Crap! I got infected! My computer, that is... I don't normally go to the 'Tube' sites, but I went looking for a certain file and got burned. I doubt it's serious, but it sure is annoying. The virus wiped out my virus protection software and substituted a very convincing looking "Windows XP Anti-Virus Software." That software reported that my computer was about to melt down and that the only fix was to buy that software. I almost got sucked in, but thankfully didn't. The moral of the story isn't what you'd think it is. The real moral of the story is that we all have an ethical obligation to find some pimply cunt living is his mother's basement writing this crap and box his ears. Not too hard, just enough to make him scared and cry. I might be scarce here for a few days...

Maybe if he stays in that basement long enough, the radon gas will give him cancer. There's always hope! I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

There was thread a while back that was on the same theme of fake anti-virus malware. Are you sure that your real anti-virus software was wiped out? If the fake message you saw was in a browser page, that might have been the extent of your infection. You probably wouldn't have really been infected unless you downloaded and installed some program or file the fake message told you to download and install. And it sounds like you didn't fall into that trap. Or pay for the malware, which would have been a different trap. So you might want to see if your computer is still protected by whatever anti-virus/firewall/anti-whatever protection you already have installed on your PC.

This has happened to me before, too. I have Karpersky anti-virus, and it was wiped right off my C: drive. I re-installed it off the internet, using the credentials and password I used when it was initially purchased. So much for the virus.... wasn't bothered with it thereafter.

I got burned with an identical virus. Hopefully you don't have the same version as mine because in my case. I had to reformat the entire drive. This nasty little virus hides itself in a radom file and although anti-virus and malware software remove it. It's still somehere on the hard drive and keeps reapearing. I took my 2 computers to the tech guys and although they claimed the virus was gone. It came back within a day or 2. Good Luck. Long live the Brown Coats.

Get a better tech guy Some of the new stuff has gotten a bit trickier. Once you remove the fake software, you can no longer run any program - it's a very simple fix once you know how, but very weird for me to try to explain how to do it... Some have been setting the hidden attribute on every file it can making your hard drive & documents folders appear empty even if they are not. Again simple fix if you know how, but weird to explain through a message board. The vast, vast, vast majority of the fake anti-virus software you get are not destructive and very simple to remove off once you know how. They are mere annoyances more than anything else.

That virus hit me too. It took me about three hours, but I removed it myself. Of course, add another hour and a half seeking the answer. Annoying, but not majorly lethal.

I’m back among the living. First, thanks for not being judgmental. I suspect that if there is a forum on the internet that wouldn’t declare me an idiot for getting a virus, this is it. What happened was I was on a tube site and clicked a link to a video. That’s it. Then all hell broke loose. Whatever this thing was disabled my anti-virus software and took over everything else. Any attempt to use anything would bring a warning that my computer was in serious danger… but… I was offered ‘help.’ A pretty convincing-looking screen popped up telling me that “Microsoft Windows XP Virus Scanner” could fix it. The only question I had to deal with is did I want to pay for one, two, or three years of service. Honestly, in my panic I almost signed up, but thankfully that rational part of my brain kicked in and smelled the scam. I tried doing a system restore and that only made things worse. While I didn’t get the warning from the scam virus protection, none of my software would work. Oddly, this only happened in one profile on the computer. I have two profiles and the other one worked fine. I’m no techie, so it was off to the shop. Thankfully I am pretty careful about storing porn on an external drive. Not that I give a flying-fuck that anyone would see my porn, but there is no chance that a PC failure will cause a loss. So late yesterday I got a call that all was well. I’ve been dealing with a small shop not far from where I live. I’ve been going to them for years. One thing I like about them is they actually try to fix things before suggesting that the OS needs to be wiped and reinstalled. Some years ago the battery in my PC came loose and caused a problem when I unplugged the computer. It reverted to standard settings and there was a conflict between it wanting to use the motherboard for sound and the actual sound card. It was still under warranty so I called Dell and explained what happened. All I needed to do was find out how to disable the sound on the motherboard. The tech immediately starts talking me through the process to wipe my drive and reinstall. Even with my limited tech knowledge I knew that going nuclear on a minor issue was waaaaay overboard. And if I did wipe and reinstall the switch would STILL have to be reset anyway. Soooo… like Lazarus (if Lazarus was into porn, which, as a guy, he probably was), I’ve arisen from the dead. But instead of Jesus doing the heavy lifting, all it took was paying a fellow nerd some cash. Amen.

Oh, and I might add that if Tanner Mayes did an anal scene while I was out of commission one of you would be courteous enough to tell me that, right?

The rumour is that Tanner did one anal in the beginning of her short career. As far as I know it was either never filmed or will never see the light of day. Now for the bad news. She as retired so it's unlikely that we will ever get another anal scene. She might have a couple of unreleased scenes but none of those would be anal. She wasa really popular young performer so if there was an anal scene somewhere then you can bet we would have heard about it or already scene it. Long live the Brown Coats.

Supposedly there is a video at Pure 18 where Tanner is getting it doggy style and the guy tries to go anal several different times but her butt is too tight. He just got in a few short strokes. Probably about as close as you'll get if she's retired now. But don't hold me to it, I just heard about it. Perhaps if you contacted that site they could confirm it one way or the other. Ouch! I didn't know that. That's too bad. Now I'll have to find another model to develop an unhealthy interest in. Maybe Cheyenne Cooper or Lexi Diamond...

Funny, I have been hit with this twice in the past month, one just a few days ago. The mother-in-law got it as well. I just fixed that today. This time it appeared as if everything was deleted out of my personal folders, My Documents and such. It is possible to get rid of this shit without redoing your whole system, but once it is in there is a good chance it has opened a door to allow it back in. You can find recent purchase codes which suppress software but these change frequently. Download this "Paragon Backup & Recovery™ 2010 Free Advanced" software, or something similar. While your computer is not messed up or after a fresh install and keep it somewhere else. You need to make a back up image and keep it on a different drive. Also, you need a second computer or at least an extra drive with OS that can be used in your current computer. Can be an older, smaller drive. I know it can seem like a lot of work, but trust me, starting over from scratch is much more difficult and if you do not have your installation disks it can be a total nightmare. Do yourself a favor, make a complete back up image, not just a back up of your important personal files. I sincerely hope no one ever has to use the back up, but it is worth the piece of mind of having. Norton Power Eraser. It's specifically designed for emergency situations like that where nothing else will run. It will wipe out virtually anything. Plus it's free. Then add Microsoft Security Essentials, which is also free. Edited on May 23, 2011, 01:39pm

A related question (two actually): 1) is AVG of any value? It didn't block this virus and it got the shit kicked out of itself in the process. Is the free version really only worth what I paid for it? 2) my ISP (and most ISPs) offer free virus scan. I'm assuming that this might be a better choice than free AVG. Thoughts? My biggest beef with anti-virus software is how it can make everything run slow.

Just now I had a major scare with a malware virus that also tried to shut my computer down. I'd bet it's the same one you dealt with but it has evolved since the last time I dealt with it. Now it seems to be imitating a very believable version of the Microsoft Security Center. Unfortunately my Norton Power Eraser was not up to date and the virus blocked the needed update for it to run. I had download it on my laptop and transfer it with a thumb drive. However again, once that program gets going it's a beast. Totally wiped the malware off the computer. As far as AVG, I wouldn't blame it too much. The type of Malware that is being run here will get past virtually anything. Really I'd bet the AVG actually detected it, much like my anti- virus software did. It just didn't have the chance to eliminate it because of the suppression that the malware uses. Not to belabor the point but I'd just get Microsoft Security Essentials, it's free and rated just as highly as AVG, Norton, etc. It's VERY NON-INVASIVE, unlike Norton(I only use the Power Eraser program) and has worked very well for me.
