The real answer for me is not available; it varies depending on the content and volume of that content.
I always sign up for one month and will cancel a few days in. If I like the site I will re-up either for another month, or if it's a truly exceptional site (21sextury, for example) for a longer term.

On those few occasions I join a new site, normally One month is usually enough.
But believe it or not, I started a membership with a mixed-porn site called Guba (now SkinVideo) back in the late 90s ...and have maintained a continuous and unbroken membership since.

1-2 months. Only 21st sextury tempted me for longer because of the descending price each month ($20, then $15, then $10) and huge amount of content.

On average it is for a month or less, but not always. I've subscribed to some sites on a three months (AO30) or yearly basis (VideoBox and 21sextury).

Very rarely will I stay for longer than a month, but I have had a couple of subscriptions for longer. This is either before I started downloading stuff, or more recently when there is tons of content, or very frequent updates.

I picked one month because that's the most common type of membership I use but I've been a Brazzer member for over a year and I will probably keep my 21sextury membership for at least a year. It's just that I would probably never join a site for that long. Maybe once a upon a time I would have but the way the porn business is these days. then almost any site/network could close and I'm not so sure you'd get your money back.

A 5th option, "all of the above", would be most accurate for me.

I missed that word "favourite." I changed my vote to "annual," which I've done only for the special sites.Where annuals are not available, I go for the longest available.
I've been a member of VideoBox for at least six straight years without interruption, for example.

Either 1 month or a year. I've not found a site yet that I can't get all I want within a month; but if the updates are there I'll take the year membership if it's heavily discounted (as most are).

It's a long time since i've stayed at a site longer than 1 month. In years gone buy i've bought 3 month memberships to sites like ATK where you get a reduced price for the longer term but that was really more to do with the fact that for several years i only had 512k broadband connection so had no chance of downloading everything i wanted in a month.

Really depends on the site, what kind of annual deals do they have, what can I download in one month, etc.
I do enjoy traveling around quite a bit though, so maybe 1 month for each site I visit is the right answer :)
