It's been documented that once gun control is in effect, gun violence diminishes. That happened, for example, in Australia after a rash of public multiple murders followed by legislation that tightened the laws on gun ownership along with a "turn in your guns" program.

Whether Jessie Rogers is/was a porn star or isn't/might become a US citizen is completely immaterial to whether her views should be aired. Consideration of them should not be obfuscated by such factors that are irrelevant to the issue.

I very much disagree with her, but she has the right to express what she thinks. And after all, we no longer live so much in a world of separate nations as we do in one of globally interconnected people. So put the flag away. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

This really gave me a laugh. They'd have fewer customers, therefore fewer complaints, therefore better customer service, I suppose.

However, banks are all charging too much for money they loan to us and paying us far too little for the deposits we entrust to them. Now, I suppose some biz weenie is going to tell me that it's been good for the economy. (After all, hasn't the economy been doing well?)

And hey, isn't this as good a place as any to rant? Considering how shameful and ridiculous some things are, a good round of ranting is certainly in order! I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

I feel that special mention should be given to Michelle Moist, who in scene after scene projects sexual energy like the Luxor in Las Vegas projects light. I always perk up when I see there's something new of her. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

Social networking is something, IMHO, that you might do on the web, though before the web became popular, it was done much more often face-to-face. And it was, as I'm sure it still is, with a shared purpose in mind.

The trouble is that the "social networking" sites offer not only social networking, but data mining opportunities for marketers and potential employers, to name just two. And that's why I also refrain from getting involved in social networking web sites. In the pre-web world, it would have been akin to shaking someone's hand, then finding out that I'm blacklisted and bombarded by direct mail at the same time. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

I had a little stack of MAD books a long, long time ago. Things like "How people see you." (The dentist just sees teeth hovering over a standing body; the boss sees ears but nothing else (no brain).)

MAD was hilarious, along with National Lampoon and Cracked.

I loved the MAD parodies of TV shows like Mannix ("Manic") and movies like Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid ("Botch Casually and the Some Dunce Kid").

And sure, we have The Onion now, but it's just not the same!

BTW, let's not forget "Little Annie Fannie" in Playboy magazine in the 1960's. It was actually painted at first, not drawn, but the approach to humor was kind of similar to MAD, with lots of social parody from that time. Photographers who come from an "art nude", fashion or portrait background have been educated by teachers and peer pressure to produce images with strong shadows. There is actually something called a "lighting ratio" which is a number used to define the ratio between lighting strengths of main and fill light.

This is actually technically more difficult to do than "flat lighting" in which everything is lit without shadows. I shoot with flat lighting. Most "art" photographers would ridicule flat lighting. "Skilled" photographers gain admiration from their peers by having shadows! Models love shadows because it makes them look moody and sophisticated.

Models especially like being lit by just one main light but with another light set to cast a very narrow beam just onto their hair.

Shooting outdoors is HUGELY more difficult than shooting in a studio. Shooting when the sun is not obscured by cloud is the most difficult lighting to shoot people. The shadow is not caused by the photographer's own shadow. It is caused by the model's shadow, or even by the shadow of parts of the model's body or face.

The sun is effectively a point light source. The part of the body or face which is directed towards the sun is in full light. The part which is shaded by the model's own face or body is almost in darkness as far as the camera is concerned.

Again, many "art" photographers like this very large lighting ratio. It can be reduced by using reflectors but these need an assistant to hold them to stop them blowing away in the wind and they greatly slow down the process of shooting. Or you can use studio flash outdoors, powered by large heavy battery backs, as fill lighting. Again this is cumbersome, difficult and slow.

It is easier to shoot under a grey overcast sky because this is a large soft light source but it is still coming from above so you can get shadows below the model.

Studio lighting is easier to control because it uses diffusers on the lights and you can completely control it. It stays at the intensity you set it at. Whereas sunlight under partial cloud cover varies greatly in intensity from one moment to the next. So not only do you get light and dark on the one shot but you are constantly having to alter the exposure.

It is true that studio lighting is not cheap but I doubt that anyone shoots for websites using on-camera flash.

Even in the studio, or in an indoor non-studio location, you can still get problems lighting the underneath "interesting" areas of a model. You can use more than two lights and some photographers do this. I have shot sets using three lights but this all adds time and complexity and may be impossible in small rooms which, sometimes, can only accommodate one light.

Shooting models for sites is carried out under huge pressure of time. You have to set up and shoot incredibly fast. You have a model for a finite time. She has to catch a train home. You do the best you can with the simplest lighting you can get away with.

I can add one more thing to this. It used to be that a photographer would do a shoot on film and perhaps shoot ten rolls of film to get two or three good images. Nowadays, for a porn shoot, you are expected to produce 1500 images in the same amount of time.

This was one of the most interesting reads about nude photography I've ever come across. You explain well.

I'm going to be blunt here. Not to you personally. It's just my view as a consumer who has viewed thousands upon thousands of images. Here goes.

As far as I'm concerned, flat lighting in the studio is pretty much the way to go. Those "art" photographers with their fetish and ego trip and snobbishness and pecking order about shadows in photography can just go crawl into one and and disappear and never return! THEY are the ones who TIME and AGAIN have RUINED my enjoyment of a model's beauty and sexiness with their excessive shadows. Things that I PAID for! There's a vaginal exam on PBS? I'm going to have to bookmark their listings page and stop missing out!

Good point of analysis, as it turns out to be called, of the distinction between the spread and the stretch. Makes me wonder how much the spread might indicate the possible extent of the stretch, AND ... AND the point at which the spread becomes a stretch. Probably would help to have one of those circular things with clothespins like they do at ALS, but with finer calibration. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

Happy New Year, fellow PUers. This thread poses two basic questions. As for their being related to each other, you can decide for yourself. Personally, I think that proximity counts.

1. Funny how with about 2055 threads on this forum, a scant 11 or so have titles mentioning the vagina by that or another name. You'd think that the PornUsers forum would have more focus than .005% on the subject. Maybe this will bring us away, for a moment, from discussions of sports, movies, and the latest news in "the industry," and we can stop acting like 40-year-old virgins.

Do you like seeing the models stretch their pussies? There are a few sites that really get into this. ALS Scans comes immediately to mind, but I was amazed, upon my reviewing my ATK Galleria collection of Lacey Leveah, just how stretchable she is. She is endowed with a most remarkable organ.

2. Who has the most amazing bubble butt? I nominate three contenders, though there are probably others: Melisa, Jenni, and Mia Malkova.

Note that two are Czech. Mia is supposedly from California, but perhaps her name has something to do with her ethnic heritage. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

I second Pink Panther's recommendation of the ALS sites, and add TorridArt, MPL Studios, WowGirls, and the Diesel Network, which you can find I believe by looking up 18OnlyGirls.

That should be enough to keep you occupied for a good long while! I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

Getting back to the thread ... (a-hem) ... having gone where no tattoo thread has gone before ...

The "full-body dip" that Graymane is "promoting" might do fine as a "primer" color, with the "art" to be added later. You know, it's kind of like having a default background color on yer web page.

It would be fun to have a "nude" weather forecaster in the same blue shade as the blue screen. Then we'd only see her eyes, mouth and hair while she gives the forecast.

Well, it's a good thing I'm not drinkin' today, I s'pose. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

I think that excessive tattooing is a behavior disorder, just as is excessive piercing, plastic surgery or hair pulling. The person just can't stop!

With beautiful women, it could be basically like this: woman is beautiful and does a lot to stay beautiful, then starts to adorn her body with tats and/or piercings as enhancements (in her eyes), then winds up having overdone it and looks worse for it, then "compensates" by doing even more.

It's good that there are at least some girls, like Susie Carina, who have been in the biz for quite a while but haven't succumbed to these urges.

Anyway, another ... I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

I remember "MacPlaymate." You had this sort of animated female laying back and kicking her legs and fondling her breasts a bit while you dragged and dropped various sex toy pictures into the region of her joy box.

Said sex toys would then "fuck" the MacPlaymate. I can't recall if there was a score, but it was kind of fun for a short time.

I think it came out in the early '90's.

These days, you'd need one powerful game to keep people in it, something like "Jenna Haze Quest" (a just-made-up title) with her as the grand prize. Then you'd have all kinds of evil obstacles getting in your way, like canceled flights to SoCal or a home invasion or ugly sluts you have to fuck first or a testicular cancer scare or the fiscal cliff, to name just a few.

And just as you'd be getting really close to Jenna, they'd hit you with Proposition B and you'd have to suddenly go out on a petition drive and so forth. (I mean, hey, you wouldn't want to have to wear a condom!)

Well, for what it's worth. Love doesn't have to be a game. Porn, for that matter, doesn't either. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England. Edited on Dec 20, 2012, 07:52am

When you hear the warnings they give on the TV ads for prescription drugs, for "fatal events" (their tidy new euphemism for "deaths") caused by their use, it's not hard to believe.

It's been hard to believe the obvious subtext of those messages: "Not only are you, the viewer, stupid, but you're actually THIS STUPID." But I'm starting to get used to it.

Getting back to our regularly scheduled program ... it's hard to know at this point, so soon after the enormous tragedy, whether gun control would have mattered in a case like this or not ... not that I wouldn't mind more gun control. I agree that we shouldn't be sexist, 'cause bitches hate that.

But seriously, I don't like the degradation of women in porn, either. To me, women are a gift to man. They should be honored, respected, and treasured. And that includes the ones who suck dicks and take it up the ass in front of a camera for our prurient pleasure.

And as a parting comment, I might add that the males who treat these women with demeaning terms and rough sexual positions are the ones who deserve the reddening ass slaps and choke holds.

But who knows? They might actually like it.

The problems that I have with VirtuGirl are that 1. it's just one more app that needs updates sometimes (sometimes a complete replacement), that 2. the data files take up a lot of space, and that 3. I just don't spend that much time with desktop dancers anyway.

If, in addition to the desktop app, they had VIDEOS you could download of the same, it would be easier.

Should this just sound like more "Drooler bitching," I would like to conclude by saying that I did like the way the app ran and also the photos at the site, which were very stylish. I mean the models were in what they wore. And the starkness of the background (white), while irksome to some, suited me fine. (After all, it's not called "background" for nothing.) I can think of two sites I've seen that do feature dancing models: VirtuaGirl (still active) and JJ1 (apparently gone).

VirtuaGirl requires a download of their software (and occasional updates thereafter). Having subscribed, on my previous machine I had some "desktop strippers/dancers" and some of them were pretty hot. However, the novelty wore off and I just went for the pictures after that. LOL

JJ1 was a small outfit set up by this guy who would shoot the girls dancing naked and then edit things down to a small Adobe Flash Player (.swf) file that played like a dirty dance loop in one of those adult book stores of times gone by. The emphasis was on wiggling asses and flopping tits. I joined a couple of times wa-a-ay back in '04, when bandwidth was scarcer by far (in the US, at least).

I still have some of girls like Jamie Lynn and Sydney Moon. The Jamie Lynn ass wiggle file is only 501K and it plays fine in my Foxfox browser.

So there's some history and currency there for you, for what it's worth. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England. Edited on Dec 01, 2012, 06:49am

I tend to go for the slower stuff. Too much tossing the babe around, grabbing her throat, putting the foot on her head, or just going at it like a jack hammer in high gear with a broken selector switch -- it's all too much for me.

Sure, with sexual excitement it's normal to have increased pounding speed along the way, but some of the stuff is just off the rails.

You also tend to get poorer camera work when there's so much craziness. You get more blurry shots and odd compositions. Hey, if I want it blurry, I'll rinse my eyes and then watch.

imHo I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

This is a question for you porn hounds: Do you like to see fucking that is really aggressive, such as what you'd probably expect from Eric Everhard or Ryan Madison, or fucking that is slower and more savory, the kind you tend to get at, say, FuckedHard18? Happy Thanksgiving!

Stay safe and don't eat too much. (Sorry if I'm a bit late in saying that.) I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

That was actually a reference to these ads that used to run on US television for "the fox," the mascot of a work-at-home-get-rich-quick-total-bullshit scheme that finally ran out of steam (well, hot air).

Remember that one? They had this one really nerdy looking guy talking about his "goals" for making even more money than the last month. And then there was the guy with the sports car and the fuck babe: "... and the money's great, too."

I'm glad that thing is over. Until the next one, of course. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

Most of our maintenance men are the usual Jack of all trades and masters of none, so anything could happen.

Eww, well, that sounds like a fine bit of engineering in the first place. And one thing I've learned, though under less stressful circumstances, is that the accumulation of water will hasten the process of metal pipe corrosion. I mean, it was just water all over the kitchen floor and leaking to the ceiling below; that's all.

So from one experienced in the wicked ways of water to another, GOOD LUCK! I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

My inflation-battered on this is that usually bonus sites aren't much to croon about, so reviewing one is kind of like reviewing a used car with 100,000 plus miles on it and all that goes with that.

That's why in my own reviews, bonus sites almost always get mentioned and commented on, but they aren't the cat's meow. They're more like hairballs patted into a corner somewhere.

And Messmer, good luck getting those leaks fixed. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England. Edited on Nov 14, 2012, 04:53pm

I'm even more of a burnout than Denner, having written my most "recent" review several months earlier than his.

Doesn't mean I won't write another again in the future, but it got to a point where I didn't have it in me to write them.

I suppose I could try analyzing why, but I don't think it's always a good idea to ask, as it implies a certain lack of acceptance of the change. I'd rather just let it be what it is. You know, why fight it? Who'd win?

Oh, hey, I know why! There were no PUey Awards last holiday season! Yeah, THAT'S why!

OK, here's something that's but it's related because it's about another recent trend in nude photography, and that is the girl scissor-clenching her labia majora between two fingers, either of the same hand or both hands.

I've seen this showing up recently at ATK Galleria and BareMaidens, for example, and Twistys, too.

One question, I suppose, is whether it's a turn-on for you porn hounds.

The other one is how it managed to spread so quickly as a popular thing to do at a variety of sites. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

Zappa's "Baby Don't You Want a Man Like Me" would be amusing, especially if you could synch the line "and she gives him some head" at the right point. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

The industry opposition is probably based on concerns that this could be some kind of "slippery slope ..."

IF you'll pardon the expression. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

Somebody ought to write a parody of the great Who song "Goin' Mobile" for this. Or perhaps somebody has??? I'd try, but it would probably take too long. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.

Well, I noticed the word "polefitness" in there. I can just imagine what that means!

Thanks (or should I say, "Dansk") Denner. It's all very nice! Plenty that's "Droolworthy," I'd say. I wanted something new, so I left England for New England. Edited on Nov 02, 2012, 07:58pm

Why do models put their necklaces in their mouths?

And why do models put their necklaces in their butt cracks? I wanted something new, so I left England for New England.
