Well, Denner, if you've never been, you might want to give it a try sometime. For one thing, the newer video quality is really good, and for pics, the ones that go up to 3290px or so begin in Dec. 06 or maybe even earlier. And they're really good quality. I'll have to add Mia Moore (aka Nikki Nine) to my list of favorites -- she's really beautiful! -- and there are more. You know I'm not a vid fan for softcore, but I did check out one of blond Zoe there (one of the finest women I've ever laid eyes on), and it was nice! It was of a photoshoot, but the mood was positive and she had a lot of appeal. I don't know how they do billing for y'all in Europe, but if it's in dollars, now's a good time. No, not mine. I love dogs, but the one in the picture was simply the best droolin' dog shot I could find, and I'd looked through several, gauging both photo quality and the visibility of drool. I made mine the maximum size allowed, 100 square. It works pretty nicely with the color scheme here at PU, too. It was a lucky find. I didn't want a photo of a person drooling, or only of drool hanging out of someone's mouth. That's disgusting. It's natural for a dog to drool. And they're animals. One more thing I'll say in favor of ALS Scans is this: When they reissue a photoset in larger sizes, they include all of the original issue shots and usually more on top of that. I wish I could say the same for 1byday, but they've dropped some really choice ass shots in some of their reissued material. I don't understand why they do this, and maybe there's a good reason, but it's frustrating when that lovely shot that was originally in 938x631 is gone from the newly released 2000px version. ALS Scans has made quality improvements and is reissuing old content in better sizes and video qualities on a gradual basis. The blog by Alex is also a good read. I read it at least once quickly every time there's a new post. It's how I learned first-hand that Sarah Blake and (earlier) Nella got boob jobs. He also posts extra photos from older or newer shoots or even shoots to come, which I snatch up like a pidgeon at a train station. But as you know, I'm an ass man first and foremost. I love the pics I've gotten of some of the models such as Zuzana Zeleznovova, Isabella Sky, and Gitta Blond. I'm also really looking foward to the reissue of the Sophie Moone 2002 shoot, among others. These are pics with the girl's buns squarely on display with her looking back (or at least her sexy face is visible), and there's no cropping away except below the upper thigh. I do wish that more pics of that sort would be in the photoshoots. There are lots of shoots with hundreds of pics and not one that matches what I've described. I think they're more a matter of happy accident when they do show up rather than intentional omission when they don't. That's because the everyday special there is female genitalia, which is treated as a kind of plaything. Bottles, produce, specula, and clip-on metal thingies are among the accessories. Pussy lips can be stretched quite a bit! I'm reminded of this toy in the late 1970's called "Stretch Armstrong," a brawny blond male with arms and legs that could be stretched to incredible lengths. Most of the girls on ALS are very beautiful, and I do appreciate the ALS policy of all-natural breasts, though their acceptance of girls with excessive tatoos puts a definite damper on the "all-natural" concept. Whether all of the the pussy playtime is natural or not is, I suppose, in the eye of the beholder. But once I've downloaded a photoset, having spotted the too-rare choice ass shots, I control-click every photo in which I can spot a speculum, Rocket, or cucumber, and into the trash they go. What I'm about to say might strike one as very cynical, but I've lived through enough to know that it is possible: that the religious conversion text that we've been discussing wasn't even penned by Erica at all. It could have been written by someone else for the purpose that you describe, with or without Erica's knowledge. Or it could be for real. We really don't know for sure. There are wheels within wheels, and what we can't see is just as important as what we are shown. Yes, I agree that lubricant, the kind sold by your friendly adult sexual aid shop, would definitely be better. After all, it was intended to pave the pathways of pleasure. Spit contains enzymes for breaking down food, so it's not the best choice. I was told about the starving children in Korea, but not about the E European women. Yes, I think we've had this kind of conversation before. And perhaps some porn consumers have that attitude that everything must be "Anglicized" or "Americanized" (in a very narrow, "white" preconception that misses the enormous contributions of everyone else). Here's something that I just don't agree with at all, and I've seen such complaints before. I don't find the Eastern European women to be categorically any more or less "emotionless" than any other regionally defined group. It isn't like the female half of society turns into icy little robots, programmed with Quicken, once one moves, say, east of the Rhine. Spin the globe, stop, point to an area: Of course, they're ALL in it for the money! And they'll make less if they lack the sex appeal, which of course is more a matter of getting a feeling across than it is of looks. Over the years, I've gotten to know women from this part of world myself, from Hungary, the Czech Republic, Poland, Russia, Romania, Bulgaria, the Baltics, the Balkans, and so on, and it's like the old saying goes, "It takes all kinds." Sweet girls, flirty girls, cold girls, scheming girls, neurotic girls, psycho girls, etc. Remind you of any place familiar? So I've been quite surprised at this notion about what is a really diverse group of women, and wonder what could possibly explain it. But I doubt that the tide is going to turn back. Reason? These girls are popular! If they weren't, the number of sites that feature them would dwindle, and that sure as hell isn't happening. And just in case you haven't thought of it, you should be sure to point out that your newer photo content is available in both 1500 and 1024 pixels. I think it's a selling point that the tour should include, along with the all-in-one zips. I guess I feel like making this point because KarupsHA was doing 1500px since early last year but made no mention of it on its tour pages. The only way I found out? It was mentioned in a review here. Landscape is fine as long as the scene is well-composed. The girl is laying there, full and ripe of body. Snap! Then what do we get? Cropped butt cheeks, cramped crania, and missing upper appendages no matter what the orientation is. And then they'll pop it in their photo editor to overlay this hideous watermark which covers part of the girl's head or ass. And finally, they'll reduce the image quality so that important color and line information is magically vanquished before our eyes can see it. That finishes off the job! It's now ready for posting on the web! Honestly, I've seen "landscape-only" by this one photographer at ATK Premium, and in many shots the girl occupies about 30% or less of the photo. To me, that makes no sense. Some of them were even like, "Hey, who's that girl standing over there?" I emailed them and complained. When the girls are standing, sitting, or even laying belly down on a bed, portrait can work just fine, if you ask me. I guess the question is -- as the girl holds the pose -- which orientation works better here? I'd agree that sometimes the right choice isn't made. Nah. "Hakuna matada" on that. I was just expressing my reaction to such things. I agree, it is surprising to see Adriana Malkova and Katerina Hovorkova on a pain site. Looking at it in how things happened over time, there was 1. First my comment on the site June 11, 2007 "They're working on a redesign." That was very positive, as I was looking forward to it. 2. Then in August, 2007 you sent me the two emails (which you reposted in your above message to which I'm now replying). To me, they looked like they could be bribes. Could be. Of course, I could have been wrong, and you say that I was. I try to avoid getting into possible conflicts of integrity. You also said in your emails the following: "Hi Drooler, Jeff from Karups here. I saw the recent review of KPC on PU and your reply to it. I'll likely reply to both of them on the site later today, but wanted to send you a personal e-mail before I do ..." But you did not reply to them on the site (PU). I don't know what you'll say to this, Jeff, but that lack of upfront communication where members could see it made me wonder why. Had you replied, at least by August, to my June 11, 2007 comment with some indication that the site redesign was going to take longer than expected, then that would have helped both you, your site, and me. But you didn't. 3. Instead, there was nothing further until my Jan. 9, 2008 reply to Congestus, to which you responded on the same day. Well, of course I had felt a sense of betrayal. Here I was, having said something positive back in June, the egg still on my face, and SIX MONTHS LATER you bother to post on this site with your remarks telling me that somehow I'm in the wrong for feeling as I did by that time. Then I explained, YOU IGNORED, and you just offered a free membership as if what I'd said was just so much spit in wind. With the above as the developed context, my remarks on this forum are beyond you. You don't appreciate me "bashing" you or the site. And you think that I'm being "unfair." You poor thing! Me, I LOVE being bashed! Who doesn't? If I want some, I'll just give Jeff a call. This is almost funny. Well, now, I am very tired of this image manipulation nonsense. A few closeups of the girl's face, eyes, breasts, and ass (especially) are nice, though there also have to be more complete shots as well. I hate it when there's a lovely shot of the girl's ass all evenly flat (but still round!) on a bed but no shots at the same angle, top of head (no cropping!) to upper thighs. I think the people who put out photosets like that are idiots. My computer monitor knows this better than anyone. The "In Tight" (which at least used to be a feature at DigitalDesire), "Bodyscape" (which still shows up at MPL Studios), and such are mostly a friggin' waste of time and money. If you do a keyword search at TBP for "POV," you'll get 32 sites. Looking at the listing dates, it would seem that it started in late 2005 but then picked up a bit in 2006. This could be way off from the date you have, though. Just the same, TBP doesn't have a "POV" niche. I don't know if other review sites do. Could be. I got some thrills from DreamStash, which isn't in the POV list even though POV is mainly what it is with the hardcore. I got tired of the erratic updates and some of the photo quality. Copped a fair amount of vids from it, though. Haven't been since June 2006, and at that time it was bundled with Dr. Harcore, Exploited Cunts, and a very weird site called Boner Bunny, which had the girls being fucked by a guy wearing this big ass rabbit suit. I'd say that try as it might to be different and be more of a visceral sex experience for the viewer, POV doesn't work. You know the girl is fucking someone else. You can see the penetration -- but it would be worse if you never could. About the only good thing about POV is that it makes it a point to push the male out of view as much as it can. But it's just a step further from regular porn, which also avoids focus on the male most of the time. Boner Bunny took care of it by stuffing the dude in that big suit. Maybe the strong differences in preferences can be at least somewhat understood by this. I hit 40 just around the time that the Internet that we know was really starting to pick up speed (though "www" then still often meant "world wide wait"). So nudie pics in mags featured prominently in my formative years. I'd learn Dad's in's and out's at home so I'd know when it was safe to delve into his Playboy stash and get another brain soaking of Miss January with the 60's hairstyle and also get a dose of social acculturation from Little Annie Fannie. I've always preferred pictures because there's no sound or movement. The image quality is usually considerably better than in videos, too. Not that I don't like videos at all, but they're just not my favorite thing. You do realize that you're asking people about something that really cannot be adquately explained with reasons. They're just tastes, or what some might call preferences. Why do I get asked if I want cheese on a tuna sandwich? I think it's a weird question (the answer, to me at least, is obviously "no"), but I suppose some people like it. It makes me think of slow cows morphing into fast-moving, large fish. And some will insist on Swiss. Some people think Americans are weird because they put ketchup on French Fries. And I'm sure that for some, foie gras is an acquired taste. Frankly, I don't understand why people go for videos that take longer to download, have lower image quality, and take up more hard drive space. They often have bad editing, jerky camera movements, poor frame composition, mediocre sound (or annoying techno music tracks), and unrealistic or unappealing performances. And which they have to fast foward or click through on a player in order to skip past the parts they're not as interested in. But I'm not going to ask why. Thanks for starting this thread. If there's one thing that makes me gasp (again!) in frustration is "Hi-Rez pics" or something vaguely similar in a review. It means NOTHING!! It's like saying that a BLT is freakin' sandwich! But thanks to you and especially Toadsith, who seems able to type comprehensibly at 110 wpm, 20 pages per sitting, a lot of ground has been covered already. I've been tolerant and, wishing not to ruffle feathers, have not taken any reviewers to task for what seem to me to have been obvious omissions of points of fact. Well, that's a strategem that would work if most everyone did it. Nice idea there, exotics4me: offer a complimentary membership, and if it's accepted, you're guaranteed to have your score docked 10 points! I think that the webmasters are counting on some kind of quid pro quo (even dishonesty has its presumed limits), but this ... this would kill off the practice in a hurry. I was contacted by KarupsPC. Their contact person asked me to reconsider the rating I gave them. I was also offered a free membership, but in a second email close in time to the first. I just changed my settings at PU so that webmasters couldn't contact me by email. Been that way since. Months later, there was exchange between myself and the KarupsPC guy at the reviews part of KarupsPC. (See replies to the review by the since-disabled "Congestus.") He chides me for ignoring those emails; the words he uses are that he "reached out" to me. But there was nothing at that time to "reach out" with because the major site update was months away from completion. My rating was based on the site as it WAS at the time, not as it was "promised" to be in the future. (I'm a sceptical sort. Have the burn marks to back it up.) Anyway, I wrote a long reponse to his chiding message to me; he replied by completely ignoring it and offering me a complementary membership right there in front of everyone. I'm with JBDICK. You guys run a fine, clean site, and you've also done a lot of work to make it even better. The forum, for the latest instance, is the easiest forum to use I've ever been on. (At lot of them are so full of detailed rules and iconography and so on -- and just want to post a little message -- that I don't bother sometimes.) You guys have your web smarts down -- and a helluva lot better than some of the sites that get reviewed here (a-hem). The only thing I've (very rarely) had trouble with was losing a reply or at least a long wait for it to post, after I've clicked to submit. But I'm not sure if that's a PU problem or another one. I agree on both counts. Legit PU members who don't do a lot here should be able to express themselves without getting "friendly fire" that would be intended only for negative shills. (Personally, I check the user for the kind of activity on record in addition to the slamming review(s), and if there isn't much, I at least know that I could be taking my chances.) Besides, some sites get quite a range of opinions. Where are the shills? Sometimes it's hard to tell, if there are any to begin with. And some shills are pretty good at covering their tracks. They participate in poll discussions, reply to comments or reviews, etc. I once found out that a user had been dropped once the admin folks at PU discovered that he was using a machine from one of the content provider web sites. That was a surprise. And of course some of them are pretty thin between the ears, or just too damn lazy to work up and keep up a good con. They're easy enough to spot. It's really true that the term "hi-rez" gets bandied about for all manners of dimensions ... and resolutions, for that matter. Any site that makes that claim and doesn't explain it in detail, don't take them seriously! But of course large dimensions, high dpi (say 300) in pics, and high bitrates in vids (not sure what the threshold number is for high) don't themselves guarantee good content. There are plenty of ways to fuck it up, and a lot of sites are expert at that. There was a poll or two a while back on this topic. You might want to look it/them up because as I recall some folks were pretty knowledgeable on the subject. Yes, indeed. The true stars of SimonScans are about 8 (or more) inches tall and 2 (or more) inches wide and are, in terms of colors and features, a virtual rainbow of diversity. The main problem is lack of personality coming through from the model. I think that's what accounts for a lot of the "sameness," but not all of it, of course. Beautiful, sexy, charming, photogenic -- it's asking for a lot, I know, but that's what I want. Marina/Euphrat is a great example of that fairly rare model who has it all. Just about everything I've found of her I've gotten. A lot of the poses might start looking the same, but it doesn't matter because I'm simply captivated by her. Sometimes it might be the photographer's fault. There's a new girl at HegreArt named Mia who, when she smiles, really shows a lot of sparkle and charm. But the galleries have too many photos of her with a plain and almost disinterested expression. "Naked Boredom" is less than 50% OK. Toys, I think, are a major problem, because any kind of props are going to distract attention away from the model's personality most of the time. Toys are done to such EXCESS that they lose all effect! The worst thing, though, is when, in response to complaints about boredom, the photographers (directors, whatever) take things in a kinky direction, with food play and whatnot.
