Certainly if you pick your subscriptions well and use special prices offered here. A DVD used to cost many times the cost of what today gets you a months subscription to sites with much higher quality.

What RustyJ said. Despite our gripes about prices, and regional pricing, online porn remains hugely good value, when compared either to the price of what DVDs used to cost (and still cost in some shops).
Or indeed compared to the price of mainstream media available online for streaming/downloading etc. (Although admittedly most of the films available on eg iTunes do have slightly higher production values than most porn...)

Spent $50 for an old 8mm once upon a time and $100 for my first porn beta video "The Opening of Misty Beethovan." I'd say porn on the web is an unbelievable bargain I never thought I'd see.

The only better entertainment values out there are probably Netflix and Amazon Prime, and both of those aren't available all over the world yet. So it's a great value.

Definitely - the price of a months subscription is a similar or even lower price than a single porno DVD, and you usually get a lot more content for your money.
This only refers to non-DRM download sites though - streaming sites are not such good value and pay-per-view sites usually work out more expensive than DVDs.

There is such a variation in value, that I voted 'other'.
Some are good value, some are not even worth the time spent looking at them.
I find very little that fits my niche, but those that do I find good value.

Generally, if I'm going to purchase a site's content, then I'm hoping it is, but only after access can one truly tell the value of that entertainment dollar spent. So I'm not sure if this falls under Undecided or Other or Yes & No.

Absopositively good value! In the last decade I'd rent videos at a 3 fer price of $7.00 and copy off the good stuff using two VCR's. (Most porn videos had no copy protection back then.)
But many of the rented videos were "crap shoots" because the only clue I had about the quality of the content was the box and the reputation of the producer/director. I would guess that 50% of the stuff I rented was returned without any copying at all because it was really crap.
Now, I not only get a whole lot more content, I also have the ability to preview everything before downloading. Better yet, my 2Tb external drive is a whole lot better than a closet full of copied over videos that are a real pain in the butt to find the "good stuff."

One theatre or concert ticket + fuel to drive to the nearest city + parking costs about £25 to £30, say about $40 to $45.
So yes, online porn is very good value.

Yes, online porn memberships is excellent value when compared with other ways of getting porn and with most other means of entertainment too. Movies, concerts, dining out all cost a lot. Golf too. And if your entertainment involves burning fuel, boating, trailering, avaition, etc., then online porn is still an excellent value.
Too bad we can't discuss our hobby in the same way everyone else does...

I guess I am the odd man out here, I said no. The question itself invites the topic to question this so I did. Looking at the forum and other polls people often do not watch or use all that they download online. They spend hours, weeks and months maybe years on a resource they have no intent of using once downloaded, So time, bandwidth and hardrive space is all used for a system many will not even use. Even 10 years ago a person would by or rent a VHS tape for that one resource they would use. I think cost is only one factor everyone uses, and I tend to think it is not the only answer for this poll. I think many use 100% more time to get the quality they want now as apposed to just buying off the rack. Lets look at it this way, if all you have is Walmart to buy your shoes from, cause Rockports and Redwings are not around. You buy Walmart. The internet change all that where settling is not even in our vocabulary and now the average porn user spends 10 or 20 times more resources to get what they want. So is it a good value, yes if you think money. But no is the answer if you value your time, harddrive space and resources, even monitors and better sound and PC's all replaced just popping a tape in the VCR and having some alone time. Back years ago everyone had a tv and VCR not everyone has a computer even today for porn but more and more computer , porn and internet all mean the same.
It is the counselor in me sorry people. But over complicated process in my head never looks at one answer and I do notice 99% of the time I am in left field in the PU group. Kinda like the black sheep of the crew here. LOL

I voted "other", since the question is too vague. To me "online porn" means watching stuff online. Personally I wouldn't pay a cent for the latter. I download stuff that I like, and it stops being "online porn".

Generally it is a good value because for 1 month you can download pretty much all the content the site has. Granted I wouldn't pay more then 30 for a site.
