bacardiancoke (0) If the site is specialist in some way (niche, performer etc.) then signing up as a one off is no bad thing.

otoh (0) Exactly as bacardiancoke said.

I suspect most of us join most sites for just a month and so the backlist of material is far more of a draw than whatever turns up during that month. It hasn't happened yet, but I'd happily join a non-updating site if it has material I like.

elephant (0) I would if there movies I don't have and the price is right, Otah is totally right updates are ok for the month but you don't get many so the draw is the other stuff already on the site.

RustyJ (Suspended) It strongly depends. Not repeatedly or for longer periods though. If the backlog is good, why not?

Capn (0) Maybe.

It really depends if it has exclusive content that appeals.

It would almost certainly be a one hitter though.

Drooler (Disabled) I've done it at least a couple of times. Sweet Lilya clearly was no longer adding content, but so much I did not have that I went for it. Ambya was another, though I didn't realize for sure it had no longer any more exclusive material until I got in as a subscriber.

I'm glad that these kinds of sites stick around. If they've got good content, fewer people will miss out on the chance to get it.

And so it's a shame that some sites stop and just go dark. Examples are Denude Art, Radiant Nude, and Nubile Art. They all had exclusive content, and they were at least OK to really good.

Denner (0) Generally: NO!

But when and if I find a site with a good/some amount of productions, vids and sets, of favorite models - maybe.

Been looking at this one - and it certainly do not look like it's updating:

But Molly, alias this and this, has done some great stuff at Nubiles as Diane...

Agree completely. In fact if I know the site is dormant, that can be a good thing because I know that I can drain the good stuff then close out on my own timetable.

rearadmiral (0) Updates are only one factor for me in deciding to join a site. If it has a particular theme or performer that I want to see, then definitely. I joined Water Bondage twice knowing it was no longer updating and I'd still recommend it to anyone with an interest in that narrow niche.

messmer (Disabled) My fear, when it comes to sites that no longer update, is that they carry material that is not as good, technically, as the new stuff. So I pass!

pat362 (0) The reason I picked maybe is because it depends on the cost but more importantly on when they stopped updating. I've joined a couple of sites this year that although claimed to still be updating. The reality is that they were releasing remastered older content. The deal was good so I wasn't disapointed but I also got burned more than once and my reviews show that.

tangub (0) I join sites for their past archives and have joined several sites over the years in the knowledge they are no longer updating.

slategrey (0) It depends if the old updates are of good quality and if the price is reasonable for a site no longer updating.

gaypornolover (0) Maybe, but obviously only for the minimum term so I can download what I what - no point in sticking around beyond that.

It does put me off though - if a site seems abandoned then I feel less safe using it - like there's not going to be anyone to help if I need support. Also, it's just nice to be able to feel a site is still fresh and updating and even that they might listen to your feedback.

So yes, but more reluctantly and if two sites seemed similar I'd join the updating one in preference.

exotics4me (0) I definitely would for a month and have several times. Raven Riley's site is a good example. Her site is worth even the $30 price to get all the content she has on it.

picdude (0) As long as there's decent content; enough vids at a good quality then i don't see why not. Would be very unlikely that I would stick around or rejoin though.

Monahan (0) REPLY TO #16 - exotics4me :

A gorgeous babe, Victoria Pink, set up a site back in 2007 or 2008 with some pix and videos. She's got perfect boobs and the content is good, albeit very limited, however the site has been dormant for years. At $15, it was worth it for the two or three days it takes to drain the site.

But it takes a real set of gonads to bump the price to $20 when all they sell is a bit of bandwidth.

hodayathink (0) As long as I know there's content I want on the site, yes. Only for a month, but yes.

anyonebutme (0) If the site has something I want, why would I choose not to join the site?

No matter what the website is, whether it is still updating or not, I join based on the material that is currently on the site, not the material that will be added to the site.

yote78 (0) Yes, I've done it several times. So long as the content is hot and there's plenty of it, it doesn't matter if the site updates. I just move on (or out) after I've enjoyed everything the site has to offer.
