You might try the QuickTime app, for which there's a free download, PC compatible. It's not the most savory solution, as it's one more app, and then you'll be hounded by the updates, and those are painfully slow on installation. And right after an update install, it automatically CHECKS FOR UPDATES! WTF?!?!?! And the app itself isn't that hot anyway. So it would be something of an act of desperation. Hope it doesn't have to come to that. A better solution would be for sites to just cut it with the .mov (QT) altogether. Sorry, I know this doesn't help you. Most? Naah. Even SimonScans has no more than a "60% close-up, starting to forget what the model's face looked like" rate. At 21st Sextury there are plenty enough of those tight shots of beaver and ass, with or without company to entertain. We've visited this topic before, but it's good to get back into it once in a while ... like now. I no longer even try to look at scenes in which the girl is wearing "angel wings." To me, it's the most worn-out cliche in the softcore universe. Food smeared on the body is also a definite turnoff, as is any sort of grime (sand, dark grease, etc.). As for the bathtub, shower, jacuzzi, hot tub, etc., I generally like those scenes unless the girl has suds all over herself in the choice poses. Then it's trash. I can think of a couple of tub scenes right off the top that I really love, one of Eufrat (she's done a few) and one of Kami, that tall Czech redhead with the great legs and ass and, well, everything else. But I don't like the watery sets done by Rylsky or Antonio Clemens at Met-Art. It's usually dark and there's spray or splashing sometimes and the girl's all wet and drippy. (Costner already proved the "Waterworld" concept to be unappealing.) However, they've both done plenty of other kinds of scenes that are great. Oh, and scenes with heavy shadows or high bright light to low light contrasts. Garbage. And speaking of all things to do with light, there's color. I want the girls to have natural skin color. Orange skin is a definite no-no. I see that Bikini-Pleasure has a recent set of Viky Day, a really beautiful girl. But not when she's the color of a Fruit Loop. Toys: I avoid Simon Scans. There are some lovely girls and nice image quality these days, but it's only about the kind of toy insertion a girl would get into when she knows that an asteroid is headed straight for earth and that the end is near. Twistys and 21st Sextury are often guilty of making toy play the only thing it's about. But to really answer the question, the ones that leave me cold are of girls getting naked out in the snow. The stuff I don't want to lose I have on hard drives AND I burn on to CD's. I've just done CD number 1033 of photos. The number of CDs with videos I don't have a count of, but it must be in the 100's. It's a pain, but something like 4 or so dead hard drives later, I know that there's none that is completely invulnerable. Same goes for CD's, sure, but it's insurance. Actually, considering how insurance is these days, it's BETTER than insurance. I do hope I never have to restore my collection from all of those CD's! At first, I tried storing my porn stash on 12-inch vinyl records. Problem was, they didn't hold enough data. Plus there was the issue of analog-to-digital conversion. I don't think that the studios should avoid the web, as it's a preferred route to the "rabbit play" for a lot of users. Their stuff gets posted on the web on the free sites, ripped right off those DVDs anyway. The entire contents of DVDs are posted. I think one reason why some studios have crappy sites is because their pre-Internet-Age management doesn't know the difference between a shitty site and a good one. They have someone put it together, they ask to see it, and without really checking it out, they think, "OK, we're on the Internet now, too. Hooray, and give Bob here a nice corner office." It still amazes me how many people are "net-deaf," if I may coin the term. They just don't get what it's all about. And they don't care to know, either. And I know that some people who aren't that swift in some areas still wind up being the big cheeses and calling the shots. I mean, fine-looking girls who do hardcore porn are still being told to have boob jobs even though a lot of porn consumers find them objectionable. I've also been lamenting the "Boobification" of the lovelies you've mentioned. I used to sit bolt upright every time I came across new material of Rebecca Linares. Hey, Pat, I'm curious. Just how widespread is the sentence-final "eh?" in Canada?
