Two:
FireFox because it's far better than any others.
IE because some sites require it.

Firefox (the default) and IE (the backup). Recently, my Firefox had to be completely wiped off and restored. IE was helpful for that.

Netscape 9 for porn - OLD habit, but it works fine with passwords managing and downloads....(and the icon hidden a secret place)
Firefox for every thing else
IE - never use it

Browsers are like tools. Having several in the toolkit for different purposes is very useful. Opera for Porn (I love the speed dial type screen which has Porn Users as the first speed dial link). Firefox for business. IE for home and Google Chrome for Misc.
When there's a problem on one browser I simply switch to an alternate.

I'm like Monahan and RustyJ except in reverse. IE for most of my regular surfing and Firefox for everything else.

I use Safari on the Mac for my regular and work stuff; Firefox for porn, as it's set on permanent private mode, and DownThemAll can be a lifesaver.
Sometimes Chrome for either - it's good, but I'm inherently suspicious of Google :|

I have Firefox and IE installed on my computer but only use Firefox. I haven't come across a single site where I needed IE. I might be more inclined to use it if they had a master password like Firefox.

I develop web based systems in my dayjob and have personal site as a hobby so I need to test in as many browsers as possible. This means my PC's (and phone) have every browser known to man installed.

I'm a Mac girl. Safari here. But I also use Camino. Seems I'm the odd woman out here. :)

Love Firefox on my Mac, as it has all the options in looks, add-ons, and controls that I want/need. I'm generally dissatisfied with Safari, Opera, and Chrome, which all feel like they have too few user controls in the endless pursuit of "simpler is better" (in this case it's not). And IE is almost a joke to me now, though I think you can still download a version for Macs.

I'm suspicious too. :-)
They probably have an exhaustive record of every move I've ever made on the web, but I'd at least like to think they don't know everything about me!

REPLY TO #15 - turboshaft :
There was a federal law passed recently that requires all ISPs to keep a record for one year plus on all accounts. That record is basically freely available to law enforcement agencies in the investigation of criminal activity. So your complete browsing history is basically available to law enforcement, in case they want to investigate you or any group you might be related to.
The "supposed justification" of the new law was this was a measure against child porn. But all ISPs are required to keep a complete record of all clients' internet activity, with bank account and credit card payment history, as well.

REPLY TO #16 - lk2fireone :
No law was passed. The house passed a bill but the senate must still vote. It requires that the ISP keep credit card and bank record for your account that pays for your internet account with the ISP. Payment & financial transactions with most external sites are SSL encrypted and the ISP cannot see this data.

I've got 4 installed;
Chrome (which is the one I use the most)
Firefox (handy for things that Chrome can't handle - which is very rare)
Internet Explorer (back-up for both Chrome and Firefox)
Opera (back-up for the back-up)
