana the way the younger set attends raves and concerts... but I haven't seen a Kissing Booth since the late 1960s and a Tunnel of Love since circa 1980.

Yes, but do you really have to be that old?

Tunnel of love ride - we even had here in Europe (quite some time ago).
But kissing booth?
Never heard of it - till james4096 and careylowell gave me a hint here...it just sounds cute and quite "innocent"....and a bit cozy/sweet, too.
Here in Europe I would not be surprised if someone turned that into a "fucking booth"...

REPLY TO #10 - Denner :
That year's local beauty queen would raise funds for charity by selling kisses for some paltry amount. Fifty cents usually. Her spartan booth was never more than a chair for her and a rough hewn desk, over which men would lean for a quick chaste kiss.

OK!
THAT...I've seen it in some older movies - and it was just, well, what can I say: cute, sweet, innocent ect...............and: those were the days....before the world was a mess and went ugly.
Thanks for this info, careylowell!

Neither are really part of my country's culture, so that would have to be a 'No.'

Certainly old enough, but lacked the adventuresome spirit, I guess.
But then, I was never much on topless bars either.

Kissing Booth...Is that even legal anymore?
And does its a small world count as a tunnel of love?

that would make for some pretty awkward "love". perhaps that ride in Epcot, can't remember what's its called ad haven't been there in forever.
the most recent place I have seen a kissing booth was a hipster d-bag valentines party a couple of years ago, but the girls weren't that cute and it seemed particularly odd on valentines day. i assume they are still be legal, but I doubt they would have checked the laws before setting it up at the bar.

I've been on a "tunnel of love" ride in an amusement park as a kid but I'm not sure if that is a loaded term that implies something more. Never heard of those booths though.

Maybe I'm too young, but I thought those were just something they had in movies and cartoons as an exaggeration os something that happened ages ago....
Guess I live in the wrong part of the world

Heard of both but only from the movies! I get kissing booths though I wonder if sometimes the guy tried for more than a kiss! If it was a local girl everyone knew and people were close by I guess it was okay, but if it's a carnival but no local reputations to maintain and the carnival girl a stranger I wonder!!
I never knew what Tunnel of Loves were - was the idea it was like a romantic ride where you kissed and hugged?
